Title: Lesson 1
Description: Antidotes

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 17, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
Gen walked into her empty classroom. It was all hers and she planned to make the best out of it. She made sure all of the chairs were pushed in under the tables. She liked thinsg to be neat and clean. She then walked up to the board and wrote:

Hello. I am Professor Rasmuse!

Make sure you have these items with you:

Cauldron
Glass or crystal phials
Mortor and pestle

Also, Write the answer to this question on a piece of parchment when you arrive!

Name 3 Antidotes and what they cure. They can be ingredients or potions.

She took a step back and reviewed what she had just written. Pleased with herself, she went to the back and pulled out the items she had written on the board, plus some ingredients, and placed them at the front of the room. After doing so she sat at her desk at the front of the room and waited for the students to arrive.

Nana Dirks'n - May 17, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
Nana was the first student to walk into the new teacher's potion's class. Her classroom was so empty that it was almost scary. The teacher look familiar but Nana couldn't place where she had last seen her. Nana followed the instructions on the board and rumaged through her bag for her phails. Then she unearthed her parchment and had to look through again for her quill (and ink). After getting all of her things out she started to write the answer to the question on the board.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 17, 2008 08:48 PM (GMT)
Gen saw the first student walk in. She reckognized her at once. "Hey Nana! How are you!" Gen said. She walked up to where Nana was sitting. "We met at Hogsmeade, remember? Well anyways. Im your teacher now! I promise to be nice though! You better start the assignment on the board!" Gen said this to Nana and then went back to her desk.

Nana Dirks'n - May 17, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
Nana was so shocked that her new potions teacher was he woman who had thrown a dungbomb at April. She could feel her mouth drop open. Gen seemed to be feeling better now though, should she be calling her professor now??? Nana tried to think about the questions but she couldn't get over Gen being the professor.

Rebecca Emery - May 17, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
Rebecca strode into the dungeons and down the long narrow hallway to potions. As her shoes clicked on the cold concrete Rebecca had to admit that potions had never been her strong point or favorite class. Even so she knew it was one she could sit through without falling completely insane. Unlike some other classes she knew.

Smiling slightly at the thought she walked into the classroom and immediately sought a chair. Glancing around she noticed the teacher was conversing with another student so she quietly took a seat in one of the middle rows and pulled out her chair.

Sitting down she noticed the board up front had been written on. Examining it with her blue eyes she bit her lip as she read the last line. Name 3 Antidotes and what they cure, she read over in her head her mind now racing as she took out her parchment and quill. This should be easy enough, Rebecca thought with one more glance up as she began to write.

April Teagan - May 18, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
April headed down to the dungeons, already comfortable i nthe dank hallways, dimly lit. She held a small cauldron, some quills and ink, parchment, her crystal phials, and a mortor and pestle. A Potions Book was tucked under her arm. She entered the Potions room, and a smile lit up on her face.

"Gen! I mean... Professor...Rasmuse...!" April corrected, stuttering over the awkward last name. "From Hogsmeade, remember?"

She placed her book on the table along with her other belongings, and slid out the chair and sat down, but then bounced up again. She was excited for Gen to be her professor, and for her first class of the year here. She was smiling from ear to ear, which hadn't happened in a long time.

"Feeling better?" She winked. "You look a bit better, anyways. So, you got the job?"

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 18, 2008 12:53 AM (GMT)
Gen was sitting at her desk when a familiar face walked in. 'Hi April! Yes I feel much better and I did get the job!" Gen sat down her paper she was reading and stood up in front of April. "Well Nana has already arrived in the class so you could go take a seat by her if you like, or where ever you want. Do the assignment on the board and then we will hopefully begin soon when more students arive. I promise Im going to make this class fun!" Gen smile and patted April on the shoulder then went and sat back down in her chair. She went back to reading the paper.

April Teagan - May 18, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
April took her seat, noticing she was only a few away from Nana, and another girl she didn't know. She didn't say anything to either of them, but rather dipped her quill in ink and wrote the question on the parchment.

"Starting work right away, then?" She asked Gen quickly, scribbling the first antidote on the parchment. She thought for another second, and wrote the next one.

