Gen waited at the gates to get into Hgsmeade. Finn never did tell her which store to meet her in. She was wearing a nice pair of jeans, some black kitty heels, a light pink top, and a jean jacket that matched her pants overtop. Her hair was curled like always and she had just got it cut, so her hair felt fresh and new. Gen had her hands behind her back waiting patiently. He said Friday after classes... Gen thought to herself. She was worried he wouldnt show, just like every other guy shed known.

Gen was tying not to look like she was waiting for someone, but it was easier said than done. She paced a bit and then in the distance, gen could make otu his chisled features and bright green eyes. He was making his way up to the gate. Gen awaited with a big grin on her face.

Freedom! Finally Friday classes were over and Finn was free. He practically ran to his dorm to change into some more casual clothes and to fix his hair. He put on a long sleeve button up shirt and black pants. He styled his hair in spikes, held with gel and made his way to Hogsmeade.

Finn rushed to the town gates, keeping his eyes peeled for his Professor, hopefully turned girlfriend. He finally saw her and walked up to her. "Gen!" He said, giving her a kiss on the cheek, "I'm sorry I'm late... I got out late..." He paused and regrouped, "You look very beautiful this evening..." He took her hand, "I know a quiet little cafe down this alley." He knew that nobody would see them as the place had recently opened to little fanfare.

He held the door open for her and asked her, "What would you like?"

Gen was a bit shocked that Finn kissed her on the cheek to greet her. The night they met and talked, he didnt seem too excited to talk to her. She blushed very dark and smiled. "Oh its not problem. And thank you, you look great yourself." Gen said smiling. Gen followed Finn to the cafe he mentioned. The building was very quaint and cute. They walked in and went to the front counter. "I would like a tea and a muffin if I may." She didnt want to break Finns bank, and she wasnt all that hungry anyways.

They got their food and took a seat at the back of the cafe. "Do you think anyone will see us in here?" She said a bit nervously to Finn.

Finn paid for the food and beverages and put a gallion tip in the tip jar. For some reason, women were always impressed when their date was a big tipper. He sat at the table across from Gen. Finn smiled, "This place just opened up... Despite its excellent pastries, people have seemed to ignore it..." He took a sip of his cappuccino and nibbled at his scone. "I think it's great... My friends don't really care for it, they seem to like to stick to the mainstream places... I'm always willing to try something new." Finn realized he was going off a bit. "How has your week been?" He asked, wanting to give her a chance to talk.

Gen sipped at her tea and ate her muffin. She was listening to Finn talk about this place he just found. "Yeah I dont remember this place being here last night. Its quite cute." Gen said. She then heard Finn ask her about her week. "Oh its been alright. Potions this and Potions that, you know." Gen felt a bit akward going on a ''date'' with a student. Neither of them called it a date but there really wasnt any other word for it. Gen tried her hardest not to seem akward.

"Flame Harishing, I dont know if you know her, but she gave me some trouble the other day in class. But thats the only exciting thing that happened to me lately." Gen said smiling. "How was your week?"

Finn nodded. He knew her when she was Flame Lestrange... Not this strange new girl... He didn't know her anymore... She seemed to be somebody different... He supposed that pregnancy made people do and say strange things... His mother had been the same way... "If you ever need somebody to 'accidentally' hex her... Just look my way..." He smiled, something just seemed right... "I've been having a pretty average week... I'm can't wait for summer... I think everyone is kind of burnt out on school..." He took another bite of his scone, unsure of what to say. There always seemed to be some kind of awkwardness between them... He supposed it was because she was supposed to be his teacher, but he didn't really care about that... At least, he didn't care if she didn't care.

Gen finished her muffin as she listened to Finn. She giggled when she heard him talk about Flame. "Im guessing you dont like her. She doesnt seem very friendly. She called me a mud-blood and half-blood and all that." Gen said. She then heard him talk about school. "I think everyones burnt out too. Im making my end of the year classes easier so no one gets too stressed." Gen said smiling. She took a sip of her tea and looked around. It got silent, Gen didnt know what to say, She saw Finn was still wating his scone. She was ready to get out of there and do something else. But what? They couldnt be seen, so Gen sat there sullen trying hard to think of something to say and also something fun to do that was private...

"That's awful," Finn said softly, "She's called me even worse names... I just don't care to repeat them... I've heard she's loony just like her awful father... They are just..." Finn felt his arm twinge, a result of Harshing's jinx. Harshing had made him promise to be nice to Flame, no matter what... He cut Finn to have his blood on a document... It hurt Finn every time he even thought about Flame in an unkind way. He decided to tell the professor about it, "Gen... To tell you the truth, I'm not supposed to do anything to her that might cause us to fight... I was forced to sign a document in blood that said that I would do nothing to harm her in anyway... I think he cursed the scar on my arm," he said pulling it up to show her, "It hurts whenever I think about Flame in a demeaning manner..." He noticed that the professor seemed to be bored. He wasn't quite ready to tell her about his Hogsmeade cottage yet... Maybe she could think of something to do...

