Title: Upside Down Edgar Allen Poe
Description: AJ!

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 03:56 PM (GMT)
Robyn didn't read much. But Tristan had sent her a book and demanded she read it. He said it was kinda creepy, but that she would like it. So there Robyn was in a comfy chair in what seemed to be a not so comfy position. Robyn was upside down, her head was dangling from the seat and her chairs hung over the back of the chair. She was in her jeans and a simple t-shirt. She herself looked as if she didn't belong. She only had her nose piercing and lip ring in but she also had her rainbow ribbons tied to her French braids, loud bracelets and a pair of skater shoes. If you came up and turned your head upside down you would see she was reading "The Tell-Tale Heart and other Stories by Edgar Allen Poe." Robyn sighed as she read and carefully turned the page, muttering, "Poor Cat."

OOC: The Black Cat, by Edgar has where he gorged the cat’s eye out. I got kinda sick when I read that part...

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
Andrej was walking to the library to read, what else, his copy of Transfiguration Today. It was his goal to be the best Transfiguration student ever. He, unlike other students, always wore his Hogwarts attire, he preferred it for some reason. His black pants looked in pristine condition compared to his back up pair of dress shoes with essence of green potion on it. He had recently lost his good pair.

As he entered the library his nose was buried in his book. He noticed Robyn, a Slytherin who was friends with April. He noticed she was reading Poe, he had to read him during his years at muggle school.

"Boo!" he half yelled half whispered as he sa next to her.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 04:14 PM (GMT)
Robyn jumped, and fell, and hit her head. She sat up, “Ow! What’d you do that for!?” Robyn hissed turning in his direction. She didn’t really like Andrej much, mostly because of the rumors she’d heard about April and him. That AND he kept staring at her in classes and that bothered Robyn too. She didn’t trust Andrej.
Seeing as all Robyn could currently see of him were his feet, Robyn commented, “Nice shoes Andrej.” Knowing he was all about appearance. She got up and sat back down on her chair. She looked back at her book, determined not to be nosey. Although she really wanted to say, “Did you hear the rumors? Two students like, where sleeping together in the Forest!” But Robyn decided against it. She knew that the real rumor had names to it, and Robyn, for the moment, was refusing to believe it.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
He had realized that the rumours were spreading faster than he expected them to. AJ had feelings for April, even if he had only met her when they did what they did.

"Not the forest...in the Room of Requirements." He felt a little embarrased. Up until a few months ago he would never have talked to half of the people he talks to now. All he cared about was sports and his studies.

"I uh- listen, I know that people think I am some sort of womanizer, or what have you. But really I'm not. I feel bad about the rumours and everything. I should have taken control. But no one has ever really shown me that sort of affection before."

AJ never had many friends. Many other students were afraid of his size, thinking he would crush them if they made him angry.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
Robyn raised her eyebrows, but was still looking at her book ,”I never mentioned it was YOU Andrej. I just said that it was two STUDENTS. No names.” Robyn continued to look at her book. She was afraid the rumors HAD been true. But they used two names, April and Veronica. Robyn was close friends with them BOTH so she was quite curious now as to which one it was.
“Andrej, I never CALLED you a womanizer. I never said it was YOU in the first place. And really Andrej,” She finally did look at him, “Not EVERYONE is scared of your size, myself being one of those people who don’t care what size you are.” Robyn looked back to her book. She still wondered who he WAS with. “But had I of said your name,” She added, “Who would the other person be?” Robyn asked, raising her eyebrows curiously, but kept looking at her book.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 04:34 PM (GMT)
AJ realized he didn't choose his words carefully enough. He was growing nervous. "Er..,forget it. Nothing happened. I must be sniffing floo powder." He tried to cover his tracks. He didn't mean to hurt anyone or make anyone mad.

"So uh, how's classes?" he asked trying to change the subject.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
Robyn smirked, "Nuh-uh I don't think so. No subject change till you answer my question. Nothing happened, right. Well you see, I have this really hard time believing that, ‘cause during classes you bat your eyes at April. In the hallway earlier April and Veronica where having a FIGHT because of…let me thing… oh I know! YOU!” Robyn rolled her eyes, “I may not seem like I do, but I pay TONS of attention to these things.” Robyn looked at him with her pretty blue eyes, “Look, I don’t care if you slept with either of them. But if you hurt them I swear, you’ll be in so much pain you’ll WISH you were dead.” Robyn told him, her voice ice cold. She then added, “And classes have been good. Only got one detention.” Her voice was back to its happy self.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 04:45 PM (GMT)
"I noticed the fight. I stepped in between them. I didn't know what it was about." He thought back to what they were saying.

