Title: Tyler's First Day

Tyler Ronager - March 18, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
It was Tyler's first day and he was a little bit nervous. He walked around anxious of all the other students that passed by. He constantly asked himself, 'Are they talking about me?' Tyler was looking for his Commonroom but he couldn't seem to find it. He could just ask for directions, but he didn't want his being lost, to stand out to everybody. He went walking into a dark area and got a little tense. He walked towards and door and saw a Slytherin walk out through the door.

[OOC: Yeah this is my very first post so if I did something wrong, feel free to criticize.]

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 19, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
She'd been wandering around the school in a thoughtful daze again, that was the only way to explain how she would randomly end up in the middle of the dungeons. Outside the Slytherin common room no less. Fawne blinked her grey eyes lazily as she looked around. As if she was suddenly waking from a dream.

Her eyes set upon a hufflepuff boy that seemed to be watching the common room entrance , a small wistful half smile was in place on her lips as she spoke in her usual soft melodic tones.

"I rather think it would be unpleasant for you to go in there, definitely so in yellow...Red seems no good either" She was referring to there respected houses, Hufflepuff for him and Gryffindor for her.

Ognian Ivanoff - March 24, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
"Red..." Ognian began, having come up behind the girl quietly. He pursed his lips briefly and evaluated her in that time. "Red would be welcome...I'm not too fond of yellow, though."

Ognian towered above the two, but not feeling up for being intimidating let his shoulders relax and he hung back a little. He smiled at the girl quietly, and nodded his head at the young Hufflepuff.

"What brings you two to Slytherrin, hm?"

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 24, 2008 09:08 PM (GMT)
Where as most people would have seemed a little shocked by someones appearance Fawne merely blinked and turned wide eyes onto the Slytherin boy. Who she had to admit was very tall, but then she was rather short anyway. She seemed to pause for a slight moment before speaking, once more in her soft tones.

"Oh, i rather find that i shame. Yellow looks quite nice with green." Fawne was either really naive or really clever, sometimes there was a fine line between. She gave the Slytherin boy a half smile in response to his smile, responding to his question rather quickly.

"I find it delightful to wander..." she extended her hand towards him in greeting, a small smile still in place; ever polite "Fawne Sugarmoon."

Ognian Ivanoff - March 24, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
When Fawne extended her hand towards Ognian, he was conflicted. His first response would be to kiss it like a gentlemen should but he wasn't sure what was custom in England. Going with his first compulsion he grasped up her soft hand and placed a light, chaste kiss on the ridges of her knuckles.

"My name is Ognian Ivanoff." He slipped into the heavy accent he had always tried to avoid. He wondered if she. or the boy, noticed him squeeze his eyes shut in minor embarrassment. He disliked his accent, he worried that these fair English would think of him as a Slavic barbarian. "What a pleasure it is to meet you, Miss Sugarmoon."

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 24, 2008 09:58 PM (GMT)
She was pleasantly surprised by his gentleman like response. After all she was raised in a pureblood family, that whilst odd, was still proud of is traditions. In response to his greeting she curtsied in reply before removing her hand from his grasp.

"Its delightful to meet you too Ognian, may i ask where you used to live?" She didn't notice the embarrassed cringe and her curiosity got the better of her, she all way liked to know things. She didn't bother with formalities, although polite she didn't wish to call anyone sir..

Ognian Ivanoff - March 24, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Ognian fought down a blush. Perhaps his response had been proper, and he was pleased to see her curtsy for him. He nibbled on his lower lip for a split second while searching for the right words.

"I was raised in both Bulgaria and Russia, miss." He said slowly, trying not to trip over his words and to keep his accent towards the Anglicized end of the spectrum. "I have only been here for a few months, but I...greatly like it."

Again, he cringed. He knew that his grammar was not very good, but in his head his words strung themselves together gracefully and properly. His mouth was the weak link in the chain; women has always caused him to slip up, even in his native language, and English was the hardest language he'd ever fought to learn.

He nodded quickly, smiling towards his feet. "It is so...beautiful here."

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 24, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
Fawne titled her head slightly to the side as he spoke, a habit she'd never gotten rid off. Grey eyes staring slightly to a point over his shoulder though she was obviously listing to what he was saying. She had always been odd.

She didn't right her heads tilted position as she spoke and her half smile was still in place, it made her seem a little wistful."Please don't call me miss." her voice wasn't mean, in fact its tone didn't change, it was almost like an automatic response. She smiled a little brighter when he commented about his homelands and england's beauty.

