Title: The Secret Book Of Arts
Description: anyone

Valentina Greysoul - June 13, 2008 11:11 AM (GMT)
Sunshine was flooding the library.
it was a beautiful May afternoon, lessons had just finished, and students were now aloud to visit the fields or simply stay in the Library.
Valentina alway told herself that she wouldn't have put one foot in that room unless it was for an urgent homework.
Even if it wasn't either, she gave in all the same.

There were cute little soffas and some light wooden tables, perfect for studying.

She looked around at some normal books, There were tall, large shelfs of ancient books, some latin, some english.
But they had nothing too special.
She gulped quickly as an idea rushed through her head:
Restricted section... She shook her head quickly, as if to shake it right off her.
But temptations always had the best of her.
She looked around once more, for sign of any human presence. Noone was there...
She took a run for it, past the sign, over the small locked gate and into the dark corner.
She slowed down only when she was sure noone actually was there and had heard her.

The restricted section isn't any sort of calm and relaxing place you would want to be in.

"oh, God..." She mumbled as she turned her head, sure that she had just seen a moth-eaten stuffed goblin.
Valentina was now getting quite scared.
She grabbed the first book she saw and ran back out.
SMACK!
she had just ran into someone that had just finished choosing a book, and now she was laying flat on her bottom.
"i am so sorry!" she gasped.

Sylence Clandestine - June 13, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Sylence was clad in her Slytherin uniform complete with a green ribbon tying her messy red hair into a neat ponytail. This was rare. Very rare. She looked so normal, so conformed, she hated. She grabbed Hogwarts a History then started towards a table when someone ran into her. She went crashing to the floor and looked up prepared to argue to death. Her glare turned into a smile as she saw her best friend Valentina.

"Hey Valentina ... In a rush ... You look terrifyed" she climbed off the floor and stared at her friend concerned.

Valentina Greysoul - June 14, 2008 12:14 PM (GMT)
Valentina was very surprised to see Sylence, and even more to see how she was dressed.

"Sylence! you look... beautiful!" she exclaimed, pointing her finger franticly, firt to her friend's neat hairstyle, to the uniform, and finally stopped to the book.

"Y- You're here? with a book?!" She felt her forehead, but she wasn't hot.

She starightend back, rubbing her jumper back to place.

"ah, well, yes!" She said, remembering what Sylence had just said.

"i came here 'cause i had nowere alse to go, and then my Slytherin side got the best of me..." she explained, trying hard to sound mysterious and mischevious, like a real, proud, Slytherin.

She held out the book and ppinted at it's cover. It looked quite normal, really. She looked deeply desapointed.

"someone must have put it in th wrong section... It surely doesn't belong to the Restricted Section..."

Under the huge amount of dust, You could just make out the bloody red cover, even if the tittle was completly burried.

She pointed at a wooden table. What about having a look at it?... you know, just in case..." She said, trying to sound happy and relaxed, even though she was very nervous.

Sylence Clandestine - June 14, 2008 01:19 PM (GMT)
Sylence smirked at Valentina. She could tell that Valentina was attempting to walk on the dark side and Sylence wouln't let her go through it alone. She laughed at Valentina's comment about her uniform and looked at the book in her hand. Old and dusty. Sylence raise her eye brown and stated dramatically and playfully "What will we find in the book?" she lowered her eyes mysteriously and started towards the table.

Valentina Greysoul - June 14, 2008 01:28 PM (GMT)
"I- I have no idea..." she said miserably, feeling stupid that she had just grabbed a random book without checking the tittle first.

They chose a quiet spot, where the librarian wouldn't see them , before opening it.

Valentina, who had her head closer, Gasped and shut it closed before even letting Sylence see for herself.

" The words... They move!" She whispered, scared.

She looked back at the cover, then whipped the dust away to reveal the name.

The Secret Book Of Arts

She gasped again.

"Y- You open it this time" she said, pushing the book towards her best friend.

Valentina knew quite well that books' words couldn't move, but sure enought, this one did.

Sylence Clandestine - June 14, 2008 01:36 PM (GMT)
Sylence stared at her friend for a moment not sure if she wanted to open a book in which the words moved. Feeling stupid for being afraid of a book she quickly grabbed it and opened it. She had forgotten to mentally prepare herself for what she saw as she gasped.

The cover page of the book stated "The Secret Book of Arts". The words glistened as other authors and artist's names appeared and disappeared. Finally at the bottem of the page was a picture of a rose. The rose litarally bleed while on the page.

