Title: The Three Broomsticks
Description: Jeraud

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 27, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
Gen walked in wearing a pair of white slacks, a pink top, and a matching white coat to go over it. She had her hair curled into bottle curls and they were bouncing away like always. Gen walked into the shop where Jer told her to meet him. She went to the counter and ordered 2 butterbeers. She exchanged some money and walked back to her favorite booth. Gen sat the extra butterbeer in the place where Jer would be sitting, Gen liked to drink firewhisky, but she didnt want to be drinking before her date arrived! She sat in the corner booth awaiting the arrival of Jer.

OOC: sorry so short! Ya know your posts dont have to be REALLY long if you dont want to :P

Jeraud Cynster - May 28, 2008 08:11 AM (GMT)
Jer took a deep breathe as he walked along the path of Hogsmeade and to the Three Broomsticks were Gen awaited him. Glancing at the watch on his right wrist he knew he was ten minutes late. He sighed in agitation at this. He’d woken up late after a long night spent over at his mothers, Cassandra, who had called in a hurry speaking in frantic tones about her boyfriend and how he was hurt. Of course for his mother he’d rushed over there immediately. Upon his arrival Jer had instantly noticed the man lying on the floor as his mother’s long term boyfriend. The second thing he’d noticed was the state he was in. From looking from his mother’s frantic state and to the deep scratches on the man’s chest there was no mistaking the deep wounds that had been made by a werewolf.

At knowing this Jer remembered going to work straight away fixing the guy, Derek, up as best as he could before sending the man to St. Mungo’s to be better looked after. The rest of the night consisted of staying with his mother who had insisted, once he’d mumbled aloud about his “date” with Gen, that he go home to get rest. Knowing he wouldn’t win Jer left his mother with a promise to visit Derek later on after his meeting with Gen. Sighing once again at his thoughts Jer pushed away the thoughts of last night for later. He didn’t want to worry Gen.

So with those thoughts he strode into the Three Broomsticks his hazel eyes wandering around the crowded for the bubbly blonde. Once his eyes landed on her Jer felt his lips lift upward into a smile. Walking towards the woman he couldn’t help but notice she had went ahead and ordered two butterbeers. Walking up behind Gen he leaned down towards her ear and spoke softly.

“Boo,” he said flashing her his trade mark lop sided grin as he waited for the reaction he was expecting. A jump and a cute little gasp that left her dark blue eyes widening in shock. Taking his seat across from her in the booth Jer looked down at his appearance. He was wearing dark blue jeans that fit him perfectly and a tan long sleeve sweater that fit him rather well. It was a little tight, but in the right way that showed off the little muscle he had. Nodding slightly, glad with his appearance he turned to Gen to apologize for being late.

“First off I have to tell you how sorry I am for being late. I had a long night last night and woke up a little late.” Saying this he smiled at her softly knowing his simple answer might make her wonder, but knowing it was for the best. Jer just hoped she didn’t notice how tired he assumed he looked. He’d tried his best to fix his appearance but he knew the fixing up could only last so long. “And secondly I must say you look beautiful today. White certainly is your color.” Saying this jokingly Jer winked at Gen before opening his butterbeer and taking a long drink.

“Also thanks for the butterbeer. It really does hit the spot,” He told her nodding his appreciation. Part of Jer knew though to keep going he’d at least have to down one firehwiskey. Shaking those thoughts from his mind for right then Jer turned to look at Gen and stared conversationally, “So tell me Gen how have you been since our meeting in the hospital wing?”

OOC: I know I can it's just they usually come out long. I shall try to write shorter, lol.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 28, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
Gen was awaiting Jer, and she had realized he was late. She was a bit worried that he might nto show up, but gen knew he was a good guy and wouldnt do that. To her relief, she saw him walk in the door of the three broomsticks. Gens heart began to race a bit, she was nervous. He looked handsome as ever too. The sweater he was wearing fit him well and showed off his assets.

Gen smiled at him as he walked up to her. He gave her a bit of a scare when he whispered, 'Boo' in her ear. She then giggled and let him sit down. She heard him compliment her, and at this she blushed and said, "Thank you. That sweater really suits you too." Gen said.

Gen then heard Jer telling her that he was sorry for being late. gen cut him off and said. "Its ok Jeraud, trust me. I really dont mind, your'e here now and thats all that mattered. Gen sat back and took a gulp of her butterbeer.

Gen heard him ask how she had been doing. "Ive been doing great. Nothing really exciting happened since the last time I saw you. Whats new with you?" Gen said cutely.

Jeraud Cynster - May 28, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
Jer laughed aloud as he got the reaction he had been waiting for. It had been his intent to scare her and obviously it had worked. Smiling at his thoughts he went on to watch as a soft pink filled the woman's cheeks at his compliment. He always thought it amusing, but also adorable when girl's blushed at everything. When she went on to mention his appearance with a compliment he grinned across the table at her.

"Why thank you. I think it looks quite good myself," he announced the last part of his comment said jokingly as he looked down at him self. When he finally did glance back up to Gen it was to hear her interrupting his apology for being late. He smiled softly glad Gen hadn't minded much. Jer knew if he wouldn’t have been able to come because of last nights incident he would have at least owled her about it.

Sighing quietly at his thoughts Jer went on to smile once again as he heard Gen use his full name, Jeraud. Most people didn't use it, except for his mother. Usually he went ahead and told people to call him Jer, but not because he didn't like his name. He actually loved his name. It was unique, made him different from everyone else and he liked the thought of that. Tuning out his thoughts though upon hearing Gen’s next words Jer straightened in his seat giving her his full attention. He shrugged lightly before answering.

