Title: Remember Me?
Kennedy Jade - October 28, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
Hey everyone! I'm the girl who used to play Lindsey may, for the three or four of you who might remember me, and I'm back. I heard someone talking about Harry Potter today and I remembered Lumos so I decided to check it out. Everything's changed a lot, but I haven't been here in about 2 years, maybe more. I couldn't believe I still had the url to the site. It feels weird being back on here.

(the site has only been running 2 and a bit years, you've not been gone that long. lol)
hey, welcome back. i remember you, i think. something tells me i do anyway. you were the one who got into many argument with people because you didn't RP, you just hung around the OOC forums.
which is fair enough, i've not RPed in months, im just in the OOC forums. lol

Hmm, maybe it's just been close to two years then.
Yep! That was me! lol I actually plan to rp this time. Or at least make an attempt at it. I think it might be fun if I give it a chance.

it is fun providing you like writing and can do it successfully. if you can't then it's just a pain because you get people telling you off for all sorts of things and all that, but yeah. lol
Kennedy Jade - October 28, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
Oh well, I'm used to that by now. lol Maybe I can get some good writing practice. Lord knows I need some.
Squall Leonheart - October 28, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
it certainly helps. helps typing speed as well if you need that to improve, but i don't know, lol.
Kennedy Jade - October 29, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
I need help with that too. lol Not so much in the actual typing, but how long it takes me to actually start typing. And then after I type it I go back and change one word at a time so it's "perfect" and eventually whatever I wrote originally is the exact opposite of what I end up going with. lol
Squall Leonheart - October 29, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
lol, that wouldn't be good in an RP. you mean to say something, but you edit it and change it so much that you mean something completely different, then you lose all your friends in RP, your character gets depressed and tries to commit suicide, but you don't manage it because you edit that post too, and say that you flew off or something. lol
i think RPing can help in that respect too. i mean, you will look at your writing and you will have got it right first time, eventually anyway.
Kennedy Jade - October 29, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
lol I wrote a paper tody and I didn't edit it once. It was probably the suckiest paper ever written but I didn't feel like changing it. lol
Squall Leonheart - October 30, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
lol, i've actually gone through an exam, got an answer right, went back, changed it to a wrong answer, then found out that the extra mark that it would have given me would have taken me up a grade. lol. so i don't check anything any more. hence the reason all my letters are lower case and you often see me misspelling words.
Kennedy Jade - October 30, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
lol. I'm really bad about going back and changing my answers. I think I do better when I double guess myself, I think the question through better when I do. I'm weird like that. lol That's why I have trouble with timed tests, there's not enough time to go back and check everything.
Squall Leonheart - October 31, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
in a timed test, i finish the paper and don't open it again, and its got me through as far as i've got with rather high scores. lol
Kennedy Jade - November 2, 2007 10:06 PM (GMT)
On that paper, I got a 100 and my teacer wrote "EXCELLENT" across it. I was like, ok, if you say so. lol I hate timed tests though. I lways do pretty good on them, but I always panic and wonder how much time I have left so I get distracted. The Ap tests are going to be tough because they're timed and everything you do-questions, essays- is measured in seconds. My teacher was like, it should take 6 seconds to do this part, 10 or 15 to read and answer this...OMG! I can't think that fast. And math will be the worst one because I check my calculations about 50 times before moving on to the next problem. lol
Squall Leonheart - November 3, 2007 09:55 PM (GMT)
lol, i hate it when teachers say "take so many minutes on this question, then move on." "this question is two marks it should take two minutes."
no.
lol
a two mark question will take me the amount of time that it takes for me to write down an answer that i believe is suitable for a two mark question.
if it takes 30 seconds or 5 minutes, i will take that long. lol
it's actually weird though. we had a history paper which the teacher said spend one minute per mark on. the paper was 2 hours, and held 100 marks, so for the other 20 minutes, supposedly you just sit there. i don't see that makes good use of time.
so i answer the lot in 1 hour and then have an hours sleep.
makes sense. lol
maths is my strongest subject, i love it. normally i can get my calculations spot on, so i don't check often.
Kennedy Jade - November 5, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
We can use calculators so I put the numbers in the calculators over and over again. lol I'm really ocd about math because I'm so afraid of getting a question wrong because I added two numbers wrong.
And the Ap thing is suggested by the princeton college board, which probably means they're being serious. lol That's one test I may not pass, I may not get past the first question. lol When I take the test I should be able to think and write like someone in their second year at a university, which would be 3 years ahead of the grade I'll actually be in. At least it's not a test that's necesary to pass...
