Title: Prisioner
Description: anyone
Dorien Hurt - October 27, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
*Dorien sat on the ground in his cell. The large room offered no comforts. He didn't mind much. All that he minded was that he was starving. Dorien closed his eyes and let his head fall back against the concrete. The hunger was so intence, so all emcompassing that he could hardly think of much else. It frightened him to be this hungry. He knew that he was weakening from not eating, and that scared him as well. It wasn't safe to be so weak in the situation he was in. Dorien half heartedly willed rats to find him. All vampires could call small rodents to them when desperate measures were called for, but there would be no way for them to find him, so he gave up.*

OOC: is it a cell with bars or just a large room? I'm gonna go for bars but let me know if that's wrong...
IC:
Fawne had been at the house again, this time she was merely wandering about its levels. Eventually she had ended up near the prisoners. She was unsure whether she was allowed to be here but she was a firm beliver of letting things run their course. And so she was wandering by the cells with the normal misty look in her eyes and her left hand tracing across the bars.
She stopped at the only occupied cell and removed her hand sharply as if burnt. So this was the vampire, prisoner number 1, she had heard everyone talk about. She turned to face the cell fully and regardless of the vampire being a prisoner she still spoke politely and melodically.
"Hello there, your the vampire i assume. I'm Fawne..." She paused what are you meant to say to a captive? Of course she would ask why.
"Something has been bothering me about your story. You are one of the resistance and yet you killed a young boy, one of us. Your side is meant to be opposing our 'evil' and yet you are the murderer. And stranger still there is no blood on my hands and yet i a member of the said 'evil'... Can you understand why this bothers me so? Logic seems to be failing and i wish to know why."
Dorien Hurt - October 27, 2007 11:57 PM (GMT)
ooc: I was going for a large room, but there could be bars. He's chained the the wall, so she could always come in past the bars.
ic:
*Dorien opened his eyes and looked over the girl. In the closed space her scent filled the air and overwhelmed him. However, she seemed to be okay so he didn't try to attack her. He just sighed and looked up to her* "I killed Tyrin because I have to. To survive so to speak." *His voice was soft, the exaustion obvious* "And because if I didn't he would have killed me. Or tried at least." *Dorien closed his eyes for a moment then opened them again. The shadows that engulfed his figure made him look all the more menacing.* "I had a small back story with Tyrin anyway. We just...didn't get along." *He smiled weakly* "I doubt you're supposed to call me this, but I'm Dorien."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 12:06 AM (GMT)
She looked at the vampire, no Dorien. She found i highly rude to call someone a 'thing' instead of a name. He seemed, normal not at all as primal as she had heard. Without even blinking she pushed on the door and walked into the cell. It wasn't locked for obvious reason, it was charmed against Dorien. She sighed, and leaned back on the wall. Still a fair distance from Dorien, he might be chained up but she wasn't as dizzy as people assumed.
"Oh so Tyrin was his name, i have only seen him dead...That's the problem with the world today, it is duel or die. And i never was much of a dueler." She paused and looked around as if she was speaking a taboo before she whispered almost silently knowing full well he would hear her. "Dorien it is, but just between us...I'd rather not break too many rules in one night"
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 12:10 AM (GMT)
"Don't worry I don't tell on you." *Dorien smiled a little, careful not to show his fangs and scare her away. Maybe he could get her onto his good side and she would bring him something to eat* "I don't tihnk I could deal being punished again for 'lying...'" *Dorien looked up at her from under his eyelashes. He was trying to charm her. He knew it would be harder due to the circumstances, but it was what vampires did. Lure thier prey to them. Only he didn't intend to harm her. Dorien half smiled again, careful not to show his fangs and scare her* "You seem far too nice to be with these people."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
It was not Dorien telling on her that she worried about, but Fawne was as Fawne was and once she choose her path she walked down it. She titled her head curiously as he half smiled, it seemed strange to only half smile. But then she did the same only subconsciously with her wistful smile; however she had yet to smile in the company of Dorien.
She slid down the wall and sat cross legged on the floor, if anyone saw it would look like at best that the ditsy girl was studying or attempting to tease the captive.
