Truthfully, the rain had put Ellie in a horrible mood. It wasn't just the dark, dull grey clouds, or the hard rain, making smelly mud, and damp clothes. It was just the atmosphere of rain. It seemed as though everyone in the castle became negatively effected by the rain. They either turned nasty, dull, or extremely hyper to a point where you could kill them and not think twice about it. Ellie was bored. Very, very bored.
The Ravenclaw sat in the courtyard on a bench underneath the over hang. She could see the water droplets on the lake. The squid had disappeared from its sunning rock, down to the depths, escaping the dreary rain. Ellie leaned her head up against the wall in back of her. The air even smelled damp. It made Ellie's nose wrinkle. She hated that smell. It was such a dull smell.
Ellie had spent the last hour reading the the library. Soon the dusty smell of the books got to her and she opted for the dampness of the rain. The bottoms of her dark jeans had become wets when she had walked out into the courtyard. Her canvas shoes damp as well. She sat on the bench with her hoodie up over her long brown hair. It was a miserable way to be.
Ellie could hear the water droplets hitting the leaves of the trees in the very near distance. The Forbidden forest loomed out ahead of her, just begging to be explored. However bold Ellie was, she wasn't about to get pneumonia sneaking out into the forest. Maybe tomorrow, when its sunny. Miserable. Simply miserable.
"It's raining out Barky" Sylence told the all black kitten in her arms. She was clad in destroyed jeans, a black shirt and bright orange Chuck Taylors. Even though she didn't have on any of the Slytherin colors her Slytherin pride seeped through her skin. It was hard to miss. You could nearly smell it when she walked by.
"Let's go for a walk" she told the cat as she left her spot looking out a window and started out the doors. As soon as her feet touched the ground her kitten jumped out her arms and darted towards a girl that was sitting on a bench. Sylence sighed to herself but started after her kitten.
"Barky. Barky. Barkymickbarkinghouser Stop!" she called annoyed as she finally reached her kitten who was pawing at the girls pants. Sylence glared at her kittens rudeness and rolled her eyes at him. He simply purred and continued to pur at the girl.
"Sorry about this. Barky's suffering from lack of Cat social life" she told the black haired girl as she grabbed her kitten and scratched behind his ear.
Ellie felt a pawing at her leg. She looked down to find a small black kitten clawing at her leg playfully. She looked up to see a girl coming towards her shouting at the kitten. It seemed to be called Barky. She picked him up and apologised.
"Oh it's okay, I have a cat too, Corky...he can go a bit crazy sometimes. Barky's kind of an ironic name isn't it?" she laughed as she watched the playful kitten in the girls arms.