Bezoar she wrote for the final answer, and put her quill down, satisfied. She hated the written potions work. April just loved concocting potions and antidotes, or making really anything. It was a science she was very accomplished at, and she prided herself in it.

She looked up to see if anyone else was working, or was down. Nana was definately still working, and she wasn;t sure if the other girl, a Ravenclaw, was thinking or daydreaming.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 18, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
"Yes please. Once you have finished, please paitently wait for the other students to arrive. I am going to call ona few of you, once class starts, to name off what you have written down, so be prepared." Gen ruffled teh newspaper a bit and began to read.

Anabelle Anderson - May 18, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
Ana walked into the dungeon that always creeped her out and took a seat. She was okay at Potions, not great, but okay. WIth it being her 6th year, she really wanted to work hard to prove herself.

She pulled out a piece of parchment paper and her favorite quill and pondered the question on the board. For a minute, she felt completely pathetic before the answer finally came to her.

She began writing neatly but, as always, as the information came and she wrote faster, her writing became sloppier. She hoped that for this assignment, she would be the only one to have to read it.

Nana Dirks'n - May 18, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
Nana finaly remembered what the antidotes were and wrote them done before they wer lost to more random daydreams. She turned aound and saw another girl walk in the unusually empty classroom. Everyone seemed not to want to sit next to anyone else (besides April that is). The potions room was eerily quiet while they waited for the other students.

Muchia Dawson - May 19, 2008 03:52 AM (GMT)
*Muchia walked strolled into the potions classroom 5 minutes before the class actualy started. He made a mental note to leave 5 minutes later next time. Though potions was probably the only class that he didn't like to be late in he still felt that there was no need to be 5 whole minutes early. Still, scince he was here he might as well make use of his time.

He sat next to a girl he recognized from his house and got to work on the instructions on the board. Potions was the only class that he didn't have with his friend John and it was probably because of this that potions was a class he excelled at. He finished writing about 3 antidotes in a mtter of moments and looked at the girl next to him. He thought her name was nana but wasn't sure. Only one way to find out he thought.*

Muchia: Hey there. Nana isn't it?

Valentina Greysoul - May 19, 2008 04:46 PM (GMT)
valentina ran down the coridors in the dangeons.
she was already in a bad mood for the way she woke up (her allarm clock rang in her ear) , so she was hoping that today's first lesson would improve her mood.
she swang her arm round the door and made the sort of entrance which was more knowingly called "The Dinamic Entry".
seeing as the class was only half full, she blushed a kind of bright pink and went over to sit by a Hufflepuff that she knew well.
"hey, Rebecca!" she saluted as she sat down on her chair.
she swung her head to look at the neat, pretty looking teacher who was sitting behind the teacher's tabel.
t-three ingredients? she mumbled in her head.
she ripped open her school bag, looking for a quill and parchment.
her head was already stumbling for answers.
she wrote down on the parchment, with a trembeling hand:
AGRIMONY
One of the few magic herbs believed to reverse a jinx, curse, or hex after it has been put on you.

ALOES POWDER
Used in a graveyard bottle spell to silence the lips of those who speak evil lies.

she had read them when she was small from her fathers book.
but she was stubling over the last one.
she looked desperately at the teacher infront of her.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 19, 2008 07:46 PM (GMT)
Gen put her newspaper down and studied the class. There were three hufflepuff students, two slytherin students, and one ravenclaw student. Gen sighed and stood up and addressed the class.
"Hello all Im Professor Rasmuse. We will start class now, even though there are only six of you." Gen was pacing the desks, smiling at the students as she passed. "I am also very disappointed that there are no students from my own house: Gryffindor. Shame Shame." Gen said with a giggle. "Any student that enters late will not be punished. They will just have a lot of catch up tp do."

"Now I hope you all took the liberty of writing down the answers to the question I wrote on the board. This is just a fun little exercise I will be doing at the beginning of every class. Dont try to over do yourself with the answers. It shouldnt take you no longer than five or ten minuted to complete each assignment." Gen walked back to the front of the room.

"Now also each day after writing the assignment down, I will call on three of you to give me one answer, and make sure you dont say the same answer as another student. Now, who wants to name an antidote and what it cures?" Gen stood back and waitied for someone to raise their hand.