"I'm glad to hear you've been doing great," he started before going on a smile coming to his lips. "Nothing much is new except for the fact I met this amazing girl, well student. Her name's Fawne and she asked me to teach her some things about healing. I have to say I'm real excited about the idea. After all it's great knowing your helping someone out in acquiring their dreams." Trailing off at this Jer still smiled over at Gen but kept out the events of last night. Hopefully she won't ask, he thought to himself hopefully as he waited for her to comment.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 28, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
Gen had crossed her legs and was sipping on her butterbeer. It was almost gone. "Oh Fawne Sugarmoon, yes I know her. Shes a very bright student." Gen said flashing Jeraud a smile. She hated to talk about teaching and school now but there wasnt much else to talk about.

Gen had gotten up, "You need anything to drink? Im going to get myself a firewhisky if you dont mind." Gen walked up and got her a firewhisky and a butterbeer and Jers drink. She sat down and drank all the firewhisky. Gen felt a bit rude drinking liquor in front of Jer on their date. And it being their first date at that.

Gen had blushed a bit after chugging her firewhisky. "Sorry. I know its not lady-like to drink." gen said smiling.

Jeraud Cynster - May 29, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
“I bet she is, she did seem like it to me when we met. Though I have to say intelligent she does seem but her attitude and the way she acts is slightly odd. I have to admit though it’s a nice change. It will be very interesting working with her,” Jer told Gen with a nod as he smiled. It would be very interesting indeed.

Shaking away his thoughts Jer gave Gen his full attention as he watched her move from the table and head to the bar. Frowning slightly he wondered what he’d missed her say. When she headed back though with a firewhiskey and a butterbeer he chuckled softly. That’s what I get for thinking too much, he thought to himself wryly. Once she sat down though he watched as she downed the whole firewhiskey with one drink. Hazel eyes widening slightly he laughed aloud when she went ahead and apologized.

“Don’t worry Gen. I have to say I think I’ll need one myself before the day’s over. Though don’t worry it has nothing to do with you,” Jer announced adding the last bit quickly after realizing the mistake he’d made in what he’d said. “If you don’t mind I’d like to grab one myself and don’t bother paying for anything else. This is a “date” after all.” Trailing off he flashed Gen his lop sided grin before getting up from the table and ordering himself his drink. When he came back he stopped in front of their table beside his seat and frowned slightly, drink in hand.

“There wasn’t anything you wanted was there?” Saying this Jer felt like a complete idiot. Way to go, he thought to himself annoyed.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 29, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
Gen was sipping her butterbeer and listening to Jer. "I agree that shes a little strange, but shes nice. I bet shes fun to work with." Gen said smiling and taking another drink. They talked back and forth for awhile and then Jer got up and asked Gen if she wanted anything.

"I will take another firewhisky, but I'll pay for myself. Im the one who asked you on this date. Ill pay." Gen said getting up and walking over to the counter. She gave Jer a cute smile on her way. She wasnt trying to be rude, she just didnt want to spend all of Jers money.

Gen bought he firewhisky and sat back down at the table taking big gulps of it. Gen awaited Jer to return from the counter.

OOC: sorry so short!

Jeraud Cynster - May 29, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
Listening to Gen as she went on to insist that she pay for her own things because she after all asked him out on a date made Jer frown. He felt extremely bad so to say. First she'd been the one to ask him out, then he'd been ten or so minutes late, and now she was paying for her own things. Jer really wanted to keep insisting her to let him pay as it was the least he could do, but he knew in the end it was useless. She'd probably win out the argument anyways, he thought to himself with a small smile. Plus there was also the part were he didn't want to argue.

Shaking away his thoughts as they both made it back to the table they'd been sitting at Jer opened the bottle of firewhiskey and took a long drink. Smiling he couldn’t' help but love the burning sensation that filled his throat as the liquid made it's way down. It was always refreshing. It helped let one know they were still alive in some situations. Shaking away his saddened thoughts Jer turned to face Gen in the seat.

"So Gen...since we're here to get to know each other. I guess questions of the past are in order," Smiling over at the blonde Jer thought for a moment on his question. When he finally found one he pointed toward her and asked, "What's one mistake out of your whole past that you know you won‘t forget? It can be a funny one if you‘d like." Adding the last part in Jer knew if she went ahead asked that question he’d have to tell her about the first and last time he’d ever screwed up on a potion.

OOC: Ehh not so good of a post, but yeah. =]

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 29, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
Gen had sucked down her second firewhisky. She had a weakness for it. She didnt believe she was an alcoholic, but she did enjoy it when she had it. Gen laughed at the question Jer asked her. "So were playing a game now?" Gen said with a giggle. "I like games. Well..."

Gen had to think for a moment. She knew what the answer was, but it would be a downer to the date. Lycs had been her worst mistake that she would never forget, but she decided to tell him, "My worst mistake that I will never forget eh? Well Id say it would have to be the time that I tried transfiguration for the first time. I was a child, about 9 or so, and I tried it on myself." Gen said sheepishly. She knew it was a bt rediculous, but it was true.

"I had turned my lower half into a fish! I couldnt walk and I started screaming. My father came in and fixed me up though." Gen said smiling. "Excuse me." She said. She went to the counter and bought 2 butterbeers and 2 firewhiskies.

She arrived back at the table and slid a firewhisky and butterbeer to Jer. She saw the look on his face as disappointment. Gen knew he didnt like her buying her own drinks. The man was supposed to do that. But it was the least Gen could to after asking him on this date.

Jeraud Cynster - May 29, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
Jer watched Gen as she downed her second firewhiskey. Part of him couldn’t believe it and he wanted to frown but kept from doing so. It seemed to him that she liked to drink and when she did drink it wasn’t just one or two. The thought worried Jer and he made a promise to himself and her that if she started drinking way too much for her own good he would stop her, in a polite enough way of course, but for then he let her drink. Smiling over at her when she questioned his tactics he shrugged.

