Harshing glided around the classroom with an horrific look on his face. He waited for his class to arrive.

Raven strolled into the classroom. She was wearing her basic Slytherin uniform, her hair up in a bun as she usually had it. Suprisingly, she wasn't late for class for once. And actually, she was the first one to arrive to class. "Good morning Professor..." She had said quite coldly, trying to be polite. She sat at an empty desk and wiated to see if any others would arrive soon.

Seeing the girl was a slytherin his thin blue lips pursed and smiled.

Raven looked around the classroom boredly. She tapped her nails on the desk and rested her elbow down and leaned the side of her hand on her fist. "What are we doing in class today?" She asked the Professor, trying to think of something to entertain herself.

*Melanie skipped into the classroom, singing her favorite song (La Vie Boheme, if you didn't know yet) at the top of her lungs*
Melanie:"Bisexuals, trisexuals, Homo Sapiens,
Carcinogens, hallucinogens, men,
Pee Wee Herman
German wine, turpentine, Gertrude Stein
Antonioni, Bertolucci, Kurosawa
Carmina Burana!" *When she saw the look on Professor Harshing's face she stopped. She quietly walked over to her normal seat in the middle of the classroom and sat down without saying a word*

<Squall walked in just after Mel, shaking his head in an embarressed way, ashamed to know her. he took his seat and stared into space>

Harshing clicked his fingers and text appeared on the board.

Horcruxes

"The last and final thing I can teach you is this, a very dark suject, a very horrific subject. Please leave if you are faint hearted." Harshing looked around the class sharply .

Raven grinned as thw word "Horcruxes" appeared on the board when he clicked his fingers. She hadn't been looking forward to learning about them, but figured some excitement would come out of it.

<Squall frowned slightly. he didnt know what the heck a Horcrux was. he didnt move, they sounded interesting>

*Melanie looked extremelly confused. She had heard mention of a horcrux once or twice along the line, but she had no idea what they were. So, simply out of curiosity, she stayed in the room. Her full attention was on Harshing for the first, and probably only, time.*

"Eternal life and immortality" He began pacing the desks. "Sounds good doesnt it but a Horcrux is the furthest anyone has ever been to unlocking the secret of imortality."

"A horcrux is part of very dark magic, only one book in hogwarts contains the slightest mention of the word, It is indeed illeagal for me to be disscussing this at this moment, but I will continue because it is necessary" The lights dimmed and the window shutters slammed shut.

"A horcrux is an object in which a person has concealed a part of his or her soul." He looked around and paused for effect.

*Melanie looked up at Harshing skeptically. She raised her hand*
Melanie:"How can you conceal part of your soul? I mean...how do you do it, your soul is inside you. It's not like you can just chop off part of your soul."



~Mel

"Murder!" Harshing answered in an eerie voice. "Only murder can fracture someones soul, the art of slaughtering another will break any good inside anyone. How you do this is so vulgar, so horrendous I can not tell you the details. Not even our late Mr Wittle dared to venture into Horcruxes, only one man has ever gone that far and his name is Lord VVVVvvvvvvvvvv..." Harshing wiped his browe "...Voldemort!"

<Squall made no movement at the name, and put his hand in the air>
sir? if Voldemort is the only one to have a horcrux... how come others know things about them? surely if he is the only one, you, who has never had one, cannot tell us comepletely?

"You are right leonheart, I cannnot however My father uncovered much information about this as did I on my travels but only bthose who commit fully understand how to make one." Harshing paused. "Why do you think that a horcrux cannot be in an animal?"

*Melanie nervously raised her hands*
Melanie:"Because it would become like the person. Like...their personality would change." *she wasn't sure of this but it was worth a shot*

<Squall also raised his hand>
because it can think for itself, and can easily leave you so that you can never get it back.

and it would shorten its life wouldn't it? you'd have a horcrux for as long as it takes to die and the body to decompose

"Yes, what use is a dying Horcrux?" Harshing held up a diary with a hole in it with a pair of tweezers. "This is one of Lord Voldemorts deceased Horcruxes, the Diary that forced little Ginny to open the chamber only a few years ago."

Melanie:"I heard my mum and dad talking about that. They said that she was writing in the diary or something and it wrote back to her...."

"You're parents are correct Melanie" Harshing bagged the diary and looked at the clock on the wall. "That will be it." He said grimly. "Please come up to the front for your DADA certificates, you have completed everything there is to learn and more." He waved his wand and a pile of certificates appeared. "When I first took this class you were imbeciles, brainless, I and I alone have taught you civilisation and you are prepared for the world!"

With that Coldstone Harshing left through the backwall, going straight through it like a ghost.

*Melanie raised an eyebrow*
Melanie:"Ok...." *She thought it was a little odd that they were done with DADA and they hadn't even finished the year yet. She went to the front of the room and got her certificate anyway. She wasn't going to complain. It just meant that she'd see less of Harshing, and that's no loss at all.*

<Squall wanted to know a lot more about Horcruxes. he was positive that that wasn't all that there was to know, but he grabbed his certificate anyway and spoke to Mel>
its finished? we've done everything?

*Kiley also walked foward. She had been sitting with Squall. She picked up her certificate and smiled at it.* "I don't care....it's just less homework." *she smiled.* "But what are we going to do for the rest of our years?"

Melanie:"No bloody idea." *she told them*"Teach ourselves, maybe?"

Simner who had been siting to Melanies right stood up and walked upto the desk and took the certifacite with his name on it. He smiled a grim smile "Melanie...wanna go for a walk later?" he wisperd softly in Melanies ear

Melanie:"Of course." *she replied*"Where to?"


OOC: Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Kiley might know what's coming.


Jack:"Where to, miss?"
Rose:"To the stars."


You all know what happens next.

OOC: LOL! Ive covered the entire DADA syllabus, there is nothing left to teach.

OOC:Boggarts? dementors? what about those?

"To the stars" he said quoteing one of his fav movies

OOC: *Facepalm* To both of you. lol. I can't say I wasn't expecting that. :P

Melanie:"Well that's one walk I can't say no to!" *she turned around slightly and kissed Simner softly on the lips*"Where and when?"

OOC: Simner, hes covered Boggarts and Dementors on the old lumos. previous lessons carry over.

Kiley: "Yeah, I don't really want to teach myself either."

ooc: What's simner's lineage? Is he a muggle born?

OOC:he is Half-blood his mother was a witch and his father a muggle

ooc: Because I was just wondering how he knew all these movies, because Ki's a halfblood but she doesn't know them...but whatever. Doesn't matter.

Raven listened in on what the Professor had been saying. She had been hardly paying attention at all, finding his teaching quite boring, as she did for mostly everything else. She slouched in her desk as she continued to wonder in her own little "lala" land.

"Meet me in the grounds by the womping willow" he said smileing"Tomarrow...at midnight"

Melanie:"Whomping Willow, tommorrow, midnight. Got it." *She smiled*"Do I need to bring anything?"


OOC: Mel knows because both of her parents grew up with muggle stuff and they wanted Mel and her siblings to grow up the same, so...yeah. She grew up watching movies and stuff.

"A towel" he said simpaly. He was plan on going skinny diping

Melanie:"I think I smell the whiff of a scheme." *she said and looked up at Simner curiously*"Am I correct?"

Simner said not a word but gave her a kiss on the cheek and Kiley a hug. He knew she had been going through a hard time and left

Melanie:"Bye, Love...." *she said quietly. She waited until Simner was had left before talking again*"SO, if you don't want to teach yourselves we can make a group and elect a willing leader or something! Like me! I'm willing, and I'd be a good leader!"
