AJ found Hogwarts relaxing. Now that students had left, besides those who decided to stay for the tournament, he could wander around without being bothered.

He was relaxing inside of an empty classroom, he had a book to read but had closed it to shut his eyes. The desks weren't the best thing to nap in, but he figured he wouldn't be bothered here. He heard a noise but when he opened his eyes he didnt see anything. Still he decided to stay awake in case someone was around.

AJ opened his book and started to read, he put his wand on the desk an inch from his hand, ready just in case. Just then he heard a noise from behind him. He quickly stood up, pointing his wand at the intruder!

"Hey, it's just me!" John said, jumping backwards in alarm at having a wand pointed at him, his hands out, showing he was unarmed. He hadn't meant to startle him, but he hadn't been sure if he was sleeping or not and had got closer, no he was pretty suer was awake.

It was just John. "Oh, sorry. A little on edge." he said, lowering his wand.

"Didnt think anybody would be in a classroom over summer. I needed time away from everyone." He didnt want to make it seem that he didnt want John's company.

"But I'm glad you're here." he said with a smile.

"Sorry, I didni't think I would startle you like that." He said relaxing a bit. "Yeah, here is better than home, I was happy when they said we could stay , so I'm staying for the tournament, How is that going for you by the way?" he asked taking a seat on one the desks by AJ.

AJ was so tired of the tournament, he wanted to win, but he just didnt think it was worth it. "Good." he lied.

He was enjoying his time alone, but felt he needed something better to do. "You entered the tournament right?" AJ felt John was a better choice then Aaron.

"Yeah, I did, you kinda talked me into it." He said remembering the first conversation the two of them had, about missing shoes and the tournament. "I'm glad I didn't get chosen,, I guess I just too much of a boring Hufflepuff." he said jokingly " Why?"

"Oh yeah," he said, remembering he said John should enter. "Oh and I think you'd be a better candidate than Aaron anyday. But I guess the Goblet can't get them all right." he said, sitting back down.

AJ was in the mood for relaxing. But he remembered an idea he had a while back. Ever since that day in the forest.

"You know what we need. a Dueling Club. But secretly. Just for a couple of friends. To practice, you know?"

He always wanted to start one

OOC: I think after the forums get moved I'll start one, if it's a good idea.

"I don't really know him that well so I can't really say." He said then listened to Aj's idea, and nodded. "Yeah, I think that would be a great idea. I'm a fan of dueling myself, but it never hurts to practice. With the NDE getting stronger it might come in handy some day." He said, the last reported attack on muggles that he had read had been close to his home town, and as a muggle born he knew he was a target anyway.

Both of them being muggleborn knew the importance of being trained in dueling. AJ had been practicing nonstop, but his studying and the tournament got in his way.

"Yeah, I'll spread the word. Find some people. Prefferable non-Slyhterin and fifth year and above. Littler kids have trouble even holding their wands." he said with a smirk.

He thought about Conley, who was now a second year. Of course he would invite him, but AJ knew Conley was good at dueling.

"Casey might be interested." He said thinking of people who might want to join, He wouldn't have suggested her if he hadn't seen her in the forest, that side of her had surprised him, she was not the shy girl he had met at the dance. He agreed with AJ, only the older students should do it, he could see a lot of accidents happening with younger kids who didn't really know whet they were doing with their magic yet.

Him bringing up Casey made AJ curious. "So, you and Casey? Is there something going on there?" he asked. Recently he had been getting feelings he probably shouldn't be getting.

"I don't mean to pry."

AJ realized for the first time he has a group of friends he can count on and didn't want to mess any of that up.

John rubbed the back of his head embarrassed looking down for a few seconds before words started to come out like word vomit"I don't really know, I think so but I'm not for sure. I like her, I think she likes me but I don't know, we both have a lot of things in common so I don't know if she just wants someone to talk to about things or what. Girls are confusing."

AJ smiled a little. "Yeah...girls are confusing." He should be happy for his friend. He had April and John had Casey. But recently his mind was confused.

He didnt know what else to say but: "Wanna practice dueling now. Just simple hexes and dissarming?"

He saw Aj's little smile and smiled a little back, at least he wasn't alone there. "Sure." he said, jumping on the opportunity to get out of the awkward situation that he had put herself in.