“I guess you could say that. It does seem like a game in a way. Twenty questions I’m assuming is it’s name.” Saying this Jer’s voice held a hint of amusement as he watched Gen think on her answer. Studying the woman closely he couldn’t help but wonder after a few minutes if something had came to her mind but she wasn’t going to say it. Shrugging off this feeling though he listened and laughed as she answered. He hadn’t heard anything quite like it in a million years. Figuratively speaking of course.

“Well it seems to me my dear Gen that you aren’t one for Transfiguration,” Smiling over at Gen when he said this he took another drink of his first firewhiskey. When he swallowed the alcohol he went ahead and added, “I’m sure your glad your father was there. After all if he hadn’t been there to rescue you who knows how you’d look today.” As he finished this comment he smiled over at her jokingly. It was a joke, one that he admitted wasn’t very creative or good. Oh well, he thought shrugging it off.

Trailing off Jer nodded to Gen as she once again made her way over to the bar and order a couple more drinks. As he watched her walk back he moved to help her but seeing as she was handling herself quite well he stayed put watching as she grinned over at him before sliding over a butterbeer and firewhiskey to himself. Smiling slightly he nodded a thank you before sliding his to the side as he was almost finished with his first.

“So Gen I asked you a question so I believe it’s your turn now,” Jer announced finishing off his drink as his hazel eyes watched her. Waiting for a reply and making sure she wasn’t getting tipsy off the two firewhiskey’s she’d already had. After all he didn’t know her drinking habits.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 29, 2008 11:50 PM (GMT)
Gen took another drink of her firewhisky. SHe was feeling good but nnot anything serious yet. She heard Jers reply. "Yes I was glad my father was there. He got me out of a few tight spots." Gen giggled. "He is a good man." Gen kenw he was but she hadnt talked to them since she decided to stay in Britian after school. Her parents wanted her to come back to France and try to get a job at Beauxbatons, but she loved it at Hogwarts.

Gen crossed her legs and heard Jer say it was her turn to ask a question. Gen thought for a minute. "Umm... Let me think of a good one." She said giggling. "Tell me about your family." Gen said. "I know its not a question but you first name intrigues me. Are you from Franch descent?" Gen asked.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
Listening to Gen Jer smiled as she spoke about her father. From what she’d said it seemed like the man was. He was happy for her and the other people who actually had a father. He unlike the rest of the world didn’t have one. Of course he did at one point from a baby until thirteen, but after his father left for another woman well…that was the end for the older man. Jer no longer cared or heard from the man and would rather not. It’s been eleven years since his father left, but even so it still angered Jer completely. Shaking away his thoughts Jer knew this was not the right to or place to dwell on his so called father.

Coming back to reality Jer gave his full attention back to Gen who was now thinking about a question and giggling more than he’d heard her do than when they first met. Hazel eyes peering at the woman he wondered briefly if she’d had enough to drink. His thoughts though were so interrupted as Gen asked her question. Smiling over her question he shook his head no.

“Actually I’m not. My mother named me after some man she’d fell in love with when she was visiting France. Even though the guy broke her heart she held on to the name giving it to me when I was born. I have to admit I like it, even though I was named after the b*****d who broke her heart,” Smiling over at Gen he shrugged his shoulder before thinking on her question of telling her about his family.

“Well my mother, Cassandra, is a beautiful and magnificent woman and witch. I love her to death and would do anything for her. She’s intelligent and knows her magic. Unlike me she is a lot better with charms and transfiguration while with me it’s potions,” Pausing at this point Jer shrugged before adding, “She’s my mother. I have no siblings, that I know of. Now when it comes to my father….well let’s just say he’s out of the picture and has been for quite sometime.” Leaving the explanation on his father simple he turned to Gen thinking on another question so he wouldn’t have to dwell on unwanted memories.

“What do you like best about….yourself?”

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
Gen smiled. She was so happy being here with Jer. She also couldnt keep her eyes off of him. She took anothe swig of her butterbeer. She kenw she was hitting her limit and this was a first date so she didnt want to get hammered or anything. Gen listened as Jer talked abotu his family. "Well thats a different way to be named but i think Jeraud is a wonderful name." Gen said with a smile.

She listened intently as he talked about his mother and father. "Your mother sounds terrific. But Im sorry to hear about your father." Gen said. She didnt want to dwell on the sad things. She was relieved when Jer asked her another question.

Gen thought about it for awhile. She really wasnt sure. She was pretty insecure with herself so it was a bit difficult to think of something she liked about herself rigth off the top of her head. "Umm...I think its a tie between my eyes and my personality. I have been told that I have gorgeous eyes and everyone says Im very bubbly." Gen said giggling. She took another swig of her firewhisky. "Whats your favorite past time that has nothing to do with you profession or school." Gen asked.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
“Thank you I appreciate that. I like your name also. Genevieve is very different, unique, which to me is always a good thing,” Jer announced flashing her his lop sided grin as she complimented his name. “And yes I know weird way to be named, oh well.” Adding the last bit in he shrugged once again as he noticed her staring. Smiling at this Jer moved into a different position on the chair he was sitting on so Gen could get a better look at him. It was almost a unintentional move, almost being the key word. One couldn’t blame him for the move, after all he was a guy.

“And thank you once again. She is terrific. I don’t know what I would have done with out her,” Jer said smiling softly at the thought of his mother once again. When Gen went on to say sorry about his father Jer waved it off. It wasn’t something he wanted to talk about. Just not to her, but anyone. Plus this was supposed to be a date. Something that should be fun and filled with enjoyment. Not pain and regret. Nodding at those thoughts Jer turned his attention back to Gen who was once again speaking.

