Title: Asprin
Description: Mei

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
*Logan became aware of the fact that he was consious. He was exausted and he couldn't remember much. He could remember bein gin Mei's apartment....and he could remember having his stomach pumped, only because it had happened to him once before and it was a somewhat scaring experience.....and after that, nothing. Every part of his body ached. Logan groaned and forced his eyes open.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Mei had dragged Logan to mungo's not long after he blacked out, and being unable to tell the Medi-Witches and Wizards how much Aspirin he had taken they had pumped his stomach. He'd been out for a while now and considering she hadn't had any sleep even worry hadn't been able to keep her awake.

Because of this she was currently curled up in a transfigured blue arm chair at the side of Logan's bed, her dressing gown crammed behind her obviously having been used as a pillow at some point. She had her head rested on her arms which were rested on the edge of his bed. Her hair tumbilng across her firmly shut Amber eyes as she continued to sleep, not even awoken by his groaning. Though when she was awake Mungo's was going to need to treat Logan for new wounds...

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
*Logan turned his head to look over at Mei. He didn't wanna wake her...but he wanted to know if she was okay* "Mei..." *He said, his voice weak. He was actually suprised how weak and raw his voice was. Logan cleared his throat and tried again* "Mei...." *Logan reached over and lightly touched her arm, once again, suprised by his own weakness. He vageuly noticed how pale his hands were and wondered if his face was pale too.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
Mei, usually a light sleeper, did not take kindly to someone being able to get close enough without waking her up. Right now in the land of half awake she still thought she was at home. With a bit of a groggy movement her hand snapped out and calmed around Logan's wrist, only momentarily as her Amber eyes shot open and she realised where she was. Needless to say her hand dropped rather suddenly and she sat bolt upright. She refused to look at him knowing she wouldn't be able to keep her righteous justice up and instead she stared and the bed sheets. Her eyes narrowed and a pout on her features. Mei was not a morning person.

"You have about five seconds to convince me not to finish the job you seem to have started...You could of died, do you know where we are? Were in Mungo's. I hate it her yet still I'm sat here waiting for you to wake up, why Logan? Why do i even bother?"

Her voice had started off angry but had soon faded to disappointed, Mei didn't give up on people that why she was here. That and Logan was someone she cared for.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 01:29 AM (GMT)
*Logan was silent for a moment. He pulled hi hand back away from her and rested it on the bed* "Mei, I..." *His voice was too raw to speak at normal person volume. Logan cleared his throat again and started again.* "Mei, I'm sorry...I dunno what got into me.." *He wanted a glass of water more than anything else but he didn't dare reach for one. One, Mei would probably kill him for not granting their conversation his full attention, two, he didn't trust his arm to be able to hold it up for long enough without dropping it, and three, mei would probably kill him* "Are you okay?" *He didn't even sound like himself...it was so degrading, laying there helpless in the hospital bed.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
Even his voice was grating up her insides with guilt, he sounded so weak but it was obvious she was of no help. She knew he wasn't well the Medi-Witch had told her several times and then after for good measure she gave Mei a lecture on taking care of herself whilst watching after Logan. Stupid witch. She averted her eyes even further form his form and shook her head in response. No she was not fine, he could have died and she wasn't quiet sure how she would of coped if he had.

"You could have died. Gone, passed away, kicked the bucket. Dead...You're not well and I'm not mentally well, I'm still here aren't i. I really should hurt you, you big meanie" She was more muttering than speaking and now it seemed she was the one not paying full attention. Though upon the word Meanie it was quiet obvious Mei was having an inner battle about whether she should be angry or not.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 01:51 AM (GMT)
"Here......sit down here..." *He said weakly. Logan mustered up all the strength he had and moved himself over in the small bed to allow her some room to sit down or lay down next to him. Logan closed his eyes for a moment, embarassed by how exausted he was* "I'm sorry....I'm just so drained." *He explained in the raw unfamiliar voice.* "I'm sorry."

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
She still refused him eye contact but she did notice the strained movements he took to move over on the bed. She sighed and shook her head lightly as if giving up on the anger that had already dissipated. Standing up from the chair she walked over to the top of the bed and the beside table; she had heard the raw-ness in his voice and as much as she was sure he deserved it she couldn't let friends suffer. She poured a glass of water before lightly climbing onto the bed in the allotted space. She was that short however she didn't really need much of it. Grabbing the glass of water she held it towards him, and although sat next to him she didn't look Logan in the eye.

