Appearance:
Annabelle is the type of girl that doesn't like to flaunt her beauty. She has long dark brown that reaches the middle of her back that would probably look good if it were pulled up, but she has more important things in her life to do than worry about whether every hair on head is in order. She has rather pale skin, which she gets from being indoors more often than out. Her best feature is her golden brown eyes that seem to change tint depending on the lighting of the room/day. She is also rather tall for her age (5'4") and has rather large feet, so she finds herself either periodically bumping her head into low hanging objects, or tripping over her own feet.
Personality:
Annabelle is an odd sort of person. She loves reading and studying, but she also loves to take time out for herself and to just let loose and be wild. She's very in tune to people's emotions and tends to be a good shoulder to cry on, a good friend to laugh with, or someone to just complain to when nothing is going right. That being said, she also has the horrible fault of being able to help people with their problems, but not being able to express her own. She buries her feelings deep, and sometimes when the stress mounts too high, she's been known to snap and take it out on people that don't deserve it. She's a generally helpful person, though, and will come to the aid of friend or foe, if and when the occasion arises. Overall, Annabelle is loyal, caring, fun, and usually a pretty laid back person.
In her spare time, she likes to read about all different sorts of subjects. She also likes planning out trips that she wants to take someday after her schooling is finished. These plans include trips to the United States, Machu Picchu, Japan, India, Italy, Spain, Germany, Australia, Greece, Egypt, and Canada. She's a very cultural person, and embraces civilizations of all races, creeds, and religions. Annabelle has a rather large obsession with photography and has taken to appreciating the beauty of sunrises and sunsets with her camera. She loves taking candid pictures of people rather than asking them to pose, because she believes striking a pose is like putting on a mask to your emotions. So she can get rather annoying with her random camera flashes. And finally, she loves to sing and write songs. When she's not thinking about traveling the world, she's pondering her next song that she wants to sing. She began learning to play the piano when she was 6 years old, and is now pretty good (she's not concert pianist good, but she does well enough that she can form her lyrics around a melody that she creates on her piano).
The thing that Annabelle really can't stand are people who change how they act from person to person. She greatly appreciates the people that she calls, "real" because they don't change their attitude and they just are who they are around anyone. She also has a fear of cars, which stems back from her childhood. Some things that she does like is poetry, the color red, singing, dancing, laughing, and cooking food.
History:
Annabelle Elizabeth Fox was born on February 8, 1993 to Gregory Mark Fox (a lawyer) and Heather Lela Fox (a volunteer at a local school for Autistic children). She had no knowledge of the magical world at all her first 10 years of life, so she grew up in the relative bliss of a normal child.I say "relative bliss" because she has experienced trauma in her life. When she was 3, her Grandfather had taken her to the movies, and they were heading back home, when a truck came out of no where and struck their car. She was hospitalized for two months, and when she came to, she found out that her Grandfather had died. Ever since, she has harbored a fear of vehicles, especially cars. After that incident, her Grandmother moved in with the family, because she didn't want to live alone. The four of them make a very close family that sticks by one another no matter what.
When she was five, everyone began to notice that there was something amazingly different with Anna. Odd things began happening around her. A book would fly across the room, a bulb would shatter, things that would be broken would miraculously fix themselves. It was no surprise to anyone when they found out that there was an actual school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Actually, the only person who seemed to not believe it in the family was Annabelle herself. Once it was proven for her and she had seen that it really did exist, however, Annabelle wondered if maybe there was a magical gene hidden somewhere in her. Ever since finding out about her magical self, her Grandmother and her have been researching her genealogy.
Recently, Annabelle discovered that there was a woman named Lelia Fox who was an inspiration for Rowena Ravenclaw. Lelia was so intelligent, she learned to tame and talk to dragons. Could this be the mysterious gene that Anna could have picked up on? Will we ever know?
Eh, maybe.
