Emily splashed around in the water gasping for air. Emily wasn't really enjoying drowning, but who would?

Emily thought about how she would have start the day normally and end it drowning in the lake. It sucked. She had first gotten up and dressed. Then went to her classes, she ate at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then after a late night of studying in the library she walked throw the hallways then she felt someone, she didn't know who. Grab her, tie something around her ankle, then throw her in the lake.

The thing that sucked was barely anyone was up at this hour and no one would probably find her until she was dead, lying at the bottom of the lake. And most likely no one would be notice who she was because the creatures in the lake would have eaten at her flesh.

Emily had run out of energy and couldn't stay on top of the water. She went under the water and closed her eyes. Just as she thought she was about to die, Emily felt someone pull her out of the water.

it was sunset, but it was annoyingly cold for being in the month of May.
Valentina had decided to go out for a walk after dinner by the lake.
She was almost sure noone was there.

A warm wind swept threw her hair, as she got closer to the lake.
it looked so calm and peacefull. Nothing was moving... Now water seemed to shift...

The she saw it. Splashing by the far ed, hands trying to break free.
There was someone there... drowning...

Without thinking twice, she kicked of her shoes and untied her Slytherin tie, And dived off the shore.

A cold feeling ran threw her, as she hit the water.
She had just finished eating... she could drown too...
But this didn't stop her from helping the person.

She grabbed a hand, as it was about to sink completly from the water, and tore it forwards, towards her.
For a few short seconds, she thought something was pulling them down. Panic was slowly taking control of her, but she felt a boast of stamina.

She swimmed towards the edge, she could feel her toes touch the slimey jellyweed, but she had finally pulled herself out, with her arm around the persons weist.

She spattered and caughted, sweet water in her mouth, before turning back to see the girl she had just saved.

"hello" she said simply, sitting up and looking at her better, with such relaxed voice you could hardly believe she had just dived in the Dark Lake and saved a person's live.

"how did you do that?" she asked, " i mean, you weren't even in a swim suit, and you were pretty off shore..." She pointed out at the girl's hufflepuff uniform.

Emily opened her eyes. She saw a Slytherin girl looking over at her.

Emily heard the girl say a few words. Emily noticed that she was on land, and alive. Emily coffed and out came some water. Emily weakly said "Hello."

Emily looked down at her ankle where there was a brick tied to it. "I was thrown in. I'm Emily, thankyou for saving my life" Emily told her.

Valentina smiled at Emily, and held out her hand.
"Valentina Pearl Greysoul!" She said happily.

She helped Emily sit up straight, before looking down at her unkle, wanting to see what Emily had just looked at.

"Emily!" She gasped, "H-How-? what? Who did that?" She asked, shocked.

She bent over to untie the brick, but it was soldly tightened.

Valentina helped Emily sit up. "Don't even bother it would come off trust me. Can you please take me to the hospital" Emily said as Valentina tryed to untie the brick.

Valentina stopped trying to untie her unkle.
"of course i will!" she said happily.

She helped Emily walk, since he unkle was tied to suck a heavy brick.

"who did that?" she asked suddenly. "I mean, I saw yo around the school before... I don't see why anyone wouldn't like you!"

Emily got up and started walking. "AHHH SH*T. I think my ankle is broken" Emily said but kept walking.

"I hve no idea who did it. All I remember is being grabbed then I was in the lake."

The two reached the hospital.
