Jesse was in a creative mood so he headed out, guitar strapped to his back, into the grounds looking for a nice tree to sit under. Seeing that most of the trees were already inhabited by a group of students, he took a seat in a random spot of the soft green grass. He pulled his acoustic out from behind him and placed it into position upon his folded legs. Resting his head down upon the side of the guitar, he began to start lightly strumming random chords and finger picking random strings.

Jesse has no idea what he's really looking for sound wise if anything at all. Really, this is a good way for him to escape his stressfull surroundings. He continued to play and play and play, humming along with whatever chords his fingers fall upon.

Valentina was out in the fields for a few practical alone lessons with her wand.
True, school rules did say that you weren't aloud magic in the corridors or outside school, but she wasn't in a corridor or anywere inside the school building, but she wasn't outside the grounds as well. Anyway, she had always been careful with magic.

she was making her way over to a silent spot, with noone alse around, when she heard a beautiful song.

she got nearer and nearer until she actually saw who it was.
it was a Hufflepuff boy, playing his guitar and humming at the same time.

she felt nervous, and waited for him to stop, but he didn't. he kept on playing. she was sitting under a tree, in the shade.

Valentina pulled out a book from her school bag, so that, if he saw her, she would pretend to be studing.

But he kept on playing, and Valentina couldn't do anything alse appart from hearing his beautiful playing. The birds in the trees seemed to be singing with him.

when he finally stopped playing, Valentina started clapping before she knew what she was doing. She suddenly realised and stopped, looking down at the grass, her face blushing.

How silly of her!

Jesse broke out of his melody and heard a small applause. His face instantly glowed red. There was no way he could have noticed someone walking by or sitting close by while in his own world. He slowly looked around hoping it was just his imagination that clapped for him. But then he noticed a girl sitting under a tree staromg at the grass.

*There's no way she's that facinated with grass* he thought to himself.

Jesse built up the courage to walk over to the girl of Slytherin. He put his guitar onto his back and sat down right infront of her and spoke.

"You weren't listening were you? I..it...well...I was just sort of messing around with some chords. I..wasn't playing anything in particular."

He was so embarrased. He didn't want the girl to think that he was attempting to play a new song of his or that he was trying to impress anybody.

"I wasn't loud enough to distract you was i?" Jesse nervously asked.

Valentina heard someone moving a few meters infront of her, and walking towards her.
she didn't dare look up.
someone sat down, right infront of her.
she gave a quick glance up and saw the boy who had been playing the guitar. Valentina hesitated.

"You weren't listening were you? I..it...well...I was just sort of messing around with some chords. I..wasn't playing anything in particular." the boy said, with a deeply embaraced voice.

Valentina forced out a smile, even though she thought that she was as embaraced as him.

"you have a wonderful talent!" she said, "i--! You're amazing!"
her cheeks went scarlet, "at playing the guitar, i mean! it was brilliant!" she gave and embaraced laught.

"and, of course you weren't disturbing me! it was me who was listening-- I'm Valentina Greysoul!" she lifted her hand up, ready to shake his. "please axept my apologies! i really wouldn't want to offend you, you know, while you play the guitar!"

she smiled again, before asking something that was probably going to sound offensive:
"can you play another ane? Another song, i mean?"

Jesse was truely shocked. He really didnt expect such a compliment, especially because he knew he wasn't playing anything special.

"Please, please no apologies!" he replied.

"I just get into these zones of my own world and completely become unaware of my surroundings. Thank you so much, I really really appreciate the appluad, although embarassing." Jesse said laughing.

He raised his hand and shook Valentina's. "I'm Jesse Ballway. I'm a fourth year in Hufflepuff and I'd be glad to play another tune. Is there anything you'd like to hear? I know plenty of covers!" he said with excitement. Jesse's never had the pleasure to play for any kind of audience as small as one person may be.

Jesse reached behind him and pulled his guitar around to his knees. Awaiting her reply, he began to hit the tuning harmonics.

Valentina laughted and shook the boy's hand.

"I'm Jesse Ballway. I'm a fourth year in Hufflepuff and I'd be glad to play another tune. Is there anything you'd like to hear? I know plenty of covers!" Jesse said happily.

she was asked to choose a song? what honor! she smiled happily.

"i don't mind! Have you got a favourite song? Can i hear it?"
She wasn't trying to be nosy, but meeting a new friend with an excellent music tallent doesn't happen every day!

she chose a comfy position ready to hear Jesse's music pieces.

Jesse smiled and finished tuning.

"Well I'll just play whatever comes to mind." he replied.

There was no way he could ever pick a favorite song or musician, he wouldn't want to feel like he wasn't appreciating someones sound.

Jesse began to strum. C,A,G,F was the chord order. He played as best as he could and began to sing. The song happened to be about a young wizard attempting to create a new potion that made his fingers gain a mind of their own. He was a wizard that played the piano and had little time to practice due to a girl he liked taking up most of his time. The song ended with the wizard losing the girl and forgetting about the point, so that he could truely play his art. He let the ending C ring out and lifted his head to catch Valentinas reaction.

Valentina clapped so hard her hands had gone red and were now acheing.

"beautiful," she wispered, "trully wonderfull!"

when she had finaly stopped, which took a while, she massaged her hands, that were now hurting.

"could you..." she began, "teach me how to play an instrument?"

Valentina had never played any kind of instrument, especially not Muggle guitars, but she was now very intrested in the subject.

"and how many types of instruments excist?" She asked happily, going entusiastic about the idea of her playing a musical instrument.
