Title: I know I said I wouldn't come; but here I am
Description: Flame's detention

Flame Lestrange - October 26, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
Usually Flame was not one to go back on her word- when she said she wouldn't do soemthing, she meant it. However, she had decided turning up would just be a way to see if Scone could stick to his threats. Plus, even if he didn't, she had found a sort of game in annoying the potions master.

She hadn't bothered coming in robes, as would be expected, but instead wore a red dress which was about two-inches above her knee in length and was, pretty much, backless. The intricate pattern Flame was so proud of was definitely on show- purposefully of couse.

Black hair fell down her back in soft waves and grey eyes shone with their usually cold hatred. She walked into the room with no warning and took a seat.

Milo Scone - October 26, 2007 12:41 PM (GMT)
"Flame," he nodded from his desk. "Now, you know why you are here - or perhaps you don't..." he mused for a second then looked at her once more. "Either way I hope I can teach you a thing or two about manners and respect - two very important principles in life."

He took a piece of chalk and began to write on the board:

Respect - Society in a Nutshell

He smiled.

Flame Lestrange - October 26, 2007 12:51 PM (GMT)
Everything about Flame spoke volumes against his message. She commanded respect, giving it only to a few people- she was respected, not expected to respect in return. She knew manners, but only used them for people she believed deserved them and Scone certainly wasn't one of those.

"Oh, I know why I'm here. Not that I'm going to stop, Scone." she laughed outwardly. "And you'll be lucky if you can get me to listen to the tiniest part of what you're about to say."

Flame sat back and relaxed, sending a sarcastic smile in return to Scone's own.

Milo Scone - October 26, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
"Flame, I am at a loss to understand why you are so problematic. Why you are so arrogant, why you flaunt your body. Perhaps it is that orange sash - perhaps it is your power in the Family that makes you so, that makes you feel that you are.... invincible?"

His eyes rested on her, clearly with Sentinus in charge she was not going to be frightened of a simple detention. He abandoned the board and sat. This would be a chat. A severe chat.

Flame Lestrange - October 26, 2007 01:04 PM (GMT)
Flame stared at him- had Harshing told him that she had once been the most obedient student that had walked the school, or had he figured it out himself? Either way, she wasn't happy with the direction this was going- detentions she could cope with but discussions? They weren't her.

"I'm not invincible and I know it, Scone. I decided long ago that, with Harshing gone, I'd enjoy my life and this is how I do it. I feel more free with less clothes on- not so restricted. Classes restrict me, people like you restrict me- I just rebel against them."

Grand Sentinus - October 26, 2007 01:06 PM (GMT)
"Is that what He says... The Sentinus? Is that what he has brainwashed you with?" His voice rose but he calmed himself again. "I do not want to restrict you, I simply wand to indoctrinate you into respected teachers and your fellow student." He could see clearly that Flame felt above such things.

Flame Lestrange - October 26, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
Flame gave him a single, cold look and turned away. She hated eye contact with people, it wasn't her way. "No. It isn't what he says. It's how I feel. It's how I feel deep down, how I have felt for a long time. Harshing restricted me- I hated him for that. I just decided that all teachers would turn out like that. I don't trust them, especially not if they call harshing a friend like you did."

Grand Sentinus - October 26, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
"Yet the Grand restricts you... doesn't he?" Milo was sincerely trying to understand the Family - he didn't blindly oppose it like many others. He admits that there were good points to the Grand's work. Freedom of expression was one of them - to be naked in front of many was a taboo imposed by society. The Grand wanted to end that.

Flame Lestrange - October 26, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
Flame shook her head. "No. I am free. I do what I want, I have a choice. If I felt restricted I would not be there. I would never have been there. My actions are my choice, my words are my choice. I just fit in with it all- like he understands me. Making him the only one that ever did." she sighed. "Well, yes. He does in ways, I guess. But only so I don't do stupid things like kill the filthy vampire."

