Title: Character Questions

Fawne Sugarmoon - November 2, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
I don't think I've read anywhere about a limit on how many characters you can have but i wanted to check if there was one?

I currently play Fawne and her brother Craven but i was pondering making an adult and having her apply as CoMC professor.

Oh and another question, is there any special circumstances you need to meet to apply as a professor, or do you just apply in the other applications section?

Sorry for being a bother,
Fawne.

There's no limit on how many characters you can have at all. A lot of people on here have more than 5.

There aren't any rules or anything to apply to be a professor, they just have to be an adult. Adult meaning at least 20, probably, because 18 and 19 is right out of Hogwarts and all. Post an application in the Employment Applications forum.

You're not a bother at all. :)

Thank you for your help Mel ^.^

I was going to make her around 27/28 so she had around 10 years out of Hogwarts first. Oh and i never realised people had that many charaecters each; I think i'd get confused with more than four!

I have 30 -40 characters but only use 1-5, such a lot either died in old plots or were written out of the story. I can bring many of them back at any point though.

even ones that are meant to be dead *cough* Percy *cough*

i can talk

*cough* Kane *cough*

yeah, personally, i have about 15 characters. if you're going to have many characters, try your best to RP as all of them so that plots do not become stale. bring back a character after a long time away (even if you were on the site) is annoying, and it's better if they stay and RP all the time, even if not as much as your other characters.

30-40 Characters?! Wow does that not get really confusing when you need to bring so many of the back?

thanks for the advice Squall, i think I'll use it. Fawne is one my favorite characters so shes going nowhere and Craven i roleplay enough, i hoping to post a lot with my adult character too.

I think it's better to not play more than 2 or 3... It keeps it relatively simple, and allows for character development.

Finns right, the only reason for my vast amounts of characters is that in the early stages we needed so many roles filling to generate plots.

It used to surprise me a lot when I find out that it's been the same person I've rped for over like 10 topics. Most of Lumos is made out of only 10 people.

:P

Squall Leonheart - November 4, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
perhaps not 10 people James, maybe 20, give us some credit.

Fawne Sugarmoon - November 4, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
I figured out a while back that most of the people i've rp-ed with were the same people lol. I'm even related to Flame (cousins) so we rp together a lot too.

And id figured there was more than 10 people about too, though i wont guess how many.

And that's understandable, Milo/Grand/Hans/Whatever else i should call you lol, if you need the people for plots you have to play them. I don't suppose you have a favorite character to play do you? It always interests me to know who's who's favorite character.

Squall Leonheart - November 5, 2007 08:11 AM (GMT)
me and Adam used to spend a lot of our time RPing together, most of our plots were created with both our characters in mind. recently, i've not been RPing, and therefore our plots (which were excellent, even if other people didn't think so) have gone down the drain.

i know i have favourite characters. i only ever RP as Squall, so he's obviously one of mine, but i also love playing Scythe, Archie and Angus when i can, because they are different and completely mental.

Melanie Hunter - November 5, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Angus is effing amazing. Both of those guys are.

I've have about 10 characters overall, but I only ever really use Mel, Alex, and Ian. On here, I have had about 3 teacher characters, a Minister of Magic, and a bunch of random weird students. I think I'm going to make another little girl student, though, based off of the character I made on WW. The only difference will be her hair color, cause there's a poopload of redheaded characters right now.

I think i recognise the name Scythe form post somewhere. But i did vanish for a while so its probably ages ago! And its nice to see Squall Rp-ing again lol. When i left he was around and when i returned he had gone. Its good to see him back.

Maybe she could have strawberry blond hair? Though there nothing wrong with lots of red haired characters. Maybe there all secretly related to the weasleys?
