Title: R.ecruiting
Description: Craven, Fawne and Flame
Flame Lestrange - October 20, 2007 11:27 AM (GMT)
The girl walked the corridors alone, her black hair draped across her right shoulder and grey eyes shining cold as always. She was a proud girl and that was very obvious if you saw her. The orange sash of the family was draped across her shoulder casually making her stand out from the crowd of plain black-robed students which surrounded her. She was walking slowly, taking in everything around her- unusual for someone who usually didn't care what happened to anyone or anything.
Soon the crowd had ebbed to a few students who ran down the corridors doing whatever they needed to, but Flame had nothing to do and nowhere to go. She had no fears, she ruled the school in her own mind. She paused, staring at a picture of a young girl on the wall.
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 12:19 PM (GMT)
Calm footsteps echoed down the corridor as people dashed about aimlessly trying to reach their lessons; However this tall pale slytherin boy, who seemed to be very skilled at expressing the infamous slytherin coldness, really didn't care much for lessons. Besides he had a aim to accomplish and he needed to find a member of the Family to do so.
Craven was lazily blinking his mismatched eyes from under his unkempt mass of black hair. He paused briefly as he eyes skittered over something orange but it turned out just to be some first years bag. He would had outwardly sighed if it wouldn't ruin his reputation, just as he was about to give up all hope he caught another orange glimpse and this time it was the Family's sash. He smirked openly when he realised that it was a fellow Slytherin whom the sash was attached to.
He quickly continued his walk and altered his path towards the girl. His footsteps slowing to a halt when he was merely inches away, He tapped her lightly on the sashed shoulder before flipping some hair from his mismatched eyes with the same hand and placing a slazer worthy grin on his face.
"Hey there Slytherin Miss. I was wondering where i could get one of those. Don't suppose you'd be inclined to show me? Or tell me what the whole things about. I'm not picky but I'd like the female company." He grinned a little more as his deep yet cheeky voice echoed in the now empty corridor.
Flame Lestrange - October 20, 2007 12:27 PM (GMT)
A tap on the shoulder was all that was needed to make her turn and stare at the person who had interupted her coldly, her grey eyes piercing and then she shook her head. "I know you." was the simple statement that left her mouth, dark tones showing no emotion at all but a sparkle of recognition in the cold pits of steel which were her eyes. She ran a thin, pale hand through her black hair and rolled her eyes at his words- typical male.
"This 'Slytherin miss' would be Flame Lestrange- use the name and don't forget it." she was intent on making it known that she would not be pushed around- being pushed around was not her style. "And I can't just show anyone where to get the sash of the family. They have to agree to follow the cause first."
A smirk crossed her fine features. "And I'll have to think you're worthy. Some people may take just anybody but me? I have standards." She turned and walked a few paces away from him before turning around once again to face him. "But you're Slytherin- it shouldn't be too hard for you." She flashed him a single wink before falling to silence, watching him intently.
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 12:54 PM (GMT)
His eyes flashed with some form of emotion when the girl said she knew him. Usually that wasn't a good thing; especially when accompanied with that cold look she was sending his way. He just hoped she wasn't one of the slyterins he stepped over before. He needed away into the family. He didn't visibly scowl when she said he had to be worthy, after all don't show anyone weakness, but inwardly he was. He merely just shrugged his shoulders and smirked a little more. Still executing this lazy cold personality he seemed to bathe in.
"Most people know me, the names Blackwood. Craven Blackwood, but you have to worthy to call me Craven."
The cheeky note lessened from his voice since he realised this girl would not be swayed by Blackwood charm. The cheeky note had also been replaced with a slightly playful sarcastic one. However this change didn't stop him from winking his dark hazel left eye whilst living his vivid green one open to observe. He removed his hand from his right pocket, where it had been grasping his dark wood wand out of habit, and extended it his hand towards Flame in greeting.
"Like i was saying Lestrange. Care to tell me about the cause? I do have a fair idea by my own research. However its often better to hear something first hand." He grinned. "And as for being worthy, i guess we'll just leave that for you to find out."
