Title: I have decided
Flame Lestrange - January 28, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
Flame walked up to the office door once again and stared at it, grey eyes scanning every little part of it. It was the same as ever. She was wasting time, the last time she'd seen her father she'd walked out in the middle of some ritual or other without an explanation. But there was no point hiding the fact she was here, he would probably already know. She knocked on the door.
Coldstone Harshing - January 29, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
He waved his wand and the door vanished. "Yes?" He said casually, weighing a hefty donation from a very wealthy pure blooded family. He emptied the money into two large sacks, waved his wand and they floated to a small vortex where they vanished, safely deposited in the Hogwarts Vault at Gringotts which now spanned over a dozen chambers.
He lifted another sack on and began to weigh out some more gold galleons.
Flame Lestrange - January 29, 2008 04:41 PM (GMT)
Flame looked around nervously and wlked in. "I decided... you know, about changing my name or not." her voice was tense, she didn't think he was happy with her, she couldn't help feeling jumpy, it was natural. us, she still hadn't told him her deepest secret yet.
Coldstone Harshing - January 29, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
Harshing carried on like no one spoke, bagged up another 100 galleons and deposited it into the vortex. "And what have you decided? Harshing or Lestrange?" The scales vanished and a stack of paper appeared, a quill turned upright and began to write frantically on its own.
Flame Lestrange - January 29, 2008 04:58 PM (GMT)
Flame looked at him, letting silence fall between them but for the scratching of the quill. "I want to become an official Harshing." she told him, her voice firm, secure now. "If you would still agree to that."
Coldstone Harshing - January 29, 2008 05:19 PM (GMT)
"Excellent, best let the name of Lestrange die then wither away." The quill stopped and he handed it to her with the paper. "Sign there and I will send it to the Protector Records immediately.
Flame Lestrange - January 30, 2008 04:09 PM (GMT)
Oh, how joyous her father seemed. It was strange, something she was not used to. She frowned, but then wiped the emotion from her face, staring at him, concerned that she should ever see Harshing seem anything but displeased. She took the quill and didn't even bother to read the parchment, signing her name- the same fancy writing she used for anything important- then passed it back to Harshing. She looked at him, straight in the face. "So, how have you been, headmaster?"
Coldstone Harshing - January 31, 2008 04:10 PM (GMT)
He sent the entire wad of paper flying through the window where a hoard of owls snatched each piece and went to the Protectors.. The contract would move all her assets to his gringotts account and change her name to Harshing.
"Wonderful."
Flame Lestrange - January 31, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Flame watched the papers fly through the window and be snatched by a number of owls, each winging their way towards protectors headquaters. "Wonderful, that is a nice word to hear." she was half-talking to herself now, lost in thoughts of how she, herself had been, but she pushed them away.
"I thought you looked happy."
Coldstone Harshing - February 2, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
Harshing made a non-verbal snort of agreement before sitting. "This Finn situation is still not clear. It seems to be you were the agitator in the situation. You are to steer clear of Finn - If I hear that you have been at all bad to him I shall hurt you."
Flame Lestrange - February 2, 2008 04:47 PM (GMT)
Flame stared at him, cold venom in the grey eyes of hatred. She hatred the fact she was getting the blame- she hadn't done anything wrong! She could have understood if she'd done something. "Why? Because i ran from the room? I couldn't help that."
Coldstone Harshing - February 2, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
Harshing squinted at her. "Finn is a filthy upstart, we know that. If i was not bound by the Council of Protectors he would be punished severly for his arrogance and cheek. However, I do not want to be placed in such a situation. You must avoid conflict with him. Yet do not stop watching him. For I believe he is one that could turn against me."
Harshing changed the topic of conversation quickly. "I have more allies coming to this school. My cousin Lycs, my good friend Herracio - both shall work with me to uphold Slytherin's work."
Flame Lestrange - February 2, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
Flame let Harshing continue and nodded quickly, knowing not to upset the man, her father. He had a vile temper, and punishments from him were something she would like to have avoided. "Allies to uphold Slterin's work?" her eyes sparkled now, at the prospect of that work being continued. The death eaters cause was returning in this school, and it meant good things for her- she was a branded death eater. "Does that mean the death eaters willr eturn to power?" she asked, not drawing the sleeve of her left arm up to see what she knew was the dark mark, changed, branded into her skin, and as dark as it had been before the dark lord had been killed.
Coldstone Harshing - February 2, 2008 05:45 PM (GMT)
Harshing smiled, his eyes aflame. He walked to the door and protected it from listening in. "The Death Eaters shall be born again," he whispered. "When i formed the Protectors Council I had no intention of that Brat Kiley to drop out of being Patron. She was my puppet, I could control her, I held power on behalf of our cause..."
He sat, his head in his hands. "But now shes dropped out, anyone could become Leader... Lycs is reforming the Death Eaters with my support behind him. However I shall be inactive. I must remain strong in the council, act as the eyes and ears for the Death Eaters. We shall lie low until the time is right to attack this state, seize the Elder Wand and take what is rightfully ours. Britain. The World."
Flame Lestrange - February 2, 2008 05:53 PM (GMT)
A passion shared by both father and daughter- the death eaters, their cause- was perhaps the only bond these two shared. However, they cared for each other, in inexplicable ways, Flame had found a soft spot for her father somehow, though he was a truly evil man. "That is why you don't use scum such as werewolves for important jobs." she spat. "They know no loyalty, they will turn away from all but what suits them." It was a well-known fact that flame disliked the werewolf Kiley, they had made this blatantly clear many times.
"then find soemone else they will trust, father- someone on our side who perhaps fought against Sentinus." she was searching for the answer to who, but could not grasp it. "The elder wand..." lust shone in her eyes, clear as the hatred and excitement had, but perhaps more pronounced. It was a source of power beyond her imagination.
Coldstone Harshing - February 3, 2008 03:49 PM (GMT)
Salazar's portrait turned into a mirror, cracked and blackened. Harshing walked up to it and saw the distorted version of himself, his chilled eyes ablizzard. Hair, so perfectly combed backwards. His face, nothing short of ugly. He pulled his robes tighter. There was no majesty in his figure, no matter how much he posed as a god he would never have that spark to lead a nation. He needed a puppet. Someone weak that would obeyhim.
"I shall find someone. Someone pure and weak. But... appears strong.
Flame Lestrange - February 4, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
Flame nodded, staring at her father, wishing that she never turned out quite like him, she liked her looks, and did not think she would be able to live without them. But he had the mind of a true genious, the spark mentally which he did not hold physically, it was true he needed a puppet, and that neither knew one.
"Sounds like a good idea." she said. She was pushing the burning hatred she had once held for her father away, she had learnt to get alone with him to a degree, and she wanted it to stay that way. In ways, however, she knew that meant being truly honest. Plus, she didn't want the child, and so far nothing had worked for getting rid of it, so she was turning to her last resort.
"What would you do if someone had told you one thing, believing it was true, and then found out the opposite, headmaster?" she asked nervously.