Gen was shocked about this scar on Finns arm. She didnt know what to say, She had heard about the previous headmaster, but had never met him. He sounded like a horrible man. "Thats horrible. Im so sorry. Why would he do such a thing to a student?" Gen said in shock. The previous Headmaster cursing people? Thats unheardof.

Gen sipped at her tea somemore. She felt bad for Finn but didnt want to dwell on it. Gen wanted to go somewhere. She didnt know where would be an inconspicuous location. She sat in thought for a moment. "Hey Finn, would you mind if we took a walk?" Gen asked. She knew this pretty spot behind Hogsmeade station, behind the trees, and right on the water. She wanted to be outside, since she loved the outdoors so much, and she knew that place would be perfect.

"He was quite a head case... Nobody is really sure why he did the things he did... Somehow, it made sense in his twisted little head... It scares me to think that people like that actually believe they are sane..." Finn nodded in agreement when she asked to go outside, "That sounds nice," He said, "as long as you're sure it's secluded..." Finn politely drank the remainder of his hot beverage and finished the remainder of his scone. He rose and extended his hand to help her up.

Gen smiled, She liked the fact that Finn was so easy going. He was up for anything, no matter what. Gen took his hand as he stood up before Gen. "Ill lead the way." Gen said smiling. They walked out the door and Gen looked around to make sure no one was around that could see them.

"Lets go." Gen said after it was clear. She didnt see anyone in sight so she slowed her pace and calmed down. She was walking next to Finn, so she decided to grab his hand. She looked at him as she did this and blushed a bit.

They walked for awhile, looking at the shops and such, having a good time. Then they finally got to Hosgmeade station. Gen stopped a good ways before, there was a good possibility that people they knew were there. Gen looked at Finn and said, "its behind Hogsmeade Station. Were going to have to do it quietly." Gen said.

The forecast was for rain that evening, but thankfully, the clouds were melted away by the sun, which shone through. He liked holding hands, but was somewhat concerned they would be seen. He decided to throw caution to the wind and interlaced his fingers with hers. When they reached the station, Finn paused, then smiled discreetly, "You go first," he said, knowing they were less likely to get caught if they went separately, "I'll follow you in a few minutes." He begin to blend in with the smallish crowd and watched Gen disappear across the tracks.

Gen smiled. She started to walk away, and as she was a few feet away, Gen winked at him and headed swiftly, btu discreetly behind the station. She sat and waited for Finn.

OOC: I didn't really leave you much to go on there did I? Sorry... I'll make this post better...

BIC: After reading the sports section of the Daily Prophet Finn found in the recycling, he rose from the bench and crossed the tracks. He felt like a criminal, trying to escape from the police... Realistically, he was a young man in love, trying to escape the societal norms. He could never run fast enough to escape them...

Finn made it across the tracks, just after the 4:30 train left for King's Cross. He saw Gen sitting, "I hope I didn't make you wait very long," he stated grinning, "I think we should be fine back here." The foliage of the backside of Hogsmeade was dense with Yew trees. To his knowledge, people only went camping in the backwoods during the summertime. "I bet that there is hardly anyone back here... The forecast called for rain the entire weekend..."

Gen had been sitting for awhile by herself. She was waitign patiently for Finn to come around the bend. As soon as she thought this to herself, she saw his glowing face come around. She stood up and said, "I like the outdoors and I figured youd like this spot. Its very calm and relaxing. What do you think?" Gen said as she sat back down.

OOC: Congrats on section leader for sax! I was a squad leader and the section leader for the trumpets my senior year! It was a blast!

"Anywhere is beautiful as long as you are there," Finn said, sitting on the grass that grew on the hillside near the trees. Finn put his arm around her and ran his fingers through her hair. "Do you think we will always have to be together in secret?" Finn asked, hoping she wouldn't confirm his deepest fear, "I think that maybe we can start meeting in more and more public places, or detentions or something..." Finn didn't really want a bunch of detentions on his record, but if it meant he would get to see Professor Rasmuse, he would do anything.

Gen blushed "Thank you Finn." She said. She knew that the topic would come up eventually. She felt a cringe of pain in her stomache when Finn asked the question. Gen didnt know how to respond to him. She wanted to be with him in private, but she didnt know what the other teachers would say. "Well, I want to see you in public, but I just dont know how the other teachers would take it. I might get fired. What do you think we should do?" Gen asked. She laid her head on Finns shoulder and sighed. She was a bit sad that such a great gy like Finn had to be a student.

