Title: Serene.
Description: Open for all :)

April Teagan - May 14, 2008 07:14 PM (GMT)
It was too loud in the castle. April desperately needed to get away from everything, and everybody. Studying, meals, friends... it needed to be put off for awhile. She ventured slowly around the castle, casting glancing into spots she deemed would be a good hiding spot.

Finally, April ended up atthe foot on the Astronomy Tower stairs. She knew the chances she could be alone there were slim to none, but she decided to risk it anyways. She began the labouriously long climb to the top, and upon reaching it, noticed it was deserted. She pumped her fists energetically and slid against one of the walls, hoping to catch a sunset and some peace and quiet.

She brought out a quill and spare parchment, and began to doodle absently, while allowed the last rays of pink sunshine cast thier warmth upon her. She stretched out gloriously into the sunlight, fading quickly, and basked in it.

A few moments later, she could hear the pounding of someone coming to join her on the Tower. She grimaced for a moment, but then was hopeful. Perhaps she could meet someone new. She turned her head expectantly towards the stairs, and waited for the newcomer.

Robyn Singe - May 16, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Robyn bit the peircing in her lip thoughtfully. She wasn't in her robes, although she normally would be. Today she was in her jeans and her black "Kill Hannah" shirt, even tho she didn't even like the band. All her piercings were in, eyebrow, nose, lip, six in each ear, Robyn also wore red and black gloves, the ones that only go to your wrists. She tucked a bit of blonde hair from her face, then sighing took a hair pin and pinned it back.
Robyn didn't like stairs, but loved high places. She was everything like her mother and nothing like her father. She loved it. Ravyn, was every thing like her father, and it bothered Robyn that she couldn't get her twin to like her.
Robyn had been thinking on this since she got here this year. It wasn't exactly fair for Ravyn to treat her like she did and Robyn had decided she wouldn't have it anymore.
Finally Robyn got to the top, she saw some one sitting looking directly at her.
Robyn smiled, looking exactly like Ravyn, "Sorry, I didn't know anybody else was up here. Guess I should have knocked first." Robyn shrugged.

April Teagan - May 16, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
April looked at the girl who appeared at the top of the stairs. Her first impression was a bit freakish for the wizarding world. But in moments, she grew to like the peircings. The girl seemed nice enough, that was for sure.

"It's alright. No need to knock, public place you know..."

April stared at the girl for a second too long, and read her shirt.

"I like your shirt. Good band. Your lip looks cool too," she added, a little curious. She waved the girl over, leaning contentedly against the stone wall again. She tucked the doodle back into her pocket quickly, embarassed of her crude drawings.

"Want to sit? I'm April."

Robyn Singe - May 16, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
Robyn watched April look over at all her piercings, causing her to smirk slightly.
"I know but, I try to be polite sometimes." Robyn shrugged. "And personally, I don't like the band. My friend however, like...worships them or something. So he got me their shirt. I feel obligated to wear it." Robyn fondly spoke of Triston, her closest friend. Robyn came over and sat next to April.
"Robyn, with a Y not an I and lots of people just call me Roby. Except my twin who thinks nicknames are overrated. She hates her name to begin with. Ravyn. I don't see anything wrong with it really." Robyn shrugged, rolling her eyes.

You are rambling, dear. Her tiny voice told her. She ignored it.

April Teagan - May 16, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
April chuckled at the girl's small talk. She was a bit funny, but she seemed unsure of herself. April didn't like that. A person should always be sure of themselves. If you didn't know who you were, and where you were going, what did you know?

"Robyn is a nice name," April said pointedly. "And I believe I've met your sister... so it seems, your mother did have a thing for birds..." She trailed off, and laughed.

"So tell me about this friend whose obsessed with Kill Hannah. Because they must have some good taste."

Robyn Singe - May 17, 2008 12:32 PM (GMT)
"You met her? The queen of living hell? I'm really sorry." Robyn winked, showing she was joking.
"Okay, so Mr.obessive's name is Triston and he is my best friend from New York. We move around alot. Anyway, he is really stupid but fun to hang out with. Like, we have this thing where he says 'I stalk you!' and I say 'Oh my Gosh!! I stalk you too!!' and he would say 'So you're the person in the bush!' it's stupid stuff like that. Umm, looks wise he's the cutest guy in New York but for me kissing him would be like kissing a brother, ew. Brown hair, over the eyes, amazing blue eyes, average height, really strong, umm... I tihnk thats it. My other friend Alana dates him. Those two together is really weird." Robyn shrugged, but wore a grin.
"So what about you? I mean I'm sure you have stupid stories about some of your friends."

