Title: History of Magic, Lesson 2

Aria Casanov - June 8, 2008 06:42 AM (GMT)
Aria entered the classroom, ten minutes before it was to begin, and looked around. Everything was in place, clean and ready. She flicked her wand at the board and the following words appeared:

History of Magic
Lesson 2.
Please take your seats quietly and wait for class to begin. Today we'll be discussing the Voldemort years, begining with the First War.

She had decided that this would make for an interesting couple of lessons, and it would be something most students knew about. She took her seat at her desk and waited for the class to arrive.

Robyn Singe - June 8, 2008 12:20 PM (GMT)
Robyn came in, on time. She held a thin piece of parchment. She gave it to Professor Aria. "Ravyn's sick. Can't make it today." She simply said. She sat down in a desk and fiddled with her neckalace. It seemed that she was the first one in. Robyn pulled out her notebook and doodled. She carefully wrote her name in a beautiful way in the center, although, she didn't even notice it. She wasn't even looking at it.

Valentina Greysoul - June 8, 2008 01:00 PM (GMT)
Valentina sat down in an empty desk. she didn't feel like talking to anyone today. just to listen to the teacher.

She saw Robyn a few seets away doodling on the parchment and fidling with her necklace.

she copyed her, only for the fidling with her necklace.

she started to wonder, why did she have that snake necklace anyway?

she took out her parchment, black ink and swan feather quill before turning to look back at her professor.

Rebecca Emery - June 8, 2008 07:21 PM (GMT)
Rebecca strode into the History of Magic classroom her mood more unhappy then bubbly. A new one for her. Even so she knew her mood was caused by the class she was about to sit in for the next few hours. Sure she'd gotten a pretty darn good grade for the homework last class and she actually knew something last class, but that didn't change her mood.

Sighing quietly at her thoughts Rebecca made her way farther into the room noticing she along with two other students were the only one's present, unless you counted the professor. Turing her blue eyes to take in the two students she noticed Valentina and smiled at the girl in hello. After last class she knew she probably wouldn't speak until spoken to.

Shaking her thoughts away she made her way to the middle of the room and slid into one of the seats. Glancing up at the board she frowned slightly at what they were going to learn. The Voldemort years. Rebecca knew this was probably going to take up quite a few classes. Knowing this she heaved another sigh and took out her things from her bag and set them in front of her. At least I know a lot about this, she thought to herself luckily as she waited for the rest of the class to arrive.

Fawne Sugarmoon - June 8, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
Fawne knew now that this lesson was her strictest, and so she had gone to the extra effort to be on time. She didn't want scolding for being late after being told of for talking the first time. With a silent sigh she pushed open the door to the classroom, having only just arrived. Her progress through the room was silent and she sat in the same seat as the first lesson.

It wasn't that she found this lesson boring it was just that her mind easily wandered and with no one to talk to it had more to think about. With a quick few movements a sheet of clean parchment and a blood red quill were set on the desk, silver ink in place of black. If she was going to take notes in this lesson she would have to decorate them accordingly.

Once she was happy she was ready for the start of the lesson she trained her eyes on the bored, looking at the lesson topic with her usual misty eyes. Her mind already running through what she knew about voldemort and the first war.

Aria Casanov - June 16, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
Aria looked around the classroom, taking in the students present. It seems I scared some away...she thought.

She glanced at her watch. Only a few minutes til class began/

Calum Ferguson - June 17, 2008 12:09 PM (GMT)
Calum walked into class in a foul mood. History of Magic wasn't on his list of favourite subjects, but he just had to do it. It can be fascinating at times, but mostly it's too boring.

He looked at the board, hoping they'd do something interesting like Voldemort and was delighted when he read the writing.
This is going to be interesting, he thought hopefully.

He smiled at Valentina and sat down, getting out a roll of parchment, his normal plain quill and a bottle plain black ink.

Valentina Greysoul - June 17, 2008 12:15 PM (GMT)
Valentina looked startled when she heard the chair next to her move.
She looked up with an annoyed expression, but was delighted to see her Ravenclaw friend.

"Calum!" she gasped, blushing a little.
She moved over for showing that he was most welcome.

She ripped an edge of her parchment quietly, so the teacher wouldn't notice and she wouldn't disturb class, and wrote.
Going anywhere special for the summer holidays?

Calum Ferguson - June 17, 2008 12:30 PM (GMT)
Calum turned around at the sound of his name tosee Valentina moving over to him. She ripped the edge of her parchment and wrote:
Going anywhere special for the summer holidays?

He smiled and ripped a piece of his own parchment, writing:
I guess I'm going home and seeing my mum again. What about you?

