Title: Where did all the stars go?
Description: open
Jenna Wright - February 5, 2008 09:48 PM (GMT)
Jenna was curled up in the windowsill, her gaze turned toward the sky, though her eyes weren't really taking anything in. It was well past curfew and she knew that really should've stayed in the common rooms, especially given the current state of Hogwarts, but she really just needed a place that wasn't full of noisy students. As usual Jenna was up at a ridiculously late hour, the moon had already risen in the sky and it illuminated the clouds that blanketed the sky. Granted, it wasn't exactly the best night to be out stargazing, but that was the last thing Jenna had in mind.
Really, Jenna just couldn't sleep. She wasn't tired. And even if she was tired, her mind was so full of thoughts that she never would've been able to sleep. There were so many things goint through her mind that she really couldn't even make sense of half of them, She sighed. Sitting around in the common room trying to amuse herself had been boring, being in the astronomy tower wasn't really any better. It was just colder considering the fact that there was no fire to spread warmth about the room.
Jenna was sat there in her pajamas, which consisted of a rather large hooide, a pair of boxer shorts, and big fuzzy slippers, so it was no wonder that she was cold. In any case she was freezing, but going back to the common room was not appealing.

It was late at night, Lucas did not know what time, he had been playing basketball for the last couple of hours, he had made his way up to the Astronamy tower. Lucas was not tired, he was in fact quite wired. As he got to the top of the Astronamy tower he saw somone on the windowseal and started to approach them, as he got closer he started to see a familiar face, it was Jenna, a girl he had met at the lake a couple of days ago. He walked up to her and leant against the wall on the oppasite side of the window "Nice Night hey?" he said without looking at her.

Jenna was so absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't hear anyone enter the room, let alone approach her. It was quite a shock, really, to find that she was no longer alone. "What? ... Oh! Hi" Jenna said, recognition coming across her face as she really it was Lucas. She smiled, taking a moment to sink back in to reality. She draged her hands over her faces before fixing her hair and putting it back up into a loose ponytail, strands fell down beside her face again. "Sorry, I didn't even know you'd come in." She glanced out the window, "It's not the prettiest night ever, but it's still a nice night."

Lucas laid back on the wall and folded his arms. "Well maybe i was trying to be not noticed!" he said as he turned back to the window "I love it like this!" he turned back to Jenna "Cool breeze, semi clear sky!" Lucas moved towardsthe windowseal and sat into the corner and let one leg dangle and the other rest on the window seal and rested his elbow on it.

Jenna poked her tongue out at him momentarily. "Why would you not want to be noticed?" She looked back at the sky. So maybe it was a nice night out, but she was being a whimp and was cold. "I guess it would be a nice night. But I'm cold because I'm a crazy lunatic who decided to wear shorts to the astronomy tower in the middle of winter in the middle of the night." She pulled her legs up to her chest, hugging them, partly because her favorite position, and partly because it kept her warmer

Lucas was in shorts as well but he was obviously more used to the cold, properly had more meat on him as well "Well im not a overly friendly person, people annoy me very easily!" he said looking back out over the castle grounds "So if it was somone i didn't know i properly would of gone and hanged out somwhere else, like the lake most likly!"
Jenna Wright - February 5, 2008 11:16 PM (GMT)
Jenna looked at him, he was in shorts as well, but his shorts were also longer than hers and he was a guy so he was just warmer anyways. That was her reasoning anyways. "WEll maybe you should learn to be more sociable" Jenna told him jokingly. "You would've gone down to lake well past midnight? I think you're crazy. I prefer to be indoors when it's around midnight. Especially if I'm by myself."
Lucas Fox - February 5, 2008 11:26 PM (GMT)
Lucas laughed at Jennas comment "I am what i am!" he replied in a more serious tone. Lucas had never really thought about why he liked the lake so much, but no matter what time it was he would always go down there ifhe was in a bad mood or wanted some solitude "Yeah, well i like being on my own so that time of night in that sort of place is where i can get in my time to think!"
Jenna Wright - February 6, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
"We all need our alone time I guess, myself included. Though admittedly, I prefer to find a room inside the castle that people don't go into. Particularly when it's the middle of winter and past midnight." Jenna told him, half joking at the last part just to give him a hard time. Jenna had a habit of going off to some secluded place and just sitting there for hours, shuffling through the thoughts that seemed to crowd her mind at times. She loved being around crowds, especially a big group of friends, but even she needed time to herself sometimes. And being happy and bubbly all the time could take a lot out of you.
Lucas Fox - February 7, 2008 10:02 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, but I take more than your average person i expect!" Lucas spent nearly all of his spare time on his own. Solitude was more apealing to him than being in a group, however he did like one on one social situations, like now. "So Jenna what brings you down here so late?"