"You had better be sorry, I'd hurt you if saving you hadn't looked so painful...Do you need a drink?" her voice was tired and dull, its bright tones gone and the disappointed and saddened ones replacing them.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
*Logan tried to say yes, he did need a drink, but the sounds that came out was terrible. So he just stuck with nodding his head. Logan sat up slightly and took the glass with two hands and slowly brought it to his lips, closing his eyes as he gradually downed the whole glass* "Thanks..." *He whispered. Logan looked up and saw that she wasn't looking him...still. He reached out and weakly tried to turn her head towrds him* "Hey......I'm sorry I dragged you into this." *He whispered, his tired brown eyes locked on hers.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 02:25 AM (GMT)
She allowed him to turn her head, though if only to give him the idea of some strength. It hurt to see him there in the hospital bed. However her eyes were cast downwards, she wasn't mad at him. She just couldn't look at him right now; after all it was partly her fault to she'd let him take the first 2 aspirin.

"Don' be, I'd be more upset if you were dying and i couldn't help...You look really pale Logan..."

She blindly reached her small hand out for the glass and managed to clasp it, placing it back on the beside table where it was less likely to be broken.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
*Logan absently brought a hand up to his face and ran a hand over it, as if that would cure his paleness. He felt when was shaping up to be a 5 o'clock shadow, but it's not like he could do anything about it now* "Yeah, I believe it..." *He coughed before he could continue. Taking made his throat feel worse, but he wasn't going to just just not to mei after what he did* "I'm not feeling too great." *He admitted*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
She leaned further back on the pillows, she looked tired and worried and he looked really ill. She listened to his voice once more and she knew there and then she just wanted to help him, but what was she meant to do. She was a carer of animals not people.

"What a pair huh? We meet up again and you almost die...Maybe its you who can do better for a best friend." Although she had blown that comment off when he said it, it still hurt a little. "Need some more water? A Medi-Witch" It broke her to see him helpless so god knows what it did to him.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
*He did need water. And a medi-witch, but he wasn't going to let her get away with saying something like that* "mei." *He started, but was then seized by another coughing fit. When it had subsided, he continued* "You're the best friend I could ever hope for. Most people wouldn't have gone to the trouble to stay here and make sure I was okay. Hell, I'm sure there's a handfull of 'friends' that would have just let me die on their floor. You've always been there for me...and Tommy too, when he was alive." *He started coughing again and was unable to continue. All he could do was cover himouth with his hand and look at her appologetically*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
Her eyes had gone watery at his little speech, she was sure neither of them would be better off without the other but it was nice to here he thought the same. When he started coughing she immedatly dove for the water and poured another glass, hoping to clam his coughs. She put the water glass near his lips whilst her other hand patted him on the back.

"I love you too you big lump, but you have to breathe okay?...Want me to press the button thing for the Medi-Witch?" she paused as if waiting of his reply before muttering something that sounded much like I'd hug you but you know.' and something about 'well i wasn't going to leave you here was i?;

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
*The water elped tremendeliously. He reached up and took the glass from her while still drinking it. After drinking about 3/4th of it, he handed it back to her.* "No, don't call the medi-witch....she'll tell me to shut up and go to bed." *Despite his voice he still maganged to whine slightly and sound like a little kid complaining about his mother. It was his half hearted attempt to make her laugh, or at last smile.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
She shook her head in a amused manner and there was a small quirk of her lips but no smile. Not yet, after all she was still worried for him. Though she had been told he'd make a full recovery. Even though he had stopped coughing she continued to rub a circle on his back as she fiddled with the glass in the other hand.

"Maybe she would but if would make you better you would do it...Or else." Her voice was a little lighter and not angry this time. "Just ask if you need something, no choking okay?"

