Title: Transfiguration

Lycs Anima - January 6, 2008 11:18 AM (GMT)
Lycs walked into the classroom and glanced around. He was back at Hogwarts- home. Him and his pure blood mania would rule this room. Yes, he was a pure blood fanatic- he always had been. Even as a student he had hated all but those of good blood. All was about the blood.

The room was not satisfactory, it needed to be perfect. His class would be organised by blood. With a flick of his wand the furniture reorganised itself. The perfect desks whisked to the back, the desks in the worst condition to the front and those that were neither perfect nor terrible lay in the middle of the room. he smirked, that was better.

The man ran a hand through his long, dark hair and then down his perfect, smooth-skinned cheek. Eyes that seemed to be almost pure black shone in the light which flooded through the windows. At the front of the classroom was a much larger desk than the others, in a condition as if it were brand new and next to it a blackboard with the word 'Transfiguration' scrawled across it.

Happy his room was ready he walked out of the room to see his pupils waiting outside. In his hand he now held a list of names, with blood purity wrote next to it.

Felicity Sanders - January 6, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
Felicity was not one for waits, that much could be said about her. Her natural impatience only escalated as she waited to see the new Transfiguration teacher. She listened to her classmates speak as they stood outside the classroom, hoping for a juicy tidbit of information, but she was distracted when he finally did open the door. For a moment, she simply took him in, finally deciding that he gave her the same creepy feeling as Harshing. However, as previously mentioned - she was not one for waits.

She strode up confidently, leaving her classmates to watch.

"Felicity Sanders," she said confidently, "Pleased to meet you, sir."

Felicity wasn't scared, but then, she had no reason to think that she should be. Luckily for her, she was pureblooded, although the thought hadn't really flickered across her mind at all when she stepped forward. She was merely anxious to get into class and see what this teacher was all about. Little did she know that he was all about the list that was currently in his hand.

Hey, at least she got a nice desk.

Melanie Hunter - January 6, 2008 05:44 PM (GMT)
*Alex and Ian had walked to class together, so they were both there at the same time. It could not be more obvious that neither of them wanted to be there. Mel was in the hospital and was extremely sick, but she had been getting better so they were forced to return to school. The had no idea what to expect when they came in, but Alex knew that if he even tried to give them a hard time he would walk out. They were half-bloods and probably had nothing to worry about.

Ian had been assigned the task of collecting Mel's work. It was hard because all of the teachers were trying to be sympathetic but at the same time nosey as h*ll. He walked up to the teacher.*

Ian:"Hello Professor. My sister is in St. Mungo's right now, so she can't be here. Is there any homework you need me to give her?" *he asked. He waited for the long list of questions about why she was in the hospital.*

*Azalea waltzed into the classroom with a smile on her face. She was pureblood and had nothing to worry about.*

Lea:"Good morning, sir." *she greeted kindly*

*Aiden entered the classroom and looked around. He had heard that there was a new teacher, and that was something he was generally wary about. You never knew what kind of lunatic you would get anymore. The professor seemed to be busy, so he didn't bother greeting him. He instead took a seat at the good desks in the back of the room, where he didn't belong at all. He was muggleborn.*

Lycs Anima - January 7, 2008 04:59 PM (GMT)
He looked sternly down the list for a second and then smiled, not exactly pleasantly, at the class. The, he found that he did not need to read the names out, as students came up and greeted him. The first of these was a Hufflepuff girl who seemed to be bursting with confidence. He scanned her face, taking in the features, and looked for her name on the list- Felicity Sanders, pureblood was clearly wrote next to the name. His smile turned pleasant now, she fit with his standards. "Felicity, right?" he laughed. "Nice to meet you, too, take a seat at the back of the room."

He had barely sent her in when two boys, who he looked down to see the names of Alex and Ian. The boys were half-blood. He did not favour them, but he did not despise them as he did muggle-borns. In fact, he could not wait to see the muggleborns. He had heard of the girl, Mel, who was in Mungos, and when Ian spoke his face was neutral.

