Title: The Confrontation
Description: Kiley/Rogue

Melanie Hunter - October 18, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
*Ian had been a good boy and was only complaining about his poor treatment when Kiley and Rogue weren't around. He wasn't able to take it anymore, though. All of the condescending and baby voices had finally got to him, and he snapped. He was going to tell off whoever he found first, Kiley or Rogue, and make sure they knew that if something didn't change soon, he'd go back to Hogwarts. If he wasn't going to be included in the plans or even allowed to help with the plans (a lot of the adults suggested that he stay out of it), he wasn't going to deal with it. Kiley had said that he could help, but then it didn't happen, and it wasn't going to happen if he didn't speak up. He was walking around the house looking for one of the two girls so he could complain.*

rogue was coming down the steps from hers and kileys room. she was busy sorting things. going through books and such trying to read up on everything she could think of. just as she stepped off the last step here came ian and he looked fit to chew nails. rogue waved and gave him a soft smile.
"hey ian...."
she said. although they never really talked she found she liked him and his sometimes loud voice/mouth.
"something the matter?"

OOC:
lay into her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melanie Hunter - October 18, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
Ian:"Yeah, actually, a lot's the matter," *Ian started, sounding absolutely furious* "When I asked Kiley if I could join The Resistance, she said that I could be useful, but I'd have to work hard for respect. I've been working hard to get people to see past the fact that I'm 12 and look at everything I can do, but it just keeps getting worse. You aren't doing anything about it, either! I left Hogwarts for this, I abandoned my brother for this, and that's because I want to do something, I know there's something I can do, and I know that you and Kiley know it too. When it comes down to it, though, everyone ignores the fact that I exist. You make plans and don't even mention my name in them, not like I'd really know for sure, since no one lets me listen in on the meetings because they think I might get scared. Isn't part of what we stand for equality? How are you doing that if you aren't treating everyone in the group equally? No, I'm sick of it. I'm not going to let anyone do that any more. You're going to let me help out like everyone else."

*This was a brave step for the normally quiet and reserved Ian. He never truly stood up for himself, so this was a first. The fact that he was able to go out there and demand something so blatantly was deserving of respect in itself.*

rogues eyes grew round ad ian fumed and fussed and confessed what he was feeling. this was different from last time. he didn't yell. he did speak strongly and firmly. rogue blinked twice before answering him.
"you want respect ian. then you've got it."
she said with a lift of her shoulders.
"as far as doing something. i have no clue."
she muttered sitting down on the bottom step and propping her head up with her hand.
"you know what i've been doing? i've been reading up on everything and anything ian."
she looked at him with troubled eyes.
"yeah i have no clue what to do. i feel lost and alone and scared. on top of that all i don't hear anything about anything the family does. we need a spy or something."
rogue said. hoping he'd sit next to her. she felt bad for excluding him out of things but she never really knew him. now that he blew up on her she was more willing to talk to him like a grown human.

Melanie Hunter - October 18, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
*Ian was relieved that she didn't yell back at him or tell him that she wasn't going to let him do anything. It really made everything easier.*

Ian:"I can do that," *he said as he sat down next to her*"I know I can! I can go to the rallies, but in disguise. I can sneak through crowds, too, and if someone catches me, I'll be able to outrun them. All I need is for someone to teach me some advanced charms. I can, I'm smart. It'll just take some time." *he had about a hundred reasons that he should be a spy for them, and he wasn't going to stop handing them out until Rogue said yes.*"I know I can do this...."

"no you can't ian...you're young. they deal in dark magic."
rogue looked at him hard. she was amazed he wasn't scared out of his wits for voluntering to go spy.
"even though mels not here to protect you. that means kiley and i are. we can't have you running into something we're not even prepared for."
rogue argued back. she did see a bit of reasoning to his side. but she still couldn't let him go running off to spy.

Melanie Hunter - October 19, 2007 07:48 PM (GMT)
Ian: "It's not like I'd never come back. I'd just go to the rallies and find my way back here! I'm responsible and smart, I'm not like my brother. I'll be able to find out so much...who's there, what kind of people are already in the family, who says anything against them, what they're talking about, what they do...."

"and what am i supposed to tell kiley?"
rogue asked making a scene of her asking kiley if ian could spy.
"hey ki you know ian should become a spy for us..."
rogue said.
"i don't think so ian. then theres the chance of you being caught. if they don't kill you right off they'll torture you to death for information."
she said with seriousness.
"even if kiley said yes. i wouldn't let you go alone."

Melanie Hunter - October 19, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
Ian:"You let everyone else go out alone and risk their lives because they're willing to. I am, too, so why can't I?" *he protested. He really didn't care what Kiley said, he was going to do it. Now that he had the idea, he wasn't going to give up on it.*"You'll tell her the plan, and if she says no, I'll talk to her."

"oh no you don't pal."
rogue said standing up and latching onto his sleeve.
"you're the one who thought of it and you'll tell her. i'll be there and all in case kiley gets.....mad."
rogue told him thinking if kiley said yes it would be a miracle..

Melanie Hunter - October 19, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
Ian:"Fine, but if she gets mad, I'll do it anyway. I came here to help, not to sit around and be told that I can't do something because I'll get hurt." *Ian stood up and tried to think of where Kiley would be right now so he could talk to her*"You act like I've never been hurt before."

rogue shook her head.
"fine but you know i won't let you go alone."
she looked him in the eye.
"even if she agrees to this crazy idea."

Melanie Hunter - October 19, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
Ian:"Why not, Rogue? Why can't this just be my thing?"

*He knew what she'd say: That it was too dangerous, it was too likely that he would get hurt, and because she just wanted him to have someone supervising him. He was trying as hard as he could not to yell again, because he honestly hated doing it.*

rogue shrugged her shoulders.
"because people care about you, because it's dangerous, because we're a team and we have to stick together. it's not about who gets more action. it's about putting our heads together and working to over come those simple minded scums."
rogue offered up to him. she didn't know why but part of her was saying this as a show of her feelings. on top of it. she was dying to get out and have a look see herself.
"lets go find kiley. i think she might be cleaning out some more rooms upstairs."