Flame Lestrange - October 20, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
Flame frowned as she thought... who was this Blackwood- she knew him from somewhere. Then it clicked- she knew exactly who he was. "I met you at a ball of some kind." she stated simply. She let her eyes slide over him and shook her head. "You don't change much, do you?" she questioned. She herself had changed dramatically since she'd last seen him. "And you deemed me worthy to call you Craven last time I met you."
Her mind danced around various ideas as he placed his hand into his pocket but soon was brought bck to one point as he shoved his wand at her. Head turned to glance around the corridor, checking it was still empty.
Flame shook his hand calmly, unused to civilised greeting but knowing how it went. She then withdrew her hand.
She paused for a second before deciding to give him the basics. "The family is against a whole manner of beasts- werewolves, vampires, centaurs. They are lesser beings and, should they want to live, we believe they should serve us greater beings. Thy should bend to our will. We are also against squibs- they are filthy creatures."
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
Craven racked his memory, for any remembrance of Flame. That's when her finally began to remember the ball it was a while back of course. He grinned as if smiling at an old friend, after all they had a bit of past now. He didn't quite like the way she said he hadn't changed; he was nearly a whole foot taller and his hair was completely different. He supposed the different coloured eyes gave him away.
He almost wanted to laugh when she seemed suspicious of his offered hand, after all a handshakes was a common greeting. Its not like he was going to point his wand at her and say 'hand over the sash'...No, craven was far to slytherin for that.
He listened carefully to her speech about the family and still grinning he nodded his head at her little explanation before he finally interrupted with his own speech instead of just standing there.
"First off i do believe it was the christmas ball and if my memory serves me right i do think i interrupted your date, not that you seemed to mind. Since we got off to that much of a brilliant start you're welcome to call me Craven, Flame." Now he remembered Flame his voice was back to its usually deep tone and he was quite happy to call her by her first name.
"Second off i don't suppose knowing me makes me worthy? After all I'm not one for silly tasks and trails. And Thirdly m'dear Flame what's the family really about and I'm not talking about this cause nonsense every one's spouting off this I've already heard." He paused on purpose as if thinking of something deadly important before smirking. "Bet there's not a lot of Hufflepuffs in the family if there no squibs..."
Flame Lestrange - October 20, 2007 01:43 PM (GMT)
Flame watched him carefully, suspicious of him. It wasn't just him she was suspicious of though, she was suspicious of the world. Ever since she'd spent that blasted summer with her mother she had found it hard to trust anyone. Except Grand- he had managed to gain her trust the second she saw him.
"Yes, it was the christmas ball and yes, you did interupt a date. But that's all over. I haven't seen him for a long time. He's not worthy of my attention, anyway. He never understood me." she spat the words which reffered to Scythe like poision, he had hurt her and it was unlikely she would forgive him.
She glared at him. "What do you mean the 'real' cause? That is the cause. We hate werewolves and vmpires- we think they should be banned from any sorts of magic. Centaurs are but horses on which we may ride- but why do you ask for the real cause? You know the real cause."
She paused, glaring around. "No, there aren't many hufflepuff's in there and I guess I can show you the way to get a sash."
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 02:04 PM (GMT)
Craven would have flinched on this guy Scythes behalf if he didn't think it would earn him a well placed spell or two. Instead he just shrugged his shoulders in a uncaring manor before speaking in a slightly more friendly tone than that of before.
"Obviously the guys a bit dense in the head then. You got a back bone that makes you worth ten of most other Slytherin Misses." That was about as close to a compliment you'd ever get off Craven but the thought was there.
He shot flame a slight glare himself when he was on the receiving end of hers, of course just because he appeared cold to the world it didn't stop him slightly glaring.
"Don't ever play stupid it doesn't do much for you Flame. And you know damn well that's not what i was asking." His voice had dropped a few octaves and he even seemed a little colder, her took a few steps forwards and placed a hand on the edge of her sash.
"I meant what do the family to to implement this cause, because i don't think picket lines are quite your think." He released the sash and dropped his hand to the side. "Oh and I would be quite obliged if you could show me where to get one of those."
