The wether today was perfect, the sun was shining, but it wasn't too hot or too cold and the wind was blowing just a little bit, yes to day was perfect, but John was bored out of his mind. He had thought that walking around and feeling the sun on his skin might take some of the boredom away, but it had done just the opposite, now he was even more bored than when he had come out here. With a sigh, he sat cross-legged by a tree and looked up at the sky.

AJ was out walking, like he normally did when he wasn't reading, or exploring. He was out looking for a pair of dress shoes he left. He thought he left them by the lake, but upon looking there decided he would never find them and went walking hoping to stumble across them.

He noticed a Hufflepuff sitting under a tree looking at the sky.

"Hey mate, notice a pair of black shoes anywhere? I misplaced my favourite pair."

It's true, he had a pair to wear to potions, he hated spilling on his good shoes.

"No...Sorry I haven't." He said looking back down when he heard someone ask if he had seen some shoes, he thought for a moment, no he was sure he hadn't seen any shoes laying around other than in the dorms. "But I really wasn't looking for any either. Do you want help looking for them?" he asked, it may sound dumb, but at least it would give him something to do.

He laughed not expecting him to offer help. He decided he might as well let him.

"Yeah, sure. I'm Andrej, sixth year Ravenclaw. How about you?"

He had never seen the boy before, but then again he never paid much attention to other students before.

"Johnathan, sixth year Hufflepuff.It's nice to meet you." He said with a smile standing up and offering a hand for him to shake. He took his laugh as one of suprise , but that was John, and he had always been one to offer help, no matter how odd the task."So where exactly do you think you lost your shoes, and what do they look like?"

He described his shoes, "Shiney, black, you know. Like these," he held out one of his feet, "But not as dirty." There was a green goop on the shoe.

"Thought it was by the lake, I go swmming often, but they weren't at my usualy diving place."

He was waiting for John to say something about how crazy he was, but didnt.

"Maybe they're by the Quidditch Pitch. Fell off while flying maybe?"

"Maybe, are you sure no one made off with them while you were diving?" He asked, he had lost many various pieces of clothing that way, friends deciding to run off with clothes and making him chase after them was nothing new to him. "When did you loose them?"

It was possible that someone had taken them. A lot of people have started to think AJ was a horrible person. Many thought he was only into appearence by changing shoes for classes.

He thought of people who did not like him as much as others. He laughed, "Perhaps it was Robyn, the Slytherin girl."

He thought harder. "I took them off in the forest as well. But I thought I had put them back on."

"Sorry I don't think I know her...No offense, but how do you not notice that you don't have shoes on when you are walking around or whatever outside?" He asked, a little confused as to how exactly he had lost his shoes outside, sure he would take off his shoes, but he u remembered where he took them off at and the fact that they were no longer on.

"I haven't been paying attention recently. A lot going on, with NEWTs and all. I'm sure they will turn up."

He would use Accio, but was never good at that spell. He preferred Transfiguration. He then remembered John was in 6th year as well.

"How are your NEWTs going?"

"Yeah, eventually almost everything turns up again. " Hesaid with a shrug. "Oh, NEWTS are going alright I guess, but I just want them to be over really, too stressful.I'm not looking forward to seeing how I did with charms, I'm aweful with them. What about yours?"

He felt he was doing well, but didn't enjoy telling others who thought they did poorly.

"Oh, I'm sure we'll both do well. You never know."

He stood up and streched a bit. "I've been tired lately. Not been getting much sleep. Have you? Damned NEWTs."

"No, not really. I took a nap in the hall the other day, but it wasn't the best idea, at least not when lunch is getting out." he said with a chuckle, remembering being woken up by many people going back to where ever they were going, and trying to get out of their way. "So are you excited for school to let out for the summer?"

"Yes, I can't wait. But I hope I'm chosen as the Ravenclaw Tournament participant. Are you entered? It's going to be super fun."

Ever since April had told him about it, it was one of the few things AJ could think about.

"No, I'm not too big when it comes to competing, but I think it would be fun to watch. I hope you do well." He said, he had heard about the tournament but like most things, John didn't really see the point of competing, it was much better to just have fun.

"I hope its exciting and not boring due to the death of that Hufflepuff, Digory, last time."

AJ loved adventure and was often found exploring dangerous areas of Hogwarts and the grounds around it.

"Do you know what Hufflepuffs put there name in?"

He asked, looking to learn about the potential competition.

"No, I haven't really been keeping track of what's been going on with it latly. But we aren't as boring as everyone says, so someone's gotta enter it." Maybe he would look into it more and put his name in, although most Hufflepuffs tended to be more on the mellow side, the want for fun and adventure was still there, it just wasn't as out in the open.

"You should enter. The more people who enter, the better chance the Cup with pick the best people, not just those who entered."

He had hoped that no other Ravenclaws would enter so he was the only choice, but had realized people entered before him.

"What else do you enjoy doing?"

"Running, reading, climbing swimming, just the normal stuff I guess. I know I said Hufflepuffs are intresting, but I'm not really the best example of that." He admitted with a smile, ok so most the boys he shared a dorm with weren't either, but they weren't boring. "What about you? What do you like to do?" He asked.

"I enjoy Transfiguration, exploring all over, wand dueling, muggle sports, going to Hog's Head. The usual. School is very important to me as well. I suppose I'm typical."

Andrej loved getting into 'trouble' by going deep into the Forbidden Forest, or swimming in the lake.

"Go down to the dungeons ever?"

"Yeah, a few times, but not recently. Why?" he asked finding it a slightly strange question to ask someone. The first time he had gone down there he had gotten lost beyond all hope of figuring out where he had taken the rong turn...or maybe it had been more than one and then it had usualy been just wandering around and ending up in there after that.

"It's just a good place to explore."

He said getting up.

"I think I'm going to head back to the castle. You should come with me and some friends tomorrow to explore the woods at dawn."