Finn kissed the top of her head. He knew it was a fantasy that they would ever be allowed to be together during the school year. " I guess we can meet during the summer," He said, "We can be together all the time during the summer..." It didn't sound good as it came out of his mouth, "I guess we will just have to be content with Friday dates, won't we?" he sighed, knowing that was the truth. In school, they could never be more than teacher and student, and in public, they had to maintain that relationship.

Gen sighed. She knew it was how it had to be. She lifted her head up from Finns shoulder. She had seomthing on her mind. "Do you think this is going to work Finn? Being together only in private? Do you really like me that much that you'd sacrifice so much to make time to spend with me alone? Let alone wed have to find places to go and such?" Gens head was running wild. She had a million things running through it. She sighed and said a simple statement to sum it all up. "Do you think it will work?"

Did he think it would work? Honestly, he had no idea. "I don't really know," he said after a while, "I'm not really sure... I think that I need more than you can give me right now..." He didn't really want to break up with her, but that was the way it was looking... "I don't want to break up with you," he said, "I still want to be with you... I see myself having a long term future with someone like you... Just..." He didn't know, "Just not for a few years... Until we can be together without having to look over our shoulders, wondering if someone has seen us... Do you know what I mean?"

Gen stood up. She walked to the water where they were sitting and stared. She had been hurt so many times before. She didnt want it to happen again, but of course, theres no way of stopping it. She sighed and turned to Finn. She didnt even want to look at him. SHe wanted to scream. Then why did you want to be with me if I dont have what you need! Gen was screaming from the inside.

She looked at Finn and said, "I know what you mean." She started walking away. She couldnt bare Finn to see her face. She wanted to cry but couldnt. They werent together that long, they werent together technically. Gen hated herself at that moment, just for letting herself get involved with a student. She knew better.

"I'm sorry," he choked out, "I'm sorry I need more than you can give me... I need someone who can be there for me whenever I need them, not just someone who I go clubbing on Fridays with..." Finn was near tears, "I would love to be with you, I just... I don't know..."

Gen turned around. It would have been a lot easier if he had just dropped it but now Gen had to say something. "We can make it work! I dont care what anyone else thinks. I have no problem going out in public with you. But if you dont want to be with me then just say it" Gen said her eyes swelling with tears.

Finn stepped closer to her. "I want to be with you," he said, feeling like she didn't understand, "I care about you at the same time though. I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize your career or your future." He stopped, hoping he was getting through to her. "I don't want anything bad to happen to you... I feel like every thing we do together will be a risk to your future and to mine..." He didn't know what to say. "I think... I think we should try and work this out. I think that we are good together and we could have a future together... If you want that future, we need to see how things will go between us. It doesn't make any sense to make any kind of rash decisions right now..."

Gen sighed. She kenw it was true. "You're right. But what are we going to do?" Gen ahd a million questions and she figured it would be easier if she summed it all up into one. She wanted to know if they were still secretly dating or if it was going to be a fling and hed eventually forget abotu her and her, him. She hoped that he could answer very question on her mind without her asking all fo them.

Finn sighed. "I have no idea..." he said, "I still want to be with you, and presumably, you still want to be with me..." He paused, "So we will be together... Whenever we can... And I will come to your office whenever I can... We have to be discrete about it though... Maybe you can start counseling me about becoming a teacher or something like that?" Finn didn't know if he wanted to be a teacher per se, but career advice would be a logical cover up and something they could use whenever they were seen together, so long as it wasn't inappropriate...

Gen sighed. "Ok. That sounds like a plan. When do you want to stop by next?" Gen said presuming the date was over. She didnt want it to be though,

Finn smiled, seeing that she was in agreement. It was a pretty brilliant plan if he did say so himself. "I will come by your office next week sometime to 'schedule' some counseling to become a teacher. From then on, if we need an excuse, or if someone sees us together, we have an excuse." Finn drew her into an embrace. "Does that sound okay to you?"

Gen was relieved when she saw him smile. She listened to him talk. She loved the plan. When he embraced her, she hugged him so tightly back. She said, "Yes, it all sounds wonderful." Gen said and kissed him on the cheek lightly. "Its too bad we cant stay here and enjoy eachother more." Gen said winking at Finn.

Finn nodded in agreement. "If we don't get back to school soon, I'll miss bed check..." He paused, "And you are the only teacher I've seen around here so... Professor Valdez... He's a smart guy... He is able to put two and two together... I think that at the least, I better get going...." He returned her kiss on the cheek with a soft kiss on the lips. "I'll see you later next week..."

Gen let him go first. She felt his last kiss on her cheek. She knew it would be the last one for awhile. She waved goodbye and smiled to herself. She hoped it all worked out.
