Title: DADA Lesson 1
Logan Corso - December 2, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
*Logan sat on his desk, left leg hanging over the front, right pulled up to his chest with the heel resting on the edge of the desk. His hair was carefully styled back out of his face. Logan's wand was on the desk beside him. His name was writen up on the board behind him in white chalk with his sloppy handwriting. He realized that a strand of hair fell out of place and into his eyes but he ignored it, sighing impatiently, wanting his class to come so he could meet them. It was, afterall, his first time teaching.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
She walked with her usual soft footsteps into the classroom, she had decided that she would attend every class she could and was rather looking forward to this one. She paused shortly behind the very front student desk, not taking a seat. Silver eyes quickly scanned over the room before settling on the Professor at the front of the class. This professor appeared more of a 'Knave' or that would be her word for it anyway, she stared for a short while rather unaffected by the apparent awkwardness and impoliteness that could have been given before blinking the unfocused look form her eyes and giving the professor a small half smile.
"Oh hello Professor Corso..."
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
*Logan's eyebrows furrowed slightly, a small smile playing across his face. The girl seemd to be either deep in thought or high upon first impression.* "Hello......." *He had to work not to laugh at the absuridity of the situation* "Have a seat." *His grinned widened slightly and he reached for his wand, twirling it between his fingers* "What's your name?"
Craven Blackwood - December 3, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
A tall slytherin boy walked into the classroom, the orange sash proudly thrown across his shoulders. Without even glancing at the other people in the room Craven dropped down at his desk before lazily looking around his chin resting in his hand. He languidly closed his eyes before speaking with them still closed.
"Morning Professor..."
He nodded his head at Fawne in greeting whilst opening his eyes. Their real family were having a bit of tension lately at 'The Family's' activities but it didn't stop Fawne and him being related, just meant they were on thin ice. Or he was anyway, she seemed unaffected if not a little more pale and down to earth than usual...
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
Without blinking she promptly sat in the seat she had been stood behind the small half smle still in place though she seemed a little more awake now. Her eyes watched the movemnts of his wand with great intrest, twirling her wand in her fingers was a habit she would often perform. She glanced up from his hands to his eyes once more and although still whimsically as allways she seemed more normal.
"Fawne Sugarmoon... 5th year Ravenclaw, sir"
She paused upon hearing Cravens words, he wasn't talking to her lately for some reason and she waved poiletly in resposne to his nod. before turning her attention back to the professor,
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
*Logan nodded in the direction of the other student as he walked in, but his attention was pulled back to Fawne when she spoke* "Oooh, a ravenclaw." *He said, resting his chin on his knee and gazing back at her, still smiling.* "I was a Ravenclaw." *He pushed the stay hair out of his face back to where it should be. The boy's sash made him cringe slightly....his own sash was a wrinkled mess under his bed with the rest of his undone laundry.* "Are you in The Family as well, Fawne, 5th year Ravenclaw of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?" *There was a midly playfully-mocking undertone in his voice in responce to how formal she was being.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
She smiled brightly when he said he used to be a Ravenclaw. She always found Ravenclaws were some of the most fascinating people. Her smile faltered a little when he asked about the family but it was soon set into place even if a little less vivid than before.
"Who is not in the family now-a-day's sir?" Her voice held an airy soft tone too it.
Fawne's sash was somewhere in the forbidden forest where she'd left it when visiting the Thestral's and she had no intention of admitting that any time soon and so she choose not to mention it until she found the damn thing.
--------------------------------------
Craven scowled visibly scowled when Fawne answered the way she did, why did she never give a straight answer?! She should be singing her alliance to the world, but alas she was always a ditsy.
"My step sister is one of the family along with myself..." He paused before directing a quiet comment to Fawne. "Sugarmoon act normal for once" His voice was deep and a stark contrast to his sisters, He placed his chin back in his hand and closed his eyes once more as if attempting to block out the morning. He hated mornings.
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 01:21 AM (GMT)
"Hm, you're related. How nice." *Logan slid down off his desk.* "I agree though....it seems as if everyone's in the family. It would be stupid not to be. There's strength in numbers." *Logan crossed to the other end of the room as he talked.* "I'm in the family as well." *He pulled out a stack of paper and set it down heavily on the table by the window* "Of course you wouldn't be able to tell, since I can't find my sash...." *He muttered, smiling a little to himself. Logan returned to his desk and set his wand back down*
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
Fawne seemed to ignore the related comment completely, along with Craven's comment about her normality. The family was pushing there sibling relationship apart, but no matter she knew it could be far worse. She giggled lightly at his comment about his sash finding funnier since she was aware of the missing status of her own. She was beginning to think one could make a fortune if they sold replacements.