April Teagan - May 17, 2008 02:41 PM (GMT)
April laughed at Robyn's ridiculous story about Triston. From New York? April hadn't been to America in years. She was more curious about that than her own friends from back home.

"Oh, you know, we do the normal stuff. My best friend, who lives next door to me back home, is a bit of a goof. He's a great seeker though, and we always play in my backyard. His name is Tyler. One time we were player, and we let the bludgers fly around for fun, and i threw the quaffle... well it hit a bludger, and knocked the bludger into his nose... It wasn't pretty, let me tell you."

April laughed at the stupid memory.

"Enough about me, seriously. I want to hear about New York. I haven't been there since I was a little kid."

Robyn Singe - May 18, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
"I don't play quiditch. I'm not allowed too." Robyn told her, looking like a small child who had just been told she had "cooties".
"My dad hates it." Robyn shrugged.

"But New York? It's noisy, and never dark, and there's ALWAYS a party going on. I've had my fair share of parties, those are fun. Especially if you get your best friend drunk as hell. Not Triston, Donovan. Oh that's fun! He's already an idiot but that just makes things a bit fun." Robyn grinned and realized what they were talking about. "Aww crap, sorry I didn't ask, are you okay with underage drinking? 'Cause if you're not and you plan on telling my sister I'll shut up."
OOC: I don't drink.
IC: "But really, New York is pretty kick butt awesome." Robyn grinned.

April Teagan - May 18, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
OOC- Neither do I, but Slytherins do ;)

IC-

April seemed like Robyn was quite the party animal. She liked that, a lot. She felt like she connect more with her rtaher than her sister, who was more anti-social. She knew whom she liked better, even though they were twins.

"Underage drinking? Let's go for it! Firewhiskey has definately proved to be a good friend, if you know what I mean. The Muggle stuff isn't bad either, I'm sure you've tried. Besides, it's hardly underage around here now for me."

OOC- drinking age is 16 in britian, isnt it?

IC-

April sighed and looked over the Tower. The sun was beginning to set. It was quiet and peaceful and she liked the atmosphere Robyn brought with her.

"So, you're in Slytherin, I presume. Your sister is, anyways. How old are you?"

Robyn Singe - May 18, 2008 10:57 PM (GMT)
OOC: No Idea, I live in a town where you start drinking at like 13. Yea, it's that hillbilly. -_-
IC:
"Yea, my friends are all muggle so can't let them experience the wonder of firewhiskey. I prefer wine, or champagne but the ocassional beer is appreciated." Robyn winked, grinning.
"Yea, I'm in Slytherin although I think I only got in 'cause I can be cynical if I REAAAALLLLLYYYY want to. I'm really not cruel or anything. And I'm fourteen. Sadly, it is still illegal for me to drink. London, and New York." Robyn smirked, "But that has yet to stop me!" She rolled her eyes.

April Teagan - May 18, 2008 11:06 PM (GMT)
"Cheers to that, mate! Breaking laws is where it's at, that's my belief."

She stared at the girl for a moment too long, trying to decide where exactly she did fit into Slytherin She seemed nice enough, yet, April did too at first glance.

"You know, I'm not sure why I'm in Slytherin either sometimes. My whole family except my sister is though, and I don't think I'd fit in anywhere else. Not bookwormish, I'm not an outcast like Hufflepuffs... and I'm not family traitor." She was referring to being in Gryffindor. She hoped Robyn would catch on.

"So, I have to ask. If you don't listen to Kill Hannah, what do you listen to?"

Robyn Singe - May 18, 2008 11:28 PM (GMT)
Robyn laughed and shook her head at April. "Yea, cheers!"
She then waited patiently till April was done staring. Robyn was used to being stared at.
"If that's what huffle's and gryffie's really are, then I should be in one or the other. My family hates me. And I'm basically.. an outcast. A polite outcast." Robyn rolled her eyes.
An outcast? No you are a social bird!
Thanks?

"Okay, if you laugh I'll kill you. I love love love LOVE 80's everything. The music, the clothes, all of it. It's great!" Robyn grinned, "I should just live back there!"

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 12:09 AM (GMT)
OOC- 80's, furreal? Or just in character? I like the 90's but... I'm really into Lil Wayne right now. Weird phase.

IC-

"80's huh? I'm more into the 90's, you know. Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind... old school hip hop. I like that stuff."

April thought about it for a second. She didn't know too much about 80's music, at all. Except that they did a lot of drugs.

"I'm not too up to date on 80's music, but I don't fancy thier hairstyles much. They were sort of... freaks, a bit. Not too insult you, or anything."