"Wow" she muttered as she ran her hand across the page.

Valentina Greysoul - June 14, 2008 01:48 PM (GMT)
"it-s... scary!" she muttered, but more intrested than scared now.

she slumped back on a wooden chair.

"i wonder if there's anything about,,, have you ever seen a long, dark corridor in the dungeons, just on the right, there's an empty frame and..."

She was cut off because the book pages quickly turned over, making Sylence remove her hand.

it stopped on page 112.

" That's just freaky!" she commented, but stopped to see words flashing on the page. it was a new chapter.
it said as clearly as it could:
The Empty Frame

She read the first line, ignoring Sylence's gasp of surprise.
"In Hogwart's dungeons, it it said to be kept an empty frame. Hogwart's governators insist that it is only a legend, However, the greatest wizard with the ability of talking Parsletounge -more comonly known as Snake Launguage-, is said to have built two chambers. The first, has very few know, holds a Basilisk with the ability to kill just by staring but... Hey! My father told me it was opened again a second time a few years ago... But i didn't know there was a Basilisk!" Valentina said thoughtfully as she stopped reading.

She stopped again, and reread it.

"Two chambers? that's impossible!"

Sylence Clandestine - June 14, 2008 01:54 PM (GMT)
Sylence stared at the book and back at Valentina. This was more adventure then she expected but that didn't mean she didn't like adventure. She turned to to Valentina and a slow, sadastic and mysterious smile spread across her face.

"Two chambers they say. And you know where it is?"

Valentina Greysoul - June 14, 2008 02:12 PM (GMT)
If Valentina had to choose the most unexpected reply, she would certanly pick this one.

"wha'? well.. i don't know! i just said 'the empty frame' and (the book's words seem to gleam) it showed this!"

It took her a few seconds to realise what she had just said.

"you mean... that frame leads to the second Chamber?" She asked horrified.

Her mind flew back to the first time she had seen the Frame, with those words carved in it, and when she had spoken them, something had shifted or moved above her head.

Another memory caught hold of her. She had told April, when she had taken an emerald at random, and that it started glowing red.
She remembered that she and April had gone to the room of Requirement, and that Valentina had there found a golden snake necklace, and she had shouted, or better hissed, at the necklace and it had stopped.

Thoughts clouded her mind.
Why did she find the Frame and noone alse? Had she spoken Parsletounge to make that thing move, like she did for the golden snake necklace? Was she the...

"NO! that's impossible!" she said out loud, without realising it.

She grabbed her throat, embaraced that she had just did that.

"ow!" valentina yelped once more loudly. Her small silver snake necklace was burning hot.
She sucked her burnt finger and touched the necklace again.
It was back to cold silver.

She looked up at Sylence with an expression of pure fright.

Sylence Clandestine - June 15, 2008 01:49 PM (GMT)
Things happened so fast. Valentina wa mumbling to herself, the book was glowing, her thoughts where racing then suddenly Valentina yelped in pain Had she done something. Was it her fault Valentina was hurt. She looked towards the younger girl and saw her eyes large with fright.

A glare found it's way onto Sylence's face. It was a glare unlike any that had been found on Sylence who glared a lot. This glare was harsh and her emerald eyes seemed to burn with a passion. Sylence took a few deep breaths trying to calm herself down. Valentina looked vulnerable and hurt and Sylence wanted to know who to hurt and when she could do it.

She reached over and gently ran her hands through her hair. It always calmed Sylence down when she was afraid. She muttered gently in a motherly tone "Calm down Valentina. What is wrong?"

Valentina Greysoul - June 15, 2008 02:01 PM (GMT)
Valentina was glad that Sylence was clming her down so well, even though she couldn't understand if Sylence had just glared at someone.

" I..." She was clam, but she couldn't work out anything she could say.

Many thought were running in her mind. Many places that had been weird... Abnormal...
Sylence would surely help her out in this, she was sure...
But where would the go first? In the Dungeons? Or the Lake? Or...

" The room of Requirement!..." she said suddenly. They would have to start with small.

She gestured Sylence out. Then, she remembered about the book.

"how will we take this out?" She asked, panicking.

Sylence Clandestine - June 16, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
Sylence rolled her eyes at Valentina and grabbed the book and stuffed it in her book bag. The librarian wouldn't come running after them.

"Let's go."

She said as they both hurried out the room towards their destination.
