Gen was walking towards the doors that lead outside. Finn was next to her, walking with her. As they made their way through the doro undetected. Gen slowed her pace and headed towards the lake. "Mind if we walk by the lake? I like the smell of it at night. And maybe we will see the giant squid." Gen said flashing Finn a pretty smile.

Finn was glowing. He couldn't believe what he had accomplished. Not only did he dance with perhaps the most beautiful women in all of Britain, he was leaving the dance with her. "The lake sounds excellent." Finn replied. He grimisec a bit on the inside... He had a rather unpleasent run in with the giant squid during his fifth year... He nearly died, and it was only for a girl... This was different though. This romantic venture may have been based on substance rather than superficialness...

Gen was still holding on to Finns arm. She let go, realizing what she was doing, and blushed a bit. "Sorry." She exclaimed. She walked with a bit of a bounce to her. She was still in her dress clothes. As they were walking, Gen slipped her heels off and threw them by a tree. "So, you want to talk or just enjoy teh silence?" Gen said with a smile.

Finn gazed up at the stars. He noticed Venus was particularly bright tonight. "I don't know," he said, disappointed that she let go of his arm, but desperate not to show it, "We can do what ever you want to do." Finn took off his jacket and set it on the ground so they could sit. He loosened his tie a smidgen and gazed out on the lake. It seemed so serene and placid, despite the dangers that lurked beneath.

Gen sat down on Finns coat. "Thanks'" she said. Gen had to sit fairly close to Finn to avoid sitting on the cold wet grass. She leaned in a bit since it was chilly out. "Its quiet and relaxing out isnt it?" She said to Finn. She had her knees up and they were being held by her arms. She shivered a bit as a cold breeze came across them.

"This is probably my favorite place save the Astronomy Tower," Finn said. The weather had been strange lately, hot and muggy during the day, and cold and brisk during the night. Finn was cold as well, but was determined not to show it... "I can see why people are staying inside tonight... Usually everyone has gone to their nooks by this point of night. He wished he had something more to give her to keep warm, but unfortunately he didn't.

Gen was holding her arms a bit. She wasnt freezing but the chill was just enough to bother her. "Yeah its a bit chilly out here." Gen said. She was glad she asked Finn to come with her. She was also glad that this was one of his favorite places, as it was one of hers too. Gen laid back in the grass not caring about the wet grass anymore. She heaved a sigh and looked at the stars.

Finn couldn't believe the professor laying down. The grass was much too wet for him to even think about laying down. He was cold anyways and the water would have made it worse. He smiled at her and instead leaned against the tree. "What did you do before you came to Hogwarts?" Finn asked, she seemed like a well rounded person despite being so young.

Gen sat up on her arms and smiled. "Well I worked at the Apothecary for awhile and the store owner suggested that I go to the Ministry and get tested and approved to be a otiosn teacher, and here I am today. I know its pretty boring, but it all happened so quickly." Gen said. "What are your plans when you get out of Hogwarts?"

"I'm not sure," Finn said, "I have a few ideas... Maybe, I'd like to be a teacher..." He really hadn't given it much thought, "Maybe I'd like to be an auror... One thing I know is that I really don't want a ministry job..." Finn sighed, "I have so many options... I have no idea..."

Gen laid back down and sighed. It was very relaxing out by the lake that night. The air was crisp and refreshing to Gens lungs. She decided to change that. She sat up and sat crosslegged and pulled a pack of cigarettes out of her handbag. She lit it up and took a hit. "Well it seems like your'e not completly sure on what you want? Your'e a seventh year right? You should proabably get on that." Gen said with a smile. She was trying to be cute with him, not rude, she hoped he got that. Sometimes Gen was a bit had to read.

Finn was a bit surprised at the professor's decision to light up. He would not have guessed that she was a smoker in a million years, but tried to play down his shock. "That's why I'm taking an extra year of school next year..." Finn said, "I've been through the ups and downs of this school, mostly the ups were just slight improvements to the downs... And the downs... They were so detrimental to my education... I'm not sure I should be considered a 7th year... I probably only have the magical capacity of a fifth year..."

Gen took another puff. "Oh really." She said in amazement. "YOu seem so smart, I would have never guessed you to be one of the..." Gen didnt know how to say it without being rude. "...the not-so-smart-ones." Gen said with a sheepish smile. "I would have guessed you to be one of the kids at the top of his class or something." Gen said.

Finn smiled, seeing that she didn't quite understand him., "I'm not one of the dumb one's, Professor, it isn't hard to be more intelligent than just about everyone that goes here," Finn replied, "I just haven't learned everything I think I should learn from this school... I don't think that I have enough knowledge to compete for a job at this point in time..."

Gen smiled and took an other puff. "Well I think thats smart on your part. And sorry to call you stupid. Thats not what I meant." Gen said with a sheepish grin. "This lake is nice, but is there anything else you wish to do Finnigan?" Gen said with her dark blue eyes looking into Finns.

He returned her gaze. Was he that brave? He doubted it... "Whatever did you have in mind professor?" Finn continued to stare back into her eyes, wondering if had the same notions he did... He wanted to kiss her, but waited for her to make the first move.

Gen leaned in closer, hopefully to give the hint that she wanted him. She knew it was wong but there was something about Finn she couldnt get enough of. His mysteriousness maybe? His looks? She wasnt sure but it was something. As she leaned in sultry-like, she looked into Finns eyes and gave him a sexy smile. "Well I was hoping you had something in mind Finnigan." Gen wasnt sure how to maek the first move, she also couldnt get the courage to do it. She hoped that Finn would do it for her.

"I'm sure I can think of something..." Finn said getting closer to her. Unable to control himself any longer, Finn closed his eyes and kissed the professor. It was the perfect kiss in his opinion. The kind that seemed to last forever. After what felt like a lifetime, he gently released. There was an awkward pause in which Finn had no idea what to do...

Gen was waiting for this. Finn had leaned in and kissed her. She fet like she was in another world. She knew it was wrong but it felt so right. Gen let Finn pull away from her. She was speechless. It was a perfect kiss. His lips were so soft and hungry, but still gentle. Gen sat in the same potision but leaned in a bit farther. "Dont tell on me ok?" Gen said touching his lips with her finger. She gave him a coy smile and leaned in and kissed him again.

Finn's seemingly hopeless plan had worked. "You don't have to worry about me Gen," he said, using her first name for the first time. He wrapped his arms around her, enjoying every moment of the evening. Fireworks went off in his mind as she returned his kiss. He hadn't felt that way ever... He was glad that if nothing else, they had that night.

Gen was happy. She knew deep down that she should not be doing yhis, but Finn was different. He was 18, which made it technically ok for them to be doing this, but Gen knew that if word got out, things would get bad. She stayed in Finns arms soaking it all up. He really was a sweet guy, even though he is five years younger. Gen wiggled around for a second to readjust her position, then heaved a sigh and stared into Finns eyes.

Finn watched the sky. He saw a shooting star and secretly made a wish that the two of them would be together for a long time. He felt something between them... Some kind of unspoken bond. He knew his wish would come true. Finn returned her gaze and ran one of his hands through her long golden locks. "We can meet in Hogsmeade," He said after a while, "There are a lot of places we can go to be alone where no one will see us..." Finn neglected to mention that he had a summer cottage his parents had bought for him for his seventeenth birthday... "Will you meet me there on Friday after classes?"

Gen sat up after hearing Finn ask her to meet in Hogsmeade with her. "Yeah sure, where at? Which store do you want to meet in?" Gen said. She liked it when Finn ran his fingers through her hair. His touch felt so good to her. She was so pleased with herself.