"You are to tell her what we have done, and ask her to practice, I will be testing her on everything we have done when she returns." He smiled. "You and Alex can take your seats in the middle of the classroom." he said calmly.

Another girl came up. "Good morning," he said looking down the list, "Aazalea, right? You can take a seat at the back of the room."

While he had been talking he had only focused on those that spoke to him. He walked in, the others would be told where to sit when they arrived. He glanced around and noticed a boy at the back of the room, a boy he had not sent there. he walked menacingly between the desks and leant on the new boy's, the list, which was clenched in his right hand, clearly visible as he did so.

He looked at the paper, and then to the boy, before glancing at the paper again. "Hello, Aiden." he said coldly. "Were you told to sit here?" He had a look in his eye, much like that Harshing got when he was annoyed. "No, I did not think so. Kindly move yourself from this desk to one on the front row, where I can keep an eye on you."

He just wanted the boy to argue, punishment was his favourite thing when it came to muggle-borns, and this boy had been asking for trouble already.

Melanie Hunter - January 7, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)

Ian:"Thank you." *he replied kindly before exchanging a glance with Alex. The professor was semi-assigning seats? It would've been normal if he would have said 'sit in the third seat in the second row', but he was designating a general area instead. Alex shrugged and did what he was told, lazily sitting down in one of the seats in the middle. He hated the middle, he much preferred the solitude of the back. Here he felt like everyone was watching him. Ian looked around at where the other students had been seated and tried to take in the situation.

Gryffindors in the middle, Ravenclaws in front, Hufflepuffs in back? No, then the Slytherins wouldn't have a place. It didn't make sense. He sat next to his brother for the first time in a very long time. He felt like something suspicious was happening.

Azalea obeyed, but wasn't happy about the order. She very much preferred to sit in the front. She could really get involved in the class then. She sat in the back, not questioning the demand from Professor Anima.

Aiden looked up at Professor Anima with a look of confusion upon his face. Keep an eye on him? He wasn't a bad student at all, why would he need to be in the front? He turned to look at Felicity, giving her a questioning look. She was more likely to forced to sit in the front than he....*

Aiden:"What? Why?" *he asked, grabbing his books despite questioning the order. He fully intended on obeying, he just wanted to know why.*

Fawne Sugarmoon - January 7, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
Fawne wandered into the classroom with the last of the students. She looked around curiously at the seating arrangements. They seemed to be in some order but it wasn't house and it wasn't age or gender. She blinked and looked around once more before finally admitting silently she didn't have a clue where to sit. She wanted to clutch at the rainbow beads around her neck but they were hung under her shirt and out of view; according to the new school rules. Being a pureblood would not help her escape the rules unfortunately.

She wandered over to the professor who seemed to be yelling at a boy, choosing to stand slightly to the side waiting for the new teacher to finish speaking. She spoke in her normal tones though hints of extra politeness laced them.

"Delightful Day to you Professor...Perhaps you could tell me where i should sit."

-------------------------------------------------------

Craven had wandered in shortly before his blood traitor sister, aka Fawne. He had been trying to avoid her for days but unfortunately they had to share classes and Merlin knows what they would do during the summer holidays; having to live under the same roof and all. He looked exceptionally neat lately, compared to his rather laid back loner attitude. Almost as if he was sticking to the rules strictly in hopes to gain back his wounded pride. The Family's end had been a big hit to him. Although he still had his pureblood reputation to fall back onto. Thankfully.

Craven choose not to walked over to the teacher and instead hovered near the seats at the back of the room; where he preferred to sit. Waiting for instruction.

Finnigan Tatupu - January 7, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
Finn heard the words of the Professor. He didn't know his father, so he had no idea of his blood status. His mother was half... As for his father... "Tatupu," Finn said, "Finn, Tatupu. Pleased to meet you..." Finn awaited instruction as to where to sit.