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
*Logan nodded* "Okay." *He sighed and let his eyes slide shut for a few moments* "If it would make you feel better..." *He paused to take in a slow breath; if he would breath in too fast it would make him cough* "...You could call the medi-witch. If you want." *He really didn't want her to, but it wasn't up to him. She was his care giver npw, according to the chart on the wall. Logan reached out a hand and slid it across the back of her shoulders and pulled her close to him in a comforting gesture that made him feel a little better, even if it had been intended to comfort her*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Mei seemed to be verging half and half on whether she should call the Medi-witch or not. She hadn't said to call her when he was awake and he was OK aside from the coughing and the pale skin and of course the general lack of health. Her musing were cut short when his arm pulled her close. With one of her arms already resting on his back she found in quiet easy to loop the other round his front and hug his waist lightly, easily fitting against his taller frame. Her head was lent lightly against his shoulder like he was made of glass, she was still worried about him of course.

"They made me fill in lots of rubbish to get you in here you know..." she yawned before continuing. "The Medi-witch can wait a little?" she wasn't sure if she was meant to call her or not, so what not let the patient choose?

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
"I'd much rather hang out with you then some smelly old medi-witch." *He said softly, his eles closed, and a small smile on his face. He was glad that they had reached some sort of silent agreement or truce or forgiveness, of which she had proved by hugging him back* "What do you mean you had to fill in a lot of stuff?" *He asked, not wanting to fall asleep, even if he could harly keep his eyes open. Logan hoped that her talking would keep him awake.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 03:56 AM (GMT)
Mei still had her eyes open, and was staring at Logan's closed ones. If he feel asleep she'd move back to the chair and wait for the Medi-Witch. They were talking again now so all was beginning to heal. She buried her head deeper into her shoulder, but still a light touch since she still thought him fragile.

"Just some rubbish about you, why I'm your care giver. Blah, Blah, Blah. All that rubbish, i took me forever, luckily i remember your birthday" A soft single giggle escaped her lips...

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
"That would have been bad....if you didn't remember my birthday." *He sighed and forced his eyes open for a moment to look at Mei. However, that didn't last very long and they fluttered shut again* "Tell me what happened last night." *He asked quietly, his mood shifting. Even though his eyes were closed, it was obvious that he was a little hesitant about brinking it up.*

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 04:13 AM (GMT)
Mei tensed slightly but resisted the urge to grip him tighter too. After all he was real and still there. She shut her eyes to hid any reaction he might pick up from them and spoke as if she was talking to air, avoid emotional connections with words that's what her mother had once said.

"Well aside form you taking the first two aspirin and arguing with me you mean? Well after you laid down on the couch for the second time i went to fetch you a drink, when i got back you were burning up and being odd. You stood up and blacked out, i brought you here in a panic and wallah." she didn't mention any details, like how she'd watch him being treated and nearly threw up herself, and how she'd splinced her left hip when she apparated, mungos had sorted that anyway, or how she thinks he took the rest of the aspirin though shes not sure...

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
"They um.....pumped my stomach, right?" *He asked quietly* "I don't remember much, but I think I remember that....and that's really not something that you forget about, no matter what." *He explained, all jokes aside. Logan sighed* "When happened after that? Did they bring me up here to sleep, or question you.....what happened?"

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
She still had her eyes closed like speaking to the dark made it better, but he was intentionally mentioning details she'd missed out. She couldn't imagine what remembering having your stomach pumped was like, she's almost been sick at he sight of it.

"They finished treating you and then brought you to the open ward, you've been here asleep since. I had to fill some rubbish out and answer a few things but i told them i didn't know much...I'm sorry you remember it. They said you were out of it."

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
"No, I remember it. Once it starts to happen you come 'out of it' pretty damn fast." *He squeezed her a little, hoping that he wasn't freaking her out* "I'll be fin e in a few days, I think....remember when I had to have my stomach pumped before?" *He asked, trying, and failing, to repress a shudder* "I tihk this was a lot worse."

Mei Feng - December 15, 2007 04:43 AM (GMT)
She returned the squeeze though gentler, still treating him like pot. She attempted to grin though it was strained; the image of before and now attempting to compare themselves.

"Both times are gross and i have no intention of trying it ever...this time was scarier... Besides the first time i was only visiting this time I'm staying till you're out of here." she choose not to elaborate on why it was scarier this time, she figured he might understand that it was because he looked so much stronger and it was scary to see him weaker.