"These people are my people now...Circumstance does these things to one...I could say the same for you, i expected you to be more, primal i suppose...Besides how are sure that I'm not really a vile person inside who masquerades as me now?"
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 12:22 AM (GMT)
"I can just tell." *He said quietly* "That's all lies that they're feeding you, you know. The only reason that they've told you vampires are primal is to scare you. Because fear breeds hate and out of hate comes unity under a common source." *Dorien leaned towards her, pain playing avross his face.* "The people here hurt me....I was on my way to say goodbye to my family in Yorkshire before leaving for russia to sleep for a few hundred years. I was ambushed. I hadn't killed a person in over a century. i killed onlky animals. It didn't satisfy me as a person might, but I got by.....I'm not a monster..." *He finished quietly, leaning closer towards her. He needed to win her over.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
She paused, everything she heard lately was so conflicting. She had been told to spy on people, had seen people get tortured and now she was sat across from a vampire that looked rather human. She looked Dorien straight in the eyes the usual mist in hers gone, he didn't seem to be lying, not that she was an expert at telling.
"Monster...What truly is a monster, I've lost people to them, I'm supposedly sat across from one. Everyone is a monster i believe its a matter of perspective and how they choose to be. I do hope you didn't kill rare animals i rather like animals..."
She paused and barely breathed her next words "You do not seem like a monster...but how do i know?"
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
*Dorien almost laughed. She was so innocent and naive* "No, I would never hunt something that could effect the environment." *He sat down again on the floor and rested his hands on his stomach.* "Can you figure out anything right about locking my up here?" *He asked, turning to look at her again* "It's not right.....and now they're going to torture me untill I die....or whatever it is that my kind does"
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
She looked around the cell, it was bloody awful and she was only a visitor. Would he really die? She knew some societies punished murder with death but self defense is different right... She blinked, she was no Ravenclaw but she had some sense.
"No i cannot, but in their eyes you are a murder, reasons or no...You are already of the undead; how could you die?...I suppose it would involve the loss of your soul? Dementors maybe?"
She watched his hands wrap around his stomach, was he hungry? That thought made her uneasy, she did not keep spare animal blood on her. But he had just said he didn't drink, er eat, human blood. She leaned towards him as if studying him carefully, trying to see whether he really was a monster.
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
"Well, in my eyes they're the murderer." *He said simply, laying back on the floor on his back, looking up at the ceiling. His skin kept the strange luminecent quatity despite the darkness of the room* "I don't know how it's done. I think there needs to be other vampires involved....they need to rip apart the body....then burn it....then scatter the ashes." *He said pensively* "Of course, as far as I know, Sentinus doesn't know this yet. However, it's not as if he isn't trying to figure out how it's done." *Dorien felt another pang of hunger and he winced slightly.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
"Then i am a murderer too." She stated simply without conviction or hate. She had become at ease in the cell, with Dorien, a bad idea since in all technicality he was a killer and a captive.
"Don't worry i wont tell either" she mimicked his earlier words before leaning forward so she was now on her knees and one hand. She extended to other towards his still form almost as if she was going to check for a fever, since she had noticed his flinch. She stopped however before touching his glowing skin. She didn't remove her hand but she didn't touch him either.
"You are ill..." she stated it simply, it was a fact not a question. Though she didn't offer to help verbally it could be seen in her eyes. Though what she could do for a captive she didn't know.
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
*Dorien sat back up, delibertly brushing his face against her outstretched hand. His skin was hard, cold, and smooth like marble. He looked at her, trying to figure out why she cared if he was ill* "No...I'm just.....very hungry." *He confessed* "You don't have to worry. I promise not to hurt you."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
She didn't automatically flinch, it wasn't in her persona to do so, but once he had moved away she removed her hand to her side and sat back quite quickly. He felt so cold, not sick cold but cold. Like ice. It was actually rather worrying.
"They don't feed you?" She was going to comment on the fact that a promise coming from someone in chains was a little stretched, but she didn't feel in harms way and so she didn't say anything. "perhaps i could..." She trailed off, what do you offer a vampire to eat, she couldn't well go up to another Family member and ask for some blood.