Felicity Sanders - January 8, 2008 07:38 AM (GMT)
Felicity grinned at Aiden when he took a seat near her. She thought the new professor had been pleasant enough, she was just trying to figure out how the room was arranged. The professor walked up toward Aiden and she sneaked a look at the list in his hands. A feeling of horror rose within her to the point where she began to feel sick to her stomach. Bile rose in her throat and she was absolutely revolted as students were directed to their seats, it seemed, not based on age, or gender, or their names - but by blood. As if in a dream she heard the professor reprimanding Aiden, and saw his questioning look.

"No," she said, standing up so quickly she knocked her book off her desk, "No, Aiden, you- Professor, I'll sit up front, let him stay back here."

She was trembling a bit, but not out of fear. She was feeling angry. Angry that Aiden, who was so much of a better student than she, should be forced to sit up front and treated as inferior simply because of his blood. Angry that she had so willingly followed the teacher's instructions without bothering to wonder why she was assigned a good desk. Most of all, she was angry that this teacher had the nerve to arrange his class in such a way. Although fear would enter her mind shortly, at the moment she didn't care if she got reprimanded, if she got a detention, if she had to write an essay until her hand fell off. Aiden didn't deserve this at all - none of the Muggleborns or half-bloods did. And she still felt as if she might throw up.

Lycs Anima - January 8, 2008 04:50 PM (GMT)
He stared at the boy, poison in his eyes even more prodominent than before. "QUESTIONING ME?" he roared, slamming his hand down hard on the desk. "Get to the front and I will see you in detention tommorrow night." his voice had turned from hot and fiery to cold and icy, and he pointed to the front, taking a deep breath and looking around as a gryffindor girl spoke with him.

He smiled at her, for he had taken note of this image earlier when composing the list- she had a different, dreamy look around her which made her stand out. "Fawne, take a seat at the back of the class, where you belong." he said, turning to the girl who had decided to argue with him about Aiden. "You will join us in detention tommorrow night, then?" he asked, it was a warning, but she could some if she liked.

He turned to the other boy, Craven- a pureblood who had the air of a loner around him. "Take a seat then, Craven." he said, signalling the nice seats at the back of the room.

Finally, Finn entered and Scone cast him a critical look. He wasn't muggle-born, nor was he pure, but he still wasn't a liked boy- a traitor to his house. "Middle, Tatupa." he said coldly. perhaps it would be noticed he resorted to surnames with this boy, but he didn't care- he was a traitor worse than any other.

Melanie Hunter - January 8, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
*Aiden was about to fight back with the teacher for giving him a completely pointless detention when the realization hit him. Felicity was in the back, the good desks, she was pureblood. Craven joined her- he screamed pureblood even though Aiden didn't know him well. In the middle were the two Hunter boys. Aiden knew their sister since they were in the same year. They were half-bloods. He was in the front. The only one. He was the muggleborn. They were the practically destroyed desks.*

Aiden:"Felicity, just do what he tells you, okay?" *he started walking to the front. On the way, he decided to mention something to the professor.* "I can tell you're really going to hate me." *Pureblood mania generally came with a hate of anyone gay, too. This teacher would want to kill him by the end of the year. It was a shame...he was excellent at Transfiguration. He sat down in the first seat of the first row before looking back at Felicity again, to make sure she wasn't doing something that would get both of them in humongous amounts of trouble.*

*Ian still hadn't realized what was going on since he didn't really know any of the other students. He was even more confused when people started getting upset about it. Alex had deciphered it just from watching the Professor. He looked at a list. Whatever was on that list determined whether or not he liked them and where they sat. It was clear what Professor Anima's intentions were.*

*Lea had understood what Lycs was doing fairly quickly. She, like Alex, didn't say anything about it, but not because she didn't feel like talking, but it was how she was raised; her parents were a part of the pureblood mania as well.*

Lycs smirked when he saw the boy obviosuly wanting to argue but keeping his smart comments to himself. It seemed he was already learning his lesson, which was good. he even warned the silly girl who'd backed him up to keep quiet. He nodded. "That's better, Aiden." he said.

