Title: TEACHERS:Staff Meeting

Coldstone Harshing - February 2, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
Harshing's office had been transformed into a nice meeting room. A circular table in the centre with cushioned chairs around the outside. There was a neat agenda in each place accompanied by a jug of water and a goblet. In the centre of the table were several plates of biscuits and sweets from honeydukes.

Harshing was at his seat, sipping some of his water - his rimless glasses sitting on his nose, his long grey hair whetted back, each folical in perfect uniformity. He was wearing purple robes. The colour of Kings.

ALL STAFF MUST BE HERE.

Lycs Anima - February 2, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
Though he was a relatively new teacher, Lycs Anima already held the fear of most of the pupils and it was no lie to say that they weren't happy with his seating arragements for classes wither, but he didn't care, he was going to teach them to listen, and they would obey.

First, however, there was a much more pressing matter- the staff had been callen for a meeting and, if Lycs new anything, it was to not upset his cousin. So, unwillingly as it might have been, he obliged, walking into the office and casting a nod and small smile in the way of his cousin, and taking a seat.

Logan Corso - February 3, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
*Logan had a feeling that harshing still didn't like him, so he was sure to show up on time, cleanly shaven with his shirt tucked in. Logan opened the door to the office and smiled slightly as he stepped in and took a seat.*

Coldstone Harshing - February 3, 2008 04:03 PM (GMT)
Admin God Action: All teachers are seated. Other teachers pretend you have been there and join in discussion.

Harshing smiled, offered the biscuits around before clearing his throat. He looked at item one on the agenda. "Zero Tolerance - I have decided to make it Hogwarts Policy to have a zero tolerance policy, just like many muggle schools, just like Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. We need to create a secure, safe and energetic working environment here and we can no longer be destroyed from the inside by arrogant children who persist on interupting classes and causing disturbance."

This was true, 90% of schools in the uk, Muggle as well operated on a "no-messing" policy.

"I have devised the answer to our prayers. A little place that captures the essence of genius. A masterstroke that, when used, will carve out perfect children." He stood up.

"Room 101."

Logan Corso - February 3, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
*Logan shivered once at the thought of room 101. He had been thrown in there once when he was in school and it had terrified him for about a month so much that Tommy and Mei had taken him down to the hospital wing. He set down the biscuit he had been eating, suddenly not hungry anymore.* "I thought room 101 was banned." *He said weakly, trying to hide the fear from his voice*

Coldstone Harshing - February 3, 2008 04:37 PM (GMT)
Harshing laughed for several moments. "Banned by who? The Ministry?" He laughed before calming down. "It was banned unfairly to begin with. It is the final solution to our problems. I have managed to repeal the ban through my links with the Protectors and reopen the room."

He paced around the table. "Imagine a school with no shouting, no running, no screaming. Imagine a school where students obeyed every last command without question. Imagine perfection. We can breed an elite race of Wizard from this institution using hard tactics combined with Room 101. We must instill fear into the hearts and minds of the children. We must uphold the ancient doctrine that made Britain great."

Mei Feng - February 4, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
She'd be sat there from the start, refusing to make eye contact with anyone and not speaking a word. After the last staff meeting she wasn't so keen on speaking up. Mei refused the biscuits when offered, not in the mood to eat and instead wrung her hands nervously together in her lap.

Shock visibly registered on her face when he spoke of room 101, she remembered that room and how Logan had been after leaving it. Her lips pursed and she open her mouth to speak before her better judgement set in and she closed her lips once more. Unsure that if she spoke she would be able to keep her opinions to herself. She looked pointedly down at the table when she finally did speak, traces of shock and nerves hidden in her tones.

"And for what will students be sent to the room for? All punishments or just some, Headmaster?"

