Jogging up the steps that lead toward the Owlery Rebecca couldn't help but feel a little ashamed of herself. She hadn't come to visit or even see Emma, her owl, in ages. Of course most people wouldn't think it was such a problem, after all they were just animals. Though to Rebecca she knew she counted on Emma for her communication with the people she cared about most. And to her that was a very important job. So that was the reason why last weekend Rebecca had made her way to Hogsmeade to buy a treat for Emma. Something she knew her owl long deserved.
Shaking her thoughts Rebecca tucked her brown hair out of her heart shaped face noticing she had finally met the end of her destination. Looking around she took in all the owls sleeping, lounging or flying around and she smiled to herself. It wasn't everyday you saw so many together unless you were in the Great Hall on post day.
A small laugh slipped from her lips as she thought about the colliding packages and owls. It was quite a sight she had to admit. As Rebecca thought this she moved her head from side to side searching up above for her owl. Not noticing Emma she called out to her. Eventually the barn owl swooped down onto her outstretched arm and Rebecca couldn't help the smile that brightened her face.
"Well hello there Emma, long time no see," she spoke while digging in the pocket of her Hogwarts cloak. "I have something for you...I know I brought it-" Pausing for a moment she glanced up to Emma just in time to see someone walking through the open doorway. Smiling a little Rebecca said, "Oh hello."
OOC: Bad post....lol.
Eliana muttered to herself as she un-rolled the parchment in her hand and read her own writing back to her just to be sure it wasn't anything her mother could complain about. Honestly she loved her mother but she tended to not like it when she told her what to do. Don't be mistaken Eliana was no rebel but she liked a bit to live by her own terms and no one else's. She tied the parchment and walked in the owlery when she heard someone greet her. Not seeing anything but the girl's back she just greeted back,"Hello"
She approached the closest of the owls, this one was light brown and pluffy. "Hey there would you like to send something for me." at this the owl hooted.
Eliana smiled to herself and stroked the feathers on the bird. "Your quite adorable"
She said before she looked at the person who greeted her earlier and noticed she was a hufflepuff a bit younger than her. "Is that your own own owl?"
As the girl continued walking into the room replying with her own hello Rebecca smiled and turned back to her task she had started. Trying to find Emma's treat. After thoroughly searching the first pocket she went on to the next sighing in relief when she felt her hand collide with the treat’s she had bought. Pulling them out she held them out for Emma who instantly took one and began to enjoy. Laughing quietly at her owl Rebecca began to stroke her back gently waiting for her to finish.
At the sound of the girls voice Rebecca's blue eyes watched the exchange between her and another owl. As the other asked the owl about sending her letter Rebecca assumed the girl must not have her own. Glancing at her own barn owl she knew she was lucky to have Emma. She knew she wouldn't be to survive without the communication she brought and sent.
Shaking her thoughts away Rebecca looked back up to the girl when she was addressed about her owl. Smiling Rebecca nodded. "Yes she is, her name is Emma," she replied just as she felt Emma nip her hand. Shaking her head good naturedly she held out her hand that held the treats as Emma gratefully took another. "Do you have your own owl? Or maybe some other pet?"
