She sighed pulling down on the hem of her white dress, that signified she volunteered here. She was walking out out of an office in the hospital wing, parchment clutched in her hand. She really did enjoy working in the hospital wing in her spare time but she wished she didn't always have the checkup rounds. People could be so mean when they were ill. Taking a deep breath she relaxed and allowed a half smile to set on her lips, it wouldn't take her long today there were only five names on the list. With a curious glance at the piece of parchment in her hand she read out the first name on the list, in her usual soft tones.

"Andrej Vitcav..." she made a 'humm' noise as she glanced around the room, never having heard of this student and not having a clue what he looked like. Eventually her grey eyes caught his name on the bed label. And so she headed over with quite footsteps. It didn't take her long to reach the bed but unsure as to his state she waited at the curtain edge, speaking out with a sense of language which seemed years old.

"Good Morning Andrej, may i please speak with you?"

AJ was laying there, resting, hurt as usual from some escapade that was too dangerous for him when a new volunteer he had never seen in all of his times in the Hospital Wing came in. She wanted to speak with him.

"'Spose so." he said, not trying to be mean, just tired and cranky. "When am I getting out of here?" he asked as politely an injured person can ask.

Injuries occured to AJ quite often and it seemed like his name was permanently on the bed he always seemed to get.

Valentina rushed to the hospital wing.
It was all morning that she was wondering if Andrej felt better, if his head had already mended...
So that's why she decided to go visit him as soon as she had finished lessons.

She was now carring a bunch of white roses, his favourite flowers. She didn't understand much flower language, so she didn't know which flowers ment "get well soon".

As she made her way through the beds, wondering where she could find him, she spotted a tall girl with a white apron thing, a face she knew just too well...

"Fawne! How lovely to see you!" She said, rushing over to her friend, "i have so many things to tell you, if you have some spare time.... Anyway, i was wondering if you could tell me where a tall boy called Andrej is... he got hurt the other day with a bludger... and he fell off, 30 meters or so..." She said hurriedly.
She was happy with herself. Put all the things he suggested together...

then she heard a familiar voice...

The smile didn't leave her lips, though she was a bit taken a back by his bluntness. Even though she'd expected it to some degree. She walked to the side of the bed, satisfied he was awake enough now to respond.

"As soon as one of the Medi-Staff think you are well enough to."

Pulling a self inking quill from her pocket of her long cardigan jacket and making a small note next to his name on her parchment. When her writing stop her misty eyes focused back on Andrej.

"I am afraid I've not been acquainted with your case, what injuries did you sustain? Oh i am Fawne by the way, i volunteer in our hospital wing."

Just as she finished speaking she heard the footsteps of the first visitors, at first it looked like a floating bunch of white roses running towards her, tat was till she spotted Valenitna behind them. The smile the adorned her face now was a genuine one as she greeted the girl she considered like a little sister. Waiting for to finish speaking before replying.

"Oh its glorious to see you Valentina, of course i can spare time for you though it shall have to be after my shift...I believe you've already found him and i rather suppose that explains why your here Andrej...How are you feeling?" the last question was directed back towards AJ.

AJ somewhat smiled at Fawne, "Well I'm Andrej. Friends call me AJ." he said, ignoring the other girl running in. To his annoyance he hadn;t been able to shake her since they met and attempted to go to the kitchens. She was in the Forest with them whe he sustained this injury a few days ago.

"I'm feeling fine." he smiled to show how he was feeling. "See."

He closed his eyes trying to relax. He knew Fawne was doing her job and didn't mind her. "What year are you in Fawne? I would tell you about myself, but that chart looks pretty detailed." he joked about being here so often.

Her reply was automatic when he questioned her, but still said in the soft tone she always seemed to speak in, it was almost melodic in quality.

"I am a fifth year Gryffindor, though i am sixteen." she smiled down at him and walked closer towards his head. "Oh I rather suppose you are the student with an entire cabinet of charts?" she giggled to show she was continuing his joke, it wasn't part of her job to act as she did it was just her nature.

"Could i perhaps she where your wound was? If it is still tender you will need to rest a little longer."

Valentina walked over next to Fawne and looked down at Aj.

