Title: Reading up on the past...
Description: For Anyone.

Annabelle Fox - June 10, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
Annabelle walked into the quiet library and a sense of peace overwhelmed her. That was the type of feeling she always got in libraries. They calmed her nerves and made her mind completely clear. Of course, anyone would feel at peace in this library; the sun was filtering through the high windows, touching it's rays down on every other table. The bookcases reached so high, that she was certain that there could possibly be no ladder high enough to retrieve the books on the top five shelves. And the smell of old pages being turned and some not being turned swirled her senses and made her more in-tune with her intellectual self. Actually, being in the library was the only time that Anna felt like a true Ravenclaw.

She went straight to an enormous set of drawers in the middle of the library. This was Hogwarts's own Dewey Decimal System, and she could look up any subject she wanted and be able to almost instantly be able to find it. She started by looking under the letter "F" and seeing if what she wanted was there.

And sure enough, she found it.

In a haste, Anna took the card, remembering it's spot, and tracked down all three books that mentioned her potential ancestor.

Then, in an excitement that she hadn't felt since she had first received that letter that told her that she was a witch, Annabelle opened Dragon Tamer, Dragon Tongue and began to read.

Calum yawned loudly as he walked into the library. And, sure enough, Madam Pince hurried to shush him.
"Alright, alright." He muttered, annoyed, to an even more annoyed Madam Pince.

He had furiously been trying to read a horribly boring book that his grandmother had sent to him, but not even a sentence was read, when his vision was blurred. That was the result everytime he tried to read it and, now, he was so p****d off, he needed somewhere peaceful to go to and the library was the perfect place to be.

So, he walked over to a table and sat down slackly, furiously opening the book again. He even tried to read it because of his mum, warning him that if he didn't know everything this book says by Christmas, he would be yelled at for two whole days by his grandmother.
He didn't relize that there was another girl there until he straightened up and looked out the window.

"Hi." he smiled.

Annabelle Fox - June 11, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
Annabelle looked up at the sound of the voice and saw a boy that looked near her age. Not sure if he seriously meant to say hi to her, she glanced around to see if there was anyone in her vicinity. Surprisingly, he was, in fact, saying hi to her.

"Um, hi. How are you?" she asked dumbly.

It wasn't that Annabelle lacked the social skills to get to know people, it was that no one had really wanted to get to know her and she had made very few friends in her time here. It was good to see another person that actually greeted her.

Calum Ferguson - June 12, 2008 01:30 PM (GMT)
"Really horrible." He said bitterly. "Sorry, I'm in a really foul mood today. By the way, I'm Calum. Nice to meet you."

He began to open the book again, when he decided he'll leave it for today.

"So, what are you reading?" He asked casually.