AJ didnt know how to act at the moment. "Well...the dueling club though. I'll start spreading the word tomorrow. I know loads of people who'd be interested. Funny though, they all are Slytherins." Though the Slytherins had a bad reputation and now it was getting better, he felt funny around the Slytherins. Like he couldn't trust them. Sometimes he felt that wasy about April too.

"Wanna duel now? As practice."

"Yeah, that is a little odd, but they aren't all bad, its really just reputation with most of them."John said, he was really a trusting person,most the Slytherins he knew seemed like okay people, but he still knew where AJ was coming from, not all of them were.

"Sure." he said when asked if he wanted to duel, he really didn't have anything better to do.

They stood a couple or metres apart. AJ had agreed to let John attack first. He was hit a spell, as he tried to disarm it, his wand didnt seem to work. He wasnt thinking clearly. He likes Casey and she likes him, he told himself. He shook the thoughts out of his mind.

AJ used a nonverbal spell, which he didnt think John was ready for. A blaze of blue hit John in the chest, knocking him backwards. "Oi, sorry!" AJ yelled, running over to help pick him up. But John was quick to his feet. Caching AJ in the chest with a spell of his own.

He hadn't expected the spell that hit him, but he could give them as well as he took them, and surprised AJ with his own. Getting up him self, he walked over to AJ and offered him a hand up. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked. 'You seem a little distracted, we can stop if you want." He said a little concerned for his friend.

AJ didnt respond. There was an energy ripping through his body. Like he hated John because he and Casey had somethnig going on. He didnt reply, angry he sent a spell that blasted John up against the wall. When he heard John yelp in pain, he snapped out of it and knew he had gone to far.

"Oh jeeze." He ran over to him. He mended any damage done. "I'm sorry. So sorry." he said, then getting quiet as he noticed John was fixed again.

John got up, rubbing the back of his head where he had hit it, but was otherwise fine. "It's okay, I'm fine." He said brushing himself offWhat's up?" he asked with a bit of caution and wand once again in hand to avoid being blasted backwards again, surprised at AJ's attitude, he wasn't sure what had caused the sudden anger he had shown.

"Nothing." He lied, but immediatly started to tell the truth. "You know the deal with me and April? Well we havent talked in the longest of times. It's probably my fault. I'm falling for another girl, who likes someone else and probably doesnt know I exist. But it's okay."

John was a good friend, but probably didnt want to hear his complaining so AJ dropped it. He didnt want to tell John he was falling for Casey.

"Oh, that sucks, I'm sorry. " He said with a small frown. "Like I said, girls are confusing, I don't think they even make sense to themselves. " He said, yes they were frustrating, but he didn't get why he was taking it out on him, they had been fine until they had started talking about Casey...could that be it? "Do you mind if I ask who it is?" he asked.

Of course he had to lie. "Erm..." he froze, in his mind he was thinking of a million names but out came, "Casey." he froze. He didnt want things to go wrong between John and he.

"But it's okay. I know you guys have something going on. Just forget I mentioned it." He was rambling now.

He looked up at him, staring dumbly at him, not sure what to say to that at first. " I don't even know if we really have anything going on, Like I said, I don't know if she just wants someone to talk to about some things going on in her life that's already had something similar happen or what. Don't worry about it." He said honestly. "You're smart and a good guy, you might as well go for it."

"No no. She mentioned to me something about you. That was before I realized what was going on. I wish I had remembered what she said."

He felt guilty. "Just stick with it. Ignore me. I'm crazy." he laughed, trying to play it off.

"Anyways, we have that dueling club that should be fun." he changed the subject.

"Yeah, forget about it, let's not let that get between us." He said smiling, AJ was a good guy he wouldn't have a problem if he and Casey got together, it would hurt, but he would get over it, he always did, but then again, she had really said something about him? "Yeah, Tell me when you get it orginized or whatever."

"For sure." he said, putting out his hand for John to shake it.

"I'll spread the word tomorrow and then we will see how it goes."

He got up and decided to leave. "I'll see you then?"


OOC: I posted someting in the plot section. And tomorrow I will start a thread called Dueling Club somewhere.