The boy spoke to him on the way past. "Hate's a strong word, I'll just really, really, really not like you." he corrected the mudblood, turning his back to stride to the front of the room where he turned around to face the class.

"Welcome to transfiguration. Now we are all settled down we shall start. I don't know where everyone has got to in this subject, but I teach to a gih standard. Now, maybe you will fill me in, Azalea."

Fawne Sugarmoon - January 9, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
She didn't flinch when he yelled at the student, despite being stood so close. In fact she didn't even react; having not caught onto why he was yelling. She nodded her head politely in thanks before wandering aimlessly over to a desk at the back of the room, noticing they seemed to be in better condition. Fawne sat down in the seat and stared into space seeming to ignore the Drama; she was not aware that it was about blood purity and seating plans. She just assumed the Ravenclaw Boy had done something to upset the professors. After all ignorance is bliss.

--------------------------------------

Craven bowed his head slightly in both greeting and acknowledgement of the request. He would sit where ever the professors told him to; he hoped that by following school rules closely and supporting his house fully he could find a new purpose. He choose to sit at a desk as far away form his sister and non Slytherins as possible. Choosing to sit on the very back row.

Felicity Sanders - January 10, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
Felicity's eyes were blazing when the teacher told her she would have to go to detention - she opened her mouth to tell him exactly what she thought of him when Aiden interrupted. She still wasn't sure whether or not she was going to listen, but she stood, almost frozen, as she watched Aiden move to the front of the room. She slowly sank back down into her seat and picked up her book, and the anger which had been pumping through her veins subsided to give way to something else.

She found her vision blurred with tears of hatred and injustice, but she didn't let them fall. Instead, she pretended to be mildly interested in her book, her brain all the while screaming It's not fair, it's not fair, it's not fair. But even though she refused to look at Aiden, he was the only one she would have listened to. She felt almost angry at him - she didn't know if it was because he had told her to be quiet, which she knew she had needed to do all along, or if it was because she just could not stand to see him treated that way. She assumed it was a little of both.

She looked up at the teacher with mutiny in her eyes, sending him the most icy vibes she could manage, but she knew it would probably make no difference. She really did still have half a mind to march up front and sit down next to Aiden, but she could feel his gaze on her and knew he was watching and waiting for her to do the stupid something he knew she was thinking of. So she sat quietly and was as good as she could muster, glaring openly at the Professor as he spoke.

Melanie Hunter - January 11, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
*Lea looked a bit surprised when she was called upon to share what they had learned. She wasn't a very good example, she was a first year.*
Lea:"This year we have been working on transforming animals into certain items- the animal and object depending on our skill level and year. We have also worked on turning wood chips into paper and other things of that nature."

*Alex was staring off into space, not paying attention as usual. He didn't care about what they had already learned because he knew it. Plus if some pureblood maniac was the professor he really didn't want to learn from them. It was completely ridiculous.*

*Ian was still getting over the injustice of what the professor was doing as Azalea spoke. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked almost angry. Who did this professor think he was? If he failed the Ravenclaw boy just because he was a muggleborn....*

*Aiden glanced back at Lea when she spoke. Tristan had mentioned a first year he had met- one who was completely brainwashed by her parents. She was a know-it-all, a Hufflepuff, and almost too proper. This girl was definitely her. He listened to what she had to say, interested by this bizarre girl.*

Rivver Skellfather - January 12, 2008 04:47 PM (GMT)
Rivver had been placed at the back of the room. her mind clicked immediately. Blood order. Genius if not a little psychotic. He observed the professor with an open mind, her mental cogs working out what this man was trying to accomplish and the origin of his prejudice. She took out her writing equipment and her wand and assembled it to perfection on her desk. She neatly placed her hands on her parchment and watched and absorbed every word he said. This man was clever, as a Ravenclaw she had the mind capacity to simply accept what was going on as law. The mudbloods were filthy....

She cast a horrid look at Aiden.

...The purebloods were Gods. She shuffled in her seat and smiled, having memorised most of the Transfiguration books she was prepared to answer most questions.