Flame Lestrange - October 20, 2007 02:18 PM (GMT)
She shrugged at what, she assumed, was Craven's shot at a compliment. "He had no backbone and it grew tiring. Towards the end of our relationship all he would do was preach about how what the death eaters were doing was wrong- a point we diagreed on more than any other." she glanced around. "As for me being worth ten other slytherin girls you seem to be the only one who thinks so."
He spoke again and she shrugged. "I guess you're right. But acting stupid is sometimes useful, if people fall for it." It was her thought on the matter and she believed it was important he knew that.
"We have a bracelet, if you will, that makes the beasts unable to use magic, which makes them less dangerous. We make our views well known by travelling the world and making announcements and we will, eventually, round each and every beast up and give them the choice- obey us or die."
She stopped. "I will show you in my own time."
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
At the mention of the Family's methods Craven visibly grinned. Her seemed satasfied he got the answer he wanted, it seemed the family was looking like a good place to be right now. "Now that's what i was asking about. After all i was never one for picket lines myself..."
He placed his hands back in his pockets, out of habit more than anything else, before staring straight into Flame's eyes. He wasn't in the mood for waiting he'd been running around like and idiot trying to find the way into this Family, and it hadn't been made easy. Since the school joined the cause wouldn't it make most sense to have a 'join up here' point? Ugh fools.
"Look Flame, i know your time is important but i hate to be kept waiting, and since i don't see too many of those sashes around i can't see what the waits for. You know I'm worthy, I'm a fellow Slytherin after all."
Craven smirked in what he hoped was a convincing manor, and still didn't lower his gaze, after all you have to show a bit of back bone now and again.
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 20, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
Although the corridor seemed pretty deserted there was another girl who seemed to be in no rush towards her lesson. Though with a perfectly reasonable explanation this time; she was just freshly recovering from a bout of flu or so was her excuse. Her brown loose curls were bouncing around as she lightly stepped down the corridor with no particular aim. The pace making her emerald Thestral pendant that hung around her middle bounce also.
Today its chain was extra long and made of silver ribbon with odd green and silver beads tied along its length. Although this matched with the grey of her pleated school skirt and white of her tights it clashed horribly with the red on her Gryffindor tie which was hung loosely around the neck of a white short sleeved blouse. She obviously wasn't too keen on the school dress code since she seemed to have ditched the heavy robe and adorned her feet with emerald green mary janes.
Her wand was hug carelessly in the belt loops of her skirt and she appeared to be plaiting more silver and green beads in her hair as she walked. Her silver eyes never straying form there unfocused path in front of her. A wistful smile was placed on her lips as it permanently seemed to be and she took no notice of the pair of glaring Slytherins she had just wandered past.
OOC: sorry couldn't think of anything else to pad this post out.
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)
Although still attempting to hold out on the non official staring contest he seemed to be holding with flame his attention was easily switched else where as he ears heard the soft clinking sound only made by many beads. And he only knew one girl who owned enough beads to make the noise that loud.
He blinked and looked away from Flame's eyes, without suggesting he had given up, he merely looked bored. Instead his green and hazel eyes set about looking down the length of the corridor where he spotted the tell tale pendant and Gryffindor tie. He openly grinned as he realised it was indeed Fawne. However when the distracted girl walked straight past him he couldn't resist a scowl.
"Hello, Hogwarts to Miss Blackwood. Nice to see you too."
His voice seemed to play on a mock hurt tone, almost as if this happened often. Which considering Fawne was likely. Her crossed his arms in a fake pout and seemed to pay extra attention to expressing his cold outward appearance.
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 20, 2007 10:58 PM (GMT)
Upon hearing the word Blackwood Fawne seemed to stop dead a few steps away from the pair. She blinked once and dropped her hands from the current bead it was plaiting into her hair before she float-ally turned on the spot and faced the dark haired Slytherin girl and boy.
Her wistful smile stayed set in place but her eyes seemed a little less glassy and full of unexpected friendly recognition. After all Gryffindor and Slytherin don't have the best track records. Fawne nodded once as if in reply to the boy's comment before she took a few more light steps towards him and wrapped her lithe arms around his frame in a sisterly hug.