OOC: Anyone can answer. You dont have to raise your hand. Just post the answer like I called on you. Once three people post an answer, we will move on!

April Teagan - May 19, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
"A bezoar," April answered immediately. "It can cure almost any poison."

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 19, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
"Correct! Good job April!" Gen smiled at april and clapped her hands. "Thats the kind of answers I want students! Simple answers just to refresh your mind and get ready for something harder! Now I need two more answers and then we can go on to that more difficult task!" Gen said eagerly. She loved being a teacher. Especially if the students enjoy the class...which Gen hoped they did.

Valentina Greysoul - May 19, 2008 08:40 PM (GMT)
Valentina was soon enjoying this class.
the potion teacher was an awsome entertainer with practical experience.

before she knew it, she shot her hand in the air, missing Rebecca by a few inches.
"Allspice!" she shouted, clearly without realising.
" it tends to affect the mind and thoughts of the person on whom it's used! it can clear or meddle thought and can cause paiful visions of the past and affect the person within this Jinx! It can be related to torture, most of the time!"

when she noticed she had shouted it, she gasped and plushed.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 19, 2008 08:46 PM (GMT)
Gen had a wide grn upon her face. She could tell that the students were enjoying themselves. "Very good Valentina! That was a more tricky answer. I respect your knowledge and effort! 5 points to Slytherin!"

Gen clasped her hands together. "Now one more answer and we can get on to the good stuff! C'mon dont be shy now!" Gen was pacing the room with her hands clasped behind her back awating another answer.

Muchia Dawson - May 19, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
Muchia: Ashwinder eggs cure malaria

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 19, 2008 09:04 PM (GMT)
"Very good! Im so proud of you all! Good work! Now for the fun stuff!" Gen walked back to her desk and pulled out 4 jars with 4 different ingredients in them. "Now I want you all to come up and get some of each ingredient and take them back to your table. After doing so, you may work with a partner, but I need each of you to brew your own, ok? Now I will write the directions on the board for you. Take your time, time is no issue here. Just do your best.!"

Gen walked to the chalk board and wrote:

Boil Cure Potion

Ingredients: dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, stewed horned slugs, porcupine quills (added after taking the cauldron off the fire)

Mix the ingredients in slowly and one at a time. Let each ingredient dissolve thoroughly before adding the next.

Note:
If the porcupine quills are added before the cauldron is taken off the fire, the mixture produces clouds of acid green smoke and a loud hissing, melts the cauldron, and burns holes in people's shoes! So watch out!

Also it should be a green bubbling concoction when finished!

OOC: I will move on when each student has posted a couple paragraphs on the process of making your potions and what the outcome is! Thanks! You also may chit chat quietly with one another!

Muchia Dawson - May 19, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
*Muchia walked quickly up to the ingrediants and grabbed some of each and then returned to his cauldron. He began to follow the instruction on th board without bothering to search for a partner. Someone would find him. Someone always did.

Rebecca Emery - May 19, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Once Rebecca had finished answering the question up on the board she quickly read over her answers nodding when she felt content with what she had written. When she looked up though to the entrance of the classroom she watched a familiar face walk through in a dramatic entrance. Smiling with a shake of her head she knew that was exactly how Valentina was. As she watched her friend make her way toward her with a greeting Rebecca's smile widened as she greeted back with her own hello as the professor began to speak.

Once the professor asked for the answers Rebecca's hand shot in the air but as the next few minutes passed on she let it fall back to her side as the other students all answered correctly. Slightly disappointed Rebecca kept it well hidden as the Professor began to write up their assignment for the day. Her blue eyes scanning the neat hand writing she bit her lip glad they could work in partners. The minute she was finished reading was the minute she walked up and grabbed her ingredients. Making her way back to her table she glanced over at Valentina with a smile.

"So you mind if we partner up?" She asked hopefully.