"The Family is home to many, it is" she paused very swiftly before speaking once more "Nice to have a teacher supporting the family." Her tone seemed more falsely soft than normal. She pushed her thoughts of the family and consequently everything that had happened there to the back of her mind before speaking once more her normal tone having returned.
"I would like to request as to what we are going to study..." True she seemed overly formal but that was her way, formal yet blunt and whimsical a nice confusing mix.
------------------------------------------
Craven had been more than a little unimpressed by the way the related comment sounded. However since the professor was a member of the family and his professor he decided not to make an idiot of himself and instead set about muttering annoyed comments. He looked at the teacher and tried to picture his thoughts on the family but found it impossibly. He could never read people. He sighed in the end and settled for keeping his eyes firmly closed, he could have virtually been asleep.
Finnigan Tatupu - December 3, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
Finn entered the class room, still rather early. He felt like an outsider. He said a curt salutation to the professor and took a seat. He felt like he was outside the conversation and was interrupting. He took out his potions notes and began studying for his midterm. He figured he would get top marks as his brother taught the class... He had the notes needed to pass the exam.
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
*Logan glanced over to Fawne at her comment about a teacher representing the family. He wasn't really a big fan of the family....he was just in it to get a teaching position. Logan could tell she wasn't all for it either.* "Today we will be studying how to defend yourself against the dark arts." *He was midly sarcastic, but in a good way.* "What al have you studied so far? The headmaster didn't give me much on previous professors here."
*Logan looked up at the new student as he entered the room* "Hello....welcome to Defence against the Dark arts.* "He was tempted to say 'I'm your host, Alex Trebeck.' but refrained. This was neither the time nor the place to be immature.* "I'm Logan.....or professor Corso, I guess..."
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
Fawne smiled softly at Finn and waved her hand in greeting. Of course she still knew him as Tatupu since that's what he had introduced himself as in the dueling class.
"Hello Tatupu..."
She turned back to the professor tilting her head in thought as if trying to remember the previous teachers. To be honest she really couldn't remember them that well. She blinked and for a moment she almost looked like a type of animal with the wide eyed look of confusion and the tilted head.
"I can not remember them...How odd..."
------------------------------------
Craven sighed loudly knowing that now three of them where here it wouldn't be long until the rest of the class arrived. He had missed the whole lack of keenness for the family with his own apathetic bitter attitude. He opened his eyes and lounged backwards in his chair though at least now he was sat up. He glanced towards Finn and being from the same house he offered a greeting.
"Morning Finn."
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 02:18 AM (GMT)
"I had a feeling you'd say that." *He muttered.* "Well, then I guess we'll have to start back at the beginning. And if you get bored we'll just....skip ahead a little." *He sunk into the chair behind his desk and spun around in it slowly.* "Fun." *He smiled absently, tilting his head back, looking at the ceiling*
Finnigan Tatupu - December 3, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
He gave her a small nod. He knew of her status with the family, and didn't think it wise to get involved in politics. Seeing as everything eventually was returned to the way it should be. He retrieved a notebook out of his satchel. He assumed they would be taking some notes.
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 3, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
OOC: Bugger, Fawne's a gryffindor. I got her house confused with Mei's, silly lack of sleep. Sorry my apologies.
She smiled at Finn when he acknowledged her but other than that her attention was back on the professor; she found his behaviour interesting for a teacher and she always had, had an over curious side. If anything she felt he was rather odd himself...With a small flurry of movement a golden star patterned notebook was sat on her desk next to what looked suspiciously like a raven feather quill, an inkwell and her wand. Within seconds her silvery gaze was back on Corso and off her odd collection of school items.
"Will there be practical lessons?"
--------------------
Craven being not nearly as eager as the other too lazy plucked a battered notebook from his bag and dropped it onto his desk along with a normal self inking quill. He was in no mode for this lesson at all. Who the hell decided classes would be in a morning didn't they know some people weren't morning people?
He mumbled under his breath in annoyance. "this had better be more interesting than runes..."
Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
"I do mostly hands on stuff. Although today I tihnk it'll be notes first....." *He trailed off and looked at Craven. He seemed like someone he would have jsut ignored when he was in school.* "Oh please.....anything's better than ruins.....but you didn't hear me say that of course."
Melanie Hunter - December 4, 2007 03:35 AM (GMT)
*Melanie was the first to enter of the Hunter Trio. She, like Craven, was proudly displaying her orange sash, which to her now was more to make her believe she really followed The Family anymore. She sat down in the middle of the room with a brilliant, somewhat fake smile on her face.*
Melanie:"Morning everyone."
*She recognized most of them from The Family, even though she had never talked to them, and of course there was Finn. She sat down and maintained her happy air, the artificiality of it not obvious.*
*A short while later, Alex sauntered in and wordlessly sat down in the seat closest to the door. It would allow a quick escape, after all. He barely acknowledged the fact that anyone existed but for a permenant disdainful glare at his sister. He was livid with her for abandoning him like she had.*
*Ian entered last, looking down at the floor, glancing anxiously up at the others in the room and hoping to God that they would not hurt him. He had been condemned ever since he had come back. Alex, the only person he felt he could talk to about anything, was shunning him, Melanie wasn't allowed to talk to him for 'certain reasons', and the people from The Family took every available opportunity they had to punish him for being a member of The Resistance, since it was obvious that he was. Why else would he have disappeared, after all?
He was constantly on the edge of his seat. Instead of the happy optimistic boy he was before the ordeal, he had become the epitome of anxiousness and fear. He hated that he had to be in school, he wanted to be at Kiley's house, helping The Resistance. It wasn't fair. It wouldn't take long before Sentinus decided just to get rid of him. No, that would be too simple for right now. It was better to make him suffer.*

Logan Corso - December 4, 2007 03:45 AM (GMT)
*Logan watced the other three enter. He felt his insides squirm slightly as he saw the girl with the sash.....again, the mixed emotions* "Hello, I'm your new DADA teacher Professor Corso...." *He paused and moved back infront of his desk. He sat back on it again, as how he had been when the students had start to enter* "Might as well get started I guess. Okay. I'm not gonna bother with rules.....you'll figure them out as you go along. Use common sence....don't be a moron and you'll do fine. Alright. So what do you know so far about defensive magic? Ummm....you there, in the back by the door.....Dunno your name, sorry." *He waited for him to answer, all the while twirling his wand in his fingers again.*
Melanie Hunter - December 4, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
*Alex stared up at Corso with an expression like 'What? You really expect me to talk?'. After a few seconds of no response, Melanie answered for him.*
Melanie:"His name is Alex Hunter. Alex, tell him what you've learned so far." *She instructed him. Alex flicked her off. Ian sank into his seat and tried to be as invisible as possible, but red hair makes that sort of impossible.*
OOC: Trust me, I know it does. Yet somehow I manage it. lol.
~Mel
Logan Corso - December 4, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
*Logan sighed* "Look. I get that there's a lot of tension right now. But you need to leave it outside the class room and do your work. I'm really not going to ask all that much of you." *He decided not to push the kid and turned instead to the girl that had answered for him* "Since you seem to be the spokesperson....could you answer the question? And, sorry, what's your name?"
Melanie Hunter - December 4, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
*Melanie smiled honestly at being spoken to directly by such a cute teacher.*
Melanie:"I'm Melanie Hunter, and I've learned a lot of basic spells, mainly through having them performed on me until I'm near death. Name a curse and I'll more than likely know it. Sentinus has also taught me some very unique spells, but I don't expect anyone else to know them."
*The last sentence oozed arrogance to the point that Alex scoffed and Ian looked extremely disappointed in his sister.*
~Mel
Logan Corso - December 4, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
"Well, Malanie, I'm glad that you've grown as a oerson through The Grand's wisdom." *There was only the slightest hint of sarcasm there and he covered it up with a pretty convincing grin* "Anyone else that would care to add to these pearls of wisdom from Mel?" *He ran his hand throug his hair as he scanned the class for someone to call on if nobody vollunteered.* "That was a good answer, we just need some more......." *He paused a moment* "Or if you don't wanna answer that one, what is it that you guys wanna learn this year?"
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 5, 2007 10:28 PM (GMT)
Fawne had been disinterestedly following the conversation whilst twirling the emerald thestral pendant that hung around her neck. Obviously things were tense in the school, it was a breeding ground of war. She sighed loudly and rose a nimble hand in the air, though she didn't wait for acknowledgement before speaking in her normal far away tone.