Logan Corso - December 15, 2007 04:53 AM (GMT)
"Thanks Mei..." *He mumbled, curling up into more of a ball and relaxing* "I'm glad you're here with me." *He yawned and was about to drift off to sleep when a thought occured to him* "Mei, did they ask you about contacting my mother?" *He was fearing the worst.....but praying she hadn't been notified*

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
She paused, noticeably, she wasn't too sure herself. They'd asked her lots of silly questions and in a bit of a state she'd just answered them absent minded-ly. At one point they had even got it in their heads that they were direct siblings, despite that fact she was clearly asian and looks nothing like Logan. She supposed she really should pay attention to what she was answering but she had been worried.

"Eh. Maybe...I don't know if i gave them any details on good old Mama Corso though..."

Logan Corso - December 16, 2007 08:25 PM (GMT)
"Nooooooo...." *He cried, rolling over and groaning into his pillow* "I don't want her here......She's gonna yell at me..." *He turned his head and looked over at her* "Why couldn't you just lie and say she died or something?"

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)
Mei grumbled and let go of her hugging grip on Logan as he moved. She sat up slightly and picked at the hem of her pajama shorts.

"I told them whatever popped into my head first when the asked questions, i was worried you big jerk. I mean really i went form being you sister, to your girl friend, to your guardian despite the fact your older and at one point i was your mum, do not ask....You'd think they'd have a little more sense that to question a distraught friend. If it makes you feel any better if she turns up I'll swear and she can scold me for still being like a boy and you can run?" Mei giggled at the absurdity of her mini rant, realising just how much waffle she had interjected at lighting speed. But she choose not to re elaborate at a normal pace.

Logan Corso - December 16, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
"He won't be running anywhere for a long time."

*Logan turned to see a takk brunette woman who was very thin and wearing a very feminine dress leaning in the doorway. Logan threw Mei a look before sitting up and croaking* "Hey mom..."

"You sounds terrible baby....What happened?" *She too threw Mei a look, as if it was her fault her baby logan was in the scary hospital.*

"Nothing, I'm fine."

*There was a knock on the open door and two people entered. A young blonde girl who was obviously a medi-witch with a midleaged pale man who was identifiable as a healer from pysch by the badge on his robes.*

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
Mei ground and pulled the cover up over her head. Brilliant just brilliant, it was here. And so was the Mungo's staff. Why did this place have anti apparating fields again? Sighing she placed the cover back down in its original location before sitting up straighter and plastering an entirely false smile on her face.

"Ms. Corso how nice to see you after so long. I assure you Logan is fine, i brought him here as a precaution." She threw Logan a returned look similar to the one he gave her.

The Medi-Witch seemed to deem this as the time to bustle her way in and she headed over to Logan's beside, grabbing his charts form the bed and flicking her wand in complicated motions as if checking something, she stopped to speak.

"And How is Logan feeling deary? You throat hurts yes? I can get a potion for that. Oh and dear he needs his rest, you really shouldn't be sat on his bed."

Mei scowled but didn't move, nor did she need to since the older looking man also decided to add his input.

"Since you're awake now fellow i though it would be wonderful for use to discuss this little mishap? No? It is about the best time of day for discussion you know."

Logan Corso - December 16, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
*Logan nodded at the medi-witch when she asked him if his throat hurt. However, his attention was pulled back to the old guy when he talked* "Um, well, what happened..." *He started to explain, but was, of course, interrupted by his mother.*

"What exactly happened here?" *She asked the healer directly*

"Mom, I was going to tell him...." *His patience was already starting to drain*

"Well, I didn't ask you." *She said curtly before turning back to the healer expectantly, a large smile plastered on her face*

*Logan tried to protest, but started coughing again and couldn't speak*

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
OOC: i assume shes addressing the Medi-witch not the Psych-wizard.

The healer didn't even flinch under the hard tones addressed to her, she just smiled absently and replaced her wand back into her pocket before tucking the charts under her arm and extending a hand towards Miss Corso.

"My apologise miss, I'm your sons healer, but i do think he wanted to tell you himself. in his state its best to let him express his own feelings. If you wish i can go through the details later?"

The Psych-wizard seemed un-bothered by the amount of snapping and hostility growing in the room and had taken residence in Mei's abandoned chair, he was looking at Logan expectantly ignoring the interruption, even when he began to cough he didn't react. He almost looked like he'd gone to sleep with his eyes open.