"And I won't hurt April. In fact I want to take things slow and try and fix any damage I did to her good name. I know she is a lovely person."

He really didn't want to hurt her, but was so awkward when it came to relationships he had no clue what to do next.

He figured to try and go off of her detention comment. "Only one. Suprising for a Slytherin...only kidding of course."

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
“Well,” Robyn paused, “Now you do.” Robyn put down the book and pulled out her notebook and her silver pen. She opened her book and glanced at a song she’d just finish
OOC: Yes. I stole the song from Anna Nalick. BWUAH.
IC:

"Wreck Of The Day"

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And the light's always red in the rear-view
Desperately close to a coffin of hope
I'd cheat destiny just to be near you
If this is giving up, then I'm giving up
If this is giving up, then I'm giving up, giving up
On love, On love

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And I'm thinking 'bout calling on Jesus
'Cause love doesn't hurt so I know I'm not falling in love
I'm just falling to pieces

And if this is giving up then I'm giving up
If this is giving up then I'm giving up, giving up
On love, On love

And maybe I'm not up for being a victim of love
When all my resistance will never be distance enough

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And it's finally quiet in my head
Driving alone, finally on my way home to the comfort of my bed
And if this is giving up, then I'm giving up
If this is giving up, then I'm giving up, giving up
On love, On love

Robyn sighed and tapped the notebook.
“So it was April. Your really bad at this, you should watch your words better Andrej, seriously. I just got out of you that You DID sleep with April in the… room of requirement wasn’t it? No it was the forest, right?” Robyn shrugged.
She then added, "And don't judge me by my house. I don't believe in the houses. AND it was for being late."

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
"Obviously I have no problem with people in your house. Sorry for the comment. I always get detetion though. The nurse always figures out that I had been in the forset. Says thats the only way I can get the injuries I get."

He turned to read his book, he was tired of all of the drama that what he had done with April had caused. He was beginning to wish nothing had happened.

"So how do you like Poe?" he asked looking over his shoulder.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 05:06 PM (GMT)
“Obviously.” Robyn nodded grinning, “The forest isn’t really scary or anything. Good place to write songs.” Robyn pointed to the notebook. She turned the page and carefully wrote the first bit of a song,

On the ground
With my world
Upside down
I got a vision of your face
And I must get me out
For so many memories we've yet to make
God don't send to me your angels
I just wanna hear you say again

Robyn looked up when he asked her a question, “Sorta. My friend from New York told me I’d like it and that he’d beat me up if I didn’t read it.” Robyn own hand with the thought of Tristan made it touch the necklace carefully and wrap her finger in the chain. “He’s really sweet though, so I doubt he would do that.” Robyn added.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 05:14 PM (GMT)
"Ah, Poe is good. I enjoy some of his work. But then again I read almost anything."

He was glad they were talking about something new. AJ started to read his book again, leaning back in his chair. He yawned a bit.

"Have you been enjoying Hogsmeade. It's the first year you can visit right?"

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
"Kind of creepy. And I didn't like what he did with the cat in the 'Black Cat' it was sad." Robyn shrugged. She carefully wrote the next words to her song.

Chorus:
Forever love
Say you'll love
Digame, Digame
Tell me so
I can hold you in my soul
If I go
I'll know

She stopped at the hogsmeade subject. "Yes. I have. But... I've been there plenty of other times too. I dunno if this is the first year or not. I just went when I had them time." Robyn shrugged.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
"Oh, it used to be third year was the first year students were allowed to go. Maybe it has changed."

He remembers his first visit. He loved it and has always enjoyed going to Hog's Head over Three Broomsticks.

"Where do you enjoy going the most? I love the Hog's Head."

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 05:28 PM (GMT)
Robyn shook her head, "No. I don't think it changed. I just went, 'cause nobody noticed me and I got away with it easily. " Robyn thought about last year and how she had been pretty Anti-Social. Well, at least she grew up over the summer.
"Umm... I dunno. I like the Three Broomsticks. But... I really don't shop at any of the stores." Robyn shrugged. She glanced at the paper and sighed. Now she was really stuck on the song. She whispered the words, mostly to herself but Andrej would've heard it anyway.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
He could barely hear her but got that she didn't really like Hogsmeade.

"Spend a lot of time in the Library then? Never see you hear, but maybe I don't pay much attention to people. It's been known to happen."

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
“Not really. Mostly outside or up in a tower. I like heights. Get it, Robyn, a bird? My mom had this weird obsession with birds when my twin and I were born.” Robyn shrugged she looked back to her paper thoughtfully. “I don’t read very much. Just… not really something I enjoy...” Robyn looked back to her paper. She bit on the tip of her pen and sighed. She undid her braids and ran her fingers through her hair. “You know anything about writing songs?” She asked, sounding slightly frustrated.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
Writing songs?

