Dear Diary,
I was sorted today, and I'm still in shock over my house. Hufflepuff! I can barely believe it! Daddy always told me that you can help choose your own house, and all the time the Sorting Hat sat upon my head I prayed "Anything but Hufflepuff".
Did the useless, ancient piece of cloth listen? NO! It yelled out Hufflepuff and I was so shocked I nearly screamed. I felt like getting on the train back home and checking to see if Beauxbatons had an opening.
The rest of the sorting wasn't so bad. The food was excellent and there were a few students at my table that seemed friendly (and not that slow) J/k. ;)
AND! I did spy a cute guy at the Slytherin Table...I bet he won't be seen speaking to a Hufflepuff though. <_<

Dear Diary.
Yesterday was the Spring Formal. I don't even know why I bothered to go, but I did. I wore a short, knee length bubble skirt dress in dark red silk. I think that is the most prettiest dress I've ever worn. I don't think it did the trick though. I left my hair loose, of course, to hide my ears, but I curled it.
At didn't really meet anyone at the dance, apart from this one boy, Finnegan. I tried to talk to him but he was clearly into the Potion's Professor so I just left. However, I think I might have developed a crush on him :wub: . UGH, why do I always fall for the heartbroken, loner/bad boys.
Afterwards I took a walk by the lake and went back to my common room (Hufflepuff!) to relax. I did meet this nice girl, Lisette, and we chatted for awhile.
For now I'm off! I'm going to write my parents!

Dear Diary,
The ex-Chuddley Cannons player,Sean Avalon has come to Hogwarts to teach Flying. I thinks he's cute, and he and the Potion's professor are crushing on each other. I'm definitley going to take his class though.
I also met several knew people in the past two days. Professor Avalon, a slytherin that walked into me at the lake named Zane, Professor Rasmuse, and her cousin, Lisette. She's nice, a bit of a social butterfly...
I missed a potions classbut I turned in the homework anyway...hopefully I'll get some sort of mark.
