Title: Lounging
Description: Mei, maybe others later

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 12:39 AM (GMT)
*Logan was sitting in one of the chairs at the table in the center of the room, leaning it back on the back two legs. He had his shins resting on the edge of the table so he could easily keep his ballence. There was a copy of the daily profit that lay open on the table next to his big mug of black coffee. He had his lesson plans for the next two weeks in his hand, and since nobody else was in the room with him, he had his glasses on as well, making notes on the plans with a quill.*

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
The front of a short asian woman was all the could be seen as a mess of parchment and other oddments bustled through the door. Upon closer inspection you could see that the woman herself was the new CoMC professor, Miss Feng, who was dressed in a long deep green colored victorian styled dress. Which if anything made her look like a muggle governess. However the effect was spoiled by the covered cage that was balanced on her hip under her left arm and the wand that was spelling the reams of parchment to hover in her right hand. With a small smile she spelled the parchment onto a side table next to an arm chair and carefully placed the cage down at the side making sure its cover was still in place.

In the mess and the rush of trying to reach the staff room Mei had failed to notice anyone else in the room and so she promptly dropped herself into the arm chair folding her legs underneath herself and grabbing the nearest bit of parchment from her pile and reading through it shortly before sorting it into another pile only to have several sheets fall to the floor without her notice. These believe it or not where her class notes...

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
*As soon as he had heard someone coming down the hall, Logan had ripped the glasses from his face and quickly shoved them into his pocket. He quickly got into a more professional position, resting all four legs of the chair onto the ground, just incase it was one of the inner party family members. However, as the woman entered, he hadn't recognized her. It wasn't untill she had sat down untill he recognized her. It was Mei Fang....they had been friends in school since they were in the same year and class. Logan leaned foward and rested his elbow on the table and his chin in the palm of his hand, a gesture characteristic to him. Logan grinned* "Mei?"

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
She quickly dropped the piece of parchment in her hands when she heard a voice speak her name one hand moving quickly towards her heart in shock. It took her only moments to register that voice and startled amber eyes looked upwards towards her fellow teacher. A bubbly grin spread across her features as she smiled into the face of an old friend.

"Logan? Is that really you?!"

She virtually launched her small frame form the comfy arm chair and towards her friend where she quickly aimed to wrap him in one of her infamous peppy greeting hugs.

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
*Logan laughed and opened his arms, hugging his friend that he hadn't seen in years* "Hey!" *He couldn't believe that he was seeing her here after all this time* "I didn't know you were coming back to teach here?" *He let her go out of the hug so he could talk to her* "How are you? I haven't seen you in years."

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 01:55 AM (GMT)
When he accepted her hug she grasped him tightly as if to prove he was real. It seemed so strange to see Logan again fater such a long time, gods how she missed her old friends. However she soon stepped back herself when he let go of the hug, she dropped lightly onto the edge of the nearest seat a bubbly smile still on her features and she spoke at a rapid brightly toned paced.

"I'm still as chirpy as ever! And i don't think you would have seen me unless you made regular trips to the creatures reserves in Europe!" she laughed colourfully to show her playfulness before launching into speech once more. "I didn't intend to teach here but i did miss this creepy old castle and the job offer was too good to turn down....How about you Logan? Whats your story? How have you been?"

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
*Logan sighed and sat back in his chair, looking on at the girl he had been friends with since age 11.* "Oh you know......same old same old. I went to Italy for a while....spent some time in France.....Then came back here. Couldn't resist. PLus I was sick of all the howlers from my mother telling me I was a bad son for abandoning her." *He smiled, waiting for her to ask the question. The one about how he was since Tommy had died. She had been there when it had happened, and she had been there to watch him unravel at the seams afterwards.*

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
The smile didn't dropped from her face but some of the brightness was lost as she thought about him not really keeping in touch. Her voice was half mock playful and half mock hurt but all Mei.

"You're a big meanie you know that? And probably an awful son. You never did write, even to me! You havent kept properly in touch since...Oh" Her smile dropped abruptly and it took all herself restraint from not blurting the question out. Mei had never been the emotionally sensitive type and it had been hard for her to attempt to help Logan after the 'incident' as she called it.

"How have you been since his death?" the him didn't need a name and just the mention of the event brought a darker mood to the room, she reached forward as if to grasp his hand, or pat his arm or just show some form of human contact and comfort. It was the only thinking Mei could offer, she wasn't great with emotions.

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
*Logan sighed, his smile slipping* "Dealing. It's been hard....but it gets easier as the years go on." *He ran a hand through his hair and then reached out for his coffee. He took a deep breath when he noticed his hand was shaking slightly* "I'm sorry i didn't eep in touch Mei....it was hard...I wasn't really in a stable house for a few years....just sort of drifting."

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
She observed him quietly for a moment; a rather rare feat a quiet Mei that really showed the seriousness of the situation. Finally deciding on a course of action she reached forward towards his shaking hand aiming to grasp it in her own. A small comforting smile was set on her lips and it was apparent that she had matured a little after all.