"Umm...I think its a tie between my eyes and my personality. I have been told that I have gorgeous eyes and everyone says I’m very bubbly."

Hearing this Jer smiled the people who had told her both those things were very correct. “Well they are right Gen and don’t tell me they aren’t. Your eyes are very beautiful and your personality very bubbly and fun. Something one doesn’t see to much these days.” Saying this Jer flashed her a genuine smile. What he said was truthful and he hoped the woman before him believed that. Tuning his thoughts out at this point he took a drink of his second firewhiskey which was just about finished before answering her question.

“I’d have to say other than hanging out with my good mates it would have to be playing a round of Quidditch. It’s a great game and I love it. It’s always good way to pass the time,” Jer replied finally as he thought about his next question. “Do you have any siblings?”

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
Gen smiled as Jer talked abotu her comments. She took a couple more drinks of her firewhisky. She saw him change hs position in his chair. He looked great. Gen couldnt keep her eyes off of him. She thought to herself, it must be the alcohol.

Gen felt like Jerauds mother was a great person. The way Jer talked abotu her and thought so highly of her, was a good thing. "Its nice to see men really close to their families. I think it shows respect and maturity." Gen said smiling at him.

Gen blushed badly when Jer commented her. "Thank you Jer. Thats so sweet of you." As Gen said this she placed her hand over top of his. They were now sitting there with their hands overlapped on the table. Gen thought, how much more perfect can this get?

She listened intently to Jers answer to Gens question. She was not a big fan of quidditch, but, she thought to herself, I bet hes great at it and looks great doing it. She took another drink. "Thats great, Great way to stay in shape and have fun in a heathly way." Gen smiled,

She then heard him ask her a question. "Well not to be boring or anything but no, I have no siblings. Only child." Gen smiled sheepishly. She felt a bit stupid. "Whats your favorite food?" Gen asked.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
Jer stopped himself from laughing out loud as he watched Gen ogle him. He knew it was his own fault and had pretty much made her do it, but still he found it amusing. Even so he didn’t dare laugh. He smiled instead his smile widening as he heard Gen comment on the whole family thing. She did have a point. He’d always been close to his family even if family usually only consisted of himself in his mom. Sure he went to go visit his mother’s sister and her family and he would always be there for them when ever they needed him but even so Jer family was just his mother.

“Thank you Gen, I have to agree with you there. That’s one of the many things that shows respect and maturity. Glad you noticed that,” he said smiling over at the woman as he noted the pink in her cheeks which rose at his compliments. Smile widening he waved it off. It was something he always did and probably would continue to do so even if the women, whoever she be, told him not to. It was just part of his character.

Sighing quietly at those thoughts Jer almost jumped when he felt Gen’s hand come down and enclose on his. Hazel eyes looking down to their hands Jer thought about removing his hand. He didn’t want her to get the wrong idea. It’s just holding hands Jer lay off. Hearing the voice in his mind Jer shrugged it off and squeezed her hand gently instead.

“An only child huh? Seems like we have something in common. And when it comes to my favorite food I have to say I can’t choose. There’s to many things out there and I can’t subject only on.” Trailing off at this Jer shrugged his shoulders and mouthed a joking sorry to her as he thought on his next question. The one that came to his mind was quite outrageous but one that was fun. Knowing this Jer couldn’t stop himself from asking it.

“Okay I know this a random one, but it’s a fun one. If you could have any ability in the world what would it be?”

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 01:33 AM (GMT)
Gen took another drink of her firewhisky. She was glad that Jer wanted to be mature and respctful. It was something important to Gen. She then couldtell that he didnt enjoy holding her hand. This kind of hurt Gens feelings,m but she decided to nonchalantly slip her hand off of his and fix her hair with it.

She then looked around at the atmosphere. It was getting a bit crowded and loud. Gen didnt mind but then she loked out the window and noticed it was still nice out. She wouldnt mid being outside.Gen then smiled at the fact that they were both only children. They both had some siliar experiences as kids she guessed.

Gen heard Jer ask her the next question and she about spit out her firewhisky. She regained her bearings and swallowed hard. "Forget WANTING an ability, I HAVE one." Gen said sheepishly. She didnt usually talk about her ability, but she figured, what the hell. "I am a seer." Gen said sheepishly. She finished off her thid firewhisky and leaned back in her seat.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 01:52 AM (GMT)
Jer watched Gen and as he did he couldn’t help the surprise that flickered through his eyes at her actions. He instantly felt bad as he assumed his discomfort had showen through his calm facade. Out of instinct Jer’s hand flew to cup Gen’s face in his hand softly making it so she was facing him and could see his face. Looking at her with his apologetic hazel eyes he hoped Gen could see that he was sorry and he hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings. He just wasn’t sure how he felt about her yet and didn’t want to give her the conclusion of something if they were wrong. Thinking this Jer brushed his thumb against her cheek gently before letting his hand slide back to the table. Flashing the woman a warm smile he watched as her eyes moved to the window outside.

“Is there something better out there to look at then me?” He asked jokingly in a way telling her she didn’t have to answer that. Jer hoped with his joking manner he could make the mood more happy and bubbly as it once was. Turn her disappointment to something else. Sighing quietly as he thought this he cursed himself mentally for probably ruining the whole evening. Dumba**, he thought to himself as he downed his firewhiskey and opened the butterbeer.

His thoughts moving to a different subject he thought on how to make up for what he’d just done only to be interrupted by Gen exclaiming something. Turning his hazel eyes towards her Jer lifted a quizzical eyebrow wondering if he heard what he just did. His thoughts though were confirmed seconds later that he had when he heard Gen tell him she was a seer. Jaw dropping Jer shook his head in disbelief their “game” now forgotten.

