Title: Late Night Stroll
Description: Finn

Casey Bryant - May 31, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
Casey walked with Finn from the Astronomy Tower down towards the lake, it was a long walk, but not so bad with company. It was nice outside, perhaps a little chilly, but bearable nonetheless. Casey looked up at Finn, smiling. She was glad that he had wanted to go on a walk too, she wasn't sure that could've stood being in the castle for much longer. It wasn't so much that the castle was small, it really wasn't. But she just hated being indoors all day. Sometimes being surrounded by walls can be a bit imprisoning. Being outside is almost like being free, there's nothing keeping you there.

It had been a weird day for Casey. She hadn't seen Finn in ages, they used to hang out all the time, and they kind of started going out. But, obviously, that one didn't work out. But seeing Finn again had resurfaced some old feelings and she wasn't sure what to think at this point. "So what's your favorite place in Hogwarts?" Casey asked by way of making conversation. "I'm torn really. I guess it depends on the time of day or the weather. For sunsets and starry skies I'd have to say that the Astronomy tower beats all places. But the grounds are a great place to just sit and hang out, especially when the weather's nice."

"The astronomy tower for sure," Finn said. He hadn't realized how chilly it was outside until he left the astronomy tower. In retrospect, he probably should have brought a light jacket rather than nothing... "But the area near the lake is becoming one of my favorites..." Even though it was rather late at night, the stars were still out in full force. He could make out all the constellations from astronomy class, but the slightest hint of morning was appearing.

Casey nodded, "Yea. It is a pretty awesome place, you can see anything from there!" she said rather enthusiastically. She shivered slightly, she'd been alright at first, but she was beginning to get a bit cold. Still, it wasn't so bad in comparison. She could deal with. She glanced up at the sky, a smile forming as she took in the beautiful array of stars. "It's so nice out tonight" She said softly. "There are so many stars"

Finn zipped his jacket up, it was chilly, not cold, just brisk. The moon seemed huge. He laid back on the grass and looked up at the stars. "There aren't too many places where you can see everything like you can from on the Astronomy tower..." He put his arms behind his head. "I like it right here as well..." He said after a while, "I think this is probably the best view..." He looked at the moon and stars reflecting off the black lake. "What a painting that would make..."

Casey lay down next to Finn, putting her hands behind her head. She smiled, gazing up at the sky, feeling completely content. She sighed softly, making out a few constellations. "Can you believe how clear it is tonight. It's perfect." She said quietly, feeling that if she spoke to loudly she would disturb the peace of the night. Night had always been Casey's favorite time of day. It was always peaceful and empty and there was always the familiarity of the moon and the sky. "I think you're right, This is definitely the best view. And it would make an amazing painting." She smiled, looking over at Finn momentarily before turning her gaze back to the sky.