Melanie Hunter - February 4, 2008 03:09 AM (GMT)
*Lilly was sitting in her seat, with her right leg over top of the left, the upper leg bouncing up and down as if to the beat of some silent song. She was sucking on a lollipop she had taken from the Honeyduke's candy that Harshing had unwisely put before her. It seemed like she was only half paying attention, but she knew exactly what was going on. She remembered Room 101...she had been sent there a lot....too often. The memories didn't stop her joyful attitude, though. She removed the lollipop from her mouth for a moment to speak.*
Lilly:"I don't really think 101 makes perfect students. Really, if we just stuck with, oh, say writing lines, it might be better. Students seem to really hate 101. I know I do." *she put the lollipop back in her mouth and looked around the room with a wide-eyed expression on her face, expectant. She hadn't realized how dumb her statement sounded. What she really meant was that 101 made students revolt more and only left them mentally scarred rather than healed.*

Lycs Anima - February 4, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
Lycs sat silently, listening, smirking at his cousins suggestion. Of course, room 101 would do the trick- the students would fear the punishments and would, therefore, be less likely to cause the trouble which would land them in it. Yet again, a spark of genious from his cousin. It seemed, however, someone had a different view on the room. He glared at the woman and shook his head. "Maybe you should learn not to contradict the headmaster, Lilly, and perhaps get sme respect while you're at it." he snarled. He didn't know her very well but what he had seen, he didn't like.

Logan Corso - February 4, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
*Logan glanced to Mei when she spoke. He knew that no matter waht he would never send a student to room 101. It had effected him too much as a kid.* "I think Room 101 should be used only in the most sevear of cases...if ever. It can perminately scar the students emotionally. Why not just bring in the dementors now? It's practically the same thing...."

Kristoph Zephr - February 5, 2008 05:29 PM (GMT)
"Well done Mister Corso - you have said something quite interesting. Severe cases. Room 101 will lose all effect if it is a common thing. We must create the sense of "finality" about 101- therefore it will be even more scary to students and more respect will be shown." He started pacing again.

"Only I shall have the power to send students to the room. Again it creates this supremacy of the solution."

He looked at Lily when she spoke. "Learn to hold your tongue or I shall remove the possibility."

Melanie Hunter - February 5, 2008 08:33 PM (GMT)
Lilly:"Alright, I just thought my opinion would be valued. I guess it's not." *She replied with a shrug, not being affected by this in the least.*"It doesn't seem very fair, but oh well." *she stopped talking and looked away from Harshing to show that she was done talking, at least for little while. She would probably forget that she had said she would stop talking. Scatterbrain. Ugh.*

Mei Feng - February 6, 2008 05:46 AM (GMT)
She had watched Logan speak carefully from the corner of her eyes, as she had watched Lilly speak. It seemed this time Lilly was facing Harshing wrath, last time it was herself. Maybe the meanie just didn't like women? When Harshing commented that Logan had said something useful she almost, very almost, thought he meant about the dementors. She blinked in confusion before he continued with his explanation and she visibly relaxed if only a little.

"And students will return from room 101, Headmaster?"

She was asking politely as she could if she would ever see anyone that ended up in that room ever again. She still couldn't understand who in their right mind would give him permission to re open the room.

Coldstone Harshing - February 12, 2008 06:02 PM (GMT)
"Oh yes, students will spend an hour in there, maybe less and be returned to their classrooms. Its really quite clever." He smiled and sat down. "Well now we have sorted that I shall explain how it will come into play. Students will be given one warning. So, for example if they are talking when you are they shall be warned. IF they persist they will be given a detention. If there is trouble after that send them to me for Room 101 punishment."

He flicked to the next item. "Detentions. I have decided that all detentions are to be the same. It is not fair that one teacher is more harsh than another. Detentions will consist of manual, non-magical labour. This labour will be scrubbing some of the dungeon chambers which are full of barnacles and moss. Students will complete this without clothes or magic so they feel the full chill of the dungeon drafts. Detentions will last no less than four hours and no more than 12 hours at a time. Detentions may last over several days in segments. So 12 hours a night for instance. If a child refuses detention or is not working to his best then he shall be beaten."

He paused.

Logan Corso - February 12, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
"You really think the parents will send their kids to a school where they have to walk around naked? Youput that into effect and you won't have a school anymore...headmaster." *He only added on the headmaster part as an after thought.*

Coldstone Harshing - February 12, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
"Did I say walk around naked? I said detentions. And besides. As of tomorrow parents will have no choice in the school they send their children. As of tomorrow, I become Master Protector." There was a shimmer in his eyes. "As of tomorrow nothing will question our progress to new horizons my friends."
