AJ's favourite place in Hogsmeade has always been the Hog's Head. He first went there to hear stories about the famous Harry Potter from Alberforth, but after the interest died he kept going for drinks.

The dusty tables didn't bother him at all. In fact he enjoyed the vintage style of everything in there.

"Firewhiskey," he yelled to the bartender who was nowhere to be found. He looked around, nothing but a bunch of old hairy men passed out and a scattered selection of younger folk. No other Hogwarts students as usual. AJ sat down at a table next to a younger lady.

"Hello," he said.

It had been a long day for Gwen, the sun hadn't set yet but the day had totally been a suckish one. Oh the joys of devoirce. She found her self drinking in the Hogs head, with something much stronger than her usual ice tea.

Looking up when she heard someonesit down at the table and say hello. "Hello." she said to the younger boy with a small smile.

She replied with a hello and AJ finally got his firewhiskey. He took a sip, "Come here often?"

He took another gulp, "Never seen you around much."

He enjoyed making small talk with adults. Much better than the nonsense a lot of first years talk about.

"I just moved back here a few weeks ago, so this is the first time I've come here." She said, " I'm the new medi-witch at the school." yeah that sounded great, the medi-witch getting drunk., she almost laughed at her self. "I'm Gwen." She said extending her hand to shake.

"I'm Andrej. My friends call me AJ, whichever you prefer. Medi-witch? eh?"

He had been to the Hospital Wing plenty of times from when he snuck off into the Forbidden Forest and got attacked. He always had to lie about what had happened. He flew into so many walls during his time at Hogwarts.

"Are you in the Hospital Wing? Maybe I'll come help sometimes," he smiled, "But I won't bring the firewhiskey."

" I guess that's where I'll be, I just started." She smiled when he said he wouldn't bring the whiskey "Well, that might be helpful, I don't think it would be appreciated to much if we were both drunk there. So, Aj. What house are you in?" She asked, finding the small talk a nice change from the slightly aggravated nonsense she had been hearing all day.

"Ravenclaw." He responded. He was pround of being in the 'intellegent' house. "It's lovely in there. People are always relaxing by reading or studying. No nonsense. But people rarely want to have a drink with me. Or go exploring places."

He was starting to grow fond of Miss Ravin. She was a lovely person who didn't treat him like a child. He noticed his firewhiskey was about gone and got up for another one.

"Want another?"

"Ah, so you're one of the smart kids.Good for you." She said, the one thing she liked about being an adult was not being sorted into houses, it offered better chances to meet new people.

"Yes, that would be nice. Thank you." She said when he asked if she wanted another drink and handed him the money from her purse. It was just a little odd to have someone younger than she was paying for her drinks.

He returned with two firewhiskeys and some food for them to split. "Which house were you in?" He asked her.

He could feel himself starting to get a little tipsy, but he knew he would never get too drunk. He felt himself smiling more and more.

"Thank you. Oh, I was in Hufflepuff." She replied, taking her drink and taking a sip. It had only been a few years but everytime she had been asked about it, it seemed like ant eternity ago.

"How has school been going for you this year? "She asked, starting to feel a little tipsy herself.

It's interesting. I have been sort of a lone wolf throughout my days here, but recently I have been making some new friends." He didn't say it but he had been noticing girls more often as well.

"Are you married or anything?"

He hiccuped, "Are you muggleborn? I am!" He had no clue why he stated this, maybe the firewhiskey was going to his head.

"Well, that's good. Friends are very important people to have." She said, she understood what it was like to not really be close to anybody, but she had been meeting other people as well.

"No, I just got devoiced actually." She said gesturing to her drink, that was why she had come here after all.

"I'm half-blood. My mom was a muggle and my dad a wizard."

"You probably deserve better than him anyways!" he said gulping his drink. "You're a lovely person."

He winked at her.

Maybe we should get out of her and go for a walk? It's beautiful out."

He got up, bumping his knee on the table. He held out his arm to help her up.

"Thanks, it's been a while since I've heard that." She took his arm and stood up, a little wobbly on her own feet, her shoes not helping the matter any, so she got her wand, and turned them into flats and making balancing much easier. "Yes. A walk sounds like a wonderful idea!"

