Lily-Ann lay in a chair, her legs hanging from the the arm of the chair, her head on the other arm. She swung her legs back and forth, wishing she was wearing one of her dresses, not the stuffy uniform. Her long hair dangled from the chair, touching the ground of the library. She had been here since early in the morning, and a stack of books lay at one side and a smaller stack lay at the other. One would think the smaller stack to be the ones she had already read, but this was not so, she had read all the books in the large stack, and was now reading a thick book, everybit of her inside the story. Lily-Ann heard someone trip over her stack of books, and she jumped up, dropping the book she was reading.
"Oh, oh..." She said staring, "A-a-are you alright?" She asked, carefully stacking the books back up, but keeping her face on the person.
The day had held little to no excitement, many students in the common rooms or meandering around the grounds. Arourianna, however, found her refuge within the walls of the library, her sharp green eyes scanning quickly over book titles. Not entirely sure of what she was looking for, Rouri simply walked the shelves, fingers browsing dusty spines, her nose full with the musty aroma of age. Comfort always found her here, and after more than ten minutes of searching, Arourianna found the book of her choice.
It was thick with wrinkled yellow pages, the title of the book scratched from the spine. Intrigued, Rouri pulled it off the shelf, holding it gingerly in her hands. As she opened the book a cloud of dust filled her nostrils, causing her to sneeze, but her curiousity didn't allow her to set it aside. The inside was neatly written with a fine point quill. There was no name in the book and it seemed to her as if she had come across someone's journal. The quality of the binding told her it had to be somewhere between fifty and a hundred years old. Smiling as though she found a treasure, she tucked the book into her cloak and began to walk towards the exit.
Her mind completely wrapped around her finding, Rouri forgot to pay any attention to where her feet were carrying her. With one mistaken step she felt herself head straight for the floor. With a loud, "Oomf," she collided with stone, her book flying out from under her cloak. "Oh, oh...A-a-are you alright?" Grumbling, Rouri gathered herself off the floor, turning a sharp eye to the person staring back at her. "I'm fine," her tone was icy, "though perhaps you should watch where you lay your belongings."
OOC: Sorry it took so long to reply!
Lily-Ann stared at the rudeness of the girl. Then she smiled, a sweet and innocent smile. She looked as if she planned to do nothing.
"Sorry, They really weren't in the way though, you just should pay more attention or somepeople will think you're a bit of a..." Lily-Ann paused for affect, and looked as if she was trying to find the word, "A Scatter brain?" She said, raising a eyebrow. The smile was what made the whole sentence more frightening.
"Look love, I'm not out to argue, I'm just here to read so why don't you scurry on back to the common room and read that book you took, and be happy. Or, whatever you intend to be with that book." Lily-Ann smiled, although she had been reading, and had been in the book, her mind took in everything that happened around her so she would remember it better later.