Her melodic voice floated into the air, though slightly muffled by the hug. "Oh hello Craven, i do hope your well..."
She released Craven from the hug and step softly back onto her tip toes and remained standing on them for a few seconds before she seemed to realise that there was another person there. To which she turned slightly towards and promptly extended her pale hand towards her in greeting. Which had butterflies painted on the tips of the nails.
"I do believe i forgot to say hello...How rude of me...I'm Fawne Sugarmoon."
Craven Blackwood - October 20, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
OOC: Got Fawne all introduced now. Its rather boring RP-ing with yourself though lol.
Craven smiled, an actual smile as the girl lightly stepped towards him. Even though in theory the situation would have usually been rather flirtatious there was obviously some family bond with the pair. As she reached around his tall frame, she was barely hugging his middle, he reached around hers and returned the hug before letting her step away. She was the only Gryffindor he allowed any where near himself and mostly everyone knew why so it didn't tarnish his reputation any.
His Slytherin grin returned to his face as he watched his little step sister, although not related by blood at all and only little by a few months, introduce her self to Flame. It was then he realised what the situation must look like to the other Slytherin and he quickly set about rectifying any ideas she might of had about. Besides as he wanted to join the Family, he might as well keep it in the family and bring his sister along. His voice had taken its usual sarcastic drawl as he spoke. Her also refused to call Fawne a Sugarmoon after all his Dad married her mother so in all technicality her family was now Blackwood. No matter how much Fawne hated his father.
"Flame meet Fawne Blackwood; my little sister. Shes a pure blood of course; though we share no direct bloodline. Not to worry she is also the only Lion i let anywhere near me, can't stand the rest of them. I still don't know how she ended up in that excuse for a house, she was always more Slytherin at home..."
He paused as if assessing whether or not his next sentences were going to cause and uproar in Flame and a polite yet firm refusal from Fawne. He decided that obviously it was worth pushing his luck for, since after all Fawne had expressed earlier that although radical the family had some firm ideas in protecting Wizarding family's from volatile creatures.
"She too is worthy of the cause, a very clever witch after all i did teach her." At this he arrogantly grinned "Fawne has expressed her support in protecting wizards from volatile attacks, it cost her, her father after-all. She would support the cause willingly, as long as her Thestrals remained unharmed..." He smirked at the Thestral comment knowing that Fawne was easily swayed anyway and would likely join the family if he just asked. He shot Flame a look that seemed to say 'I am not just offering my alliance i am offering my family's.' and it was quite clear that Fawne was not objecting.
Flame Lestrange - October 21, 2007 10:14 AM (GMT)
Flame stared at the boy and shook her head, cold snicker escaping her lips. "I will not be rushed, boy. I said in my own time and I meant it- though it should not be long anyway." Her grey eyes sparkled mischeaviously and she was going to walk away, leave him on that note when a sound dropped on her ears, making her look int he direction of it's origin.
On seeing the girl Flame laughed heatlessly. How odd this girl did look- terrible indeed. She could have, at least, chosen an outfit that matched the tie of her enemy. Flame was on the verge of saying something to the girl when she saw recognition in Craven's mis-matched eyes.
"Know her?" she asked, staring with distaste at the Gryffindor. Flame laughed visciously at Craven's first words to the Gryffindor then stopped suddenly. "Blackwood? She's related to you?" she asked in disgust, but soon things straightened themselves out.
The girl introduced herself, after hugging Craven, and extended her hand. "Hello." Flame said, not offering her own hand this time. Associating with Gryffindors was not her style- unless it was dueling or being incredibly cruel- maybe even reaching the extremes of unforgivable curses one day.
"Nice." She replied coldly, moving towards him and running a single finger down his cheek. "Why didn't you tell me this, Craven. Why- it almost looked like you fancy her. You even smiled." He spoke of the lion being worthy of the cause and Flame looked at her critically, moving from Craven's side to circle Fawne
"She might come of use, I guess." She paused. "But she's a lion, and I'm not too fond of them. Still, if she's related to you, even through marriage, she can come." she stopped. "When I feel like taking you."