"are... are you ok?" she asked weakly, even thought she could see the answer clearly.

she fiddled with the roses, but then put them by his bednight table.

she had just heard what Fawne had said and felt stupid... She should have helped out that time.

"I'm okay," he responded, "I haven't seen the cut, it was bleeding pretty bad a while ago. But Gwen Ravin said to rest here for a couple of days. Probably so people don't bug me and give me a headache."

He smiled a bit. He missed exploring, but knew he needed a break.

She just hummed and nodded her head a little in response to his words whilst placing her parchment and quill back i her pocket. She reached her hands towards his head, like she was going to tilt it forwards to see where the wound was/is but she paused.

"Oh well if she suggests you stay for few days you shall. If you don't mind i would like to take a look at the wound. In case you are in need of further treatment."

He was glad she wasn't like other nurses who did everythign to you without asking, "Yeah...go ahead." he smiled. He leaned foward to let her see the back of his head. Looking down at the bed he realized he was too big for it and every limb hung off of it. His torso was almost as wide as the bed.

"Maybe I can transfigure this into a bigger bed? Since I'm here so often?" he joked as she checked his wound.

Valentina watched Fawne carefully, admiring her good nurse potentials.

she laughted at Aj's joke. even if it would be a good idea.

she still looked at Fawne. What amazing healing and medical potentials she had!

She smiled when he gave her his consent and gentle placed a hand on either side of his head, at the back behind his ears. She looked carefully at the wound and noted it was still red, the healing spell only did so much after all. With a feather light touch she pressed a finger to the red skin.

"Is this still tender?" She didn't wait for a reply before removing her hands all together form his person, still smiling a more genuine comfortable smile than her polite half smile. She giggled when she realized just how big he was compared to the bed, that she hadn't noticed.

"I would rather you did not have to be here so often but i shall see if we can not find you bigger bed."

His head was feeling much better. To be honest he probably could have left after the first night but decided he needed time away from everyone. He thought a lot and had decided he needed to explore more, maybe with less numbers. But he knew that was silly, if he didn't have Casey, John and April, him and the others would be dead.

"No, it's fine. I think I'm ready to go." he was telling the truth. But he was enjoying the constant help he recieved.

Valentina slightly gasped at his phrase.

was he really feeling better?

"Are... Are you sure?" She gasped, before she could stop herself.

Fawne was the one that had to do the talking here.

Her smile quirked a little bit as she bit her lip and tilted her head slightly, considering something, the movements resembled that of a curious animals. With a fluid movement the parchment was back out of the pocket and in her hand, the crimson quill in the other. She scribbled something down on the paper before smiling again once more at AJ.

"I assume you know we can't force you to stay, though i rather wish you would. Head Trauma is often quite tricky to heal, neverthless if you are sure..." she trailed off waiting for his response, if he wanted to leave she couldn't force him to say. Though she would admit it was nice to have a friendly person here, most were grumpy at there injuries.

Valentina's jaw dropped.

how could Fawne always be so sweet and say the right thing at the right time.

Also, Valentina found herself agreeing with her. Aj could do what he thought was best for him.

Valentina turned back to face Aj, and remembered about her roses and flower language. She turned back to Fawne, and whispered in her ear, careful that Aj couldn't see,:

"Fawne... which flowers mean 'get well soon'?" she dearly hoped her Gryffindor friend knew.

April flew up the stairs and burst through the hospital wing doors, not stopping for anyone who shouted, and she barged over to where there were a group of people: Valentina, Fawne, and hidden, she assumed, was AJ. She pushed aside Valentina roughly, and stared at AJ.

"You're okay!" she said in relief, realizing that she herself probably looked dirty and little bent out of ashape anyways. She stared at Fawne for a moment.

"Is he okay, really?" she asked Fawne, who was dressed in medi-witch clothes. She assumed she was a helper of some sort.

Valentina stumbled a bit, and finaly fell, but got back up quite quickly.

She looked shocked at April, who was in a complete mess, and frowned.

love....what a weird thing... She said, smirking quietly, but feeling pitty for both. They were her good friends, after all- even if they didn't respect her as much as she did towards them.

Fawne was startled out of waiting for AJ's response by Valentina who whispered to her a question about flowers. With a pondering look she bit her lip before turning to the smaller girl and bending down to her level so she could whisper in her ear.

