Title: Distracted
Description: Open

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 4, 2008 02:15 AM (GMT)
Fawne was sat in the school library, three book of varying shapes open neatly in front of her and a blank piece of parchment sat between them. Her outer school robe was draped over the chair, though the rest of her uniform was worn; if only to abide by the new school rules. A small smile was set on her lips and her misty eyes appeared to roam over the words as she absently run the tip of her feather quill across the top of her neck.

In all reality she wasn't reading at all and she'd started the essay over an hour ago. Her mind was completely else where. Thinking over the past days, the confusion with Dorien, the new harsher punishments, the teachers new teachings styles and everything else in between; though she would admit most of her thoughts were on the confusion with Dorien. She was now pretty sure she liked him, for at least that explained the fuzzy feeling, however it did sink in some time later than the first discovery that he would likely just tell her he's a vampire and refuse to be around her.

She sighed very softly in annoyance at her own un-optimistic thoughts before attempting to read once more.

ooc: I'm crashing your topic. Because the other one died...my fault...lol

*Dorien had dropped into the library to return a book. He was thinking of what he had jest seen in the forest with Hrashing. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he almost didn't notice Fawne. Almost. When he DID catch her scent on the air he turned around and headed in her direction. Dorien took a deep breath to compose himself before turning arounf the bookshelf and lingering beside the chair across from her.* "Mind if I sit?" *He wasn't mearly asking as a formality...he was really asking her...she was free to decline and he would stop bothering her. But something told him that was a fat chance.*

OOC: Its fine lol ^.^

IC:

She was pleasantly surprised when Dorien appeared, though she did give a little jump at being brought out of her thoughts. Silver misted eyes focused on him and a small smile was set on her lips as she placed down her quill and closed her books. The essay certainly wouldn't be getting done now, not that she minded.

"I would find it delightful if you stayed." The tones in her voice were the normal melodic ones though they seemed slightly brighter than normal.

Her now unoccupied hand ventured to her neck to twist the beads of her rainbow necklace through her fingers; not out of nervousness but out of habit. After all it used to be the thestral pendant she wore but she no longer possessed that at the moment. The other hand rested on the table as her mind raced through things to say.

"Are you faring well?" She mentally kicked herself for the rubbish question but at least it had been a small while since she'd last seen him. Besides asking 'what now' seemed to be a daft idea.

Dorien Hurt - February 12, 2008 06:32 PM (GMT)
"I'm generally well, yes." *Dorien answered as he took the seat across from her. As he did, he noticed people start to whisper to the people they were sitting with. He only ever really talked to Fawne and apparently that was gossip worthy. he ignore them though, distracted when she touched her neck. Dorien reached up to his own neck and removed the thestral pendant that he still wore* "I believe this is yours....a.nd I've been meaning to give it back to you for some time now...." *Dorien held it out for her to take*

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 12, 2008 06:54 PM (GMT)
Fawne, as always, was generally oblivious to the whispering voices of the other students. She never particularly noticed when the used to whisper about her odd comments. She nodded her head in reply when he stated he was well before staring at the offered pendant for a moment with misty eyes,

Without another moments deliberation she reached her own hand forward towards his, but instead of taking the necklace she closed his fingers around it with her own fingers. Leaving her hand lingering there.

"I would find it delightful if you would take care of it for me."

She couldn't think why she wanted him to keep it but she knew she didn't want to have it back, yet anyway. Even though she sometimes missed the pendant.

Dorien Hurt - February 14, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
*Dorien was suprised by her reaction. He guessed it was just to make up for the tension that had been present in their relationship ever since he had kissed her. But either way, he was proud to wear it, and had been reluctant to give it up. It made him think of her. However, e didn't pull his hand away to return the necklace to his neck. Instead, he relaxed his hand slightly.* "Are you sure? I know how fond of it you are..."

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 15, 2008 06:17 PM (GMT)
She nodded vaguely, but didn't speak for a few seconds. Only a few and barely a noticeable pause. She was trying to think of her reasoning, but found she had none; other than she wanted him to keep it for now. She didn't move her hand either, choosing to keep it loosely clasped around his, she probably wouldn't move it until he removed his own hand. Blunt as she was even Fawne wouldn't admit that she rather liked holding onto his hand. A vague half smile was on her lips as she spoke.

"I am certain, I trust you." she paused and it almost seemed as if that was her answer for being sure, she trusted him and she trusted him to look after the pendant. "I rather like to believe that i am connected to you if you wear my pendant." her voice never changed from its normal tones when she spoke, though he words were rather hidden yet blunt by her nature. Her eyes thought unfocused as always was carefully studying there hands not Dorien.

