After she tired of the dance, Solana decided to go for a walk by the lake. The night was beautiful, and the light of the stars shimmered on the dark lake, making it eerily beautiful.

The night had grown quite chilly though and Solana found herself wrapping her arms around herself in a hugging movement to keep warm.

She wished that she could meet someone at Hgwarts.

She was walking lost in thought when she heard a noise behind her and turned to see a boy she didn't know emerging from the shadows...

Zane walked though the large field along the lake. He shifted his visible eye at the large lake as he stopped walking. He stared at the moon’s golden reflection and sighed. It really was beautiful he admitted to himself as a sudden gust of wind made him shiver slightly making Zane suddenly glad of his father’s dark purple wizard trench coat he always wears. He pressed it tighter against his body still looking at the lake as he resumed walking not noticing as he ran into someone resulting in Zane stumbling back a few feet blinking. “Wha?” He let out a small confused surprised grunt at the sudden blockade in his path.

...And the boy walked right into her. She stumbled a bit then regained her balance. With narrowed eyes she turned to stare at the boy who had walked into her.

"You should watch where your going." she said crisply, then turned her gaze back to the lake, irritated.

"Oh, uhh sorry. It's my fault, your nor hurt are you?" He asked looking at the girls scratching his head. "Sorry, I didnt mean to run into you like that."

Solana raised an eyebrow at his apology, but her irritation abated a bit. "I'm fine," she said cooly, and then added, a little warmly, "What brings you to the lake tonight?"

Zane sighed as she seemed a little less mad and wasn’t hurt. He perked up at her question and answered. “Well, I was out most of the day fishing. Cant say I had any look though the fishes are smarter then they look despite losing their memory every five seconds.”

"Oh....alright," said Solana. She was a little confused. Fishes lost their memory and ...?

"So um, what house and year are you in?"

Zane noticed her look and knew she was confused, we was going to explain when he thought she probably didn’t care. He was brought out of his trance at her next question. “Oh, Slytherin fifth year…you?” He asked.

Solana didn't really care for fishing. She heard him reply to her question and ask one of his own.

"Oh me? I'm a 6th year...Hufflepuff," she said with dissapointment. "My entire family has been in Ravenclaw or Slytherin and I'm a Hufflepuff!"

"Hmm? Well maybe you have something the rest of your family doesnt." He said trying to convense he that it's not that bad.

"Yea maybe," she replied, a bit bitterly. "So," she said, changing the conversation, "Tell me something about you." ^_^

"Me? There’s not much to talk about. Im a chaser for the Slytherin Quidditch team, I love dueling, my kitten’s name is Pudding, im from Paris France. Im 15 years old and I love chocolate you?” Zane asked.

^_^ "Quidditch? I love Quidditch I applied as a seeker for the Hufflepuff team. You should take the flying class, the teacher is an ex Quidditch star."

"A cat? I have one too, a siamese named Cassieopia, Cassie for short."
"Dueling is alright...but I don't really do it a lot...France, cool I've been there on holiday, it was nice."

Solana gave Zane a dazzaling smile. She was enjoying talking to him now, they had a lot in common.

"A Quidditch star?" Sounds cool. He said nodding to her. "You have a cat also? Yeah France is a nise place to go I picked up my love for art, music, and literature." Zane smiled back.

"Art isn't my thing." replied Solana, "I do sing though, and literature is a huge part of my life."

"So Zane, how come I haven't seen you in any classes?"

“You sing? I bet it’s beautiful.” Zane replied. “Not sure, maybe you just never noticed me until now?”

Solana blushed a little bit at Zane's comment about the singing. "Thanks," she said, "I don't remember seeing you in classes, I'll look harder from now on," she smiled.

"By the way, are you entering the Tetrawizard? tournament?"

Zane raised an eyebrow at her. “Tetrawizard? Sorry I really don’t pay attention to school events other then the dueling club and Quidditch. What is that again?” He asked scratching his head and pulled his coat closer on his body as the wind started to blow across the grounds again and sense they where standing right next to the lake it made the chill much cooler.

"It's being announced in the Spring Formal, you can enter your name in the Goblet of Fire there."

Solana wrapped her arms around herself, the night had grown colder and she was still in her dress.

"Interesting, I wouldint know I dont go to school events as I said. Are you joinning?" Zane asked and noticed her actions. "You cold, you can borrow my coat im use to the cold." He said as he took off his coat and handed it to her.

"Oh...Thanks," she said, accepting the big purple coat. It looked a bit odd, but it had character, and she liked it.

"It's really warm...you sure you're not cold?"

"Oh the Tournament, of course I'm joining! I already submitted my name into the Goblet of Fire, I hope it chooses me to be in the tournament! You should join too, it would be fun!"

Zane motioned his head. “No im alright. And really? You must be brave I don’t think I could do it, but ill put my name in for the fun of it not like im getting picked anyway.”

"Yea, I like the adventure. And who knows, maybe your name will come out...we'll just have to wait and see."

"I'm going to head in now, I'm cold and it's late. There's a new Flying instructor and a History of Magic teacher, you should drop by their class, and I don't want to be late tomorrow."

"I'll see you around alright?" said Solana, flashing him a smile and handing him back his coat.

"Maybe." Zane said. "No you can keep it for tonight you need it more then I do you can give it to me some other time ok? Later."
