OOC: I'm pretending that this was before Harshing was sacked.

IC:

*Melanie was standing just outside of the courtyard doors, like she had promised Aiden she would be. It was particularly windy today, so along with her shirt, tie, and skirt, she was wearing a dark grey, wool coat. She was staring at the ground a few feet in front of her, barely noticing that the wind was whipping her long brown hair around her face.

She hated Harshing. Normally she would only say that she hated people, but this was real. There were only four people in the world that she had ever felt pure hate for- her father, Wittle, Sentinus (later on), and Harshing. On top of the fact that he kidnapped her son and had no intentions of bringing him back to her, he was torturing her, and now, just because he knew it would make things worse for her, he decided to make her the other "Replacement". That's what she felt like anyway. Harshing had this plan to stop students from being gay by forcing them to be part of heterosexual couples. It was pointless in every way. On top of it, the boy Harshing put her with, Aiden, was Tristan's ex. She still wasn't sure how it would end up...if Tristan would be glad that Aiden was with someone that he knew and trusted or if he would be even more unhappy with her. She sighed and looked up at the sky, squinting at the light from the sun.*

*That's when Aiden showed up. He, unlike Mel, had no idea who he was supposed to be meeting, but he knew why, when, and where. He didn't know why he wasn't just allowed to know- 'Oh' He thought in realization when he saw he was standing in the place where he and his future girlfriend were supposed to meet.

She was friend's with Tristan...Melanie, her name was. He only knew it on account of the fact that her reputation among the 6th years was...well....it was quite a reputation, though it was nothing but the truth.

He walked up to her, a bit nervous. He had never actually talked to her or anything. He ran a hand through his hair as he greeted her*

Aiden:"Melanie...Hi...um, I'm Aiden."

*Melanie quickly looked over at him and smiled as best she could*

Melanie:"Yeah...I know." *she turned so she was completely facing him*"I'm...sorry Harshing put you with me. I know I'm probably the last person you ever wanted to be with." *she looked down at the ground, embarrassed. It seemed like everybody liked her even less now than they did before.*

*Aiden felt bad for the girl, which surprised him. He thought she would be doing something...stupid by now. It seemed as if he was almost guilty.*

Aiden:"No, no, you're not." *he tried to assure her.*"Don't worry. You're extremely pretty, and Tristan's said some good things about you."

*Melanie gave him an exasperated look. That is a horrific lie. she thought.*

Melanie:"Hah." *she replied, not caring how standoffish it was.*

Aiden:"Fine, go ahead and make things difficult, I was trying to make this work out."

*At this, Mel lost the rude expression for a new one, rather, a hopeful one.*

Melanie:"You're actually want to take this...like a real relationship?"

Aiden:"Of course. I'm not looking to waste time."

Melanie:"Well then, I suppose I'll be nice." *she joked, smirking*

*he smiled.*

Aiden:"That saves a lot of work on my part, then."

OOC: I'm going to continue this topic, don't worry. That would be way too horrible of an ending. lol.