Valentina Greysoul - June 17, 2008 12:37 PM (GMT)
Valentina smiled and turned her ripped parchment and wrote:

That's cool! i'm going to France and then in Italy. I heard that there are some of the most important schools there: Beauxbattons and Incantesiastra... so wicked!

she tore off some more, since it wouldn't fit.

...maybe we could meet up! what do you think about it?

Calum Ferguson - June 17, 2008 12:46 PM (GMT)
He wrote again:

I'll see to it. Sounds fantastic! =D

Valentina Greysoul - June 17, 2008 01:03 PM (GMT)
Valentina smiled at his message.

I really hope so! There are also many Magical Creature's Care there... i'll send you a postcard! Or maybe you could

she stopped to think. Maybe Calum's parents would let him come with Valentina's family, they would pay for the transport... but it was a weak chance.

Valentina pulled a line over her last phrase and rewrote:

Would you like to come too? Maybe your parents could let you... Would it be ok with you?

She passed him the message and crossed her fingers under the table.

Calum Ferguson - June 18, 2008 12:40 PM (GMT)
Calum grinned.

Yes, I'll definitely send you a postcard.

Then looked at her latest message.

Would you like to come too? Maybe your parents could let you... Would it be ok with you?

Yes, I think my mum will totally agree that I need a time to chill out with my friends.

Valentina Greysoul - June 18, 2008 07:19 PM (GMT)
Valentina didn't notice Calum's reaction.

Thanks!
That's so cool! Your mum sounds great! My parents wouldn't mind paying your spree!

Valentina passed the new messege.
Her mind started traveling in a day dream, where she could see her and Calum taking pictures of muggle buildings and visiting the poshest italian magical school....

((OOC: we should actually make a thread about our holidays! What do you think about it?))

Calum Ferguson - June 19, 2008 11:32 AM (GMT)
((OOC: great idea))

That's alright, I'll pay my own. This is going to be exotic.

He scribbled, also thinking of the magnificent building there would be. He had never been anywhere out of the U.K.

Valentina Greysoul - June 19, 2008 12:56 PM (GMT)
((OOC: perfect! Shall i start it? and in which forum shall i put it?"

Valentina looked up at him and gave him a warm smile.
She was about to tell him something, but the teacher was looking that way, so she thought better of it.

do you have any muggle money? I cant remember what those eastern things are called... Menues... Ueors... Reuros...

Calum Ferguson - June 20, 2008 11:04 AM (GMT)
((OOC: hmm.. maybe in Everywhere else, or Student residences.. And, is it euros or dollars? I'm in Australia, so it's dollars for me.))

I think it was euros or dollars. I learnt it in Muggle Studies.

He wrote, smiling at the message she had written.

Valentina Greysoul - June 20, 2008 04:25 PM (GMT)
((OOC: euros for me... I live in Italy, so it would be easier for me to write and describe it... Wow, Australia! How's it like there? where do you live?))

Valentina smiled back as she read the message he had just written back. She obviously didn't take muggle studies too seriously, and she found muggle objects pretty boring.

Euros! exactly! I always forget the proper names...

she pushed the note over to his desk and waited. She knew only one italian wizarding family, but none french.

Calum Ferguson - June 21, 2008 03:19 AM (GMT)
((OOC: Where I live?! Surely, I can't tell you that!.... ... But Australia's cool, except it's cold here, now. Though, it's not snowing.. It never really does.. It hailed once, but that's all... What about Italy, it must be cool to see al those popular monuments.))

Muggle studies is pretty cool. My dad was a muggle, but died when I was five, I have a wizard father now. He used to show me all sorts of interesting things.

He scribbled and passed over.

Aria Casanov - June 21, 2008 01:02 PM (GMT)
Aria glanced around, her blue-grey eyes growing angry. All of the students who had signed the register had been noted and when she saw them she would give them hell for skipping her class.

It was time for the lesson to begin. She really hoped no tardy students would arrive, not when she was in such a foul mood.

"Alright students, silence, all talking and note passing will now cease. Your books should be on your table- open them to page 213."

"For the next several lessons we will be discussing the Voldemort years," she said, stating the name as she would say any other.
"We will begin today with the First War. Can anyone tell me anything about the first war?"

She looked around expectantly.