Robyn Singe - May 19, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Robyn knew she was late. You could count on Robyn to be late. She had to force herself to keep from crying this morning, seeing as today was what she call "Death Day", it was when her mother killed herself. She did her best to look like she hadn't been crying but that hadn't worked well.
Robyn slid into class cooly, knowing how aweful she looked.
"Sorry I'm late." She mumbled and slid into the chair near April.
"Did I miss much? What are we doing?" Robyn ask, hoping that April wouldn't mention how she looked.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 19, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
Gen was walking around her classroom watching the students brew their potions. She noticed that Robyn had just walked in. She had met and talked to her at the Spring Formal and figured shed say hi. She walked up to the desk where she just sat down.

"Hi Roby! Welcome. You didnt miss much. Just start making the potion thats on the board and youll be fine." Gen smiled down at her and put a hand on her shoulder. She could tell something was wrong with her but didnt bring it up seeing as how it would call for an embarassing situation.

Gen gave her a coy smile to let her know that she knew something was wrong. She hoped that her facial gesture would let her know that she could come talk to Gen whenever she needed to. Gen felt she owed Roby for helping her out at the Spring Formal.

Anabelle Anderson - May 20, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
Ana set her parchment aside and slowly rose to collect her ingredients.

When she got back to her desk, she began to work diligently. Concentrating as much as she could, she payed attention to each step, sure to not mess up.

She added the ingredients one by one and watched them dissolve. While she watched the third ingredient mix into the concoction, her eyes got lost in the potion. She started thinking about home and wondering how her brother was doing.

Snapping out of it quickly, she realized that she almost added the porcupine quills before the cauldron was off the fire. It gave her a bit of a scare, but she immediately removed it from the heat and continued on.

"Way to go, Ana, making a fool of yourself again, I see?" she thought to herself, mentally smacking herself over the head.

Muchia Dawson - May 20, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
*Muchia followed the instructions on the board perfectly. He added each of the ingrediants one after the other waiting just long enough for the prior ingrediant to dissolve.
When he was finished the potion was picture perfect and Muchia leaned back with a grin of accomplishment on his face. It felt good to have done it riht but at the same time he wished it could have been a bit more of a challenge. He had hoped that in this years classes he might encounter something he had trouble with*

Valentina Greysoul - May 20, 2008 04:23 PM (GMT)
Valentina, who was still slighly blushing, found her teacher's words very conforting.
she decided that with Miss Rasmuse was from now on her favourite teacher. it felt childish, but she really did mean it.

5 points for Slytherin! what a beautiful way to start the day!

she turner back to her friend, Rebecca, who was biting her lip.

as soon as their potion teacher told them to work in paris, her head automaticly turned to face Rebecca, who was looking back at her.

"So you mind if we partner up?" Rebecca had just asked her.

"O-Of course! Sure!" she said, a wide smile printed on her face.

she went over to pick all the right ingredients from one side of the room. Her mind was already flooding with worries.

i'm so going to screw this up! i mean, last time i tried to do a potion, my bedroom carpet caught on fire! i am so bad in this subject!
what's going to happen this time? Blowing up the room? Destroing the dangeons?... and so on and on.

she went back towards Rebecca, her legs now trembeling.

how was her teacher going to react when she saw what disaster Valentina was about to do this time?

just the thought of it made Valentina's eyes water...

Rebecca Emery - May 20, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
Once Rebecca heard the happy reply of a yes from Valentina she smiled back at her friend as she began to go to work. First firing up her cauldron Rebecca waited a few moments as the liquid inside came to a slow boil. Looking around at her ingredients that sat on the table to the left of her she stretched her arm out and took the pile of dried nettles. Standing back a little ways with her arm stretched over the cauldron she dropped the ingredients inside. Smiling at this she moved back and waited until the ingredients dissolved into the liquid. Stirring here and there.

Rebecca continued this routine of dropping the ingredient in the cauldron then waiting for it to dissolve before putting in the next for the next few minutes. Also not forgetting to stir the mix so the ingredients wouldn't dissolve in one place. When she finally came to the last step Rebecca smiled to herself glad she hadn't messed up so far.

At this thought she glanced up to the board to read everything over again. As she did this she made a quick glance over to Valentina just in time to see tears beginning to form in the younger girl’s eyes. Frowning Rebecca pulled her cauldron off the fire and put in her last ingredient of porcupine quills before addressing the girl.

"Hey Valentina, are you alright? What happened?" She asked softly her intent blue eyes watching her friend only moving away from the girl to check on her potion.

