Title: Midnight Musings
Description: Open
Aria Casanov - June 21, 2008 03:11 PM (GMT)
Aria stood on the top of the Astronomy Tower, looking down onto the Hogwarts grounds. There were some interesting changes going on she thought, some of which intrigued her had to do with the Neo Death Eaters.
Slowly she twirled a long, white rose in her left hand.Seemingly out of no where a resistance group had begun to appear - and white roses seemed to be their trademark, they were often scattered around the castle.
It was a nice night out and she removed her over robes, leaving only the periwinkle dress beneath it. It was soft and silky and had cost a small fortune. If there was one thing Aria had plenty of it was money. She wasn't even sure why she taught, except that she loved true, pure-blood wizarding history.
She pulled her wand out of her robes pocket and pointed it at the rose, turning it jet black,The white rose, she thought to herself, what a poor symbol.
Suddenly she stood up straight and alert. Someone was coming up the steps to the tower. She dropped the rose at her feet and turned to face whoever approached, her blue grey eyes cold and expressionless.
Casey Bryant - June 21, 2008 04:10 PM (GMT)
It was a nice night, but a sleepless one for Casey. It wasn't so much that she had a lot on her mind, but she was just resltess. As she would on any sleepless night, she decided to make her way to the Astronomy Tower. It wasn't a cold night tonight, so Casey had shed her Hufflepuff robes for a pair of shorts and a comfy hoodie. She hadn't expected to see anyone, so she hadn't bothered with her clothes. It was night, and she was in her pajamas.
Lumbering up the stairs really took it out of you, so when Casey reached the top, she couldn't help but feel relieved. But when she opened the door she let out a little "oh" of surprise. She hadn't expected to see anyone here. Hesitating, she soon realized that the figure was a professor. Just her luck. She froze, not sure whether she should just turn around or stay.
Aria Casanov - June 21, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
Aria's eyes widened in amused suprisement, a single eyebrow going up. Ah, she thought to herself, a curfew-breaking Hufflepuff. She disliked most who weren't Slytherins and all that weren't pure-bloods.
"Hello," she said, a cold smile taking residence on her face, "Can you please explain to me why you are out after curfew?"
She crossed her arms, her wand still gripped tightly in her hand, and waited for an expaination.
Casey Bryant - June 21, 2008 04:54 PM (GMT)
Casey stayed put in the doorway. This wasn't what she had expected, and it could turn out bad for her. Pausing, she wasn't really sure to say. She really didn't have a good excuse, She contemplated just turning back, but for some reason she was just rooted to the spot.
"I...uh.. I couldn't sleep," Casey offered lamely, making note of the wand in the professors hand. She almost made to grab hers out of pure instinct, but she thought better of it. It really just wouldn't be a good idea to pull a wand out on a professor.
Aria Casanov - June 22, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
Aria smirked at the students lame response. There were several things she wanted to say, but instead she asked, "Why did you chose to come to the tower?"
Casey Bryant - June 23, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
Casey shrugged, "I dunno.... I like it up here. The stars and such... " She was feeling a bit bolder at this point, but still nervous. She was still weary, however, knowing that she could full well get a detention for being out after curfew.
Aria Casanov - June 23, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
"Tell me somethings Casey, just out of curiosity, what is your blood status?" she asked, looking at the girl critically. Either way, she was going to lay into the girl, but in different ways. Pure-bloods had to be disciplined and made a superior race-everyone else...
She raised an eyebrow and waited for the student to answer, absentmindley scratching her forearm.
Casey Bryant - June 23, 2008 08:17 PM (GMT)
At that Casey knew that this wasn't going to end well. Only pure blood crazed professors asked that question. And being a half blood.... well she could already tell that things were not going to work in her favor. "Ummm... I have a half blood," Casey admitted, trying hard to maker her voice sound as small as it normally would in a situation like this.
Aria Casanov - June 23, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
[OOC: 'Only pure blood crazed professors'. That cracked me up, lol.]
"A half-blood," she repeared slowly. Half-blood should be left alone for now, she remembered. Yet, she did like to have a bit of fun and since this one had just walked right in front of her....
"You do know Miss. Bryant, that you can get in serious trouble for being out late after curfew...I wonder what the Headmaster would have to say about this..." she deliberatley let her voice trail off.
Casey Bryant - June 23, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
OOC: ahaha yea.... :)
Casey frowned somewhat, wondering where this would go. THings could two ways, either they could really badly, or she could get lucky and not get into too much trouble. "I don't see why it's such a big deal... a bunch of kids are out passed curfew..." Casey mumbled, realzing that after she'd said that, it really wasn't the best thing to say. But going to the headmaster wouldn't be too bad.... she supposed. She'd never actually been sent there, so she couldn't say.
Aria Casanov - June 23, 2008 08:39 PM (GMT)
Aria had no intention of taking Casey to the Headmaster, she just wanted to make her squirm. Her wand was still in her hand and she raised it a bit, wondering what effect it would have on the girl.
"I think," she said slowly, "That you deserve a detention. What do you say Miss Bryant?"
Casey Bryant - June 23, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Casey shrugged, what was she supposed to say to that? Like she was gonna jump for joy at a detention? She'd kind of been expecting that to be honest. It wasn't so bad she supposed. It as just stupid though, and she was kind of frustrated at this point.
"I guess that's up to you Professor," Sounding a lot a bolder than she felt. Being tired and frustrated really didn't make a good combination, it usually led to her snapping, which wasn't a good thing in this situation.
Aria Casanov - June 23, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
Aria continued to stare at Casey, expressionless. "Perhaps, Casey, you will recieve a detention. But I don't think that's neccessary...if it can be avoided.
I have a couple of questions. If you were to help me answer them, I can forget you were even here tonight."
"First, what exactly is the order of the white rose and who founded it?"
Casey Bryant - June 23, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Casey looked at the Professor somewhat quizically. What kind of questions would she be asking? And would they be worth not receiving a detention? She frowned, this could be tricky business.
"The White Rose? I honestly don't know," She admitted truthfully, wondering if the professor would actually believe her. It was the truth after all.
Aria Casanov - June 24, 2008 07:23 PM (GMT)
Aria frowned and studied the girl. She didn't seem to be lying...but she needed to find out who this 'White rose' group was and who led them. Ah well, she thought, I tried.
Suddenly she didn't care anymore about giving the girl detention and she realized how tired she was from the long day.
"Forget it Miss. Bryant. You have no detention, stay here as long as you like." And with that she turned back to look over the grounds.
