Title: Potions #2

Milo Scone - November 24, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
Milo Scone filed some books in his little bookcase while waiting for his class to arrive. For the first time in a few years he discovered what a nice little library he had built up over his life time. Books on herblore, potioneering and even the Dark Arts (reference, of course). He would be sure to re-explore this library at a later date when he wasnt Head Master and being used as a Dark Wizard's puppet.

Ah... Class time.

Finnigan Tatupu - November 24, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
Finn walked in to potions class about fifteen minutes early. He hadn't combed his hair, so he was wearing a Meteorites skull cap. Finn hadn't spoken to his brother in weeks, he blamed most of that on Milo, but things could change quickly. "Good Morning Professor," Finn said coldly. If Milo really cared about him, he would apologize for not talking to him. Finn figured that he had been away, but a note wouldn't have been too hard to write. Finn had a bad week, and had nobody to help him vent. His mother wrote him. She was pregnant with another child, due in the spring. He removed his hat and ran his fingers through his short hair. He was clearly stressed out.

Flame Lestrange - November 26, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
Flame was early to the lesson this week- if only to make up for how late she was last lesson and when she walked into the classroom she was very surprised to see Finn there already but then, in the back of her mind, she laughed- what else would she expect from the teachers puppet?

She glared arund coldly, sent a cold smirk towards Finn, smiled and waved sarcastically at Scone and took her seat at the back of the room, faking a yawn to emphasise the fact she had better things to do with her time.

Fawne Sugarmoon - November 27, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
After the whole fiasco last lesson Fawne had been up stupidly early this morning and had been wandering around the castle thinking and determined not to be late; when she actually arrived she was third to the lesson and thankfully not late.

She was not wearing her orange sash today and she seemed rather more distracted that usual but other that that she was her normal ditsy dreaming self. She didn't even glance once at Flame but instead turned her steady gaze towards he professor but seemingly through him.

"Good Morning Sir."

Craven Blackwood - November 27, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
Craven had missed the first potion lesson due to a slight illness, and so he had yet to make it known that he was affiliated with Flame and Fawne. And since he was lacking his family sash, which had hadn’t worn once whilst in school, he appeared to be a normal slytherin. Albeit a mismatch eyed, cold and loner slytherin but one all the same. He casually walked into Scone’s room and dropped down in a chair a few to the side of Finn’s. He shot neither girl a glance and although he and Fawne were siblings they were not done so by blood and looked nothing alike. If all went according to plan the professor might trust him enough to talk to him casually.

“Professor Scone.” His voice was deep but not low and he accompanied this statement with a nod of his head in a respectful greeting manor.

Milo Scone - December 3, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
"Let us begin."

He picked up a bunch of oak leaves and placed them into an empty cauldron. He then took a bottle of Hippogriff milk and emptied it into the cauldron. "Heat." It flared up and soon a black sooty vapor came out of the mixing pot."

Then something came from his wand. "Molten iron."

He stirred it together then sipped some and his skin became blue and hard. "Nothing will penetrate my skin now. Perfect vampire protection. Go make."

Finnigan Tatupu - December 3, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
Finn did as he was told, except he didn't heat the milk hot enough. He knew it was a mistake. He wanted some attention from his brother. It seemed to him that his brother didn't want to know him any longer...

Milo Scone - December 4, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
Milo noticed Finn's potion went wrong. he walked up to it without looking at his brother. "More heat," he commanded before moving to the next cauldron. Milo was inches away from being killed, the last thing he wanted was to become close with anyone outside of the resistance.

Finnigan Tatupu - December 4, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
Finn stood up. "Oh really?" He was angry that his brother had hardly acknowledged him. He picked up the vial and smashed it on the ground. Shards of glass littered the floor. "I don't need you." He said, holding back tears, "I lived fine without you for 17 years and I don't need you now! Maybe our father knew best when he walked out... I think I'll take a page from his book!" Finn picked up another, much larger vial and threw it at the wall. He was tired of being ignored. He promptly headed towards the door.

Flame Lestrange - December 5, 2007 10:55 AM (GMT)
This week Flame decided against adding ingredients, or even taking short cuts, for she could not be bothered with any extra work the idiot professor may load onto her. In fact, she couldn't help but laugh a cold and nanic laugh when Finn stormed out, for it seemed she was not the only one to hate Scone anymore.

She rubbed her hands together, and stared at her potion, once again perfect. She sat back and smirked snidely at the professor.

Milo Scone - December 5, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
He watched Finn for a time, totally flabbergasted at his behaviour. His wand was out with in seconds and he pointed towards the door which bolted shut.