“You’ve got to be kidding me….” Jer announced still shaking his head. After a few moments though he glanced sharply to Gen his gaze locking with hers. “Are you serious? Your really a seer?”

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Gen was shocked when Jer took her face and made her look at him. All she cold do was stare into his eyes. She could see that he really did like her, just not that far yet. Gen was completley speechless the whole time Jer held her face. When he touched her face with his thumb, she instantly melted inside. His touch was gentle yet harsh. She loved it.

She heard his remark about looking out the window rather than him. Gen blushed and said, "If you dont mind, Id rather look at you." She said sheepishly. She was feeling a bit tipsy, it was nice.

Gen answered Jers question. He was astonished that she was a seer and she didnt know why. It wasnt a big deal to her. "Yes..." She said a bit confused, "Im really a seer. Why are you in shock?" Gen said laughing a bit. It was funny to see someones reaction to something that shes had since she was a child.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 07:40 PM (GMT)
Jer watched as shock and surprise flashed through the expressions on her face as he gently cupped her face. He smiled slightly, but only just slightly. Watching the emotions on her face told Jer Gen cared about quite a bit and that worried him. Worried him because if he didn’t care for her in the same way…well it just wouldn’t be a good thing. He sighed quietly at his thoughts knowing this kind of thing had happened to him many times in the past so he was used to it. Even so being used to it still didn’t make it easy.

Shaking his thoughts away Jer listened as Gen went ahead and replied to his joking manner about the looking outside rather than him. He chuckled softly as he saw her blush and heard her answer. Of course, he thought. Jer couldn’t help but know he knew she’d answer it anyways.

“I don’t mind at all Gen,” he replied softly before smiling over at her. As he finished this sentence Jer’s thoughts went right back to Gen being a seer. Out of all things! He would have never guessed that in a million years. He was surprised to say the least and he knew the surprise and shock had shown and still did as she heard the woman speak.

“Why am I in shock? You really don’t know that answer?” Jer asked his hazel eyes peering into Gen’s dark blue ones. “Come on Gen wouldn’t you be surprised if I told you I was a seer also? A seer isn’t someone you meet every day or even date….it’s just well….hmmm. I’m assuming you’ve always been a seer right?” Asking this question Jer watched Gen curiously. As the shock and surprise left him he was now feeling quite curious. He couldn’t stop the many questions he wanted to ask her.

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
Gen was looking at Jer curiously. Gens family had made a big deal abotu it when they ound out, but then the whole family got used to it and didnt care that much. Gen hadnt told anyonem therefore hasnt gotten any attention about it in years.

Gen took a drink of butterbeer and shifted her weight in her seat. "I guess I would be a bit shocked if I found out that you were a seer too.I've known I've had the ability since I was nine. So basically, yeah Ive had it my whole life and it wasnt a big deal in my family, so Im just a bit embarassed...sorry" Gen said taking a drink of her butterbeer. Gen didnt know what to say about it. "What would you like to know abotu my ability?" She said.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 09:07 PM (GMT)
Jer looked to Gen his hazel eyes watching her as she answered his question. When she spoke about being embarrassed and people not making a big deal out of it he winced slightly. That’s exactly what he was doing. Looking toward her Jer flashed the woman an apologetic smile. He didn’t mean to make a big deal out of the whole thing, but he had to admit it was kind of hard not to. After all there weren’t many true seer’s out there.

“I’m sorry Gen. I really don’t mean to embarrass you. That’s not my intention and hasn’t been my intention ever since we met. It’s just….well there really aren’t that many true seers out there and since I’ve only met one well two is a rare thing. I’m surprised and shocked to say the least,” Jer announced flashing Gen his lop sided grin as she went on to as what he wanted to know about her ability. Instantly Jer straightened up in his seat and thought. With each question that went through his mind he made a face and shook his head. This went on for about five minutes or so before he turned and grinned over at Gen.

“Okay can you see the future and past? If so how do you see it? I mean do you have to touch someone or an object to get the memories flowing or what? How does it exactly work?” Stopping at this point Jer realized he’d been rambling and actually blushed slightly. Flashing Gen a sheepish smile he added quietly, “You don’t have to answer all of those of course.”

OOC: It's short! WOW! LOL

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
Gen kenw she was being a bit harsh abut the whole 'dont make a big deal out of it' thing, but she couldnt help it. She really didnt think it to be a big deal. Mostly, she just doesnt want to be a bragger. She sipped away at her butterbeer. She wanted more firewhisky, but she was already a bit tipsy, she didnt want to make a fool of herself.

Gen accepted Jers apology with a nod of the head. She also thought to herself, Two? Who else does he know thats a seer? She was interrupted by Jer asking a million questions about her ability. She smiled at him as he asked away. It was cute. "Oh no Ill asnwer them all! I can see the future and past, and well, all I really have to do in concentrate really hard on what I want to see, but that usually only happens when I want to look into the past. When I get a vision from the future, its usually, like you said, because I touched something that has to do with the vision or it will come out of nowhere. Usually touching something or a word will trigger it." Gen took another gulp of her butterbeer. "I havent had a vision in about three weeks to a month now. I dont know why." Gen said smiling.

Gen then remembered that Jer said he knew two seers now. "Who are the other seers you know Jer?" Gen asked.

Jeraud Cynster - May 30, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
Taking a drink of his butterbeer Jer listened to Gen answer his questions. Part of him couldn’t believe he’d been right in his way of thinking on some of the questions. He’d assumed that she’d have to touch something or someone to get memories but he didn’t know it was when just seeing the future. Concentrating hard to see the past? Didn’t know it was that easy, he thought to himself curiously. As Gen went on to tell him she hadn’t had a vision in three weeks to a month Jer frowned.

