Emily sat down on the old bench in Hogsmeade. She was getting used to the places in Hogwarts and near Hogwarts. She got a letter from her old friend at her old school. It said


Dear Emily

We all miss you a lot. School isn't the same without you. But you had to because of what happened and none of us blame you. Well the potions teacher doesn't miss you (well you did blow up the class almost like 10000 times). See in the holidays.

It was a short letter but still it was a letter. She really missed her friends but she didn't miss the school and teachers. As Emily finished reading the letter she looked but and there was someone standing in front of her. "Oh hi" Emily said to the person standing in front of her.

AJ noticed a girl sitting on a bench reading a letter as he left Hog's Head, his preferred Hogsmeade hang out. The girl looked interesting, he liked her style. He found himself standing near her staring at her.

"Oh hi" she said to him.

AJ was startled, he hadn't noticed he stopped walking.

"Hi there. I'm Andrej," he put his right hand out for her to shake it.

"Pleasure to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you to. I'm Emily" She said. The guy standing in front of her was quite tall. She had seen him before around school and the other girl had talked about him. Emily wondered if what they said was true.

Emily hadn't of shock hands with her. Emily grabbed his hand and shaked it.

"You want to sit down?" Emily asked. She moved her black bag with the letters L.S.T.Y.D wrote on it. Emily noticed that he was staring at her bellybutton piercing. Emily thought maybe this shirt wasn't the best idea.

Emily looked at her rings. The one her index finger on her right hand was her favorite of all her rings. It was the one her last boyfriend gave her when they started dating. They were on good terms now tho. She put her hands on her bright green skinny jeans.

Emily stopped looking at her rings and looked back up at Andrej "So have I seen you around Hogwarts before?" Emily asked.

He noticed he was staring and stopped. He thought her style was wicked awesome. Atleast she had a personality. Andrej was standing there awkwardly. His huge stature blocked out the sun and kept her in shadows.

"I've been around. I'm 6th year Ravenclaw."

He noticed her bag with letters on it and asked, "What's that stand for?"

He was going to sit down next to her but decided against it.

"Oh that its nothing important. Just something from ages ago back when I broke up with my old boyfriend Rick" Emily said.

Emily noticed that he looked a bit awkward. Guys never really did that around her. The gave her the more *you're a weirdo* look.

"So, have you been at Hogwarts all 6 years?"

"Yeah. Being Muggleborn my parents didn't know anything about Hogwarts. The headmaster had to explain about Voldemort and everything. My parents were very excited for me. I recently found out my aunt was a witch. She died by Bella Lestrange."

He thought she was interesting. "What house and year are you in? Have you always been here?"

He was growing tire of standing and sat down next to her.

"No I went to Beauxbatons back in France. It's an all girls school. Oh I'm in Hufflepuff and a 4th year" Emily said.

Emily looked down at her new black boots and thought Damn my boots are messy.

"Anyway, how has your school year been?"

He noticed her look at her boots but didnt think much of it.

"It's been..." he thought for a second, "interesting."

He thought back on the recent times he had had at Hogwarts.

"I've been flying pretty solo up until recently. I've met a lot of new people."

He itched his short hair, "How about you? Lots of friends?"

Emily looked up from her boots and said "I have a few. I just started so its good that I do have friends".

Emily looked at Andrej and said "Anyway, what are you interested in. I mean like in subjects" Emily asked.

He loved talking about school, he was such a nerd.

"I love Transfiguration!" he said pulling out his copy of Transfiguration Today. He was very proud of being top in his year in the class. Though he was very advanced in Transfiguration he hated Herbology. He wasn't to bad with Charms and spells.

"How about you? What classes do you like?"

Emily laughed. "I also love Transfig. But I hate potions, I can't stand it."

Suddenly an own flew over and landed on Emily. "Hi Fluff what are you doing here?" Emily asked. Fluff dropped a letter onto Emily's lap, and then flew away.

"That was Fluff my sisters owl" Emily told Andrej.

An owl flew over head giving Emily a letter.

"That was Fluff my sisters owl" Emily told Andrej.

Andrej didn't have a pet owl, he just used to ones from the owlery.

He looked at her as she looked at the letter.

"Who's it from?" he asked her.

Emily looked down at the letter sitting on her lap. I add in her little sisters writing

"It's just from my sister. Her probably saying she got a new pony, she named it princess and they love each other" Emily told Andrej as she put the letter in her bag.

"A pony?" he looked at her. "People really get ponies as gifts?"

He laughed a little, "Wow. The most my parents gave me was a nice football.' He had forgotten many wizards don't know muggle sports. "Like a quaffle."

"Yeah I know what a football is" Emily told Andrej. "My Dad owns a muggle shop".

Andrej looked a little surprised about the pony thing. "Yeah well my parent are loaded" Emily said trying not to sound like she was bragging. "The family years back invented something in the muggle world. I don't remember what it's called but Dad says everyone uses it" Emily told Andrej.

"Inventors eh? I probably used it then."

That actually excited him alot.

"So you miss your family?" he asked her as he twiddled his thumbs.

"I miss mine...sometimes:"

Emily started to laugh at this question. Andrej looked at her like she was crazy. "No" Emily said between laughs. "I don't miss my family at all". Emily always found the question of if she missed her family funny. The fact was she hated them.

"Sorry about the laughing, but I always find that question funny for some reason" Emily told Andrej.

He felt uneasy that she laughed. He had hoped she didn't have a rough childhood and he reopened some wounds.

Night was falling quickly. "I'm going to head back to the castle. Wanna join, or are you going to stay hear?"

He asked, he hoped she'd come so she wasn't out here all alone.

"Sure why not" Emily said.

Emily got up and grabbed her bag and but her cloak on. "So are we going now?"

He was already on his way when she joined him.

"Lets head to the great hall, see what is going on there. I'm sure a lot of people are there right now."

"lumos" he commanded to his wand and pulled out his copy of Transfiguration Today. He always read when he travelled. Walking and talking wasn't for him.

Emily looked in her bag and got out her mp4. Her muggle friend Jo had given it to her. She put the ear plugs into her ears and turned the mp4 on.

A while later the two came to the castle. "So here we are" Emily said

"Yeah, what did you have in mind? Did you want to get food, or meet up with some friends?"

He put his book away into his napsack.

He enjoyed the warmth of the castle.

"I have no idea. Its about dinner time right now isn't it. I may just go up to the Hufflepuff and do someones dirty work or go sit down next to the lake" Emily said

"What are you going to do?" Emily asked

"I have no clue." and he really didn't.

"I am hungry...and tired. I had a long day."

He was growing hungrier and more tired by the moment.

"I had something to eat back at Hogsmeade so I'm fine" Emily said.

"I'm going to go to the Hufflepuff table and just talk to my Hufflepuff friends. Maybe I'll see you after dinner" Emily said