Milo Scone - October 27, 2007 09:14 AM (GMT)
He took a drink and sipped it yet held its heat in his hands. Looking through the steam he winked then glugged somemore of the hot toddy. After a short cough he began his parry:

"It seems to me Flame that you have gone with the winning side yet again. You do not care about the morals involved at all - you chose the Family because of power."

Pause.

"Id like to play a game for a second. Imagine you were bitten tomorrow by a vampire. You were then imprisoned and tortured for that very reason that wasnt even your fault. How would you feel?"

Flame Lestrange - October 27, 2007 12:29 PM (GMT)
Flame turned to look at him again, a frown adorning her pale features. She didn't like Scone, hated this discussion, and felt trapped by the detention. She was uncomfortable with the whole situation and he wasn't making it easy for her.

"You're wrong." she told him bluntly. "You have never been more wrong in your entire life." she once again turned her back on him. "I joined the family because they are right. I believe what they do. There was a time I only went for power, but those days are long gone. I am a new person, ask your 'friend' that used to be my head of house."

The pause was straining, Flame just wanted to up and out the room but she remained inside. All this was valuable information to be handed on to the Grand, and information was always gladly accepted.

"I don't play games." It was the truth, she tended to avoid games- took a more serious view on life. Games were played by timewasters and she had no time to waste.

Then again, if Flame played this right, he might think she wanted to be on their side and show her the way to the resistance headquaters. But she wouldn't change her mind yet, she'd have to make him feel he'd had to prize her true feelings from her.

Milo Scone - October 27, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
"You don't play games because you fear your own answer. Lets forget the game then. How would you feel if you were imprisoned and tortured because of being brutally attacked?"

He stood, his wand twiddling in the air.

Flame Lestrange - October 28, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
Flame shrugged and stared at the ground. Grey eyes were shining and she showed all signs of giving an answer, though none came. Instead she just sat there, ignoring the question. If he was going to ask her such questions she wasn't going to answer.

Milo Scone - October 28, 2007 03:00 PM (GMT)
Milo smiled, it wasn't often he did and it told. His skin seemed to crease and rip like an unoiled engine. He had won, he had implanted a single thought inside her head and he would watch it blossom into a tree of anxiety. She had no answer to his question which meant she was afraid or simply did not want to admit she was wrong.

"Tea?" he asked in a jovial tone, pouring himself some from a pot.

Flame Lestrange - October 30, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
Flame didn't even look at him. Indeed, it seemed she was sulking. But who could blame her? She wasn't used to being questioned and he hadn't exactly been soft on her. He'd dropped her, and he'd dropped her hard. She was spoilt, used to getting her own way- but not here. This proffessor wasn't going to play her games- it was his game, by his ruled.

"I don't drink tea." her voice sounded hurt, but there were more reasons for her refusing to drink the tea than her not liking it- he was a potions master and she didn't trust him- he could turn veterserum(sp?) on her.

Milo Scone - October 30, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
He poured himself a cup and drank, it was about the fifth drink he had consumed since the meeting. He loved fluids, warm, cold, it seemed natural to have them in your mouth. Maybe thats why he liked potions so much. He would make a note to tell Harshing everything about the little sh*t he once controlled.

"You haven't given me an answer. I can assume that I've won our little debate. You are with the Family because of power. you havent given a second damn thought to the people you kill without reason."

He turned round and magicked his teeth to grow like a vampires. he swiveled quickly and roared at her - his eyes turned red with magic to imitate a Vampire. He laughed as the traits disappeared. "Goodbye Flame, think about what I've said."

Flame Lestrange - October 30, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
She stared at him and laughed. If Sentinus saw him do that he'd be gone from the school quicker than you could say 'sorry' or 'it was a joke'. Stupid man. Did he want to be sacked. Flame stood up and walked from the room, their discussion had no effect on her really- she was still family; loyal and true.