“Is that a bad thing?” He asked bluntly. Then paused as he heard her question to him. His old divination teacher Trelawney was the other….well now that he thought on it he frowned slightly. “Actually I’m changing my answer you’re the only one I know.” Saying this he shrugged and smiled over at Gen before taking another drink of his butterbeer.

“So do you like being a seer?” As Jer asked Gen this he watched the blonde intently watching for any signs of discomfort. After all if she didn’t want to talk about her ability anymore he wanted to know so he could in turn shut himself up.

OOC: Ehh I made a mistake. I thought Trelawney was one but technically it doesn’t say she is. Just go along with my post, lol. Sorry for shortness!

Genevieve Rasmuse - May 30, 2008 10:03 PM (GMT)
"Well no its not bad...at least I dont think so. I dont really know." Gen said. "I've went longer without having a vision and Im ok so, I think Ill be fine." She said smiling. She then heard Jer change his answer, she then giggled at him. "You know its really hard to look into the past. I know when I say concentrate, it sounds asy, but it takes some time and practice to see things clearly." Gen said blushing a bit. She felt like she was bragging now.

Gen heard him ask if she liked being a seer. "Good question Jer!" She said. She didnt really know how to answer him. "Well, I guess like it. Sometimes its a pain when you have an all-of-the-sudden vision in public. You dont move when you have a vision and sometimes thats a problem, visions can last long or short, depending on how powerful of a seer you are." Gen said this and it made her think of something. "I went to the ministry of magic and got tested for how strongly I can see visions and they rated me at the medium level. I think thats pretty good for not working on it since I was nine or ten." Gen said giggling.

Jeraud Cynster - May 31, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
Jer listened to Gen a nodded his eyes watching the woman the whole time letting her know he was paying attention. It was a respectful and not to mention polite thing to do. When she went to answer his question about it being a bad thing he sighed quietly in relief to know it was a common thing with her. If it hadn’t been Jer would have been worried. Worried from a healer prospective, but also by a friend prospective. After all he didn’t want to see Gen hurt or worse dead because of her ability.

“Well you make it sound so easy I guess I assumed it was,” he said commenting on her last sentence. Of course he should have known it wasn’t, but the way she said it made it sound like it was the easiest thing in the world. “Anyways I’m glad to hear it’s a common thing. The whole not having a vision in a while. If it wasn’t I’d have to be worried.” Smiling over at Gen as he said this Jer listened on to her answer his question about liking her ability.

Jer laughed a little as he heard Gen praise his good question. As she went on to answer the good question though he frowned slightly. It seemed being a seer and being able to see the future and past wasn’t what it was all cracked up to be. Hearing Gen’s answer made him realize how much of a pain the ability could give oneself. Nevertheless he knew being a seer had it’s ups and downs.

“Medium level huh? Second to highest level correct? I have to agree with you that’s it not bad either, especially since you don’t work on mastering your ability….” Trailing off at this point Jer glanced at Gen taking in her face before asking, “Do you want to stop talking about it? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.” Smiling softly as he said this Jer waited patiently for her answer. It didn’t matter to him either way.

OOC: Ehh bad post, sorry. I was trying to get one in before I leave for a little though.

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 1, 2008 11:09 PM (GMT)
"Yeah having a vision isn't like an everyday thing. Just once in awhile." Gen said. She was getting a bit tired of being in the pub. She was fidgeting around a bit in her seat.

Gen listened as Jer spoke to her. She nodded here and there to show she was paying attention. She then heard him ask if she wanted to stop talking about it. "Oh well only if you dont have any more questions about it." Gen said with a smile. She didnt particularly care if they kept talking about it, she was in a bit of a blazee mood all of the sudden.

Jeraud Cynster - June 2, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
Jer nodded at Gen after hearing her words. When she finally answered his question about not talking about it he smiled slightly over at the woman. As he watched Gen Jer couldn’t help but feel now that they’ve been talking for awhile that the conversation was sort of dying. He frowned slightly at this revelation as he watched Gen fidgeting. Noticing she was getting a bit tired of sitting, or at least he assumed, Jer stood up and extended his hand out to Gen.

“We don’t have to talk about it anymore. By the way I was wondering if you wanted to take a stroll and get out of this place. It seems your becoming a little annoyed with sitting shall we say?” Saying this Jer flashed her his lop sided grin before waiting for her reaction.

OOC: Sorry so short. Longer post next time!

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 2, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
Gen smiled, She was glad they were leaving. It was way too nice outside to stay inside. Gen took his hand and stood up. "Thank you." Gen said cutely. She stood up and readjusted her clothes, she had been sitting awhile so her outfit was a bit bunched up. She smiled at Jer as they headed towards the door.

Gen opened the door and looked outside, "Oh its beautiful outside!" Gen said. She was xcited to be going on a walk. She loved the outdoors. She stepped outside and said, "Lets go!"

Jeraud Cynster - June 3, 2008 12:09 AM (GMT)
“Your welcome,” Jer announced as he felt Gen’s hand enclose in his as she stood up. He was glad to see her smiling once again and not looking so gloomy like she had been moments ago. He didn’t want this “date” to be a bad experience for her since it seemed she didn’t get asked out much. He didn’t see why she wouldn’t but from what Gen had told him when they’d first met she didn’t. So ever since she had asked him out Jer wished to make today one of her best dates ever. Doesn’t seem like your doing a good job of that. Way to go buddy. Wincing slightly at the voice in his head Jer shook his thoughts away as he heard Gen exclaim ‘let’s go!’.

“Well I see someone is excited,” Jer announced laughing at Gen’s excitement. “If I would have known you got so excited by being outdoors I would have suggested we left the Three Broomsticks all together and go have a picnic.” Smiling over at Gen as he closed the pub door behind them he extended his arm out and glanced her way his hazel eyes watching Gen expectantly.

