It was late, dark, and my mind just spun with the information I had just received. I, Raeanne Lichter am adopted. Everyone used to say I looked so much like my dad. I didn’t see it, but I grinned and nodded anyway. How could they say I look so much like my dad, when he’s NOT MY DAD?! Leaning, I threw up and groaned. Tears stained my cheeks and dried, the salt stiffening on my face. Nothing made sense anymore, and I was confused. I felt as though I was falling, clutching at air, trying to save myself. I screamed in frustration, and kicked the wall, denting it somewhat. As my mind spun, my body stiffened, and my vision began to blacken. Moments later, I passed out.
My feet slapped against the hard pavement as I hurried along the darkened streets of Los Angeles, California. My name is Donald Martin, and I’m an assassin. Normally, if I was going to tell someone my identity, it’d be before I killed them. However, I have a story to tell, and I need you to listen.
I was hired by the U.S government to kill a man named Andre Mancinelli. They told me that he knew more than he was meant to, and was no longer needed. When you’re in this business, you learn not to ask a lot of questions. After I killed him, they were concerned he may have passes a lot of the information on to his daughter, a woman by the name of Daniella Mancinelli. She was 20 years old, and unmarried. I was asked to tail her. Little did I know that it’d be her tailing me..
As I watched her, it became quite clear that she knew nothing about why her father died. One day, however, she caught me watching her. A verbal fight ensued, and I ended up asking her to dinner without thinking about it. The date was amazing and I found myself falling in love with her. We dated a few more times, and ended up making love. It was beautiful. I’ll never forget it.
We became close, and I fell deeply in love with her. It was unavoidable. She was beautiful. After awhile, we began seeing less and less of each other, until finally, we stopped. One day, I was fed up and went to speak to her. We fought, and in the midst of yelling, I heard the wails of a child. After further inspection, I found a child in her house. There was no doubt in my mind. This was my child. It was a girl, and her name was Rae Ann Martin. We planned to be married, and for a couple of months, we acted like a family. One day, I returned home from my new day job as a Insurance Salesman to find her dead, and our child missing. Even death could not steal her beauty.
I’ve never stopped looking for Rae, now. Even now, fifteen years later.
I like it! t's interesting. You might wanna give a little more detail about how he fell in love with Daniella.
