Mia walked down the hallway after finishing her homework. There was still some time before curfew. She started pacing the hallway, trying to think of a place where she could have some singing practice.

Suddenly, a door appeared on the wall next to her. Mia stopped pacing and frowned at it. She didn't remember that being there. She slowly walked towards it and put her hand on the doorknob. She turned it slowly. The door creaked open and lights flashed out of the opening.

Mia slowly waled in and gasped. There was a stage covcered in many colored lights. In the center of the stage, stood a single microphone. It was like a beautiful dream for Mia.

She quickly ran up the steps to the syage. She stopped in front of the mic and decided to test it. She said in a deep voice, "Testing: 1,2,3, testing." The mics worked perectly!

Mia decided to sing her favorite Taylor Swift song: Our Song. She leaned into the mic and began, "I was riding shotgun..." Mia's voice flowed through the room. Even Miarself was enjoying it.

Tyler was striding confidently down the hallways searching for Mia. She really needed to tell her something but she couldn't find her anywhere. Tyler stumbled into an empty corridor and relaxed a bit, letting her confident strut to fall into a relaxed shuffle and letting her features dampen. It could be exhausting being this bright and self-sufficient all day long! It's not like she put up a face for people or was hiding behind a shell. She was simply being herself but being her self could be relentless! She tripped on the hem of her too-long robes and dropped her books in front of a peculiar looking painting and sighed thinking of how she really wanted to talk with Mia. Suddenly a door popped into view on the wall opposite the painting, a soft tune floated through the air out of nowhere. "Our song is a slamming screen door, sneaking out late tappin on your window...." Tyler scooped up all her books and peered curiously at the door before stepping forward and opening the door.

Mia continued singing untill she saw the door open. She stopped abruptly and let go of the microphone.She sat on the edge of the stage and jumped off. She skipped over to the door and peeked out upon the newcomer. It ended up being Tyler.

"Hey, Tyler! What are you doing here? Don't tell me your leading the other Slytherins to my hideaway!" Mia joked and put on a mocking surprised face.

Tyler flashed her bright smile at Mia's comment.
"Nope, not today... I was looking for you because I wanted to talk to you and then I tripped... Typical, right? but then I heard this really amazing singing..." Tyler paused her ramble for a moment to glance at Mia. "That was you wasn't it?" she asked, pointing out the obvious, as there was no else in the room.

Mia nodded when Tyler spoke, "Yup, typical" She chuckled that happened to her a lot, "Well, I guess it was." Mia led Tyler into the room, "This place is amazing. Let me show you what it can do. What do you want right now, like some water or something."

Tyler thought really hard of what she wanted.
'Hmmm... well I am a little hungry and I love pumpkin pasties. But then again I have been wanting to read that one book, but the library's copy is always out! And then there is my obsession with collecting seashells. But all those things sound stupid to ask for... Hmmm'
But then Tyler's eyes widened in shock as she looked up and the things she had been thinking about materialized. There was a mountain of fresh pumpkin pasties sitting on the nearest table, A new copy of 'The Inner Beauty of Inner Magic' in pristine condition on the end table and a bucketful of dazzling shells and colorful sea glass glinting up at her from the floor.
"Wow...." was all she could say. Then she looked up at Mia, "Can I..you know... can I.. um.. keep them?"

Mia smiled at Tyler's shocked expression. She imagined that she had looked like that when she had seen the stage. She then responded, "That's what I was wondering. I'm not sure if they exist outside of this place."

"Oh.. well... wow! But there was something I wanted to talk to you about! Uh.... Oh bugger! What was it? I always do this! Forget what I was going to say!" Tyler began to chuckle and then her chuckle turned to giggles and within seconds she was in a fit of giggles on the floor and suddenly the oh so 'important' piece of gossip was no longer relevant.
"So you want to show me some more of your talent?" Tyler asked between breaths and giggles and cracked a small smile.

Mia watched Tyler break down on the floor in laughs. She herself was holding back giggles. She was scared that someone would hear them, so she looked slightly over her shoulder, just in case.

When Tyler askedher if she would sing again, Mia just smiled and walked silently up on stage. When she got to the microphone, she already decided to sing Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson.

"5, 6, 7, 8..." she began with a count, "Seems like just yesterday, you were a part of me, I used to stand so tall, I used to be so strong.."

"Wow... you really are good!" Tyler told Mia. "I wish I could sing! Every time I try anyone within hearing distance tells me I shouldn't be allowed to sing!"
Tyler smiled at Mia. Then a thought occured to her.
"Hey, I've been seeing you around with some guy alot lately. What's up with you two? He's really cute!"
Tyler winked and then giggled.

"Thanks," Mia said as Tyler complimented her, "You can't be THAT bad!" When Tyler started talking about Mia being with a guy, she started giggling, "Omigosh! You saw us?"

"So? What's up with you guys?" Tyler prompted and let her teasing smirk show.

Mia, still giggling, said, "Long story short. I had a little mishap in the lake, Mr.Romeo saved me, and then we got all mushy." Mia then said, "How about you? Met your Romeo yet?"