“Come on. I know where we can go,” Jer announced suddenly a small smirk forming on his features. “And don’t ask where. It’s going to be a surprise.” Adding this Jer grinned over at Gen. The place he knew wasn’t too far from Hogsemeade. All they had to do was pass into the small forest behind the wizarding town and head toward the middle where behold was a beautiful place. The beautiful place in question had a small waterfall and lake. Hardly anyone was ever there and that was just one of the things that made the place perfect.

“Well what do you say Gen?”

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 3, 2008 12:36 AM (GMT)
Gen blushed a bit when she heard Jer tell her she was excited. She did love the outdoors. "Oh a picnic wouldhave been nice! But Im having a good time, really." Gen said giving him a reassuring smile.

As they went outside, Jeraud held his arm out to Gen. She wasnt sure if he wanted to hold hands or link arms. Ge decided to link his arm, seeing as how he didnt seem to like holding hands in the pub. She listened as he told her about a place. "Oh a surprise! Im always up for a surprise!"

As they walked, they started heading out of hogsmeade. Gen was a bit curious by this, but trusted that Jer knew the way, he seemed sure of its location. They kept walking and Gen was enjoying the scenery the whole way. The trees, the sky, and Jer, arms linked and right next to her. She was enjoying every minute of it.

Rebecca Emery - June 3, 2008 01:43 AM (GMT)
Jer grinned as Gen went ahead and announced she was having a good time. It made him feel a little better about having not destroyed the whole dating experience for her yet. Even so in the back of his mind he knew she could of course lie, but why she would he didn’t know. Nevertheless he turned to Gen and smiled.

“I’m glad your having a good time. I was slightly worried I have to admit that you weren’t. Though now that you’ve said you are I can now relax,” Jer told Gen as she went ahead and linked arms with him. Resting his right hand over her arm he gave her a gentle squeeze and a soft smile. He didn’t want to have another scene like earlier after all. She hoped his actions reassured her that everything was okay and that he didn’t mind. After all why would have offered his arm in the first place?

Laughing quietly he listened as she exclaimed on liking surprises. Leaning towards her for a moment he whispered good before leaning away his arm still linked with hers as he made his way out of Hogsmeade. As they continued to walk, finally making their way into the forest, Jer glanced every so often to Gen just to make sure she was doing alright. As Jer glanced around them he finally stopped after five minutes or so into the forest and turned to Gen.

Grinning over at the woman Jer unclasped his arm from hers before saying, “Okay now since this is a surprise I want you to close your eyes. I’ll hold your hand the whole way and guide you. But if you don’t trust me, just say so and we don’t have to do it.” Glancing over at Gen his hazel eyes intent yet excited he waited for her response before taking her hand. He hoped that she trusted him enough to do this. I won’t blame her if she doesn’t, Jer thought after a second his head tilting to the side as he waited and watched her.

OOC: Ehh sorry wrong account. Forgot to change.

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 3, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
Gen listened to Jer as he told her he was worried she wasnt having a good time. "Oh no! Ive been having a good time the whole time! Promise." Gen said as she felt him squeeze her arm lightly. She was very happy at this point and felt very lucky also. As they walked Gen noticed that he kept glancing over her way, probably to make sure Im havign a good time. Gen thought to herself as she chuckled.

Jer stopped her and told her this was the surprise and she needed to close her eyes. Gen smiled big and blushed a bit. She was very excited. She wanted to know what the surprise was NOW. "No I trust you." Gen said as she covered her eyes and took Jers hadn as he lead her into god knows what.

OOC: sorry so short! :P

Jeraud Cynster - June 3, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
"Oh no! I’ve been having a good time the whole time! Promise."

Hearing Gen exclaim this made Jer laugh. He was once again glad that she was having a good time. Her insisting him that she was let Jer sigh in relief as if she had just taken a weight off his shoulders. And in a way she sort of had. He’d had a bad night with the whole werewolf attack on his mother’s lover and then going along and thinking he’d screwed today up for Gen made him feel like a complete jerk. Though now that she kept on insisting he was able to relax a lot more easily.

Coming out of his thoughts Jer glanced over at Gen when she heard her chuckle. Raising an eyebrow in confusion he wondered what she was thinking. Nevertheless he turned away once they’d made it five minutes into the forest. Going ahead and asking Gen to close her eyes he waited for the blonde’s answer. Smiling he watched as she instantly closed her beautiful dark blue eyes and blushed a soft shade of pink. When he heard the words ‘I trust you’ Jer couldn’t help but grin, even though he knew she couldn’t see it.

“Good, I’m glad you do,” Jer announced as he felt her take his hand. Smiling he gave her small hand a gentle squeeze before continuing to walk into the forest. When they finally made it to the clearing after a five minute walk of comfortable silence Jer stopped then glanced around the area before them. Hazel eyes brightening he knew the place was the same as usual but even so it still ceased to amaze him on how simple but beautiful it was.

“Alright Gen….open your eyes,” Jer announced softly turning his gaze away from the small waterfall he knew she would be able to hear. Watching Gen, unaware of there still clasped hands, he waited for the reaction steadying himself just incase she was going to barge at him with a hug or anything of the sort.

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 4, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
Gen squeezed Jers hand in return to let him know she was ready. Gen had her eyes closed and her hands over them also. She knew she would give adn open her eyes early, but she still wanted it to be a surprise.

As the ywalked, Gen could hear water. She knew they were in th forest, so where could this water be coming from? Gen thought. She was streaming with anticipation, then finally Jer said, 'open your eyes.' And when Gen did she saw a beautiful waterfall and luscious green grass. She was so excited that she ran over to the waterfall and got as close as she could.