Lily-Ann Pace - June 23, 2008 12:46 PM (GMT)
"Awww shoot shoot shoot! Stupid stairs they hate me...." Lily-Ann said as she ran to the classroom. She knew if she was late she would be dead. And Lily-Ann didn't want to be dead, she actually enjoyed this class.
Lily-Ann skidded to a stop but too late, she hit her head on the door. "Ow..." She said as she opened the door rubbing her head with her hand very lightly.
"I'm late aren't I?" Lily-Ann asked but by the look on the teachers face, she was late. Lily-Ann took a seat in the back, closest to the door. "I'm sorry! The stairs changed when I was on my way here so I got lost. So I found my way back about twenty or so minutes later and then I ran to this classroom and hit my head on your door." Lily-Ann sighed, "I'm so so sorry!" She said again, she hated being late.

Aria Casanov - June 23, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
Aria looked at the girl who had just run in late. A Slytherin. She was partial to Slytherins, having been one herself, although part of the NDE plans were to discipline students, especially pure-bloods, and ready them. She wasn't sure if this girl was a pure-blood...

"You are late Miss. Pace," she replied to the girl's excuses. "You will report to detention after class in my office. (the new ones). Do not let it happen again."

She wouldn't make her do anything hard though, like the two Singe girls. After all, they were Slytherins.

She turned back at the class. "So, no one knows nothing about the First War then?"

Robyn Singe - June 24, 2008 12:39 PM (GMT)
Lily-Ann shrugged, detention. It wouldn't kill her. Lily-Ann knew all about the first war, or any war wit the dark lord in it. Her parents not only worked for him, but they worked for the new deat eaters clan... they wanted her to join but she was putting it off till she was older, but either way, Lily-Ann would not join.

OOC: I jut reaized I forgot to log out of Robyn's account. SORRY!

Melanie Carter - July 5, 2008 07:49 AM (GMT)
Melanie skidded into the class behind some other girl from Slytherin who was late.
"I'm so sorry miss! I was right behind this girl here. I got caught on the staircase and then I had to wait while she regained from her head bang miss!"
Melanie went down and sat next to the girl who was in front of her.
"Sorry about that," she whispered.

Vero Watson - July 10, 2008 03:52 PM (GMT)
Vero quickly ran down the stairs has they started to change, Vero glanced back at the other to girls has she rounded a corner.

'Their going to be late and so am i, i am so dead.' Vero bemoaned to herself has she nearly ran over another student.

"Sorry." Vero shouted as she raced down the hallway. Vero skidded to a halt in front of history of magic and took a deep breath before entering. As vero opened the door she started apologizing immediately.

"I'm so sorry professor the stairs change and i had to take the long way around." Vero said has she found a sit beside one of the girls that was on the stairs.
'how did they get here before?' Vero thought has she pulled out her quill, parchment and book.

Xander Hayes - July 11, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
Xander could not believe it. He overslept. He was rushing down the halls mentally berating himself for being so stupid as to oversleep. He came to a halt in front of the door and quickly composed himself before stepping into the room. "Sorry professor, I overslept." he knew it was a lame excuse, but it was the truth. He went and sat down in the closest empty seat.

Saphira Adair - July 21, 2008 02:44 AM (GMT)
Saphira thought I’m so Late as she ran down the corridor she had taken a wrong turn down one of the staircases. When she got the History of Magic classroom Saphira found an empty desk in the middle row. “Sorry I’m late Professor” replied Saphira breathlessly. Then she took out ink, quills and parchment while she was copying down the topic on the blackboard Professor Casanov was teaching the students about the First War.

Aria Casanov - July 29, 2008 04:08 PM (GMT)
Aria lost it. All of these late students, some not on the register, other hadn't turned in their homework, and none of them could answer a simple question!?

A lamp behind her exploded into a shower of glass, as the fury became evident in her eyes. She wanted to murder them all on the spot. Instead she took a deep breath, and said in a voice of controlled calm, "Get. Out. All of you, get out. You will turn in a paragraph essay on what you know about the First War, due before the next class, which will be on Friday. There is no point in giving detention to all of you who arrived late.

ALL of you will arrive on time and prepared on Friday," she continued. "Now leave."

Valentina Greysoul - July 29, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
Valentina gulped as all the late students arrived.
But she was shocked when the professor mentally broke a glass behind her. She yelped in horror, looking at the professor with an expression of pure desbelief.

She wanted to say something, but she decided against it. It wasn't the right time.
She got her bag and put all her material inside it, getting up hastily.
"Calum, come on!" she hissed, eager to get out.

She smiled nervously at the professor, even though she was sure her shocked expression gave her away.

Vero Watson - July 30, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Vero stopped abruptly and duck, she was still passing the teacher desk when the lamp exploded. Vero quickly picked herself up off the floor and got out of the classroom as quickly as possible.

Saphira Adair - July 31, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Saphira saw the lamp shatter and ducked under her desk. When she look up and saw the students leaving she followed. But stop at the door and decided to go to the library after lunch to look up information on the first war.