"I find that beauty is hidden everywhere, but i am glad you are enjoying England's...Though i rather wonder is the Russian countryside not delightful?"

Ognian Ivanoff - March 24, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
Ognian was not taken aback by her comment. He understood that women might be patronized by being called terms such as "miss". His smile dropped a little and he stuffed his hands into the folds of his robes, standing up straighter.

"I don't remember much about Russia." He looked towards the door of the common room, half expecting someone to come out and chide him for speaking with a Gryffindor. "Things were very hectic while I lived there."

He looked over at the Hufflepuff boy who had stood in silence for a while. He wondered if he was okay, but though it best not to ask.

"Mi..." He began again, but caught himself before he finished the word."Fawne, if I may call you that, what is it that you do here for fun?"

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 24, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
She did notice him stand taller and she partly wandered if she had offended him, but she had not really been in the right mind lately and thought not to ask. In fact half of her mind was constantly worrying about Dorien.

She was going to respond to his comment about Russia but she noticed the change in topic, and decided that perhaps he didn't wish to speak of it. Without pausing to show she had been considering how to reply she continued to speak.

"Oh well i suppose that depends what you find fun, i rather like to wander. Though perhpas you would prefer to read or fly?"

Ognian Ivanoff - March 25, 2008 02:52 AM (GMT)
He raised an eyebrow at her. She seemed so odd to him, very aloof. He wondered in the back of his mind if she though that he'd been trying to make a pass earlier. He hoped she could see he was only trying to make friends in this new school. He did not really want a girlfriend, or boyfriend, to muddle that intention.

"Wandering can be entertaining at times..." He began, voice somewhat low. He took a moment and cleared it. "I rather like to read, but fly, no, I am not at good at flying. Where is your favorite place to wander, Fawne?"

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 25, 2008 07:17 PM (GMT)
Although her eyes were focusing past his head she noticed the raised eyebrow and assumed she'd given off the wrong impression again. Upon first meeting her people assumed she was either odd, stupid or snobby. She would admit to being the odd ball, if she was sane she wouldn't be stood in front of the Slytherin common room in a Gryffindor uniform. As it stood she didn't even bat an eye lid at being there. She was just flighty in mind and soul and she often gave off the wrong impression. As for snobby, Fawne was never intentionally so; she might have spoken in a aloof way but her voice's tones were meant to softened the impact.

In an attempt to right the wrong impression she altered the half smile into something a little brighter, though still as wistful, her head still titled the the side and her hands now playing with a long strand of hair.

"Oh, it is difficult to choose where but the grounds are most delightful to wander. Have you had the chance to explore them?"

Ognian Ivanoff - March 25, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
He found himself smiling a little wider as she smiled at him genuinely. His thoughts drifted to potential house conflicts between a Gryffindor and a Slytherin, but he fought them down. Just because their houses historically hated each other certainly did not mean that they need to be anything less than friends.

"I haven't had the pleasure." He looked down at her, just now realizing how short she was compared to him. He had noticed when they first began talking, however her maturity had quickly overtaken her physical presence. "I'm not much for wandering alone. I usually prefer to spend time with a companion...I'm sorry to be random, but what year are you, Fawne?"

Fawne Sugarmoon - March 25, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
She nodded absently, though it was clear she was paying attention. It seemed as she was just the type of person who was naturally 'off with the fairies' as the saying goes. She righted her head so it was no longer tilted to the side a little and looked up slightly to make up for the height difference.

"Oh, i am a 5th year Gyrffindor, perhaps i could ask the same of you?" she paused as if thinking back on his previous words and trying to think what she'd missed. "If you would like to i could perhaps show you around a little? Or perhaps you prefer to explore the school alone?"

Ognian Ivanoff - March 27, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
"I am a sixth year..." He started, his mind wandering to how behind he was on his school work here in England. His schooling had been seriously disrupted by the constant shuffling around his family did and a great deal of the time it had only been his great uncle teaching him what he ought to know. He was certain that Fawne was more magically adept than he was, and perhaps even some of the younger year students as well. "But only because it would not be proper to put me in with the lower years. " He laughed.

He nodded at the boy again and looked at Fawne, still smiling. He extended his arm to her in as much of a non-condescending way as he could manage while still being gentlemanly. "I would like that very very much. Do you have the time now? I am anxious to get to know this place better. And Hogsmede! I have heard many stories of Hogsmede..."