"Oh its beautiful Jer!" Gen said. She then ran back to him and gave him a hug. "This is the best place anyone could take me to, thank you." Gen whispered. She then ran back over and sat by the waterfall. She loved the outdoors. She tmotions to Jer to come sit by her.

Jeraud Cynster - June 8, 2008 05:09 AM (GMT)
Watching Gen’s reaction made Jer laugh aloud. It seemed she was quite surprised and happy about the surprise. Personally he was glad she enjoyed it, because of his thoughts earlier about completely screwing up the date. Even though she continued to insist Jer still felt the same. It was a flaw of his. One that he didn’t care for much. After all who would?

Shaking his head Jer’s train of thought was interrupted by Gen exclaim how beautiful the place was. He grinned his lop sided grin in reply only for it to be ruined by laughter that came as Gen ran to him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Being ready for it Jer’d steadied himself. Glad I did so, he thought to himself amused knowing if he hadn’t he’d probably would have fell over just then.

"This is the best place anyone could take me to, thank you."

Hearing the woman whisper this to him Jer just grinned, feeling like her happiness was contagious. “I’m glad you like it Gen,” he announced his voice raised slightly as Gen ran back to sit by the waterfall. Watching he finally moved toward her when she motioned for him to come sit. All along he was thinking how glad he was he’d remembered this place. After all it seemed Gen loved the place and also it had bee quite awhile since he’d visited. Seven years or so, he thought to himself as he finally sat down next Gen and glanced out to the waterfall watching how the water fell and splashed into the lake on the ground floor.

“Amazing isn’t it?”

OOC: So sorry about late reply. I couldn't get into character and plus I've been busy.

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 9, 2008 08:34 PM (GMT)
Gen was sitting with her kneed wrapped up in her arms. She had a big grin on her face that she couldnt get to come off no matter how hard she tried. She stared at the waterfall and listened. It was so relaxing. She then heard Jer ask her something. "It is magnificent. Where did you learn of this place?" Gen asked.

She laid on her back and closed her eyes. She could smell the grass and the water. She could almost feel it splashing on her. She breathed deeply and opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was Jer. He was so right. Gen couldnt stop thinking about it. She didnt want to get her hopes up though. She wasnt all that sure how Jer though of her.

OOC: Sorry so short!

Jeraud Cynster - June 9, 2008 11:12 PM (GMT)
Jer had been in his own thoughts when he heard Gen agree with him that the place was amazing then ask on how he’d come to find it. Glancing at her for the briefest of moments Jer’s hazel eyes became emotionless. Bad memories came up almost instantly flooding his mind of the past. A past that was hurtful for him. One that he rather wished he wouldn’t remember. Even so his mind didn’t work that way. He had found this place with Selene, with their first trip to Hogsmeade in their third year. He remembered how good of a time they’d had and how later in the year when summer had come around that they’d swam in the lake. This had always been a tradition for them. This was where the relationship had escalated from friends to well….lovers. Frowning at that sudden word Jer shook his head and turned to Gen and smiled instead, to hide away his real emotions at the moment.

“I learned of this place in my third year with a….friend. Ever since finding it out it had become a tradition to come here,” Jer finally replied his words simple. His tone implying that he wasn’t going to say anymore on the subject. He didn’t mean it in a mean way, but it was just talking about Selene was, truthfully, harder than anything he did or had done. There was too much pain involved when thinking of her or bringing her up. And personally he didn’t want to feel the pain. Not now or ever.

Sighing quietly at his thoughts Jer didn’t notice Gen staring at him, watching him. So when he turned to her he was completely clueless when he blurted out, “Is there something on my face?” Leaning forward closer to the water for good measure he sat down on his knees and moved his head toward the water as he cupped water into his hands and splashed it on his face. After all he wanted to get whatever was on his face (if there even was anything) off.

Genevieve Rasmuse - June 9, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
Gen laughed at Jer as he splashed water on his face. Gen sat up on her knees and said. "No no you dont have anything on your face." She pulled Jer back from the water. "I was staring at you" Gen said. She didnt realize she hd done this, but Jer and her were almost nose to nose. Gen smiled and blushed. She wanted to kiss him. They were in perfect position and Gen had a bit of feelings for him. Gen was too afraid to pull away. She just kept smiling and blushing.

Jeraud Cynster - June 10, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
Jer had continued to wipe his face off with the lake water until he heard Gen laugh and answer his question. He smiled sheepishly to himself knowing if he had been paying attention he would have known she was just watching him. Shaking his head at his ways Jer was suddenly pulled up from the water. Turning to glance at Gen to smile at her he was suddenly nose to nose with the women. Surprised at this sudden closeness he blinked his hazel eyes, but didn’t move back. He continued to stare at her pink cheeks and smiling lips as memories of Selene suddenly flooded into his brain.

Looking into Gen’s eyes he tried to shake his memories away. This woman wasn’t Selene and just to prove to himself that she wasn’t he leaned in and kissed Gen softly. Letting his lips mold with hers and move as if to their own beat. When he was finished he let his lips linger an inch above hers, his breath brushing her bottom lip as he thought on what he’d just done. He’d kissed Gen for his own selfish needs and now the guilt was rising in him striking him like a blow to the stomach. At those thoughts Jer pulled away rather suddenly and winced as he turned from Gen. After a few moments when his thoughts finally settled along with his breathing did he speak.

“I’m sorry Gen….it….it wasn’t right for me to kiss you. Not now,” Jer announced his voice rather quiet as he kept his hazel eyes locked on the lake before them. He knew as those words left his mouth he would have to explain and he grimaced at the thought. He liked Gen yes, but it had been so long since he’d been with a woman except for the occasional date that he had trouble with deciphering his emotions. Something Jer knew he wished wouldn’t be a problem but was. All because of her….he thought to himself quietly as he waited for Gen to speak.