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
OOC: Oh my geez I love the 80's and the 90's! Not really the hair styles but the clothing styles from the 80's are great! I'm really into Taylor Swift right now, and I don't realy even like country music...

IC:

"The 90's aren't really my favorite. But, I am kinda a picking person. A bit.. OCD. Not just a bit. I'm EXTREMELY OCD." Robyn grinned and rolled her eyes.

OCC: I'm not at all.

IC:

"Yea, their hair... we won't go into. Bt their CLOTHES! I love them. That and.." Robyn pointed to her hair, "Scene kid stuff. Love it." Robyn let the painted black fingernails drop and she pulled her knees to her chest.
"But I've been insulted plenty of times, I don't even notice anymore." Robyn grinned.

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
OOC- everyone likes taylor swift, even if you hate country. i hate scene kids. they annoy me. so much. but i wont hate on you. :)

IC-

"The scene stuff looks cute on you, I must agree. At least your hair isn't in one of those... awkward 80's hairdos. I'd have a major issue. I don't thin kthey'd let you in..." she trailed off.

"So, what's up with the OCD stuff? What are so... OCD about, exactly?"

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 08:10 PM (GMT)
OOC: I like scene kids :( some of my closest friends are scene. Or emo. Or gothic. It's...weird.

IC:

"Well thank you very much. I am in love with cutting hair, styling hair, dyeing hair. Love it. But you don't think they'd let me in? Well, I did have to
pay a few thousand to let them stand my piercings." Robyn grinned, and winked, "Nah, I'm kidding."

"But Over Compulsive Disorder means everything has got to be in my order. Like, in my room at home, as soon as I got into my room I would
know if anything was moved. I would also freak out. And when I'm writing a song, if I've put down my pen it has to be absolutely straight and on
the margin line. The one near the holes. Three lines down. Just little stuff like that. Crooked things drive me insane... but that's basically it." Robyn
shrugged and bit her lip piercing. "Any strange things about you?"

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
OOC- It's obsessive compulsive disorder. not to be a smart ass. i'm actually studying it in psychology right now. ;)

IC-

"Eek! Don't you come near my hair with scissors! I love it long," April said sternly, playing absently with strands of her hair. It was getting to be too long, almost, but April hated to cut it.

"Weird things... about me... Hm. I guess. I'm a history fanatic. Wizard history, Muggle history... whatever, I just like it. I'm not sure why... maybe someday I'll be a teacher or something. But I really like it. It's a weird obsession, I know."

April paused to take a breath of cool, night air. She was very relaxed right now, watching the sun set and talking to a new friend. It was very calming after a hectic day.

"Nice sunset... don't you think?"

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 10:40 PM (GMT)

OOC: Oh! Sorry! :)
IC:
"I promise I won't touch your hair! I used to have really long hair. I cut it like... last year." Robyn grinned and shrugged, "Donated it."
Robyn listened to April talk about her interest.
"Geez I could get your help with history. I am HORRID at it!" Robyn sighed, "I have almost failed it, muggle and Wizard, every time I take it."
She stared at the sunset, looking at the precious colors. She silently wanted her sister to see it. Her sister may not love Robyn, but Robyn
loved her, and she knew that Ravyn loved to paint.
"Really pretty... not like at home."

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
April privately agreed. This sunset was bright and vivid, not even like her memories from Essex.

"I used to go out on my lawn and watch the clouds go by until the turned into pastel colors... all running together into purples and reds and bright orange. My sister always called it a waste of time but I think it's sort of... life changing. Doesn't it make you seem so... insignificant?"

April realized that she had rambled a lot. She wasn't usually likely to go into her deep thoughts. But she had always known she was a little on the philosophical side. It was part of who she was. That came from her dad's side, she knew.

She looked at Robyn again. She was lost in her own thoughts, she knew that. It reminded her of when April had met her twin; Ravyn. These girls were clealy nothing alike, but April couldn't help but notice that Ravyn had been a bit too critical about Robyn. Robyn seemed the kinder of the two souls, in April's opinion.

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
Robyn listened to her words, a smile approaching her lips. She pulled out her wand, and mumbled a spell, causing a notebook to pop into her lap, a white pen laying neatly on top.
Robyn flung it open and began to write words. She then realized that this must look strange.
"I write songs. Erm.. music and sing and all of that. I find inspiration, I write about it. The whole, insignifigant thing, it's just so..." Robyn closed her eyes thinking for the words, "I hate using this word but it's so good! You're kinda a poet and I'm sure you didn't know it." Robyn winked and then continued to write.

