The sun was on it was down and there was a low light over the entire grounds. Lucas was down by the lake, dressed in his normal cloths, shirt, t-shirt and jeans. Luca walked up to a spot on the grass right near the lake and lay down. He had only been back at Hogwarts for about an hour.

Lucas's happiest memories of Hogwarts were here at the lake, so it was natural that it was the first place that he would come and visit. Taking off his sun glasses he lay them down next to him with his phone and wallet and closed his eyes, and started to remeniss..

Jenna took the familiar down to the lake. She usually spent most of her evenings wandering along the shore of the lake, it was usually really peaceful which made it easier to sort her thoughts at the end of the day. The sun was on it's way down, painting the sky an array of colors. It was her favorite time of day, and a perfect time for a walk, despite the biting cold.

Jenna spooted someone laying down by the lake a little further down, she paused, wondering if she should go make conversation or if she just keep going on her way. THe former won the debate and she made her way over to him. The closer she got she realized that she didn't really know who he was. Once she reached him she said, "Hello. Nice day out isn't it?"

Lucas started to drift off, his mind slowly winding down, about to fall asleep as he heard a voice of a girl to his left, she was very polite in her question, therefor Lucas felt obliged to respond "It's almost perfect" He said with a very chilled out tone. "All it needs it a little less wind and it would be a perfect night!"

As Lucas stopped speking he opened his eyes and looked towards the girl, he stood up slowly "What brings you out here?" he asked with genuine interest.

Jenna sat down next to Lucas, pulling her legs up to her chest and hugging them. "Just a bit warmer would be nice, I think." She said with a bit of a smile as her gaze turned to look at the still lake before her. She supposed meeting someone new wouldn't hurt so she was glad that she'd started the conversation.

"I always come out here at the end of the day, it's a great place to just walk and think. You know. Besides, inside the castle there's always a bunch of people. What about you? What brings you out here?" Jenna responded, turning her gaze back to him.

As the girl approached and sat down, so did Lucas, not getting to close to her, to make sure she did not feel uncomfortable. "Yeah i know what you mean, i much prefer one to one conversations!" he said as he brought his legs up and rested his hand and chin on them.

"Well ive just got back to Hogwarts today, been back at home for a couple of weeks, and this is the first place I came, because i love it down here, especiouly at this time of night!" As he finished talking his gaze went back to the lake as the last of the sun left the water.

Jenna nodded, it was just easier to have a conversation with one person rather than a whole room of people that she didn't even know that well. "I completely agree."She looked over at him, realizing that she didn't even know this guys name, and her she was having a completely random conversation with him.

"Yea, it's a pretty awesome place down here. How come you'd left for a couple of weeks?" It seemed strange to Jenna that anyone would want to leave Hogwarts. OF course with the recent events it didn't seem so strange anymore. Well in any case, she hoped that he didn't think she was being too nosey. "Oh, I'm Jenna Wright by the way."

Lucas thought of not telling her the truth about what had happened, but then he relised that he had invited her to ask by telling her that he had been away. "Well its a long story but basicaly a year ago my brother was killed and i went home for my parents and a sort of aniversiry of his death!" he looked towards her unsue weather he should of told her, afterall he had just met her, then dumped this huge personal problem on her, he then lookd back at the shore "I'm Lucas!"

Jenna looked at him as he told his story. She couldn't imagine what he must of gone through over the past year without his brother. If something like that happened to her brother or sister she wasn't sure how she would be able to deal with that. "Oh gosh. I'm sorry! That must be awful." She didn't really know what to say, or how to respond to that. She felt kind of bad that she'd asked. "WEll nice to meet you Lucas."

Lucas smiled "It's nice to meet you too!" he looked back at her and analysed her face "Make you wish you didn't ask, doesn't it?" he said in a serious voice "No matter how you tell it, it makes you feel bad!" he smiled "Well cheer up, i wouldn't want to be the caue of such a pretty girl looking sad!"

Mia walked onto the Grounds and saw the beautiful lake reflecting the gleaming sun. The sun was so bright that she had to shade her eyes. She wished that she had brought sunglasses. she looked around for people and spotted Lucas and a seventh year girl she didn't know, sitting by the water.

Walking up to them, she said, "Hey Lucas!" She then turned to the girl, "Hi, I'm Mia. Is it okay if I sit here?" She hoped that the girl didn't think of her cheeriness as an annoyance, as some older students did.

Lucas stood up, he really had to go, he had been given a potions placement exam to do before his first class and he really needed to go and do it. Just as he stood up Mia walked over "Hey Mia!" he said putting his hand up. Then he turned to Jenna "Sorry Jenna its been nice meeting you buti got an assignment to do!" as he said that he walked off looking at Mia and nodding as he did, with a little smile.