"I think it would be delightful to learn the defensive spells Melanie speaks so highly of. However i think it would be useful to know the offensive spells also. One can not truly understand a defensive without knowing the attack..."
Although her voice was airy there was a hint of sense behind them, things were changing now and everyone needed to know how to defend themselves and if need be attack.
----------------------------------------
Craven although looking fairly asleep had also been listing into the teachers words, if only out of the necessity to be an observer and not a participator. However when his sister spoke he opened both eyes sharply and began to snicker deeply. Upon finally calming himself he sat fully up right form his lazy position and adjusted his sash so it was even more prominent. He finally nodded his head in greeting to Mel, she was a family member after all before shooting an incredulous look at his sister that seemed to say something along the lines of 'You couldn't duel a puffaskin.'
Obviously family tensions were running high in this class room, what a brilliant start. Even if Fawne didn't seem to notice Cravens disapproval for her recent behaviour and the quiet red head boy was trying to be invisible...
Logan Corso - December 5, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
"Good Fawne." *He said, returning to his desk to sit on it as he talked to the class* "She's right. In this class, you'll learn two different kind of spells, since both can, technically be used to defend yourself against the dark arts. Basically, spells that block and spells that cause some effect on your opponent. Blocking spells can be more practical, but not nearly as fun." *He grinned, trying to lighten the mood in the room...it wasn't working. Logan decided that instead of trying to resolve the tension in the class that he would build off of it to attempt to teach them something.* "Craven.....aaand you. Sorry, what's your name?" *He said, pointing at Ian.* "Could you two please come up front? Craven, over there." *He motioned to the right side of the classroom.* "And you over there." *He pointed him in the other direction.*
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 5, 2007 11:36 PM (GMT)
Although he wasn't exactly eager to do as he was told, after all he based his whole personality on his lazy loner factor, he stood up from his chair noisily scratching it across the floor. He walked over to where directed without a single word, his mismatched eyes not particularly looking all together awake. Although he hadn't been told to bring anything with him his black oak wand was hanging loosely from his right trouser pocket and his hand was thrust casually into the left as he stood where directed.
"Here?...Professor" It was obvious that the title was added on, though it was actually unintentional that her forgot it.
-----------------------
"Thank you Professor Logan..." Her tone was soft and showed no sign of arrogance just general thanks at his praise.
Fawne had been one of the few if any to grin at his comment about fun, it did help however that she was far to smiley and wistful about everything. However she has visibly watched her brother, noticing his tell tale 'Slytherin Behaviour' as she referred to it. She admitted inwardly that she wondered what had happened between them but even their conflicted houses hadn't caused this much of an issue. She supposed it was her own fault for joining the family with him. She was not cut out for the orange sash.
Within seconds her silvery wide eyed gaze returned to the teachers and she awaited what would happened.
Melanie Hunter - December 6, 2007 02:46 AM (GMT)
*When Ian noticed that Professor Corso was asking him to go up to the front of the class, he got a deer-in-headlights look about him. He searched about the room as if he'd find some sort of way out of it by doing so, but when he realized that there was no other option than to just go and do it, he stood up, almost knocking his desk over in the process, and walked quickly to where Corso had told him to go. He was obviously scared witless.*
~Mel
Logan Corso - December 6, 2007 03:23 AM (GMT)
*Logan chuckled at the kid* "It's going to be okay...really. Nothing's going to happen to you." *He turned back to the rest of the class.* "What can you guys tell me about dueling? Anything?"
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 7, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
Dispite being useless at dueling herself, she had never tried it before and she hadn't needed to, Fawne raised her hand to answer the question. Although she was usually very big on manners she didnt wait for him to motion her to answer, since no body else seemed to be speaking right now anyway, she just went right ahead and spoke in an far away voice that suggested she was only half paying attention.
"A Duel is generally regarded as a formal or informal combat arrangement between two, or more wizards..."
It sounded much like she had read a definition, which in some sense could be true since she had a knack for remembering them. She thought about adding on some more general information but the loud voice of her brother over rode her.
----------------------------------
Craven rolled his eyes at his sister, he was being petty he knew but it made him feel better at the moment. He spent most of his younger life protecting and dueling for his sister she had been far to odd for her own good and he could never picture actually willingly causing great harm... When she'd finished her little definition Craven spoke up without even bothering to raise his hand.