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
OOC- I do write good poetry, or so they tell me ;)

IC-

April didn't want to be rude, but she sneaked a peek at the notebook. She could see that Robyn had written a lot of things inside it, the pages seemed full.

"What do you write about, exactly? Or is it a private thing, this song writing?"

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
OOC: Me too! Just.. I haven't in a while.
IC:

"Not exactly private. But, I write about whatever I feel like. You wouldn't want to see the ones a couple of years back tho. That;s about the time I finally understood about my parents splitting up and then my mother killing herself. I was so depressed. The songs scare me now, but I keep them so I know never to go back in that hole." Robyn shrugged, not many people heard about that.
"But, I write about my friends emotions more than mine. Because writing about mine is waaaay to difficult. I'm so confusing I've gone through six psychologists."

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
OOC- I write for my creative writing class, so I'm forced to write sometimes. But right now I'm writing a story, wicked long. Ironically... it's called April. ;)

April laughed, although she wasn't sure if that was the right response to Robyn's comments. She felt sorry that both sisters could casually talk about thier mother's death. She didn't even know if it was right or wrong to offer her condolences. She decided it would be proper.

"I'm sorry about your mother, by the way. That must have been unimaginably devasting for you and your family." She hung her head, but cracked a smile out of the edge of her mouth.

"On the bright side, at least you're keeping the psychologists in business, huh?" She winked, hoping Robyn wouldn't take offense to that. April's mom had tried to make her go to a shrink once. It hadn't gone over well. It goes without saying that April had never stepped into the office.

Robyn Singe - May 20, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
OOC: We don't have a writing class at my school. :(

IC:

Robyn sighed, her eyes fading.
"My entire family acted like it was freakin' Christmas. It made me sick. They were all WOO! More money! Ugh." Robyn huffed and relaxed her legs, stretching them out. "Sorry. Just. I being around my family by the way they act. Everything is about money. And it's aweful, I don't fit in because I don't even care about money." Robyn grinned, "And yea I guess I do keep them in business."

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
OOC- I love it. It's so fun, it's the easiest class ever. :)

IC-

April contemplated about that. Sher herself was very rich, of course, but she never thought of how others may view it. She was never greedy, only spoiled.

"They fight over money? I think your sister mentioned... something about a will. That's pretty ridiculous, not to judge. I've always had money, so I don't put too much thought to it, I guess. You seem well taken care of though."

April stared over the tower's edge. The sun was almost set now. She felt bad for Robyn, although she didn't think the girl wanted pity at all. That didn't seem to be her style at all. Robyn was edgy but in a calm, kind manner; April liked that.

Robyn Singe - May 20, 2008 10:43 PM (GMT)
OOC: Jealous.

IC:
Robyn shrugged, "Yea my dad's will. My sister thinks I'm in this race like all these others. I really really don't care. And you're right it is really ridiculous." Robyn stared out the window,
"I am well taken care of but I like to make my own money and spend my own money, so it doesn't seem like I need my fathers money." Robyn grinned, "But my friend Alana seems to thrive on our fortunes. It funny."

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
"Alana? What do you mean, she lives off your fortunes?" April laughed. She had a few friends like that. She always felt like her friends liked her only for her money. It may be true, she didn't know. She did tend to spoil those close to her.

"Does she take money from you, or something? Cause I got friends like that."

Robyn Singe - May 20, 2008 11:03 PM (GMT)
"Well, her family isn't exactly....rich. So I let her basically have my credit card. I don't care. And I know she doesn't love me for my money, 'cause I myself don't have much money."Robyn shrugged, "But we go on shopping spree's and stuff. She just blows all my allowance, and I save my earned cash. Her and Ameria my other friend. But Ameria is rich. So, I dunno why she spends my money..." Robyn rolled her eyes, "But I love them anyway!"

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 11:34 PM (GMT)
April contemplated her words. It was nice of Robyn to share her money. April did that, of course, but it was refreshing to see the trait in someone else as well. April wasn't one to deny her friends a gift or two, but she did pride herself in having more money. She usually bragged about it, but seeing as it may be a sensitive topic with Robyn, she refrained.

"Sometime, I'll take you on a shopping spree, and we can spend all my galleons! Daddy will love that, I'm sure. But it'll be a gift from me, to you, for all your gifts to your other friends. Maybe your sister... would want to come. I doubt it though."

April stopped and thought. She knew who would get the inhertance money in her family; she would, not her sister. But April would share, maybe not fairly, but she would. She could't let her sister go poor and tarnish the family name.