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
*Dorien watched her, facinated by the emotions playing across her face.* "Would you help me?" *HE asked quietly, his voice little more than a whisper* "I can't die in here.....I need to see my sister again. Anything would help.....even something small....." *He looked at her intently, his eyes intence and desperate, but unlike before, he was completely serious. He hoped he wasn't scaring her too much.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
Her head was muddled with thoughts, and somewhere vaguely in her mind this whole thing registered as a bad idea, but she was too muddled to care. She stared around the cell looking for some form of answer but none was found. Instead she stared directly at Dorien. She could not help him escape that much was clear, if she did she would face his punishment she was sure she would.
"Yes i would..." She also vaguely released she was too caring for her own good. Her next speech was just mere mumblings to herself "I could perhaps find you something to eat... Though what I'm not sure... Or give a message to your sister?" the whole situation was making her feel scared, Dorien's words and eyes, the cell, her own obligations. It was beyond muddling.
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 01:22 AM (GMT)
"NO!" *He almost shouted, pure fear flashing across his face* "No....she would try to rescue me and they would hurt her too."*Dorien glanced around, then back to Fawne, getting his emotions in check once again* "All I would need was a dog or a cat.....something like that."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
She visibly startled when he shouted, that was the behaviour she had first expected, even so her heart pound faster and she took a while to speak.
"No message i swear on my honor..." She looked at the door then back at Dorien. Where was she meant to get a Dog or Cat from, this was the Family's hide out not a pet store.
"I could try...Maybe a Bird or a Rodent...I do not know where i could find a cat or dog..."
She stood slowly watching Dorien the entire time as if scared he would yell again. He had startled her; a bloody hard feat to accomplish. Not because she was brave but because she was a dreamer.
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
*Dorien looked at her for a moment. He could sence her confusion.* "There's no need for you to hide.....you are one of those in charge. Isn't there a stray dog or cat in london or diagin alley?" *He asked he softly, trying to pllant the idea in her head*
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
She turned on the spot, she supposed he was right. Surely she could find a stray cat somewhere? She had always been more partial to dogs, so she would find him a cat. She mulled over his words.
"I am not hiding and i am not in charge. I am only slightly above you in rankings...I suppose i could go to diagon ally but that may take a while... i cant apparate, legally... i could floo?..Maybe there's a cat in the streets a little way from here?..."
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
"Don't do something to get yourself hurt." *He said, standing and moving as close to Fawne as the chairs would allow* "I very much appriciate this." *He looked down at his feet and then back up to her once again, hoping she would learn to trust him even more.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 01:51 AM (GMT)
As he moved towards her she didn't move and inch, she looked him straight in the eye before nodding her head.
"I could always say i was studying you, the way you eat...I did nearly end up in Ravenclaw..." She paused, what was the appropriate way to say goodbye to someone your 'Family' was holding captive.
She extended her hand cautiously as if for a hand shake. Truth be told he still scared her a little, though she did trust him slightly more than she should have.
"I should not be gone long...i hope..."
Dorien Hurt - October 28, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
"I hope you won't be gone long either." *He said quietly, his eyes smouldering at her in the dark as he extended his own hand to take hers. He slowlt brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of her hand, his eyes not off of her.* "Good luck." *He let her hand go again and took a few steps back into the shadows, his eyes still alert and focused on her* "And thank you."
Fawne Sugarmoon - October 28, 2007 02:13 AM (GMT)
Well that was not the usual reaction to a hand shake. It rather startled the dreamer, but in a strange way. She paused momentarialy watching him, her eyes trained on where she she had seen his vanish into the shadows. He seemed so very human, in a scary way...
She nodded her head to show acknowledgement of his thanks before stepping back to the cell door. She pushed it lightly and it opened. She paused and turned her head slightly to speak over her shoulder.
"Good luck to you too Dorien..." She mentally added on stay well, or as well as he could before she walked out of the door and past the cell, only glancing back once to where she assumed Dorien was before heading out of the house and towards a hunting trip...