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 08:41 PM (GMT)
April glanced over at Robyn before starting to take out ingredients for the potion, and setting her cauldron onto the fire. She started up the fire so it was hot and reading for stirring. After she got everything ready, she turned to make sure Robyn was starting.

"You look a mess, to be quite blunt. Are you alright? Here, let's do it together," April said quietly, lighting a fire with her wand under Robyn's cauldron.

She began to chop up the ingrediants so they would mix better, being sure everything was barefully done. Potions was a very easy subject for her. She hoped that Robyn would need help, because she liked to show off her Potions skills, especially. It looked like Robyn would indeed be needing some assistance today, at least.

She began to mix in the ingrediants, making sure she took the cauldron off the fire to add the porcupine quills. It seemed to be going well. She mixed in the final ingrediants slowly, and her potions turned the correct shade. She smiled, triumphant.

She glanced over to Robyn to make sure she had made out okay, and wasn't going to cry, which she had looked like she was beforehand.

Robyn Singe - May 20, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
Robyn forced herself not to say anything like, Don't touch me!
She felt like ought do so, but was against it. Be nicer than your sister, that was her goal today.

She sat still for sevral moments, almost numb to the world. April began to help her.
"Yea, I tried to not look so bad but it didn't work so well. Thanks." She said, finally snapping back to reality. "Been a really rough morning." She began to work on her potion, putting the ingridients in as directed. She bit at her lip piercing trying to figure a few things out, but once she did, she would get back to work.

Nana Dirks'n - May 20, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
Nana walked to the front of the classroom to get her ingredients. She was pretty good at potions but for some reason it always exploded a half hour later, but she wasn't sure that was her fault.
Nana started the fire and waited for it to boil. While the water warmed up she cut her ingredients to the proper sizes. Once the water boiled Nana added the first ingredient. Once it started to dissolve she stirred the water so that the potion was well mixed. Then she added her second ingredient to the potions. She stirred the water until it was all dissolved and looked proper.

Last Nana took her potion off the fire and gave it a moment to cool. Then she added the porqupine quills. The potion exploded with a boom. She screamed at the top of her lungs in complete shock. Nana couldn't figure out why it wasn't at leat exploding the way i was desribed on the board. She tried to see if it had done any damage but she couldn't see through all the orange smoke.

Muchia Dawson - May 20, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
*Muchia couldnt help but laugh when the girlenxt to him's potion exploded. Immediatly he felt bad and stopped. He waved some of the orange smoke away so he could see what had happened. he though that it was strange that there was orange smoke when it shouldn't even be possible to get orange smoke when making a boil cure potion.

After the smoke cleard he looked around to see if any damage was done. Everything looked undamage though there was orange goo evrywhere.*

Muchia: Episky *pointing his wand at the goo.

The goo dissapeard. He turned to the girl and flashed her a smile*
Muchia: Nice one, I didn;t even know that was possible

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
April watched as Robyn prepared her potion, biting her lip ring and thinking hard about every move she had to make. She seemed on edge. April scooped her potion into a flask and capped it, ready to hand in as a sample. She was hoping she got the highest grade possible; almost positve she would. She thought back, and couldn't remember doing much of anything wrong.

"Rough morning? Why? Something happen with your sister?" April questioned, and then snapped her mouth shut. It was rude to be nosy, but April had always been obnoxiously curious. It tended to get her in trouble too often. She had to remember the girl's privacy, for Merlin's sake.

Nana Dirks'n - May 20, 2008 11:48 PM (GMT)
Nana was about to ask the air for help when the smoke suddenly cleared away. She saw the Muchia boy from Hufflepuff smiling at her. She looked around and saw that he had done quite well at disposing of her mess. She smiled back as he said,
"Nice one, I didn't even know that was possible." She laughed a bit and said,
"Get used to it when I'm around weirder things than that happen. All of their own accord!" Her voice squeaked a bit on the last word for some reason. She almost had forgotten,
"Oh yeah, thanks for helping me out. Thankyouthankyouthankyou." She bowed a bit as she said that becasue that's just how she thanked people. Nana thought she should probably make the potion again unless she wanted to fail, and she didn't so she walked up to get the ingredients again.