It was quite obvious that Flame was not going to be swayed on that topic- she'd do everything in her own time. "I'll take you through some things before we get there."
A pause of a second was placed, before Flame carried on her speech. "First of all when the Grand, our father, accepts you, if he accepts you, he will hand you an orange sash. In the presense of Grand you are to be polite- if there are any disagreements we fight them out. You may be given a task straight away, or you may be left taskless- it depends if there is anything that needs doing." she looked between the two. "Are we understood?"
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 22, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
Fawne didn't seem phased by Flame's reluctance to shake her hand and she merely withdrew it as she tilted her head and listened to Craven's speach. She didn't interrupt though she did have her fair amount to input. She knew after all her older brother was attempting to look out for her better interests and although Fawne lost her father to an attack she wasn't sure what attacked him. But she supposed since the school was in on the cause it couldn't be that bad. What a few protests and things; its not like its war.
She watched with a glossy look as Flame invaded Craven's personal space, unlike most girls who would be outraged at a comment about flirting with your brother Fawne just simply let the words wash over. her eyes though still staring into nothingness seemed to follow the progress of Flame as she circled Fawne like a piece of meat.
She noticed the disgusted look Flame shoot at her clothes and Fawne just continued to wistfully smile. She removed her wand from her skirts belt loops and waved it carefully around herself muttering 'Finite Incantatem' since she had transfigured the colours of the beads anyway they all quickly reverted to a shade of silver similar to her eyes even the shoes turned the same shade. Only the Thestral pendant remained emerald green. Her eyes took on a certain clarity as she shot Flame an unreadable but not malice filled look before decidedly glossing over again as she replaced her wand.
Once Flame seemed satisfied and walked away from Fawne to talk abut the Grand she finally felt the need to speak. Her Melodic voice filled the hallway.
"You were flirting with my brother."
She stated it rather bluntly and seemingly off topic considering Flame had been giving them instructions on behaviour.
"I would like to request for myself to as whether i can join the family. On the thoughts that many I've observed agree with the cause and i believe it would be delightful to help stop the attacks on wizarding families."
She paused to blink before speaking once more.
"Oh and yes." She was referring to the Are we understood comment.
Craven Blackwood - October 22, 2007 10:30 PM (GMT)
Craven smirked when she ran a finger down his cheek. Ever the charmer eh? However he soon lost his cockiness as she circled his sister he hit a moral dilemma. If Flame attacked his sister he would of course defend her, although Fawne was capable of defending herself, but that meant his chances of getting into the family would be very slim.
He almost visibly sighed with relief when Fawne seemed to take no notice of Flame's predatory actions and instead untransfigured her beads as if she was in a world of her own. Well with Fawne being the kind of girl she is Craven wouldn't be to surprised if she was.
As much as he loved his little sister his attention switched to the new, and obtainable, female in his life. As he watched Flame walk Fawne's words just washed over him, though he did give a deep chuckle at her flirting comment. That was Fawne's way she didn't insult back you she just stated a truth. He decided it was time to intervene before his sister said something that he wouldn't be able to recover from. His deep sarcastic drawl seemed to die in the air rather than echo.
"Crystally So Miss Lestrange..."He grinned at nodded his head towards his sister before continuing "That was her way of asking to join the Family you know, oh and i think she was agreeing to your terms too, you never really can tell... So now you have recruited two willing new members who have both spoken for themselves. So you will take us to the Grand, in due time bonny lady?"
He grinned and stepped forward towards Flame extended his hand, but this time as more of a deal sealer than a greeting. "You know you could make two new friends here...You'll like her once you get past the dreamy facade. What do you say, comrades?"
Flame Lestrange - October 23, 2007 12:12 PM (GMT)
Flame was still looking critically at the girls outfit; wandering how she could stand looking so odd. It bugged Flame just to see her like that, she looked foul and Flame despised it. On her circling, however, the girl seemed to realise exactly what it was Flame was giving her cold looks for. Once the beads had been stransfigured she calmed down a little, though she still felt odd.
It might have been something to do with her whole 'Eww... Gryfindors...' thing. It wasn't like her to associate with them- she generally did not get on with them. Flame was every so slightly biased against them considering her background. She was branded, a Slytherin, and had been brought up to hate Gryfindors.
