Nana walked up the steps into the owlery. As she reached the top she realzed how cold it was up here, she should have worn a hoodie. Nana stopped for a moment, the grounds looked so beautiful from up this high. She could see all th way across the lake and to the edge of the forest. The sun was jsut setting so everything was turning a pale shade of pink. Once Nana was inside the wind stopped beating at her and she was considerably warmer. She sat down to wait for April and Muchia to come meet her as they had planned.

OOC: woohoo i'm not going to be late

IC: Muchia walked into the owlery at the agreed upon time. April Nana and he had made plans to meet here earlier and he thought it would be a good idea to do as he had said. As he walked through the door he saw nana sitting around. obviously waiting for him and april.

Muchia: hey. Hows it goin?

OOC: I got kicked off the compuer last night before I could respond. Sorry guyss. :(

IC:

April ran up the Owlery stairs. She was going to be late to meet Nana and another boy, Muchia, who she had never really met before, but only seen and heard about from word of mouth. The stairs seemed never ending, and her feet pounded upon the creaky wood as she climbed them.

She reached the top in record time and took a breath. She didn't want to walk into there looking like she had just run the marathon. In her pocket, she held a few apples for all them, some owl treats, and of course her wand. They were bulging.

It was chilly; April was happy she had worn a muggle hoodie underneath her robes. It must have been very cold indeed outside. Who wears hoodies and robes in May? Apparently, she did.

She entered and saw she was the last one. Of course.

"Hey Nana," she greeted. "And you must be Muchia, charming. I'm April, I'm sure Nana's told you. Am I terribly late?"

OOC: no problem. we both left like minutes after you

IC:
Muchia: the pleasures al mine, and no your just a minute or 2 late so its no biggy. That is unless you make a habit of it. trust me and don't do it. Anyways. Im sure your both aware why we decided to meet here.

*he loked around to see if they realy were all on the same page here.*

OOC: but realy, why are we all up here

OOC: Uhm... I don't know.

IC:

"Well, I'm not sure why Nana decided to meet here of all places, since it's a bit chilly up here... but I do need to feed my owl. Lemme see... where are you?" she called out, scanning the owlery for a sight of Zeus.

"There! Come here Zeus!" she called out again, and her eagle owl soared onto her hand faithfully. He was only young, 2 years, but very loyal and obiedant. "This is my eagle owl, Zeus, everyone. Isn't he adorable?" she cooed, feeding him an owl treat.

He flew off immediately, and April was happy he didn't smell the apples in her pocket for her friends. Zeus adored apples.

OOC- excellent question...... they are here because.........they had been talking elsewhere and Nana had noticed someone eavesdropping (totally made up there) Oh April you do know you called Muchia a girl right??

IC-
Nana smiled and waved as April walked in wearing a hoodie under her robes. She wished she had done the same, it was freezing up there. Nana looked at April's owl as it flew over, then she remembered her own owl she called it. Howler landed on her arm and she proceded to shower it with love, As Nana petted she said,

"Remember earlier, when we were talking. And I said that I heard someone else listening to us. Then we were 'late' to our next class. Then we decided to meet here later?" Howler chirpped almost as if it was agreeing when Nana noticed it seemed to be looking at April's pocket. She said to it,

"What are you looking at? Hmm?"

OOC: I fixed it. Oops. >.<

IC:

April watched as Nana's owl stared at her pockets. April laughed and pulled out a bag of owl treats and a few apples. Zeus hooted and flew at her, but she waved him off desperately.

"I brought apples for everyone... and some owl treats. Zeus likes apples so you might want to eat them quickly or he may just steal them from you." April passed Muchia and Nana a green apple, and crunched into her own.

"Here, have a bite," she said, offering the apple to Zeus. He grabbed it in his beak and took off. "Damn it. Good thing I brought an extra," April mentioned, pulling out another.

"So, what were we talking about before?"

*Muchia eyed Zeus carefully as he accepted the apple from April. He felt that the bird was likely to kil him for the apple.*

Muchia: we were simply discussing the tetra wizard tournament and who we hoped would get in to compete. So have any of you guys signed up for it?