"It's best not to be hit by anything in a duel, regardless of who cast the spell. Friend or Foe..."
Rasaq Jones - December 8, 2007 05:47 AM (GMT)
Rasaq tried to come through the door quietly, but to no avail. His bag smashed against the door making a rather decent sounding noise. He swore under his breath as he went to have a seat. His mother has simply insisted that he came home after his aunt passed away. It was first time at school in about a month or two. Even after that break he managed to sleep in on his first day back. In contrast though, he looked amazing. He had slimmed down to about one hundred and seventy five pounds and the muscles were visible. He wore a black bandanna around his head, covering where his cornrows started. He ran a hand over his goatee then down onto his black polo with white stripes. It was a bit tighter on him but it showed off his muscles. It also revealed a tattoo on his right bicep. It looked to be the bottom of the Roman Numerals 'XXI'. The African American male gave Fawne a quick smile before seating himself down in a chair.
Logan Corso - December 11, 2007 12:04 AM (GMT)
*Logan was about to thank both of the students for their contributions to the lesson when another kid barged into the room. Although he wished that they would be on time, he knew he had always been late for class when he was in school, so it would have been wrong for him to have said anything or punish him.* "Welcome to class. Anyway.....you're both right. A duel is magical combat for wizards and witches. It's best to never be hit because a duel's a duel no matter. Always keep that in mind. A duel is a duel is a duel. So. We'll start with just a protective spell. A pretty basic one that you all probably know already is protego. It's a sheilding charm. In latin, protego means "to defend." Very creative, I know." *He smiled and turned back to Ian and Craven.* "Okay, Craven, I'm going to ask you to hex Ian.....and Ian, you're going to use protego to delect the charm. If you know it, you won't be hexed. And if you don't......even more incentive to learn it." *He was trying to get some energy in the room. He hoped it worked as well on them as it was on him; he was doing everything in his power not to litterally bounce around.* "And craven, don't do anything that could really hurt him. Because I'll loose my job....and we don't want that." *He grinned at the joke and backed up to stand at the side of the room and watch* "Once you get it Ian, then we'll switch and craven can try the shield. Go when you're ready." *He paused for a split second* "Oh, yeah, almost forgot. Don't forget to bow to your opponent." *He waited silently, his dark hair partially falling in his line of vision.*
ooc: hey, sorry I haven't been on. I was in New York with a friend, and we tried to get internet in the hotel but it wouldn't work....so I'm sorry. But I'm back. woo hoooo. lol
Melanie Hunter - December 11, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
OOC: WOOO KILEY IS BACK WOOOOO.
IC:
*Ian listened to what the other students had to say, but he almost passed out when a new student walked in. He was about 10 times his size and he was, needless to say, afraid of being crushed just in case they decided to have the new boy duel him too.
He heard his instructions and considered bolting out of the room right then and there, but that would be the cowards way out, and he was not a coward. He almost cried when realizing that there was no other way to escape, but that, too, was cowardly so he held back. He glanced over at his brother for some sign of reassurance, but he had none. From his sister? It was well hidden. This duel was not fair at all. A tiny second year against someone who was older, more skilled, and imposing than he?
He braced himself. He had seen this spell done plenty of times, maybe he could do it....
At Corso's instruction, he bowed to Craven and almost fell over from the severe shakes he had.
Even in class he was being attacked. Why did Kiley have to send him back? Why couldn't he have pretended to be dead or in trouble?*
*Alex watched his younger brother shake with fear and felt a surge of anger at their professor for setting up such a thing. He was still mad at Ian for abandoning him, but their family connection remained, and he was sick of watching people hurt him. He kept up his poker face so no one would know that he truly cared about what happened.*
*Melanie was silently having a complete mental breakdown. Her stomach was churning and she was on the verge of vomiting. God only knew what Craven would do to Ian. He would probably take advantage of him, and it wasn't right, or fair. It was even worse given the state that the boy was in, he was so hurt and scared- a kicked puppy- and there was nothing she could do.*
~Mel
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 11, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
OOC: My apologises for vanishing, my laptops currently being repaired so I'm on the years old pc. Ugh lol. And yay Kiley's back!