Grey eyes turned from the Gryffindor- she was much more interested in the Slytherin boy, even if he was related to this... wierdo. Plus, he seemed to like the attention. The smirk which crossed his face was enough to give that away. He was happy to have the attention and she, attracted to pureblood slytherins, was more than happy to give it in whatever quantity he wanted.
Flame began to wander if the reason Craven was so interested in her was because of the way she was dressed. Her black hair fell again her pale skin, causing a clash. She wore bright red lipstick across her thin lips, deep purple eye shadow, black mascara and black eyeliner. The mascara had run and so there was a black line running from the corner of her right eye which ran in a wavy line down her fine features.
The dress she wore was also black, and rather skimpy, only coming halfway down her thigh, was sleeveless and was held up by two straps which went across her shoulders and knotted behind her neck.
Fawne spoke and Flame rolled her eyes. "Yes--- I- was- flirting- with- your- brother. What does it concern you?" she asked coldly, turning back to Craven to land a soft kiss on his cheek. More words came from Fawne and she looked confused, until Craven translated for her.
"Oh, ok then." she seemed to be unconcerned. "And yes, I will take you. Eventually." She shook Craven's hand and nodded. "Comrades."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 23, 2007 12:52 PM (GMT)
Fawne looked down at her own clothes and then at Flames. She suddenly seemed to realise that if anyone should be shooting disgusted looks at ones clothes Fawne should be shooting looks at Flame. At least Fawne's clothes were more conservative, sure her skirt was a few inches short of her knees but she was wearing thick white tights, and her blouse was a little tight but it was styled to be fitted at least everything was bloody covered. This girl might as well have been naked. However Fawne being Fawne just continued to stare blankly at Flame and noticed their similar shade of eye colour.
However when Flame spoke to her like she was stupid Fawne allowed puzzlement to show in her gaze. She placed her hand on her left hip, riding exposing a little of the grey ivy tattoo she had recently required, and titled her head to the side. Allowing her hair to tumble across her shoulders. However the look in her eyes didn't leak into her still sing-songy voice.
"You just recounted what i said... Be it concerns me not, i was merely observing your disposition."
She took a step towards Flame and dropped both her hands to her sides. She actually looked at the girl rather than through her before she allowed her eyes to take on their infamous unfocused look.
"We share similar eyes colours though yours is dimmer..." She tilted her head to the side whilst she spoke, like an bird. "I think we began inncorrectly, i would to rectify this.."
Craven Blackwood - October 23, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
Craven was starting to get the impression he would need ring side seats for a duel at this rate. Fawne was never openly malicious but Flame was quite obviously so. And half naked to boot. However if she'd have been wearing her school uniform he still would have spoken to her; after all he wanted in the family he wasn't really looking for a flirting session.
Craven didn't even seem to flinch or brush and she landed a kiss on his cheek. Most normal slytherins would have made a lewd comment or at least shown some sign of being affected but he just nodded his head at Flame and shook her hand politely. His slytherin smirk was plastered onto his face and his tone had yet to change though it seemed slightly more accommodating.
"Comrades it is. Though i do expect my comrades to wear a little more, as nice as the view is i don't need everybody noticing us. Can't be sly slytherins with all the attention can we?" He just finished his sentence as Fawne began to talk. He almost open his jaw in shock as she suggested a second start. That was the first time in history that he had ever heard Fawne change her mind on something. He glanced at her and realised her attitude had not changed, obviously she had seen something in Flame she wished to befriend of use. After all he did say she was more slytherin at home...
Flame Lestrange - October 23, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
It was obvious that her and Fawne did not get along at that moment in time from the vividly cold and piercing look Flame was sending in her direction. It was as if there was poison in her eyes- less of a glare than a death wish. Flame was tempted to take the girl for a little 'walk' to her own, personal torture chamber which had once, of course, been that of the ex-defence against the dark arts teacher, Coldstone Harshing. Indeed, if it had not been for Craven, she would have. But of course, she did not know that only two people were known to be able to find it- her and Harshing, and she wasn't going to give it away to some guy she had only just met.