April took a large bite out of her shiny new apple, munching on it quietly. She pondered Muchia's suggestion but said nothing for a second. She was wondering why she hadn't entered her name. She knew she would have a possible chance to be selected, but it didn't seem to be something she would want to be forced to do.

"Can't say I have. Not really my thing; I'd prefer to watch myself. Did you Muchia? Or maybe you, Nana? Well, you're a bit young after all..."

Of course Nana would sign up, the question was: was she allowed. She accepted the apple from April and munched on it. Nana said,
"Errr. I don't know if I'm allowed; sounds like fun though, What about you Muchia?? Or are you not allowed?" She was thinking about him being almost expelled.

*Muchia couldn't think of why he wouldn't be allowed and so he had signed up without a second thought*

Muchia: of course I signed up. Why wouldn't I be al...

*he trailed off, remembering how he would get expelled if he didn't ace all his OWLs. If he got expelled would he not be allowed to participate. What if his name got chosen and he wasn't allowed to participate. He had hoped not sto attract to much attention if he got expelled. hope he would slip out unnoticed.*

Muchia: you think that mabye they wont let me?

Apri lwas suddenyl annoyed. She didn't udnerstand why he couldn't sign up, and what all this fuss was about. She was left out. Probably some petty Hufflepuff matter, but still, she wanted to know.

"Excuse me? Did I miss something?" she asked, tapping her foot overdramatically on the wodden floor, and giving Nana and Muchia a grumpy expression.

"Why wouldn't you be able to join?" she asked obnoxiously, expected an answer, anda good one.

*Muchis's face fell as he thought about what had happend and the trouble he had gotten into. He tried to act as if it were nothing and that he didn't care but he wasn't sure if it were possible.*

Muchia: well you see I got a detention from the headmaster because I was late for class. Nana got one too. AnywaysI was late for mty detention and the headmaster didn't take it to well. He threatend to expell me on the spot but in stead I just got a severe warning and had to agree to some certain conditions. Firt I have to go to some sort of guidence'counciling thing everyweek. Second I can't be late for anymore classes. And thirdly, if I don't get Outstanding on all of my OWLs I don't get to come back to Hogwarts for my sixth year.

*He was on the verge of tears but did his best to hide them and not show that he was upset about the whole thing.*

April didn't think that was too fair, even though she had thouht the new Headmaster was nicer than the older one. She didn't know too much about the situation, to be honest. She did feel like getting Outstanding on all your O.W.L.s was close to impossible though.

"I don't think it's possible to get all O's. That's like.... ridiculous! That must be a lot of pressure on you. I'm sure you'll have to study really hard... I wonder if there's any way you can... fight back or something on his command."

*Muchia didn't think it was possible o get Os on all his OWLs either and wa pretty sure he could never manage it. Even just thinking aboput him made him start to despair.*

Muchia: ya. theres no way I can get al Os, soi've pretty much given up. I'll just do my best and see what happens. I can't think of anything I can do to fight back either. I mean, like what can I do. If I rebel I'll get expelled.

April felt bad for poor Muchia. Although she strived for all O's, there would be no way she could actually get them. Even with a ridiculous amount of studying, it seemed nearly impossible. She didn't know one person who had ever gotten all O's, personally.

"That's horrible... and there's nothing you can do. I wonder if you could appeal to the school board or something."

Nana bit her lip, she hadn't thought he'd really get expelled. The headmster had been really harsh; since she had snuck into class herself and only got told not to show up late again. Poor Muchia wasn't going to be here unless he managed to get all O's. Nana was a fairly good student and she NEVER got all O's, except once. She mummbled very quietly as if she almost didn't want to be heard,

"I got all O's once, maybe you can. Like we could all study together and stuff....." Nana sat quietly for them to respond to her comment. What if they didn't like it, she bit her lip again. Nana realized that she was developing a habit of doing that.

"That could be quite the idea there, Nana," she said to Nana, who had finally decided to speak up. "Studying all together could work. I'm a decent student, so I may be able to teach you some things."