Mei was the first to jump to action when he began to cough, for the obvious reason she was closest. She jumped up to a kneeling potion and began to rub his back in what she hoped was a helping manner. However she didn't get much chance to do anything else because a blonde blur dashed to his other side with her hand grasped around her a potion bottle.

"Open wide dear." She pressed the bottle towards his lips and waited for him to either drink it himself or she would make him drink it. It was a healing tonic for his throat.

Logan Corso - December 16, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
*Logan shied away from the bottle out of shock of having someone so close to his face However after a moment he reached out and took the blottle. It tasted terrible. But he drank it anyway. His throat felt better almost immediatly.* "Thank you." *He murmered, smiling at the medi witch, trying to charm her into being on his side.*

"All that happened was that I had a headache, and I took some asprin." *Technically he wasn't lying.. It was just more than some asprin.*

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
Mei did extremely well not to make a comment on the amount of nor the extent of 'that's it' she kept her face perfectly polite and nodded her head in agreeance with her friend. Hoping he wasn't going to kill her when everyone was gone, she was trying not to speak in the hope of avoiding notice.

However the Psych-wizard obviously wasn't as astute, or un aware, as it previously seemed as he spoke up. Rather loudly in a strange tone of voice
"Now, now my boy, it was more than a few. Miss. Feng says you were burning a fever something like a dragon's when she found you. We are here to help lad so speak up."

Mei groaned and slapped her forehead, though she said nothing to anyone and instead choose to close her eyes as if trying to block the world out. She left her hand rubbing small circles on Logan's back, a small show of support if he needed it. All he had to do was signal.

The Medi-witch nodded her head in agreeing with the wizard and snatched the potion bottle backwards. Drawing a quill from the same pocket as her wand and beginning to write something on his charts before smiling brightly at the other three people in the room.

Logan Corso - December 16, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
"Now, Logan, just tell them the truth......" *His mother said firmly*

"Well, I accidentally took too many." *He said impatiently.* "The dosage was much higher than the asprin that I keep in my own house. And I took too many. It was an aaccident." *He looked over at Mei and nodded* "What else would I have been trying to do?" *He said, trying to sound as innocent as he could.*

Mei Feng - December 16, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
She nodded her head agreeing totally. Choosing her next words carefully just in case the wrong ones would start off all the yelling once more.

"Its true, i didn't realise how many he'd taken. I mean i wasn't in the room at the time, that's why it took me so long to bring him here."

the Psych-Wizard seemed to nod his head as Logan spoke but raised a sceptical eyebrow when he finished.
"All the same lad id like to see you when the air is a little thicker."

The Medi-witch sighed and replaced the chart on the end of Logans bed, she looked impatient and the type of person always bustling around.
"He means alone deary."

Logan Corso - December 17, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
"Oh well......I'd be happy to speak to you alone sir, but....I'd prefer that Mei be here with me for now.....I'm just very drained and exausted....phyiscally and mentally..." *He was laying it on thicker and heavier as he went. He knew that as soon as they were alone, there was a good chance he and Mei would laugh about it*

Fawne Sugarmoon - December 17, 2007 03:36 AM (GMT)
The Medi-Witch nodded her head and glanced at her watch pointedly before tutting and pocketing the many items she'd been using.

"Sorry dears but i have another patient to see. Visiting hours are over soon, Logan needs his rest. Miss Feng may stay since she is legally allowed to do so but i will request you let him rest." Her voiced cooed Logan's name like once would speak to a child. And she gestured to the charts when she said legally, since Mei had filled in the sheets she was responsible for him. She didn't wait for a response before marching back out of the door she came from.
"Shout me if you need my dears."

Mei decided to continue Logan's act further by running a hand through his hair, like patting his head, in a comforting manner. Like one would often do to get a child to sleep. Of course she still had to be knelt to do so since he was so much taller than her.

The Psych-Wizard however seemed less inclined to leave and was still sat in the chair, as if waiting for his mother to leave so he could talk to Logan.

"Hum. I must say you're very acute for your state. Lovely woman isn't she? Rose i mean, the medi-witch. Very mothering, i suppose its in her psych..."

OOC: Ugh pretend i remember to switch accounts lol.
