Title: Extra Help
AJ Vitcav - June 13, 2008 10:02 PM (GMT)
AJ loved Transfiguration the most. He prided himself on being near perfect in the class, even though he did well in his other classes it was because he was a good student. But in Transfiguration he was actually talented in.
He made his way up to his favourite class' professor's office to ask for some extra help in an area he thought he hadn;t grasped. Perhaps in reality he was fishing for compliments because earlier in class he was the first and only to complete the task.
"Professor Anima?" he asked, knocking while entering. "May I come in?"
Lycs Anima - June 14, 2008 11:14 AM (GMT)
Lycs looked up from some marking and smiled. "Ahhh, AJ, of course you can come in." He replied, tidying his desk which had been strewn with papers he was marking. They now sat in a neat pile, half marked. Most students would have been told to come at a later time, but AJ was different, he had a spark for the subject, was bound for an 'O' with ease and soLycs naturally preferred him to other students.
He signalled to a seat at the opposite side of the desk. "Take a seat." He told the student, "And how may I help you today, AJ? It's rarely I see you up here."

AJ had heard rumours about Lycs but didn't mind them. He enjoyed his time with the professor. He looked around the office, not nervous at all, but very comfy in fact.
He didn't really need extra help but wanted to talk to Lycs about the tournament and other things that were on his mind.
"Er, well I made it into the tournament. Which is great. I'm sure you're voting for April then? Head of Slytherin and all. But there is something I wanted to talk to you about."
He continued, "I have started to study to become an Animagus. The Ministry approved my studying a month or so ago. Well I was wondering if you could possibly help me. With either the tournament or studying. I want both so badly, but time constraints."
AJ wasn't sure how Lycs was going to reply.

Lycs looked at him, listening carefully. He had, of course, known that AJ was the Ravenclaw representative for, being a head of house, it was important to know what your rep was up against. AJ would be a difficult opponent, but then again both of the other students were talented and more experienced than April, whom he intended to give his full support.
"As I'm sure you were expecting, I wouldn't be able to help you in the tournament, if anyone gets hints from me it will be my own candidate and noone else. However, the animagus part I can help you with. But first, I need you to swear that what happens in this office remains in this office- no telling friends, family, other professors, ministry reps, or anything. Am I understood?"

He knew he wouldn't get help in the tournament, and that was okay. Anything the professor told April, she would tell him.
"Of course professor. I don't want anybody to know what I'm doing. Want to keep it secret of course."
He stared back at his professor. Perhaps he had something to hide as well.
"Any pointers Professor?"