"I did not give you permission to leave! I am your teacher and Headmaster you will sit down and prepare an skin thickening potion at once!" He paused for sometime before adding. "Detention Mister Tatupu!" His voice was raised but it was not shouting, it was stern and in control. Scone knew what he was doing and a little flicker in his eye told Finn to play along.

Then he turned to Flame and waved his wand. Her cauldron exploded and her potion vanished. "Troll."

He went back to his desk and began to write a document. "This, Miss Lestrange is your final, written warning. One more strike and you will be out of his school before you can say Grand Sentinus."

He smiled calmly and handed her the form.
"Anyone else plan to distrupt the lesson? If so, do it now I have plenty more final warning forms and even more expulsion forms." He smiled again.

Flame Lestrange - December 5, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
Flame stared at him for a minute and rolled her eyes. "Then kick me out, see if I care. Maybe I'll give you a good reason." she laughed, taking her wand from her pocket and pointing it at him threateningly. It was, perhaps, funny to watch- Flame had completely lost control. She was turning from a somewhat controlled hater of all to an uncontrolled one.

"CRUCIO!" she roared, pointing her wand straight at him.

Milo Scone - December 5, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)
And, quite simply he stepped to the side, formed a barrier around him then looked at her and laughed. "Use of an unforgivable curse equals a life time in azkaban. The Grand Sentinus has not said otherwise." He pointed to a fire which turned green then sent great chains towards Flame.

"Class, detain her at once! She has broken Family law!"

Finnigan Tatupu - December 6, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
Finn crossed his arms. Milo wasn't the boss of him. He knew that he wouldn't have detention, but knew it would never be possible to hide from the Grand. The Grand probably knew they were brothers. He watched Flame use an unforgivable. He watched his brother sidestep this curse. That was the last he saw. He was hit right between the eyes with the curse. He collapsed to the ground, and writhed in pain.

Fawne Sugarmoon - December 6, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
Fawne had barely started her potion when the commotion began. At first she just stood stil,l in shock she supposed, her normal serene look having yet to leave her face. However when Finn hit the ground and began to writhe she realised what was going on.

Unsure of what to do she did the first thing that sprung to mind, and that was to withdraw her own wand form her skirts belt loops. With this done she weaved past a few chairs and over to the collapsed Finn.

"Stop it. Stop it. Stop her. Help." She didn't shout but her voice lacked it airy tones which gave it the same affect. Her mind was a jumble and she didn't know what to do to help, in the end she knelt down next to him unsure whether or not she should touch him. She pointed her wand at Finn and muttered each and every charm for ending a spell she could think of, unsure if any would work but unwilling to give up.

Flame Lestrange - December 9, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
When the curse missed the target and hit, instead, Finn, she was quick to pull it off. Scone's voice echoed through the room. Boy, was she in trouble, but something new was coming over her- something she had no control of.

This something was power. A sudden rush of power. It made her feel invinceible but worse, it was controlling her. She'd never known power; only ever having her excellence in potions to boast about, now she was suddenly flooded with magical skill she knew nothing about controlling. She needed help- someone who knew something about controlling great power- but noone knew what was happening to her. This was the first she'd seen of it. It was already ruling her.

She flicked her wand at the wall and watched it explode. Now came skills she'd known for a long time. As she had in the time of the death eaters she flew with no broom, from the room, turning back only to taunt Scone. "Come get me, sir, you know you want to."

Milo Scone - December 9, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
Scone waved his wand and the door closed shut. He then placed a locking and silencing charm on the door as well. "Ok class, back to your potions. Finn - theres a good chap, up and back to studies." Milo smiled at Flame, he would report her to the Grand, and then there would be punishment... he hoped. Flame had no power inside Hogwarts. He was the headmaster.

Flame Lestrange - December 9, 2007 04:30 PM (GMT)
Flame smirked. In her mind, this meant that she had won. He'd given up, had he not? She landed on the floor and paced away with a sigh- well, now what could she do? There was nothing to do here. She wished she was somewhere more exciting; but where was exciting when she was bound to the family the way she was?

Coldstone Harshing - December 9, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
"Flame," hissed a voice from a little way away, a cane in his hand, an orange sash striped across his long black gown. Coldstone Harshing had abandoned the resistance and joined the Family, now head of Discipline at Hogwarts school.

He walked up to her like an olympic fencer, his cane out in one hand and his wand in the other. "So nice to see you."

Flame Lestrange - December 9, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
She wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings, far too concerned with the fact she had won- in her mind at least. However a voice caught her ears and she frowned. Flame, your going mad- you'll never hear that voice in Hogwarts again she told herself, turning around to check. But even as she did her nightmares began to play out before her. He was here, in the flesh.