They left Hog's Head laughing about some joke AJ said and went through Hogsmeade going to some shops. AJ didn;t feel like a student, but an adult, he enjoyed it. People looking at them wouldn't think he was a student either. He was so large he looked like an early 20 something instead of a 16 year old.

"Now that the term is almost over, what do you plan on doing?"

"Finish moving my things into my apartment and get everything squared away, I guess. I haven't really thought about it until now. " She admitted, she would have to make some kind of plans, going back and forth between here and Spain and having yelling matches with her ex husband didn't seem very fun at all. "Not very exciting I know. What about you?"

He thought about it a moment, "I would love to go back home to Bristol, but I think I am going to stay here...work on Transfiguration." His favourite subject. he pulled out his wand and turned a bench into a tree trying to impress her.

"Let's see if any body notices," he whispered in her ear then proceeded to laugh.

"Where too now?"

She remembered going out with friends and pulling pranks like that, Gwen, having always been quiet, had always just watched, not wanting to be the one who got in trouble, but she still laughed.
"I have no idea where we should go next, you know your way around here better than I do, you say."

"Well," he paused and thought a bit.

"What are you in the mood for? Then I will know where to take you."

He continued to walk slightly tilted to the left. Hogsmeade was beginning to fill with more and more students. He saw some Ravenclaws he knew but ignored them. He was enjoying his time with Gwen.

Well going back for another drink was out of the question, she needed to beable to think somewhat clearly, being compleatly intoxicated never appealed to her all that much anyway. "Well do you want to go get something else to eat?" she asked, watching the students walk by, but didn't pay them too much attention, there were better things to do.

He looked around at the shops. "We could go to Honeydukes, get you something sweet to math your personality."

He smiled at her. "Or we could go to Madam Puddifoot's and get some tea and biscuits. Nice quiet meal?"

Was he flirting with an older woman? His mind was so fuzzy he didn't realize what was happening.

"Let's go to Honeydukes, you can never go wrong with sugar, chocolate is the best thing ever made that you can eat." She said, blushi slightly as the younger boy said she was sweet, was this kid flirting with her? "You're sweet too. A very nice young man."

They made their way to Honeydukes which was swarming with students looking at the amazing sweets. He was beginning to get nervous around so many people. He bumped into so many people because of his size, many other students began staring at him.

He tripped over somebody;s foot and bumped into Gwen. "Sorry!" He yelled over the laughter of students.

They continued walking, having to squeeze together to get around the hoards of students.

:"What's your favourite sweet?"

She shouldn't have been suprised at the amount of students that were there, but she had been gone for a while, and she had forgotten what a popular place this was. "Hm, my faveorite sweet...anything chocolate really...chocolate frog are fun to catch, or chase. Do you ever chase them? What's yours?"

"I love anything." He said making his way to the chocolate frogs.

"Chocolate Frogs work for me. I love them."

He was growing tired of all of the students, they got a lot of frogs and some other sweets. They went outside, the sun was beginning to set.

He opened a sweet and began to eat it.

"This is tastey, have a bite." He put the pick sweet towards her mouth. "Go on, try it."

"Mmmm, that is good." she said taking a bite , not really botherint to look at what he had handed her, but it tasted great.. She took a frog from the mix of treats, hand cupped over the opening so when it jumped she'd catch it.. "They're so much like a real frog, it's hard to eat them sometimes." she said as she popped it in her mouth.

The day was turning into a great day for AJ. He went to Hog's Head to relax and get a drink and wound up meeting a wonderful person. They continued to talk about things for quite a while watching the sunset on a bench in Hogsmeade. It was rather enjoyable.

Students looked at them as they headed back into the schools ground, but AJ didn't budge. We was too busy enjoying his time with Gwen. The night was getting colder, he shivered a bit and noticed she did as well. He scooted closer to her.

"Nice night, eh?"

"Yeah, tonight has been a great night." she said. "Much better than how the day started. Thank you." She took another of the sweets and ate it. "It's starting to get cold, we should turn in for the night."

He was reluctant to agree, but didn't want detention. He had such a great time with Gwen.

"Yes, it's about that time to leave."

They stood up and he didn't know what to do.

"I hope to see you around. Maybe soon at the Hog's Head, I'll look there every now and then."

He turned and left, he couldn't wait for them to meet again.
