Veronica pushed her hair from her eyes, while her feet echoed through the empty corridor. She was feeling happy, after just finishing her book - A Tale Of Two Loves. Maybe she will find her price. Just maybe. Suddenly, she wasn't alone in the corridor.

April swept down the corrider, eyes wandering from place to place. She wasn't alone; there was a younger girl halfway down the hallway, looking around. She was walking towards her, away from where April was headed.

April headed down the hallway, and the girl seemed to step in her way. Thier shoulders bumped viciously and April looked at the girl angrily. she hated being pushed in the hallway, especially by Gryffindors.

"Watch where you're going," she snarled.

Veronica was used to Slytherin's being rude... but not that rude. "Urm... excuse me?," she said with a hint of attitude and agression. Then, she realized who the voice belonged to... April Teagan. Veronica rolled her eyes.

April shot the girl a narrow look, and then realized who she was looking at. Veronica Newbury. 4th year Gryffindor. She couldn't remember why the girl's name rang a bell, but she knew it for somewhere. However, her brain was telling her that she didn't like her, so she went with it.

"You're excused," she snapped. "Maybe if you opened up your eyes, you'd be able to see when it's time to get your fat arse out of the way."

AJ was walking down the halls reading his book as usual when he noticed April and some Gryffindor arguing.

"Whoa, what's going on here?" He asked stepping between the two in case they decided to draw wands.

April stared from AJ to Veronica, and then back to AJ. She hadn't drawn her wand yet, which was good, because she didn't want AJ to think she had jumped down someone's throat. She tried to calm down.

She struggled for the words.

"Veronica here," she nodded towards the girl,"bumped into me. Should watch where she's going, that's all."

He had his hand on his wand which was in his cloak pocket.

"Well..." trying to choose his words wisely. "Maybe you weren't looking either? I mean I nearly tripped over a first year Hufflepuff going into Charms the other day. We all make mistakes."

As he said this he had realized he should have probably taken April's side, but didn't know how to react around her after their escapades in the Room of Requirement.

"Hi," he said turning to the other girl, "I'm Andrej, or AJ. Sixth year Ravenclaw."

Veronica was in a state of shock. AJ was talking to her. The guy she's been crushing on a while took her side, and was talking to her. "Urm... urm... I'm Veronica," she finally managed to stammer, with a red flsuh all over her face.

He didn't know what they were fighting about but figured he didn't care.

"Hi, I'm Andrej, but my friends call me AJ." he said extending his hand.

"Is everything all right?" he said, picking up parchment he dropped as he stepped between the two fighting girls. He looked at both of them who were staring at each other with anger. He had never seen Veronica up close, even angry she was attractive. As was April.

Veronica flashed a angry glare at April. "Well, yea... everything's fine...," Veronica started. "I was just being the usual klutz I always am...," she smiled as she finished her sentence.

AJ was still feeling awkward around April and didn't really know how to act.

"April, tomorrow morning meet me outside of the forest (I have a post started Deeper in the Forest). Maybe Veronica, want to get some pumpkin juice in the great hall?"

April shot him a look. AJ was clueless.

Veronica tried to act cool. But, really, how could she?! A cute sixth grader asked if she wanted to get some pumpkin juice... of course she did! "Okay, Great AJ..." Veronica said confidently while her peircing eyes laid on April and a smirk formed on her face.

"I'm going to run up to my common room, drop off some stuff and pick up my book." he told her. He exchanged an awkward hug with April and jetted off.

"Oh," he yelled back, "Meet me in the Great Hall." He saw April, she wasn't too happy, "And tomorrow April" He smiled at her.

OOC: start a thread in the great hall named Pumpkin Juice or something. :)