She smiled nervously. "Same, Harshing." she lied.

Coldstone Harshing - December 9, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
"The Grand Sentinus was most glad to hear of every single plot the resistance is hatching which I of course planned for them, which I of course doomed to failure. The resistance will not last without my mastery..." He turned away for a second then resumed with Flame.

"So Yes, we are Family now."

Of course, Harhsing had cleverly woven a cunning, genius plot to foil both the resistance and the Family. Once again Harshing had proven himself to be a criminal mastermind. His real plans were safely tucked away.

Flame Lestrange - December 9, 2007 04:50 PM (GMT)
Flame frowned. This didn't make sense. Harshing had told her the family was the wrong place to be- that Sentinus was nothing but a moster- what had changed his mind? She shrugged and glared at Harshing and for a moment the power subsided leaving the vulnerable Flame visible within her own eyes before once again mastering her. Flame was trying to fight back- it just wasn't working- and that meant she was heading into treacherous waters.

"Family, in a sense. I am no relative of yours." he had, himself, announced that they were nothing to do with one another- the father and daughter that would never be just that.

Coldstone Harshing - December 9, 2007 04:54 PM (GMT)
"We are family only by metaphor, yes." His eyes glinted dangerously in the pale candle light. He moved slowly, like a cobra preparing to strike. "As your... metaphorical father I feel it only necessary to punish you accordingly." He smiled and nodded his head, "There is a place which I took you to a few years ago. That place no longer exists. I have rebuilt and restructured 101 so it is now more powerful than ever..."

He murmured a laugh, "Of course, a simple matter of the cruciatus curse on that lunatic Headmaster is only worthy of a caning."

He held up his cane. "Hand out stretched, you will receive five strokes of the cane upon pain of Sentinus."

Flame Lestrange - December 9, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
Had he not seen it? Could he not see it? Flame's soul was screaming out for him to see yet the power kept her quiet, silent. No-one could hear what Flame wanted to say. All she could do to save herself was to try and trick it, for she couldn't fight it.

He had that look in his eye, one that meant he was going to hurt her, or try. Inside she was recoiling but her body stood, staring cockily at the approaching monster.

"You are not my metaphorical father- only the sentinus gets that title. An uncle, maybe." there was a cold tone in her voice, the power adding a certain depth to it she'd never held in her voice before. She smirked. "You dislike him too? It seems at last there is a... similarity... between us."

She was glad to recieve the minor punishment, plus she did not care about physical pain. Something told her this was not it all. She placed her hands before her, ready for her punishment.

Finnigan Tatupu - December 9, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
Finn sat up, dazed but still mad as hell. He sat on the floor for a few moments longer. His brother must have thought that Finn was weak. He payed him no mind, and kept him under control. He didn't know what he should do, he wanted to break some more things, but thought better of it. He remained on the floor. He wasn't going to give his brother the satisfaction without an explanation.

Coldstone Harshing - December 9, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
Harshing slammed the cane down, getting harder each time never breaking the unending stare into his daughters eyes. At the end the corners of his mouth upturned slightly into a smile, the cane returned to his side. There was a moments silence then he lunged forwards and his gnarled hand twisted around her throat.

He whispered into her ear - "Talk to me like that again and I'll remove your internal organs, one by one and then force you to eat them - keeping you alive until the last pure droplet of pain can be garnered."

He stood up to his full height. "Go back into your lesson and inform Scone that you and him are to come to my office tonight at 6."

He walked off down the corridor, unlocking the classroom door with his wand.

Flame Lestrange - December 10, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
She didn't flinch. Not once did a single sign of recognition for the pain the caning caused grace her features. Instead a cold, steady look, which met Harshing's own, remained. She didn't take her eyes from his- there was an element of mistrust when she was around him. She didn't trust him. She never had trusted him, she never would. The caning finished and once again there was no change in the way she looked- smug, as if she knew something others didn't. Even when he grabbed her by the throat and uttered threats it did not change. He let her go and gave her orders before pacing off.

She turned back to the door with a sigh. Here went nothing she guessed. Flame walked through the door and walked straight up to Scone.

"Me and you, Harshing's office, 6pm, tonight." she hissed, turning to walk towards her seat. "I got told to tell you." she added with a shrug as she sat down.

Coldstone Harshing - December 10, 2007 06:35 PM (GMT)
Milo coughed. "This is the end of the lesson. Flame you are banned from coming to Potions lesson ever again." He walked straight out of the door.

Flame Lestrange - December 10, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
Flame smirked at the proffessor. "Good riddance. You only do things I've done before anyway." she said, standing and walking out, wandering why they needed to go to Harshing's office.