She licked her lips in a vicious hunger to torture, for it was only in her blood to be so and she could not help herself. She could... just once... Flame shook her head- there was no chance. Indeed, it much have looked off to see this without hearing the pattern of thoughts which had gone through her mind and so, she realised, Craven would probably find it off-putting, but she was not going to explain. Not to him, not to anyone.
She brushed the thread of dark hair which had fell across her face behind her ear before her mind returned back to Earth just as Craven said 'as nice as the view is...'. Flame looked disgusted. "What did you just say?" she asked harshly, eyes burning with cold fury, for she had not heard the whole sentence.
Fawne spoke and Fame looked down on her. "You want to rectify, hey? How do you plan on doing that?"
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 23, 2007 01:57 PM (GMT)
Fawne was currently doing quite well in ignoring her brothers comments and Flame's coldness. She even offered Flame a second chance which was rare since Fawne usually let things go the way they go. Her aura seemed a little strained though she still appeared outwardly indifferent. This was why she was a Gryffindor, because Slytherin tested her and she didn't have the wits of Rowena nor the friends of Helga.
Her eyes seem to spring into focus when Flame snapped at her brother. It seemed as if Flame was having some sort of mental breakdown, she was shaking her head at herself and snapped at her brother who she was previous flirting with. What an odd one that girl was.
However it seemed that Flame suggesting Fawne was the one who had to correct the situation was enough to cause her eyes to stay in focus. Although not that much of a change it seemed to make her Appear slightly more 'with it'. Her voice however still retained its melodic tones with no change.
"I intend to rectify nothing its you who has be-" Fawne sentence seemed to be slightly hampered by her brothers hand which was now placed firmly across her mouth...
Craven Blackwood - October 23, 2007 02:05 PM (GMT)
Although Craven would protect his sister he also liked to protect his own causes. And he knew that the way the situation was going was not going to achieve either. And so he put a abrupt stop to the issue. And clamped a nimble hand over his sisters pale mouth. As he did so he noticed her eyes snap back to unfocused and she didn't at all seemed bothered by his actions. He almost smiled; that was Fawne for you.
Upon this little reflection he had time to realise that Flame had snapped at him seconds before. Obviously she hadn't heard the whole thing since it was actually a compliment. He shot her a charming smile and placed his other hand on her arm. His voice had taken on a softer quality like he was trying to calm two fighting animals.
"Chill Miss Lestrange. I was giving you a compliment, nothing major... And Fawne here is only trying to be nice, she seemed to think you two needed a second chance and this whole comrade thing..."
He was trying to play peacemaker by not suggesting either girl was at fault.
"I don't think either of you two lovely ladies need to rectify a thing, but it wouldn't hurt for you both be a little more accommodating towards each other? For me?"
Flame Lestrange - October 27, 2007 12:48 PM (GMT)
Flame stared between the siblings and sighed. She should have expected it, of course they were going to be on the side of one another. Eyes rolled and she looked ruefully at the pair.
"Oh, thankyou, Craven." she said calmly, turning to Fawne, who had just began to speak.
"Of course it isn't me who needs to rectify." she told the girl, predicting her next words and she was close to cursing her when Craven once again chipped in.
"I'll try, if she does." she growled, growing bored.

Fawne's hand reached up and pried her brother's from her mouth. She really hoped he washed his hands often. She looked directly into Flames eyes rather than 'through' them. And she smiled, fair enough it was only slightly more of a smile than her usual wistful one but a smile none the less. Her eyes had misted back over
"Than i shall try also..."
She was unsure whether or not Flame would shake her hand if she extended it forward and so she didn't bother. But Fawne if anything now seemed back to normal. Like she had been at the start of the encounter.

Craven had been mildly tempted to silence his sister with a spell and agree for her, but he was more than surprised when she pried his hand away from her mouth and agreed. He was already surprised by Flame who had agreed to his proposal also. He smiled at both the girls in turn, Flame first then Fawne.
"See that wasn't so hard."
He paused as if in thought, before turning to look at Flame also.
"So will you still take us to the Family?"