Dorien Hurt - February 22, 2008 01:51 AM (GMT)
*Dorien sighed and glanced down at the table. He slowly lowered his hand so it was on the table, hoping that she didn't remove her hand from the back of his. The warmpth from her hand felt amazing.* "I like wearing it......It makes me feel closer to you as well..." *Dorien looked up at her from under his eye lashes, his eyes a light chocolate. The dark circles were starting to become more defined under his eyes, although he still looked beautiful. Dorien's eyes dropped back to the table.*

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 22, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
She momentarilly expected him to remove his hand form her loose grip, and at thought actually rather worried her. She didn't want him to move his hand, she was quite relieved that he only placed it on the table and instead of moving her own hand she just gripped his a little tighter. Although she was still avoiding looking at his eyes, because she found them rather distracting, she noticed the light chocolate colour and the slightly dark circles. With that realisation her small half smile dropped slightly to a neutral expression, though her eyes remained misty. Her voice was softer than normal, like she expected him to break even though he had proved to be strong before

"You are not sleeping well?"

She gently removed her hand from his and rose slightly from her chair so she could reach across the table and run her feather light fingers just below the circles, although far enough away form his eyes. If she wasn't incredibly honest by nature she probably would have over looked the dark circles, her bluntness also meant she acted on impulses. And she found it impulsive to touch, finally being quirky had its advantages. She didn't often have to deal with attraction, and this was her way of dealing with it; impulse rather than words, never the normal one.

OOC: Blah, finding a quirk way to display affection is hard. Now she seems all sappy lol.

Dorien Hurt - February 24, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
*Dorien smiled weakly and looked up at her again* "Not eating." *He ammended her softly* "I never sleep, remember?" *Dorien turned his head to the side and closed his eyes, her fingers running over his cheek. The warmness in her fingers cotrasted greatly against the icy coldness of his skin.* "You have no idea how that feels...." *He mumbled. Dorien opened his eyes and looked at her again. He grinned and relaxed into the chair* "People are staring at us...."

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 26, 2008 12:38 AM (GMT)
She very almost committed on the fact he wasn't eating but thankfully her brain caught up with her and she realised he wasn't as human as she was; a fact she often forgot. Not that it bothered her anyway. She thoughtfully dropped the previous points not wanting the conversation to lead to him once again telling her not to trust him. She removed her fingers from his cheek and sat back in her chair as she glanced through, not at, the people staring. A small half smile was on her lips as she turned her gaze back to Dorien's eyes, lightly waving at the nearest staring people which caused them to mutter and turn away.

"Hum, i would like to believe they find our interaction much more intresting than their own, but then i often find people do tend to stare." Her voice had a light, mirth filled quality to it as she wasn't bothered by the staring at all, though she did think they must have something better to stare at. "Perhaps they are waiting for something different to the norm?"

Dorien Hurt - February 26, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
"I tihnk they're just suprised to see me interacting with someone at all. I tend to keep to myself, you know." *Dorien closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. He let it rest on the back of his neck* "What are we Fawne?" *He asked softly* "Where are we?" *Dorien opened his eyes, his confusion and frusteration completely unveiled now.* "Are we just friends, or are we more?" *He leaned into the table closer to her so they could talk.*

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 26, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)
Any reply she had to his first comment visibly disappeared from her lips at his second. She blinked slowly and for once she looked truly like the wide eyed dear caught in headlights, the usual knowledge behind her eyes lacking. Her own confusion shinning through the, though she was not frustrated.

She sighed lightly and leaned forward slightly, mimicking his actions subconsciously. "I do not believe this is the type of question only one of us can answer, although i shall try." She flexed her fingers and forced herself to meet his gaze. "I am confused, or rather i am in new territory; i do not often face these types of situations." she dropped his gaze now unable to do anything but softly speak her next few words. "You give me butterflies, and i believe you have acquired a large section of my heart . You had shocked me before, i had not even considered how much you meant to me. I am fairly sure i know now."

She was trying to explain her even odder behaviour but primarily she was hoping to get the point across, that she held a very deep affection for him, though she dare no even think the word love.

Dorien Hurt - February 26, 2008 02:26 AM (GMT)
*Dorien listened quietly to what she had to say. He considered it and then calmed himself down, trying not to get frusterated.* "Well it's bvious how I feel about you...I've cared about you for a long time although it wasn't untill recently that I realized that those feelings were for more than friendship." *He kept his eyes locked on hers, watching every expression she made.*

Fawne Sugarmoon - February 26, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
She blinked as if to break his gaze without actually looking away, Almost as if she was hypnotized by his ever changing eyes. Her mind slowly absorbed his words not out of stupidity but shock. When she spoke her voice was its normal tones, no hint of extra softness or confusion laced it.

"I believe i did not answer your question Dorien. I hope that at the least we are delightful friends..."

She rose a little from her chair and leaned the extra distance forwards, closing the already small gap. She was acting on impulse and would later, when reflecting be surprised at her own blunt actions. Without another word she placed a chaste yet soft kiss on the corner of his mouth; sort of asking him for his response first. She lent back slightly before continuing her half finished sentence, totally unaware of the crowd of spectators they had gained.

"Nevertheless i would find it wonderful to be more than so.."