Robyn Singe - May 20, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
Robyn carefully scooped her potion into the container, then placed it on the table and capped it shut. She closed her eyes a second and took another deep shakey breath.
"No, it wasn't my sister. I can deal with her." Robyn paused, "If you want, meet me in the astronomy tower tonight at... 7. Then I'll tell you whats going on." Robyn tugged on some of her hair, thinking hard. "Make that 9 tonight. I have things I have to tend to before then." Robyn waited patiently to turn in her potion. She was sure she did it right, and didn't care if she screwed the hole thing up, at least she hadn't broken down into tears.

OOC: I'll make the thread April.

April Teagan - May 20, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
OOC- okay :)

IC:

"Nine, tonight. Perfect, after hours. That'll be fun," April agreed. "And I don't deny that you can't handle your sister, I was just wondering if she did something this morning to upset you. But explain tonight."

Valentina Greysoul - May 21, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Valentina looked at Rebecca speechless.
she frowned at herself: was it so easy noticing she was nervous?
She opend her mouth to reply, but her lips were shaking, so she shut it again and took in a deep breath, before reopening it.

" 'becca, i'm really scared! last time i did a potion during this summer holidays..." she paused, looking down at the flickering orange flame, as a cold feeling run down her spine, "it went baddly wrong!...N-not that i killed anyone, obviously!" she hurried on saying. "I-it's just that... my bedroom's carpet caught on f-fire!" she mumbled, now embaraced.

she knew Rebecca wouldn't make fun of her, but she was still embaraced and didn't dare to look at Rebecca in the face.

she was about to say something alse when a loud POP! echoed around the room.

Valentina turned around just in time to see a weird orange jet of smoke erupt from a calderon, and a boy undoing the spell.

She gasped with surprise when the smoke vanished.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 21, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
Gen had seen Nana's potion going all worng and she was about to assist her when a nice boy helped her out. Seeing as no one was harmed, she let Nana and the boy haev a conversation. She knew that Nana was shy, so Gen didnt want to mess up this golden opportunity for Nana.

Gen then saw the boy clean up the whole mess for her and Gen had to go and reward him for his good deed. Gen walked over and stood beside the two of them. "Well done Muchia! Thank you for cleaning up this mess! Now I wont have to do it! 5 points to Hufflepuff!" Gen said cheerfully. She then turned to face Nana. "Now Nana no harm done. You did fine! Everyone makes mistakes! Now you dont have to do the potion over again unless you want to, it wont hurt your grade either way," Gen said with a warming smile.

Valentina Greysoul - May 21, 2008 08:28 PM (GMT)
Valentina had just heard what the professor said.
she was surprised!
her teacher was awsome! she really would try her best in this subject.

she grabbed the crushed snake fangs and mixed them smoothly in the potion, making it bubble nicely.
she did this with every other material. it was turning out into a nice, green grass colour, with small bubbles popping from the top.
it tasted of grass and mint.

she looked back at the blackboard.
no green smoke, no melted calderons and no holes in shoes.

it should have been right.
she looked at Rebecca, and rememberd what she just said.
"i-i think i like poitions now... well, if i got this one right, i will!"
Valentina smiled weackly and lifted her hand in the air, shyly.

she really was hoping that she did it right. she really was.

Rebecca Emery - May 21, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
Rebecca watched as Valentina told her about her mishap with making a potion during the summer. She nodded in understanding knowing that it was something that could definitely make a person despise potions. Part of Rebecca couldn't be more than thankful that she'd never in her life experienced something along the lines of catching your own room on fire.

"It's alright Val. Just read the directions on the board carefully. I'm sure you'll do just fine. And I'm always right here just incase you do something wrong," Rebecca assured the girl with a small pat on the back before she turned to her own potion which was now done. She smiled to herself at the murky green potion before her. It seemed about right, at least she thought.

At this thought she watched Valentina only looking away when Nana's, a fellow Hufflepuff, potion exploded filling the room with orange smoke. Frowning slightly her blue eyes turned back to Valentina just in time to see the girl finish her potion. Rebecca smiled at her when she exclaimed she just might like potions then turned around, while sitting in her seat, waiting for everyone else to finish.