"I rather believe Yarrow is the flower of healing, but i think your roses are delightful."

As she stood back up from telling Valentina the correct flower she noticed April barging in from the doors, shoving Valentina aside to get closer to AJ. Her smile dropped slightly at the rude shouting and the behaviour but April was soon forgiven when Fawne realised she looked a little bit of a mess.

"Oh Hello April. Andrej is well, or so he claims...It must have been a terribly hard quidditch game for your both to end up in such a horrid mess." Her soft tone of voice over the word quidditch changed a little, like she was emphasising the word and she clearly looked AJ in the eyes trying to emphasise he should have really told the truth about what happened, so they could treat him correctly. However the look she gave him wasn't mad but perhaps closer to the hurt side that he would lie to her.

"It seems you have a rather large fan club Andrej, i may have to ask you to leave if it gets much larger." The giggle at the end of the statement proved it was a joke and that all was seemingly forgiven. Though she still insisted on using his full name like she did with everyone.

Valentina thought back at Fawnes reply, and realised that since April had pushed her aside, she didn't even thank her.

However, she slightly giggled at Fawne's statement, and was prepared to leave if anyone alse joined. She wasn't half as desperate as April to see Aj.

She looked back at April again, but felt slightly more annoyed.
She could have said sorry, at least... She thought, irritated.

what she could not stand, were rude people (people seeing her as a kido, when she was mature and self confisent, and many other things).

When April came into the room he forgot about everyone. He mumbled to Fawne, "I'll do whatever you think is best."

His world almost ended in the forest a couple of days ago and hadn't seen April since. He wanted to hug her but couldn't get up from the bed.

"He noticed what Fawne said about a fan club, "That's exactly what I don't want. People asking what had happened to me."

He frowned, but smiled as he looked at April again.

April looked at Fawne incredulously. Quidditch match?

"Quidditch match?" she asked stupidly, then looked at Valentina. "Oh, yes, the quidditch match! I won, obviously..." she said, mumbling.

She turned to look at AJ, who was smiling at her. She grabbed his hand and stroked it softly. She felt bad that he had to get hurt, and not just her. It was a bad situation all around. She really did want to get revenge on Flame, but she was too out of control.

"Are you sure you're alright? When can you leave?"

AJ was feeling fine and told them that.

"It's up to Fawne and the other nurses I suppose..." he said with a pain in his voice.

He laid back wanting peace and quiet but knew it would be hard to get, students we always allowed in the hospital wing. He just wanted to be alone. Well, perhaps April could stay with him.

Valentina gave April a weak smile, trying to show her the excuse she had been saying.

Apart from her fustration, she was glad to hear that she was okay, and that she had faught against Flame and won.

Valentina listened to Aj's tired voice and felt a huge amount of pitty. It was bad enought being hurt in the head, but being circled by people when in these circumstances was just sick.
She understood it well.

"Fawne, if you've finished with your nursing duty, would you be kind enought to show me where they keep the Yarrows?" She asked delicately, heading slyghtly towards the doors.

"and April, would you please put those white roses in a water jug? I had to spend most of my pocket money on it, and they are so pretty..." She said gently.

April probably hadn't noticed the roses.
Valentina felt bad about it. April should have brought them. She had a crush on him, not her

She thought carefully.
"I'll pay you back this evening. Thank you for the money you gave me..."
It felt kind of sad, spending her money and saying it was from someone alse, but friends were worth it.

AJ watched as Fawne led Valentina out of the room. He was alone with April again.

"So...is everything okay?" he asked, worried something bad had happened in the Forest.

April stalled, not wanting to talk about Flame and worry him. She fluffed up his pillow and fixed the roses on his table before turning back to him.

"Well, I'm alive, if that helps," she said simply, looking anywhere but his eyes. "I got out, so that's all that really matters AJ."

She tried to look like she was okay, but her body still hurt from the curse, and she was very tired. She realized she must look very unattractive to him right now, being very dirty and sweaty and run down. She was a little embarassed by the whole situation, though she knew it wasn't her fault at all.

AJ looked at April. He wasn't sure if she was telling the truth, but was so tired he didn't care. AJ was dozing off while April talked. He wanted to be awake but was growing more tired by the second.

"Are you sure?" he yawned.