IC:
Craven also stared at the new boy to waltz into class, though only momentarily before her returned his attention to Ian. He seemed to be shaking and as apathetic as Craven was he didn't intend to harm the sod, he was almost amused by the fact the boy was scared of the duel. He drew his wand form his pocket at Corso's instruction.
He watched the boy for a few moments more before bowing also himself, in a well practiced manor, it was obvious he'd dueled properly before. He weaved his wand through his fingers before casually pointing it at Ian and speaking his chosen hex carefully quietly; after all surprise was important.
"Petrificus Totalus"
--------------------------------------------------------
Upon hearing the door open and close Fawne had shifted her wide gaze from the teacher to the new addition to the class. She recognised Rasaq immediately, although he seemed a little different; she realised he'd been changing his appearance somewhat. Realised she had yet to respond to his smile, she quickly smiled herself in return and lightly waved her hand in greeting before turning back to the teacher. She wasn't quiet sure how impressed he;d be if his class kept getting interrupted.
However he gaze switched abruptly from Logan to Ian when she noticed how much he was shaking. It switched quickly once more when she heard her brothers quiet muttering; it was a trait both had picked up in childhood. The quieter the spell the less likely people would expect the outcome. Her gaze darkened slightly on her brother, it seemed she obviously understood his muttering and thought he was being a little harsh.
Melanie Hunter - December 12, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
*Ian had no idea that the curse was coming until he saw the brilliant stream of light only feet away from him. Before he could even react, he was hit by the curse and frozen. His stiff form fell to the ground with a thud.*
OOC: Sorry, sort of a lame post.
~Mel
Rasaq Jones - December 12, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
Rasaq watched as Ian fell to the ground. He snorted lightly at the boy for not using the protective spell. Rasaq scribbled some things down on the parchment in front of him. It was just random stuff like things he needed to do, what he was thinking, and the names of spells he needed to practice. He took off the bandanna around his forehead to wipe away some sweat on his forehead. There was a bandage above his right eyebrow on his forehead. There was a cut under it that he had got in a fight with his sister's baby's daddy. He turned, looking at Fawne and smiled. It had been quite a while since he had seen a friendly face. His eyes diverted back to the professor though.
Logan Corso - December 12, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
*Logan glanced over at the kid that had recently entered the room when he snickered.* "okay....good try......nice job with the spell, Craven." *He stepped foward and knelt down next to Ian, pulled out his want and muttered the countercurse to revive him.* "Okay....get up and try again." *He murmered.* "It's okay." *Logan straigtened up again* "Okay...notice how Craven made sure to keep the element of suprise. That's important. We'll work on non-verbals later this year. Ian, when you're ready, I want you and Craven to bow and try it all again, if you think you can."
Fawne Sugarmoon - December 13, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)
Craven seemed unamused about the whole situation. And believe it or not the slytherin boy felt a small, very small, pang of sympathy for the small boy he was being told to attack. Though the pang of sympathy was mostly out of his own arrogance.
"Want me to use the same spell?...Sir."
He was weaving his wand through his fingers once more as he dwelled on the non verbal knowledge. His parents had refused to teach him and his sister such things claiming that it was the schools job. And so he and Fawne had learnt to mumble there spells but still produce the same emotion filled effects. A rather useful skill though not exclusive to the pair at all...
--------------------------------------
She had been watching her brother intently, willing him with her eyes not to be a 'cocky jerk' as she had often heard him called. She didn't understand how the pair of them, raised in the same way, ended up so different. However she was willing to let differences slid he wasn't.
"You are being horrid..." Fawne muttered the words in her normal soft tone but at about the same level as Craven's spell had been. Only someone paying attention to her or listing intently would of heard her.
She blinked a few times before realising she could feel someone eyes on herself. She turned slightly to come face to face with Rasaq's gaze. Smiling her normal half smile she gently spoke the words
"I hope you are well" So softly she might have just 'mouthed' them.
Logan Corso - December 13, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
"You really on't have to bother with sir, Craven. Really. And no.....try something else. Use this opertunity to work on your spell repatoire (sp)" *He nodded and backed up again to the same spot, watching the pair of students intently.* "Go when you're ready."
Craven Blackwood - December 15, 2007 12:12 AM (GMT)
OOC: since this is a purely Craven post, figured i post as Craven...
He nodded his head in some form of response though to which of Corso's statements was unclear. He stopped twirling his wand abruptly and began slowly shifting though his mind for a spell, any spell as long as it was an offensive one...He choose the good old classic:
