Title: Contemplating the future
Description: Fawne

Aaron had a lot t think about- he was in his last year and about t leave Hogwarts for a while, at least. and he was now the representative of his house in the tournament. He had wanted this very much but he couldn't help but wander exactly how he was going to manage. He, of course, was always thinking about these things but today he needed to really focus.
He entered the library and sat down, eyes on a piece of parchment on which he planned to put any notes which came to mind. He had a lot to decide and such a short time to do it in. He dedicated one side to the tournament and the other to his future.
As he sat thinking he put the end of the quill in his mouth and frowned, looking ever more handsome as he concentrated harder and harder.

She'd always been found of the shaded library, especially so when everyone else was so fond of spending time in the sun. She felt safer hidden away in the shelves her eyes currently roaming over the words of some vampire novel she'd picked up from the fiction section, humming to herself as she read.
The last thing Fawne wanted to do now was study, it was her holidays and the tournament would push her enough mentally as it was. House tensions were high now and the tournament was on everyone's lips. Whether or not people treat the competitors diffrent was still unknown and she wasn't to bothered about finding out.
Without really thinking about it she wandered out of her hidden path between the shelves, grey eyes still on the book clutched in her pale hands. when the light from the window caught her eyes she lowered the book automatically, observing where she ended up. Upon looking around the room she noticed the Hufflepuff entrant perched at a table, seemingly writing something. With no hesitation she was at the desk in moments,
"Hello, i rather believe were in competition. I am Fawne Sugarmoon, Gryffindor entrant..." she was never one to beat around the bush, she started the conversation to assess Aaron. Without being mean she didn't really see AJ and April as serious competition, one was slytherin Brawn and the other Ravenclaw Instinct both very physical attitudes and both wrapped up in each other. She on the other hand saw Aaron as the Hufflepuff intelligence and herself as Gryfindor wisdom, similar traits...

He had been scribbling a few notes on a piece of parchment regarding his future, what he wanted to be, how he planned to do it, and was shocked to see those 'few notes' had filled the page, just when a voice brought him back to reality.
He looked up and smiled, friendly as ever, he didn't care if they were meant to be against each other, a little hospitality went a long way.
"Hi, Aaron Mains, Hufflepuff entrant, why don't you take a seat?" he questioned. "I have been warned that you will be rather stiff competition, but I don't mind, competition is good for the mind."

She smiled politely at his offer, placing her fiction novel on the table and quietly drawing a chair. Sitting down with a fluid, graceful movement before drawing closer to the table, hands linked together on her lap and ankles tucked together at one side. She always did have impeccable manners.
"You have been warned i am competition but do you see me as competition? Nevertheless i am delighted someone feels so highly of me to warm you." Her voice was soft as she spoke, tints of curiosity lacing its tones. And she giggle slightly at the end to show she was not being arrogant. She wanted to figure him out before her could analyse her. She'd heard this about Aaron, the hufflepuff genius. He had his reputation and she had hears. Now she needed to know if its true.

He watched her, not wishing to completely analyse her, but to get an idea of what she was like, if she really deserved the reputation she had. He'd been told she was smart, but at times appeared to be away with the fairies. But he never had and never would judge harshly.
"Whether I see you as great competition has yet to be decided, for in my eyes I feel I don't know you well enough to decide. It is one thing to go by what you are told, a completely different thing to experience it first hand. The more valuable and reliable is the second, in my experience. So far? You seem you may be fair competition, though you haven't got the years to match my own."

She twirled a strand of hair carelessly, her eyes suddenly shut as if she was pondering something. Only moments later they opened once more, the misty unfocused look gone and one of keen awareness in its place. Though the difference was little in her over all intangible appearance. Her voice was more curious than normal when she spoke like she was questioning his words.
"I have been delighfully unaware i have a reputation, perhaps you could inform me of it? Nevertheless i believe you are proving true to yours you are gloriously observant and your words are intelligent. I believe you will be wonderful competition." she paused in her words, her tone back to normal the curiosity gone now. "indeed you out rank me in years but i rather believe skill is not assessed by time."
Aaron Mains - June 16, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
He watched her, casually running a hand through his long hair before removing a comb and tidying it up, outwardly gay, not caring what others thought of that. If they had a problem well... That was their problem, not his.
"Your reputation portrays you as smart, but daydreamy. I realise there is that side, but also a more aware side to you, Fawne Sugarmoon. And you are right in saying years do not judge skill, I have seen the fifth year girl I can't remember the name of take on the very best in my year, and adults, a come out on top. What matters is how you think but also how you play. I think we shall see a fair game outside, played by us two at least, though I cannot speak for the others."
Fawne Sugarmoon - June 17, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
She watched him vaguely as he spoke eyes more aware but betraying nothing than their light grey colour. Her face still the perfect mask of wistfulness. It was in her nature to be the way she was and being so openly bold about any skills she possessed was not something she was willing to share. After all wisdom was often misjudged and misjudgment could be useful in these times.
"Hmm. Perhaps i am those things, perhaps i am not. I rather like how no one has chosen my most prominent quality. It amuses me so..." she giggled lightly, it did seem as if no one could pin what part of her personality was most prominent. She stopped giggling, placing her hand lightly on her collar bone as she look to the ceiling as if thinking.
"Life is like chess, no? Everyone move has a reactionary one, it is best never to be too predictable..." she'd spoke without changing her pose like she was still thinking, when her soft words finished she dropped her gaze back to Aaron and her hand back to her lap. Polite posture back in place.
"I know of both April and Andrej, they are delightful people but they play diffrent strategies, nevertheless neither should be underestimated. I rather belive April works on instinct, survival being her basic goal. Andrej is perhaps pure brawn, he spends a lot of his time healing." her thoughts were based in her own judgments and facts, like it was a fact Andrej had a huge hospital wing file and it was a fact April reacted on instinct when they were attacked by that spider...