April looked t AJ, feeling bad. He looked really tired, and he probably just needed rest now. She studied him carefully, fixing his sheets now, and nodded.

"We can talk later. Why don't you get some sleep? I'm going to nap too, but I guess I'll do it here." She pointed to a little cot.

"Go to sleep," she ordered, laying down on the cot next to him.

He didnt want to rest, he wanted to spend time with April, and hadn't seen her in a long time. "Why don't you come rest over here, we'll sit and talk?" he suggested. Maybe I'll fall asleep, but I've missed you."

His body language showed he was in fact tired, but tried to hid it from April.

April agreed, nodding her head, and got up off the cot gingerly. She didn't want to tell him, but she was really tired and worn out too, maybe as much as him. At least she didn't have the scar to prove it. But she had been through a lot in the forest as well, just not something she wished to share with him just yet.

"Alright," she said, sliding onto the cot with him. She didn't know if they approved of this or not, but she saw no one around anyways.

"I've missed you too," she whispered into his ear, hoping he would fall asleep quickly. "What did you want to talk about?"

He didnt really want to talk, just wanted to relax with her.

"Anything but my injury." he smiled, "You sure everything is alright?"

He could tell something had happened, but she didnt seem want to tell. The hospital wing was empty, but nurses kept coming in to check on him. They shot glares at April, like she wasn't allowed ot be there.

April looked around, not wanting to answer, but knowing she had to. She wasn't sure this was the right time, but she'd have to talk now, and at least here, in the hospital wing, she'd be able to stop him from doing anything rash.

"Okay, I'll spill."

"Muffliato," she whispered, aiming it at the hospital wing area. Hopefully, it would work, and no one could overhear.

"So, Flame came back into the forest, looking for me. I let the others take you on to the castle. I didn't want anyone else getting hurt," she explained. "Flame wanted a little revenge. We dueled and such, she let me go eventually."

She didn't want to go into specifics, for fear of hurting his feelings.

He was worried, but Valentina already let it slip there was a duel. "She's not controlling you now is she?" has asked, very scared. He didnt want anything bad to happen to April.

Flame was a nasty girl and AJ was beginning to hate her.

"No, no," she said quickly. "Don't worry about that." She laughed.

"If you don't believe me, ask me something only I would know. But anyways, if it was up to Flame, I wouldn't be here with you at all. She was talking about how I shouldn't hang out with people who aren't Purebloods. The whole concept is ridiculous. I'm not a crazy Pureblood elitist like her, and she's clearly keeping tabs on me."

AJ believed her. "Perhaps we should try and capture her...turn her in. Everyone knows she supports her father. Rather rediculous."

He then remembered the rumours about his favourite professor Lycs Anima. He had helped AJ out with so much in studying to become an animagus, as did April, Zeke and Conley. But what if he was NDE.

"The NDE are starting to become very popular...it's getting scary out there."

"It is getting scary... but we can all hold our own. I mean, I saw Flame... she sort of out of control. But I don't want you anywhere near her either. I think we should all just keep our distance, really. Just let her do whatever... if they really think shes a NDE, they'll kick her out."

"They're getting bigger all the time... did you hear about the rally a few days ago in that muggle town? They killed hundreds of Muggles."

AJ hated to hear they were killing muggles. They could have been friends or family of his. And he knew they'd come after muggleborns first. It scared him a bit. He knew he could handle his own. And now, if the muggleborns had to go into hiding. He'd be able to transform into whatever animal he was close to becomming.

She could tell that Aj didn't like hearing about it, but she figured he would be safe once he could transform. The Ministry wouldn't have him on record, or what animal he was, and it'd be easy for April to hide him anyways. She wasn't too concerned. And her, being a Pureblood, was safe.

"Hey it's okay. We're both safe; I'm a Pureblood and you're an animagus soon. You'll be able to hide and I'll help all I can."

He knew she was right. Her statement just made him more curious on what he would become. AJ read that the animal came from the inside. But he didn't know what animal represented him.

AJ was strong, large, smart, curious, adventurous, and a fighter. "What animal has all of those qualities?" he asked aloud, not realizing April would obviously hear him.

April laughed, realzing that AJ hadn;t meanto say that out loud.

"All of what qualities?" she asked, curious.