"No, no. I'm more into sports. Songs are nice, but not for me. Maybe I can help though?" He asked hopelessly.

He was starting to enjoy his time with Robyn now that he wasn't being interrogated.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
Sports. Robyn sighed; her father thought most sports were idiotic, so she wasn’t allowed to play any. Not even Quidditch and she really wanted to play it.
“Hmm… my father says most sports are pointless. I’m not allowed to play any.” Robyn explained and stared at her song. She sang the bit she already had, her beautiful voice not even needing instruments to make it sound any better. “I think I can figure it out...”

OOC: Actual Song she’s writing.
Forever Love (Digame)
you can hear it here.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
He didn't know much about music, but her voice was lovely. He decided to bring up Veronica.

"So, I had Pumpkin with Veronica recently, and I just wanted to know why she was fighting or whatever with April. I don't get it. They're both awesome."

He was confused.

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
Robyn laughed. She just laughed. Mostly at his confusion.
“We aren’t THAT complicated!” Robyn told him, smiling. “Okay, so you sleep with April, most of the school found out, Veronica found out. Veronica occasionally is staring at you in class, at lunch, wherever. So OBVIOUSLY they BOTH like you. So Veronica is gonna fight for you, ‘cause it’s instinct, and April’s gonna fight back. And you’ll be stuck right in the middle still CONFUSED. Make sense now?” Robyn laughed again. It seemed so obvious, at least obvious for a BOY to understand it.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
Andrej felt like an idiot.

"Oh..." remembering his conversation with Veronica it made sense now.

"But I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. I just want to be friends with all, enemies to none. And I definatly do not want to be stuck in the middle of anything."

He was scratching his head, "Boy I need to talk to April."

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
Robyn sighed, “You don’t know how deep you’ll get when you get into a relationship with someone. People get hurt, it just… happens. And enemies to none? Won’t happen. Not gonna happen. Ever. And you definitely PUT yourself in the middle. I mean WALKED right in!” Robyn shrugged, “I know I’m not helping much. I just… know how much it hurts to get your heart broken and get into crap like that. Oh, and April will tell you NOTHING was going on. That they just bumped into each other, that’s all. Nice and innocent, because she doesn’t want you in the middle either.” Robyn paused, “But you’ll have to pick a side soon enough.” Robyn glanced at her notebook and closed it, and put it away including her pen.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
"I know I'll have enemies..." he said, regretting the statement.

"And I know I shouldn't have rushed into things with April before thinking. I kind of regret that now. I may have ruined a good relationship me and her could have had."

He frowned a bit.

"You know?"

Robyn Singe - June 9, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
Robyn thought a moment, “Tell you what, I don’t think you ruined ANYTHING. I really think she likes you, despite what I think… no offense on that sorry, and I think you probably SHOULD have waited a bit. But, I think you’ll be okay. You won’t see her around much this summer, she’s traveling with me though.” Robyn sighed at what he added.
“Andrej, I know more than anyone would think I do. For a fourteen year old, I’ve been through so much it isn’t funny.” Robyn told him seriously, she crossed her legs and put her elbows on her knees, and her chin in her hands.

AJ Vitcav - June 9, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
Maybe he didn't ruin anything and was hoping he did as an easy way out.

"You're probably right." Again wanting to change the subject brough up something else.

"You should join me and some people, probably April too, tomorrow morning. We're going into the woods to explore deeper than I ever have. Should be exiting."

Robyn Singe - June 10, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
Robyn shook her head, “I think I’ve had enough excitement for the week. Sorry.” Robyn shrugged, “And I’ve got classes and then homework.” Robyn stretched her arms, and yawned. “So Andrej, hows classes and stuff been for you?” She asked, conversationally.

AJ Vitcav - June 10, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
"Good. NEWT levels you know. Rather hard. But managable."

He noticed her yawn.

"Perhaps you should go to bed eh? Sleeping is the best."

He didn't want to force her to stay around.

Robyn Singe - June 10, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Robyn laughed, “I just want to pass so I don’t have to deal with my father when I get home.” Robyn told him.
“And there’s no point in going to sleep too much anymore. Every night I end up getting up around midnight because of the…” Robyn paused, “Because I can’t sleep.” She said, covering up whatever she was going to say.

AJ Vitcav - June 10, 2008 02:27 AM (GMT)
He was curious on why she couldn't sleep but rubbed it off.

He warned her, "Yeah, exams are always tough. Wait until OWLs and NEWTs."