"We all lost contact Logan, and i worried about you an awful lot but i know your ok now so its fine... I know things where so hard on you and I'm glad you choose to aim for the further. All i can offer you is time and comfort my old friend." Her voice although still its bright tones even seemed more calmed for the situation.

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
*Logan smiled a little* "Yes....I'm doing much better.....I have a stable job....a crappy apartment....I do my own laundy....." *His voice dropped off. He had to take another drink of coffee to hide the grin at his own lie. If she knew him at all she would know that he just went out and bought new stuff when he didn't feel like washing it and that his appartment was a total diaster.*

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
She raised a thin eye brow at his comment about washing. And a small grin spread onto her features. She may have matured a little but she couldn't completely suppress her feisty nature for long. She placed the hand that had been reaching forward on her hip in mock annoyance.

"I take it you'll be visiting my place for dinner often then? We both know you cant cook or clean. Even with magic...I bet the clothes shops love your ongoing custom..." She laughed brightly and it succeeded in bringing the cheer back to her side of the conversation at least.

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
"I was really hoping you would ask." *He said laughing* "For the past few days I've been living off of scallop potatoes my mom made me....and soup...that I made.....but it was really bad." *He sighed* "Do you think you could teach me how to do laundry? because I ruined my favorite shirt last week....and gave up after that.....so I have a lot of new cothes...and no more cash." *He smiled like a kid trying to convince his mom to buy him the puppy and that he would always wash it and brush it and take it out for walks and pay for food.*

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
She looked at him playfully and lent back in her chair before examining her nails like she was bored. All the while her eyes full of mirth.

"And i suppose if i taught you how to wash your clothes you'd be in my debt? humm?" Her she turned her amber gaze from her nails to him directly a bright smile set on her lips. "Whats in it for me? Besides the headache and mess I'll end up with?...Oh and I'll let you have dinner debt free; can't have you starving can i?"

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 03:24 AM (GMT)
"I could....ummmm...." *He paused, thinking. As he thought he leaned back onto the back two legs of the chair again* "Grovel. Only for you would I grovel." *HE lauighed* "And if that's not enough I'd help you grade homework..." *He paused* "Man, I never thought I'd be saying that."

Milo Scone - December 3, 2007 04:58 PM (GMT)
Milo entered the room briskly, rubbing his hands and trying to keep his eyes open. The dark bags under his eyes aged him at least 10 years. He had developed a hunch and several nervous disorders. Being the puppet of Sentinus was not easy - his instinct and conscience were constantly fighting with each other and his body had become the spoils of war.

He stopped and looked at them both before sitting down and starting to shiver.

"Hello my name is Scone. Headmaster Scone. Scone the Headmaster. Scone Scone Scone." He laughed a little then stopped shivering. He continued to mumble inaudibley below his breath.

Logan Corso - December 3, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
*Logan paused a moment before sitting up a little straighter and offering his hand foward to Milo.* "Hello Sir.....Logan Corso. I'd written to you about accepting the open defence against the dark arts teaching post." *He felt guilty for the first time about joining the family just to teach. He tried to push it from his mind* "Can I get you a cup of coffee or something, sir?"

Mei Feng - December 3, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
As soon as the man had announced himself as Scone Mei had followed suit of Logan and sat up a little straighter, choosing to rest her hands in her lap like a lady. And bow her head a little in greeting before returning it to its normal height.

Mei watched Scone curiously, amused by his mumblings and wondering if it was mandatory for the headmasters to have 'quirks.' However her attention was captured quickly by Logan's over use of the word sir and she winked at Logan playfully before mouthing the words 'suck up.' She smiled in a more controlled manner than usual before brightly speaking out her self.

"And I'm Mei Feng Headmaster, you allowed me to transfer over here from the creature reserve to teach Care of Magical Creatures..." In all honesty Mei had gotten the job in much the way Logan had only minus the family involvement. She had wrote to the headmaster looking for a change of scenery and had gotten it.

Logan Corso - December 4, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
*Logan flicked Mei off from under the table, his mouth twitching a little at the corners to keep from laughing. He was still in a mood to laugh from the conversation with her and keeping himself under control was proving to be a problem. He looked like a little immature kid....but it wasn't like he could be sacked by milo anyway...he looked more than a little stressed, and everyone knew it was like Sentinus was the one that was running the school anyway.*

Milo Scone - December 4, 2007 05:50 PM (GMT)
Milo smiled at them both, passing from his daze of stress before. "And I am Milo Scone. I want everyone to call me Milo but when we are in front of students, Call me Headmaster. Orders from up high." He gave a wince then rubbed his hands again, noticed he was doing it and fought to stop.

He gazed at a painting and allowed them to continue there discussion.

Mei Feng - December 5, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
She winked cheekily at Logan, and hopefully the small gesture had gone unnoticed from 'Milo' who now seemed to be staring at a painting. She glanced around the tidy room and quickly noticed the mess she had made at the table but choose to ignore it for now.

"You must be one of the youngest headmasters i have seen, Milo." Although he had spoken to them all informally her bright voice seemed controlled and she didn't seem as feisty, it was obvious now that she had learned to act like this in a work place. After all adults needed jobs, unfortunately and being her normal self didn't get her too far.
