Title: Stalking Starlight
Description: Open!
Julia Kanavagh - December 29, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
Julia wandered up the long flight of stairs to the top of the astronomy tower. Her gaze traveled around the circular room in one sweep. She could see no one. Her body visibly relaxed, and she let out a sigh of relief. On all sides the moon shown in, it's light giving everything inside a silvery glow. Julia walked over to the one of the windows.
The moon was large but not quite full. It reminded Julia of a broken button she had found on the floor of her dorm earlier that day. The stars twinkled around the shining orb, their beauty not diminished by the moons brighter light.
One of Julia's long fingered hands was splayed out on the window's cold surface as her face leaned closer to look down at the grounds. The lake showed her a perfect reflection of the sky above, as the Forbidden Forest was hidden darkness in it‘s wake. The rest of Hogwarts stretched below her, like one of the toy houses she had so wanted when she was younger.

ooc: i'm gonna pretend like this takes place after the battle and all so I can RP with Dorien.
ic:
*It was the first night that Dorien had back in the castle after his long hiatus in captivity at the Family headquarters. He had forgotten how much he missed the place untill he was actually back there. It was like his home. So he decided that once it was late enough and everyone was asleep he would venture up to the astronomy tower to savor the view of the grounds at night. But when he got there, he discovered that not everyone had gone to bed. There was someone already there. Even better. There would be someone to talk to. Doien slipped in silently and leaned against the back wall of the tower. The wind blew through his hair and he frowned at the fact that it felt cold. It didn't look natural that he wasn't wearing a coat. It could raise suspicion. He hadn't thought that anyone would have been up here after all. it didn't matter. maybe she wouldn't notice.* "Nice evening, isn't it?"
Julia Kanavagh - December 29, 2007 11:39 PM (GMT)
OOC: That is perfectly fine with me.
IC: Julia sighed as she drew her eyes away from the sight below to the person that had spoken. She eyed him up and down and decided it wouldn't hurt to speak.
"Yes, it is, especially from up here," she replied looking over her shoulder at the window.
When Julia turned back she noticed he wasn't wearing a coat and almost asked why, but instead she just raised a questioning eyebrow. The moon shone dierctly behind her, outlining her figure but leaving her face in shadow.

*Dorien shrugged off the wall and stepped foward into the moonlight to look over the edge. Just as he did, it occured to him that his skin didn't look normal in moonlight. It was so pale that it sort of reflected the light. He mentally smacked himself again for forgetting his coat in the dorm* "I love coming up here at night. I used to come up here all the time."
Julia Kanavagh - December 29, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
Julia joined him at the edge, noticing his skin seemed odd maybe too pale. She almost commented on that as well, but then decided he must be someone that just didn't go out in the sunlight much. Yet, something seemed to be screaming at her from the back of her mind that she just couldn't place. It was something about the boy next to her. She shook her head slightly, but whatever it was had decided that i wasn't going to come out from it's hiding place.
"Personally, it is my favorite place in the castle," Julia replied, leaning against the wall, and letting her nearly black curls to cascade over one shoulder.

"You know..." *He pulled his gaze from the grounds below him to focus on her* "I believe you're the only person that I've met that's said that about the astronomy tower, other than myself.." *He took a half step back from the edge and slid his hands into his pockets so they wouldn't shake hands when she introduced herself. His hands were unnatturally cold and it could tip her off. as to what he was* "I'm Dorien by the way."
Julia Kanavagh - December 30, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
Julia saw him step away from the wall and tensed for a moment, wondering what he would do. When all he did was introduce himself, one of her rare smiles appeared on her face. His hands had gone to his pockets rather than extending the to shake, but Julia let it slide. The boy, Dorian, probably was just cold. Julia straightened from the wall and turned to face him better.
"Enchanted to meet you. I'm Julia," she replied.