Robyn Singe - June 11, 2008 11:56 AM (GMT)
Robyn smiled, “I’m not very worried about them. I understand most subjects except history, which I understand but its sooo boring to me that it just goes through one ear and out the other. I especially like astronomy class because I like stars and things like that.” Robyn noticed she was rambling and shut up.

AJ Vitcav - June 11, 2008 01:50 PM (GMT)
He knew everyone made a big deal about the tests but he found them to be easy enough to get top marks.

"I'm sure you'll do fine...looks like you got a good head on your shoulders." he said, complimenting th younger Slytherin.

"Just study hard." he said with a smile.

Robyn Singe - June 11, 2008 02:09 PM (GMT)
Now Robyn felt like a little kid, the way he was talking to her. He sounded like the men her father worked with, who seemed to enjoy patting her on the head and treating her like she wasn't 14, but 7. She frowned, but didn't say anything about it.
"Yea... I don't study much. Doesn't like to stick. But I'll try." Robyn smiled, like she meant it. She doubted she would study at all. She understood it, like she said, she was smart, she just didn't like to work.

AJ Vitcav - June 11, 2008 02:21 PM (GMT)
AJ was realizing he came here for another reason to just read his transfiguration book, he had to look at other books to study for something he didn't want anybody to know.

"Er, I'll be right back. I need to go find some books. I'll be right back?"

He left and headed over to ask the librarian if he could go in the restricted section but she quickly turned him down. He hung his head and turned to the transfiguration section, hoping to find the basics of what he needed.

After finding said books he returned to see if Robyn was still where he had met her.

Robyn Singe - June 11, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
"mmmk." Robyn said simply and watched him go. She stood up and silently walked to the nearest bookshelf. She ran her finger along the titles, reading them one by one. They didn't seem particularly interesting, but they reminded her of when she was little...
When she was six, she lived on the Moors with her mother, in a house that seemed so large to Robyn. There was a large library, because her mother loved to read. Robyn would read everything she could find, just so she could be as smart as her mother. It didn't matter if the words were so huge she couldn't even allow her six year old mouth to pronounce them. It didn't matter that the books were dull and long, she wanted to be as smart as her mother. She wanted be as kind, and she didn't want to be like Ravyn or her father. One day her mother told her, on one of the days when she was in an ill mood, "You'll never be able to read them. You're too little. Just quit now while you're ahead." Robyn had learned then, that she would never catch up with her mother, and since then Robyn rarely read.
Robyn shook her head as she heard Andrej come back. She peeked around the bookshelf. "Still here." She said simply, part of her mind still stuck in the memory.

AJ Vitcav - June 11, 2008 02:50 PM (GMT)
AJ had some books in his arms but when he saw Robyn, he put them quickly into his bag so she wouldnt see what he was doing, or tell anybody for that matter.

"Hey again," he said a little nervous that she saw some of his titles.

Robyn Singe - June 11, 2008 02:55 PM (GMT)
Robyn raised her eyebrow and leaned against the bookshelf, "Somebody, SUCKS at this whole being inconspicuous thing. I mean really, this person needs lots of help with it." Robyn winked, "So why exactly do you not want me to see those books?" Robyn asked, smiling innocently.

AJ Vitcav - June 11, 2008 02:58 PM (GMT)
AJ knew she had noticed: "Uh, just something personal. You'll find out soon enough." He said with a smile.

"I would tell you, but you being a Slytherin I dont know if I can trust you," he joked. "Again, only kidding." He winked.

Robyn Singe - June 11, 2008 03:11 PM (GMT)
Robyn rolled her eyes, "Okay. I won't pry. I think I've done enough today." She smiled, as if that meant absolutely nothing.
Then she frowned, "Andrej, I told you not to make jokes about what house I'm in. Didn't I? 'Cause I really thought I did." Robyn's voice seemed like it belonged to someone else. She then turned her attention back to the books on the shelf. She had decided, as soon as the hat hit her head, that she would be in Slytherin, because she wanted to prove it was mostly about being cunning, and sly. Not about being cruel, or anything that the people thought it was for now. She tried to keep everybody's secrets, a secret, but no one knew how much she knew. And that gave her too much power.

AJ Vitcav - June 11, 2008 03:15 PM (GMT)
Aj turned his attention to his original book, Transfiguration Today, which was written by the lovely folks at the magazine by the same name. It was so interesting to him to read what can be done that isn't taught in school.

He had his wand out, hidden underneath the table he was sitting at, murmering spells while flicking his wand. He knew if Robyn would see, he wouldn't be in trouble so he was more relaxed than he would have been around a teacher.