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
Robyn grinned, "Alright, I'll shopping spree with you. But I shop at some weird stores, so we gotta remember I'm half new yorker." Robyn winked, and then rolled her eyes, "According to my sister, going to stores is for poor people. Why leave your home when you can bring them to you? She's also an idiot so we're good." Robyn shrugged, "I think it would be fun tho."

OOC: Writers distraction, thinking about something else I'm gonna write...

April Teagan - May 21, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
"She seems a bit.. greedy and spoiled, don't you think? I don't think you guys are alike at all! How are you even... twins? It's like you're completely opposite people."

April thought about that for a minute.

"I think you were secretly adopted," April joked, and nudged Robyn playfully

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
"She IS greedy and spolied, and to add on she's a flipping brat! We aren't alike, at all. We are only twins because we were born from the same mother and at basically the same time. She's the older one." Robyn grinned, "I bet she WAS adopted and we just weren't told! Well! How dare they lie to me!!" Robyn laughed.
"I think I've been missing my dose of drama, I haven't seen Alana in ages." She shrugged.

April Teagan - May 21, 2008 12:25 AM (GMT)
April laughed hard at Robyn's comments. She was pretty funny, actually. It was hard to see her face, it was so dark, but she knew she must be smiling as wide as April was.

"So, she doesn't go here. Is she in New York? Let me guess; she's a Muggle?" April asked, shuddered a bit. She didn't have too many Muggle friends. She tended to draw away from them. But then again, her family was all purebloods, so that may be where she got her distate for them from.

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 12:32 AM (GMT)
Robyn ignored the shudder of April when she said Muggle. Most of Robyn's friends were muggles.
"She doesn't go here. She IS from New York, and yes she is Muggle. Most of my friends are Muggles. They really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. My dad hates them tho, that's why I love having so many!" Robyn grinned, "I love driving my dad and my sister insane."

April Teagan - May 21, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
"I really don't have any muggle friends. Growing up in a pureblood family doesn't constitute having friends outside the wizarding community... but I don't have much against them, personally. My family isn't much of muggle fans, except my sister. She's in Gryffindor. She's a muggle lover. "

April took a deep breath. She hated talking about her sister, it angered her.

"But, no more about her. Does Alana know that you're a... witch?"

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
"You're sister is a muggle lover? I can see that that's not really good... My dad would litterally disown me. No joke. But he already hates me like my sister, and I could just go live with Ameria so I would be good." Robyn smirked and shrugged,
"And.. no Alana doesn't know. Neither does Triston or Brandon and Ameria is a witch. She's home-schooled." Robyn shrugged, "We're a real close bunch but we all know there are some things we just don't talk about. Like, did that just levatate?" Robyn laughed, "Okay that NEVER happens but, I don't even think the guys would notice."

April Teagan - May 21, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
"Oh, of course not. I mean, normal Muggles don't notice magic, right in front of thier eyes! Doesn't it bother you, though, that your friends don't know? It seems like a person like yourself would find it hard to keep such a secret from them... although I'd be able to do it well."

April paused for a moment, but said nothing. She just looked at Robyn, trying to judge her response before she got it.

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 12:57 AM (GMT)
Robyn grinned, "Well I'm good at keeping secrets. I may not seem like it but I am good at it." She shrugged, "And it doesn't bother me much. I'll tell them someday, but not now. They think I'm crazy enough with a voice in my head." Robyn looked up,"Um. Um. Did I say that outloud?" Robyn asked, realizing that she had mentioned she had a voice.

April Teagan - May 21, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
April exploded with laughter, though she wasn't sure if it was a joke or not.

"You...hear...a voice..in your...head?!" she managed to choke out between bursts of laughter. She coughed. "Sorry, sorry, do you really? That's not... normal, is it?"

April gave Robyn a sidelong glances. Voices was not too good of a thing to have, even if you were a witch or wizard. April had a feeling it was the girl's own thouhgts with a different voice.

Robyn Singe - May 21, 2008 10:31 PM (GMT)
Robyn had expected it. She'd expected April to laugh, Gawd even Triston laughed and he had been closer to Robyn than anybody else.
"Yes I do. Yes I really do and no it isn't normal." Robyn smirked, "Trust me, I'm not insane 'cause my sister's got one too. And NO it isn't just
me having silly thoughts because I'm not a jerk who tells myself about manners. I REALLY don't care about manners but the little voice does,
so it freakin' tells me about them every bloody second."
I do not!
Robyn put her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands. "But you think I'm crazy, don't you?" Robyn asked, raising her eyebrows
